Been here loads of times tonight's was disappointing the hamburger supper was so greasy , it did look like like it had been took out with a soup label. No complaints about the sausage supper. The fish supper was small but OK. Maybe because it was a bit busy , I don't know , disappointing. Staff always friendly . Prices are a bit high though.

1 small Fish & chips cool. Delivery charge for 500 yards £3.20. Daylight robbery. Never again. I'll collect in future.

No complaints about this place Joe and his team are warm and friendly Always very busy, but fresh cooking means good quality meals Never had any complaints, In my opinion, it's the best fish supper in Aidrie. Well done, guys, keep up the good work

Fish supper was outstanding, only bad point was owner wouldnt sell me jar of gherkins!!!! Very strange

We got a delivery tonight , phoned as my dinner looked as if it been turned upside down, Girl was lovely on the phone and was going to replace order, There food is normally good.

Food lovely, disappointed that pickled onions were not in! I asked to get them put in with fish chips. Then asked again as I didnt see them being put in. So after asking twice still not in 😠

Came home to Scotland for a visit and found the best fish n chip shop in the world, TJ Fryer. The special fish supper was to die for and the chips just like they used to be. We have amazing seafood in Australia but no e come close to the haddock sold here. The place is spotless, staff welcoming and the food incredible. Value for money without a doubt Can't wait until my next trip home

Best chippy I've ever had ...will be sad to move from Airdrie....this is about the only thing I'll miss.

I was very disappointed today when I received my order it was nearly cold by the time I got it was not impressed with the fish and chips had to put them in the oven for 15 to 20 min to heat them up

The attitude and customer service from this shop is honestly worse than none. The boss so so rude. The counter assistants attitude is shocking for a customer facing role. Food is rotten, dry crispy chips. Avoid this place like the plague.

Got chip steak supper not as good as the first one three week earlier .the chips were terrible.

Quick service, even though they are following the Covid guidelines which necessitate customers standing outside until their order no is called. Food was tasty and hot. Staff very pleasant. Prices very competitive.

First time I have been to this chippy and I must say I will be back, cleanest shop I have been in and service was top notch

I only ever get the large battered fish and chips here and for the most part it's always well cooked and tasty. Every so often they can be a little stingy with their chips on busy days, but still a decent chip shop.

The staff are excellent and I've never been disappointed with anything I've ordered

We really thought we fund the one but on Thursday 1st July 2021 that happy idea soon became a question mark on the Friday 2nd July 2021 as like with many other fast food establishment myself hubby and the dog had upset tummies as the last few times using TJ Fryers everything was great the flavor if the fish and batter were great but on Friday I noticed the fish was stronger in smell (fishy F**** Time lol ) so won't be using them for a wee while so the search goes on

We have had special fish&chips the last two weeks I would go to say they are the best we have had for a long long time the fish are done to perfection the chips are yummy cant wait till we call again keep up the good work

Read a few reviews before I went....just passing through, some people take reviews to seriously, no-one really cares what Ur problem is... As long as the foods good, well we enjoyed the food. 👍

Good, tasty chippy. Only ever ordered fish, sausage and fritters but been the best in the area I've tried over the years. Sometimes the chips are package separate from the fish which seems like a waste of packaging but maybe enough folk have requested it to make it easier to do than not.

Good chip shop decent food and nice staff. Always remember visiting here from I was really young and it's always been called TJ Fryers as far back as I can remember

Food is great but was in on Friday 11th dec and no following social distancing only 2people meant to be in at a time but with staff looking on there was seven people in shop very poor attitude to current situation

This is my local chippy and I use it regularly. Always happy with my food. I wanted to take the time to write a review tonight, because things didn’t go exactly to plan - but I was impressed with how it was handled. Decided to add on an Ice Blast slush on to the meal tonight - wee surprise for the kid. It didn’t arrive. The driver said he’d be sort it. I thought - “Here we go... we’ll see this in another hour”. But he was back at the door with it just after we’d put the food on to plates. Things can go wrong anywhere - it’s how you fix them that matters. Top marks.

Starting eating from tj fryers during lockdown and can honestly say there hasn't been a single time we've been disappointed in the standard and quality of all they produce. Fish and chips are really tasty, and the pizzas are just like you get in a first class Italian restaurant. If you haven't tried them its time you did.

Large special fish and black pudding supper was 1 eh the best I had in North lankshire. We will be back soon.

Fantastic. food out of this world

Just walked in and ordered food 30 mins ago. Big sign outside that states 2 people are allowed in. Only myself and my Partner were standing there, the lady over the counter with tattoos rudely told us to go outside. No explanation or politely asking us to wait and would call our ticket number, just speaking with an attitude. I’m so bloody angry 😠 We checked the sign outside and nowhere does it say this. I won’t be back due to the shocking service, you should be disgusted with how you speak to customers paying for there food. I stay in Airdrie and will be spreading the word to my family and neighbours thinking of eating here, off the hook is much better especially if you want the special fish. Food wasn’t worth the hassle of the staff.

Had large special fish supper between two. Was really good and the chips were great. This is our go to chippy when in area and never disappoints.

Starting using this chippie a few weeks ago. First time fish was amazing. Tonight all 5 fish suppers were disappointing. Chips were good but the fish was rotten. Overcooked and very dry

We have used this take away regularly for over 10 years. Was always best in the area by far. Recently had a few ups and downs which you would expect until Now, ordered for the family the other night and it was rotten, and I mean ROTTEN special fish was more batter than fish, pizza was rubber, chips were hard. Kids immediately felt ill afterwards most of it ended in the bin . I called The shop Joe was busy and going to call back, but guess what still waiting . I would not normally write a review like this on a business as i would give them a chance to rectify it but REALLY is this how you treat your loyal customers. Thats ok plenty more fish in other fish shops.

Have been going to sizzlers for the last couple of years ,lways had a good meal there. Had a special fish, meant to be 2 slice and portion of chips and was over 10pnd. Was really dissapointed, thought i would give them a pne to let them know, the response i got was shocking! Won't be hurrying back there

Recommended to go here by a local. First visit for family of visitors and a family of new Airdrie residents. Got the some chippie boxes and a few other meals. Fantastic taste, fantastic value, full tums all round. We will be back 😁

Placed an order here on Wednesday as the food is always really nice got delivered not a issue, ordered from there tonight at around 18:30, been waiting over and hour and a half so called only to be told they had declined it as it's in Coatbridge and is outside the delivery area, no email no phone call to inform me, now have 2 young kids waiting for their dinner and now need to find something else, appalled.

Great food and fast service. Friendly staff and well presented. My only downside (it happens everywhere) is that they don't give much time to let you read the menu in the shop. Not a major thing really.

Amazing food great prices staff are really friendly

Just had fish and chips from here. It was Not nice at all! The fish did not taste like haddock it was very strong flavoured and very, very dry. It was very difficult to digest so I put it outside for my neighbours cat. Will not be back!!

Used to be great chippy but not so good now as i asked for fresh chips when I placed an ordered for delivery and when i called to complain that the chips were not fresh I heard someone swearing in the back ground and I was told that if I didn't like the chips I should go elsewhere. So not great customer service coz if they keep telling customer that get something wrong with there chips to go elsewhere they will loss a lot of customers

We usually love the chips, but tonight after having to wait at 6:20pm, we found the chips tasted and looked more like Friday night re-heats. Disappointed TJ! Please don’t do this, get back to your usual lovely looking clean white chips!

Fish suppers, decent portions hot and filled the hole. Reasonable cost. Parking a bit awkward, but we went on foot.

Food is good, Joe has it back to what it was , best in town 👍
