Tiny Rebel Cardiff in Cardiff

Tiny Rebel is my favourite music venue. The performance room upstairs is the perfect size for intimate performers. The lighting and production staff are so accommodating. I was impressed by the two security guys who were so friendly and efficient. I felt welcomed and safe in their hands. The bar staff are so friendly. The venue is easily accessible with bus and train station nearby. The atmosphere outside the venue is a party time with clwb Ivor Bach and Witherspoon in the lane with the iconic City Arms. It is a very safe area to socialise in. The punters are friendly and welcoming. I love it there. Well done Tiny Rebel. MamaRaz

Excellent range of really nice beers and food . Great staff and location. My only slight criticism is that it can get really noisy when very busy with voices bouncing off the brick ceiling / walls. If TR can sort this issue (there are ways 👍), then it would be 5 star all the way.

Always enjoy going here! Had a great Friday night there recently with work colleagues, lots of great beers to choose from and I know from experience that the burgers and dirty fries are pretty epic too!

Really cool spot. Great selection of Tiny Rebel and guest beers on tap. Changes often enough too. Staff knew their stuff when it came to recommendations. I definitely recommend checking it out for a drink if you're in Cardiff for the day

Nice place they took my order by mistake , it was a veggie burger instead of a regular meat one , corrected it right away and topped my beer for the mistake , these are the things that make a difference :)

Beer is great - loads off choice. Friendly staff. I'm not at huge fan of the decor, but others seem to like it. Only had drinks

Tiny Rebel beers are very good and this is a great taphouse for them. The food is also very good and top notch service from the bar staff. Worth booking a table but if it looks a little busy there is a beer hall upstairs with plenty of space.

Great selection of craft beer but seriously let down by the bad attitude of the staff who clearly think they are far too important to be serving you. (I’m talking about you, Travis Kelce wannabe).

Fine Ale Central in the heart of Cardiff.

Visited on a Saturday night, and the bar was lively and fun without being overcrowded. Cracking playlist in the bar. If course the real reason to go to Tiny Rebel is for their excellent beers and if you've not tasted them on draft before you really need to! Barstaff were really friendly, allowing you to try before you buy and we stayed for longer than we originally planned to as it was such a great vibe in there

Bar staff haven’t gotten a clue regarding what there selling, manager sneezed over newly cleaned glasses. Really a brewery that big bad bar

Second time visit. A really lovely welcome from the staff, despite being by myself. The bar staff went over and above what I would expect. Beer is always excellent and the really good food.

Incredible beer selection and very friendly bar staff. Visited a few times over a long weekend in Cardiff and never had a bad experience. Always something new to try on the bar. Decent music being played too and the door staff are sound.

Cracking beer - even better in person!

We had my partner’s 30th birthday party in the beer hall upstairs on Saturday night. The whole thing was fantastic. The team were so helpful with the booking experience, the buffet food was brilliant, the atmosphere was great and the staff went above and beyond on the night. I would definitely have another party there and we are so grateful to Tiny Rebel for a wonderful night.

Service as always excellent. Granted late on a Sunday and like all bars in the area, very, very quiet. Decent range, perhaps a little on the safe side although being picky here.

Great brewery bar, only had drinks but very good

Nice bar, shame about the cider, which was all excessively sweet. Tried the Hogan's and it was like syrup. Avoided the mango and rhubarb options. Tried the only other cider on tap whose name I now forget, and it was also far too sweet. Thankfully I'd only ordered a half pint. Gave up and moved on after that. I'm not asking for the dryest of dry cider - I'll drink a Thatchers blood orange or lemon happily - but there just wasn't anything there for me.

Just drinking. Beers on offer changed in 24 hours. Tiny rebel and guest range superb.

We were treated to lunch here by some friends and would absolutely come back again. We arrived early doors and were glad we did as the place did fill up fast. Music was really great too which meant we ended up spending ages here just chatting, drinking, and enjoying ourselves. We tried the following and ranked our favourites in order of most favourite on the right, to least favourite on the left.... But your preference may vary... That's the fun.

Went there for a family birthday. We were well looked after

The beers are excellent. The food was very disappointing. I had the Nashville hot. To start with it wasn't hot, then it was incredibly crispy and dark. But the worst part was the chips, so covered in salt I couldn't eat half of them

Long wait for food and when it did come it was mediocre! The venue was lovely but a few of the staff came across as a little rude.

We were staying in Cardiff for the weekend and we were told to check out Tiny Rebel. We tried to on our first evening there, but it was absolutely rammed and we couldn't get in (the sign of a good place!).We returned earlier on the Sunday and enjoyed a lovely pint of Hogan's cider sat in the sun.

The place seemed great for students. Honestly not my scene as I'd tried the beers already in Newport and they're just not how I like, but it's great to see local brews and people did rave about them! I did like the cider, very tasty. I wouldn't go back as music, staff, atmosphere wasn't the kind of place I frequent but id tell others that it's there.

Great pub, good beer, lots of places to sit, if you don't mind stairs.

Excelente place, good vibe and nice environment all around. Multiple rooms and Private places to hire as well. Only issues for me was the prices being higher than I expected - £5.25 for a pint is way to expensive...

Visited on Bank Holiday Monday. Quite busy but found seating inside easily. Had a lovely lunch with good ales to wash it down. Great building, the interior would make a great film set.

The beers are unique and good. The music could be better. And they had no nuts.

Great bar that's ideal for anyone attending a gig in the national stadium. We visited prior to the Bruce Springsteen gig and really enjoyed the selection of ales available and the vibe of the bar.

Wow! What a pub. Fabulous beer (chocolate porter this time) and delicious, reasonably priced food.Best veggie nachos ever.Portions are very generous too. Staff couldn’t have been friendlier, excellent thank you 👏👏.

Huge selection of beers & IPAs. Would definitely return when I'm in the area. Staff are good & quick at the bar, and there's plenty of seating options.

Local brewery that also hosts beera from other breweries. The types of beers we tried were quite light, not so much flavour. The Bristol rhubarb cider was like a soft drink and flat. The pub is ok.

I really enjoy coming for food and drinks in tiny rebel. The staff are always friendly and there is always a large range of drinks to try there. The food selection here is good and a reasonable price for town center. I was disappointed at what looked like mould on the table. Apart from that, definitely recommend wether it's for lunch or a late night drink

Found this little gem of a pub on a resent trip to Cardiff... Great selection of craft beers.My daughter particularly liked the raspberry cream soda ale. Where I went for the raspberry cider which was lovely. Food very tasty too. Such a chilled out atmosphere and really friendly and helpful staff. Prices for drinks a bit steep, but to be expected in city centre. Only complaint is that its card only!

Amazing food, great selection, funky beers The Rebel fries are a must try! Reccomend you visit here and it's a stones throw from the Pince of Pality Stadium

It was my first time visiting Tiny Rebel for twisted by design indie disco upstairs. It was quite quiet to begin with, got busier as I was leaving. Great music will be visiting again soon.

Nice selection of beers and food is ok. However, very poor service at the bar. Used to come here often but never again.

Guys if you are visiting Cardiff and want a Sunday roast there is only one place to visit , bypass the £100 eateries near and go to Tiny Rebel , still the best Sunday lunch in town, great meat reasonably priced and of course the beer speakers for itself 👍and it’s always hot .

Sunday roast was excellent. Beer selection was good, but no dark beers on cask. The keg affagato stout was spectacularly good. Came back for more of the stout on Tuesday. There's a piano in one of the rooms, but it is catastrophically out of tune, so not playable, pity about that.

First time in rebel staff friendly tried the 313 larger was good. Atmosphere was buzzing and warm. Will try there again.

Decided on a day trip to Cardiff with a view ro visiting Tiny Rebel and I'm so glad we did. The boneless buffalo wings were superb, as were the burritos. As for the beers, the range was excellent and staff were great too!

Great beer and a wonderful Sunday lunch. Will be back. Takes a while for the meal to be delivered but I reckon its because it's freshly done. Sunday lunch has got to be one of the best pub style lunches in the City Centre. Never managed to finish one yet but they are great and large! Well worth a visit. Last visit today, 12th November 23. Visited 11th February 2024 and it's fair to say lunch was very poor compared to what they've done before. There was a scraggy chicken leg with hardly any meat on it. Have knocked 2 stars off the food. Very disappointing.

Love this place. Also recently discovered they do the best vegan roast we’ve ever had! Very tasty, piping hot and even includes Yorkshire puddings. Great for visiting with kids too as their portions very good value.

Went there for Sunday lunch and was very disappointed, the food looked nothing like the pictures posted online and the veg was sparse to say the least. Staff were good , but the rest was a bit of a let down
