Lovely little tapas restaurant in Brighton. Busy so worth booking. Very welcoming and friendly staff, couldn't fault them. The food is wonderful, high quality and the waiting staff appeared to know about every menu item and were happy to offer guidance on choices to prevent over ordering. We had a fab evening there - highly recommended.

Food here is delicious and ser vice with a smile. Will definitely come back.

Food and drinks are worth it! Best tapas in Brighton by far. Service can be a little slow once the food is ordered, but honestly the slower pace of eating was very Mediterranean. It’s easy to pick small things to critique, but I love this place. The specials are worth trying every time!

Lovely little tapas, not quite the best in Brighton but pretty good. Wandered in on a busy lunchtime, don’t know what was happening in Brighton but the place was rammed like the last weekend before Christmas. My partner had been here before and recommended it. So in we went. We were lucky and were gracefully placed on the last free table for 3. Ordered the Alhambra beer, a lovely Andalusian drink that I have had before and water. The food was well cooked and tasted great. A little less spicy than I was expecting but all tastes nice but could have been a little more tasty. Some of the best parson peppers I have had outside of Madrid was a highlight. The barbecue chicken wing were well cooked and covered in sauce. The patatas auguela were good but could have been a little sharper in the taste, they were a bit cool. The gamas pill pill great and made with large prawns so very filling. Overall the food was great, the service a kind of fun chaos that reflects a personal owned restaurant and not a chain was more fun than a problem. Would recommend to anyone who likes Tapas. Service

Absolutely lovely restaurant, the food was delicious and the servers were very attentive. I popped in for dinner with my mum, it's the perfect place for a good catchup.

Always have a lovely time here. The food is delicious, rich and tasty. Try the aubergine dish! Great atmosphere and location in the centre of town and we’ve always had thoughtful service. Plus it’s good value for money. Love it.

It’s a nice decent place for dinner, not bad at all. Im Spanish and maybe I don’t see the vibe completely there and the food could be better, but as a spanish restaurant in the UK, it’s ok.

Unreal experience at Tinto last night! The food was INCREDIBLE. I’m convinced at least one of the chefs or owner is Spanish because they know what they are doing 😍 The staff were super friendly and made us feel so welcome and incredibly thoughtful. The atmosphere was good and there’s honestly no complaints! I’m so glad we found this spot and I would recommend to anyone visiting Brighton! We will defiantly be back.

Really nice tapas place, staff friendly & cosy inside. Food it good, nothing that will blow your mind, tasted better than it looked, authentic. The goats cheese & sauce on meatballs were the stand out on savoury but the best dish was the orange flavoured crem catalan . Lost a point as the bravas tasted burnt, very dark in colour & the sauce with them wasn’t great. Would come back again as a convivial place to eat & drink.

We've been here a few times and always had an amazing meal, and yesterday we went for my Dad's birthday. They gave us a fantastic booth table, and popped a candle on his dessert as we sang, and it was perfect. The food, well, it was incredible. We tried a Beef Brisket special which was just so delicious, the tortilla was perfect too, a gorgeous beetroot salad, cod, mushrooms, and the Ropa Vieja was to die for. Honestly, if you've not tried this place, you need to. As usual, we'll be back, a local favourite.

Fantastic tapas place in central Brighton

Excellent food but a bit pricey, the Sangria was the only thing disappointed us along with the slow service from the waiter that day… but excellent food I must say that!

Wife and I had lunch today, was our first time here and will be back soon. Lovely food and very good staff and surroundings. Wonderful Paellas.

We've eaten here a few times now and every time has been excellent! If you're looking for amazing Spanish food, this is your place without a doubt! I would totally recommend if you're in Brighton

My friend and I are regular visitors to Brighton and this is one of our favourite restaurants there. The service is friendly and efficient, every tapas dish we try is very tasty and perfectly cooked and the atmosphere is lovely.

First time here and won't be the last. Nice atmosphere and the service was spot on. Having had family in Spain for 15 years I know my tapas and this is the real deal. Octopus special was really good and would highly recommend the Valencian paella. Highlight for child 2 was the stuffed churros which rendered him speechless 😍. Don't miss out on this place.

We had a great evening here. The food was lovely, as were the staff. A nice little bonus was the cocktail bar upstairs where we went whilst waiting for our table. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced .

Great little place. Service was bang on. Food was good, I have had better Tapas hence the lower score, but the menu is incredibly good. Overall little to fault.

We had a very tasty pre theatre meal before heading off to Dome just round the corner. The staff were lovely and friendly. We ordered 6 dishes between 2 of us with a pudding, and non alcoholic drink each and it came to £70. Would definitely recommend! 😋

Very disappointing Wednesday night we decided to go out for tapas so we went to Tinto, my wife is allergic to garlic so I asked if they could do the paella without garlic and they said no. It is obvious that it is already cooked, otherwise all you have to do is not put it in. You don't have to put GARLIC in every dish to make the food taste delicious.

I took my Spanish boyfriend for a date at this restaurant. We were impressed with the food and the service was good at first. The seating we were given wasn’t great, we were sat next to the door which was freezing. Unfortunately after our dessert we were left for almost half an hour without being asked if we would like anything else or the bill as the waitress was chatting with staff members. I had to go and ask for the bill in the end which annoyed us. The “optional” service charge was added to the bill which I found a bit cheeky as you would have to ask for it to be taken off if you weren’t happy with the service which could be awkward.

Luckily we managed to get a walk in seat without reservations. The food was good and arrived promptly.

Really good Tapas, easily one of the best tapas restaurants I've been to. Food came quickly and was of good quality. Dessert was really nice as well. The main restaurant was full so we ate outside which was OK, The only slight little thing was the little slugs coming on the table at the end which is not the restaurant's fault we just moved seats and we had eaten the main food at that point and was just waiting on the dessert. I would definitely eat here again. Highly recommend

Took my wife here last night as a pre-show treat. The food was absolutely delicious with a fun, bustling atmosphere. Service was speedy and welcoming and the bill was reasonable. Brilliant 👍

Not worth the price, okay tapas, but no more than that. Probably had higher expectations. Was difficult to talk because was very loud unfortunately, otherwise cozy little restaurant. Nice staff.

Lovely food, we definitely ordered way too much the paella and maybe one tapas dish is definitely enough for two!

They didn't lie when they called this an easygoing Spanish eatery. Loved the cozy vibes, the food and especially their drinks. I was too hungry to take pictures of everything but definitely managed to click the Paella de Marisco, which was deliciosa! Pimientos del Padron was surprisingly a favourite appetizer to go with the drinks, and so was their Gambas al Pil Pil. Apart from the spot-on Margarita, I cannot recall the names of the liquer we had (for all the good reasons!), but do go for the Spanish specials with a mix of herbs (they are sups healthy haha!). The seating could have been a bit spacious, and service a bit quicker, but they did their best with what they got!

Excellent food. Service could have been better. Staff asking if we wanted anything else when we were still waiting for ordered food to arrive. Had to request bread 3 rimes and had given up waiting as food was getting cold then 2 baskets of bread arrived in quick succession. Portion size variable. Cheese board was extremely generous. Other dishes surprisingly small.

Come here everytime we visit Brighton. Always great food and service. This time they over charged £50, then realised the error and rushed to tell us as we left. Thanks guys will see you again soon.

Great dinner! The Paella 🥘 Mariscos was amazing.

If you come to Brighton, definitely go here. The calamari is especially great. I ordered one and it was so delicious that I ordered another one... The seafood paella was delicious, not too salty but seasoned well. It's full of seafood and tastes better than the paella I ate in Spain. A taste that makes you wonder who the chef is

Delicious tapas & great service! Recommend the tostada sobrasada, chorizo a la siora & bacalao a la riojama. 6 dishes is more than enough for 2 hungry people. Sangria was also very good.

We were originally a take of 7 and had to change to 8 last minute. They cant usually accomodate a table of this size and moved tables around to get us squeezed in. Everybody loved the food, service was fantastic and very well priced. Will definitely return, thank you for having us.

I’ve visited this restaurant many times and never disappointed. If you wan super tasty tapas then this is the place to come. Great food, great staff and doesn’t break the bank. Look forward to our next visit.

Great experience in the heart of Brighton! The tapas were delicious and varied. Each dish was a treat with authentic and well-balanced flavors. The choice is vast, which allows you to discover a nice variety of flavors. Warm service and friendly atmosphere.

Absolutely lovely!! Had dinner there with my teenage son. We were supposed to be a party of 3 but we're reduced to 2 on the night. On hearing this they still sat us in one of their delightful booths which I admired rather than squeeze us in to a smaller table. Food was well flavourf, service quick and attentive. Will definitely visit again.

This is my 'go to' eatery if I'm in central Brighton for concerts or theatre. The tapas are good and authentic and the prices are very reasonable. A nice range of wines by the glass. The outside eating area is on a street which which shows off the best and the worst of Brighton street life at times (hence 4 stars under 'Atmosphere') but just be aware of that when you choose your table. I would advise booking.

restaurant in a tourist area, honestly there are very few Spanish restaurants in the UK, of course in proportion to everything else. As soon as I saw this in Brighton I wanted to go in immediately to eat the very famous Paella. Well-furnished and welcoming place, the staff was also kind and attentive, the rooms and bathrooms were clean and tidy. We ordered some very good supplì and a mixed fry, also good but not exciting. Obviously we tried the Paella, portion for 2 at £36, good but not as much as the original, the mixed fish didn't excite me and the amount of rice was for one person. I had a glass of draft beer, I recommend a circuit wash. Good experience, excellent starters in general, recommended.

What a great find! Tinto Taperia is an authentic Spanish tapas restaurant, I have eaten all over Spain and there is nothing missing on the menu. I shared several plates with my wife which were all delicious, from Padron peppers to gambas with garlic, even the desserts were authentic which is unusual. The staff were lovely and well trained, just the right amount of attention, we weren't left wanting and the they didn't hang around waiting. Our main server was a lovely French young lady, the order was well taken and delivered. Good wine & sherry too! Five stars all the way xx

Probably the best Spanish restaurant I ever been so far. And I have been in many around the world.

Absolutely fabulous food, hot and delicious. Will definitely return. Waitress, Daisy, was faultless. She was quick and efficient in her post, describing everything on the menu we queried . She added a warm and friendly feeling to the service. She is an asset to your team. Only downside was the loud,drunk people around the area who even came asking customers for money. Thankfully the police came and moved them on.

Free entertainment in fact nearly customer participation with the street scene outside, staff handled well defusing the occasional outburst from the more than merry entertainers, sad the restaurant has to deal with them twice in the time we were eating and after speaking a regular thing, good food, value for money possibly not, staff friendly and polite, would I go again? Possibly not as other great eateries in Brighton but if you are passing then yes call in, didn’t appreciate them adding service charge to my bill, certainly not worth 10% tip sorry

The food is delicious, lovely range. The chocolate stuffed churros are gorgeous and the Amoretto sour is yummy. The staff are lovely, highly recommend.

Fabulous meal here. Excellent choice of food. So accommodating for allergies as well. Our server, Will, was super, interactive and had great customer service. Would 100% recommend to anyone.

The food is nice, the size of the tapas is adequate. Staff recommended 2 to 3 tapas per person, this ratio is good. The Sangria is lovely. Staff are both friendly and professional.

Really great tapas and delicious cocktails! Stopped for a late lunch and had a lovely window seat with the windows open. Really great service too! Definitely worth a stop. (We had the sobrasada and smoked cheese, padrons, croquettes, canarian potatoes, and garlic chilli prawns)

Delightful staff member was so helpful when I phoned to request celebratory drinks to be placed on my grand daughter's table. It was a pleasure doing business with the Tinto Taperia. (unlike another [Thai] restaurant which would not accept card payment and nearly doubled the price of their champagne to the price shown on their menu)

Don’t hesitate folks this is one of the best restaurants in Brighton paella Valenciana was so fresh and delicious and Spanish black pudding is my personal favourite tapas. We returned for the first time in a year and good to see the quality of food and service is still just a good as it was a year ago

Decided to give To to a try while on a few days trip to Brighton and have to say that we weren't disappointed. Genuinely one of, if not the best tapas I've ever had. Staff recommended 2-3 dishes per person and this is the perfect amount. The battered goats cheese (Queso de Cabra Frito) and the Chicken thighs in White Wine and Garlic sauce (Pollo al Ajillo) were out of this world. A jug of Sangria will easily fill 2-3 glasses each for 2 people as well. Very friendly and approachable staff with a great atmosphere, cosy and warm without being too loud so that you're shouting to be heard. I can't recommend it highly enough.
