Awesome place, smashin food and great flavours

Unable to rate the food, however will say that we were really excited to try here the menu sounded fantastic and from what we could see the food looked and smelt amazing, really good portion sizes for the price. However, when we walked in the staff member that greeted us didn’t utter a single word to welcome us, instead walked away and then pointed at a window table to sit at. After at least 15 minutes no one had come to take a drink order or ask if we were ready to order food. Next sat a couple next to us and within 5 minutes their server appeared and began taking their order. While I understand places are busy and may be short staffed simple things like this shouldn’t be missed, we went up to leave and passed 3 members of staff and not one bothered to ask if everything was ok, really poor overall service.

I love this place, try the Mee Gratiam or the beef noodle soup and get some lychee juice. Fast service, really nice food, not very expensive.

Best food around, solid 10/10, pad tai is to die for. The staff aren’t very friendly but they tend to be very attractive so that and the food makes up for it 👍

Great service, clean and nice looking restaurant, Pad Thai was very bland and flavourless, didn’t expect it to be as good as what I had whilst travelling Thailand for a month, but it wasn’t even close. Cocktails were very tasty.

10/10 as always, we always love the food here but tonight it was particularly tasty! We always get the roti and the massaman curry, and we also got the green curry too. And banana fritters for dessert which were delish. Rosie was a nice server too, thank you!

My experience here was so lovely. All the waiters were super kind and sweet. The kaprao was so good, but I thought the egg would come with it (it costs an extra pound 🥲 which is fine but that’s ashame). If you don’t like coconut milk or anything coconut-y, don’t get the green curry. OVERALL I LOVED IT SO MUCH, thank you!!

Came here for pad see ew , drove here specifically for this . Was given a pad Thai version . Please don’t advertise authentic Thai food when the dishes are literally not what are advertised. Pad see ew is flat noodles not rice noodles

Really disappointed, ordered on deliveroo the food looked nothing like the photos online. Just quite bad and it hadn't travelled well soggy pork scratchings to garnish the dish what they were thinking. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Slammed my mates curry instead

No hello or goodbye. I sat waiting for the menu and went to another restaurant nearby where everyone is not so busy and sees the customers.

First timer. Delicious food! We went just late lunch time and it was quieter so ideal for a relaxed lunch and a chat. Staff were very attentive.

Have frequented this restaurant (Byres Road) on numerous occasions. Food is good. Last night around 5pm had a dog barking in seats behind us. Really! Dog in a restaurant? I have owned 2 dogs in the past but would never consider subjecting fellow patrons to that experience, not to mention hygiene issues. Paid for our drinks and left. Won’t be back. Pity.

Food is not good. I ordered beef and prawn dish and was served uncooked prawns so had to send them back only to receive more uncooked prawns back. Unfortunately staff were not present and as it was only 3 prawns in the dish I decided just to eat the beef instead. I ordered Pad Thai for my boy and it was very greasy and very heavy on the soy sauce. It was not pad Thai at all. The staff kindly took my meal off the bill and whilst another member of staff went out his way to apologise about my experience, he did also act like it was my problem by saying “sorry it wasn’t to your liking” then walking away. I don’t think uncooked prawns or that attempt at pad Thai would be to anyone’s liking. This is my second negative experience here, the first time at can i least the pad Thai was a little closer to being pad Thai but everything else was terrible. I had hoped that was just one off then.

I adore this place! Never had a bad meal! Lots to choose from, reasonable prices, and tasty food which is important! Would recommend the chicken pad Thai and the Thai green curry. Also the sweet potato things were awesome! However, the service was somewhat lacking this time which is a shame as we had taken friends here to eat who came up from Liverpool. We ordered drinks which came after our food and we had to ask where our drinks were. Came out quickly afterwards but was a little disappointed. The food made go for it though as it was really tasty!

This place started off good but has rapidly gone downhill. Portion sizes have dropped considerably & beer battered prawns are dry possibly pre cooked then refried. Not good!!

Seems a pretty simple place,good food,chill atmosphere and very cheap...will definitely be returning in the future. Definitely has a bit of passion in the food and cocktails

A couple of months ago I went to Ting Thai in Glasgow and absolutely LOVED it…raved about it to everyone! So was excited to go back to Ting Thai this week - this time trying the Byres road branch…and what a disappointment! It felt like I was visiting a totally different restaurant! The staff weren’t the friendliest and service was slow! But I could have overseen that if the food shone…it didn’t! I ordered the same dish I had at the Glasgow Ting Thai and it wasnt nearly as good! It totally lacked flavor and spice - whereas the Glasgow one punched with flavor and spice (Pad Ka-Phrao)! I honestly reckon they forgot to put the chilies in! On the plus side the condensed milk iced coffee was delicious and the food is reasonably priced! Needless to say - if I ever do Ting Thai again, it’s not going to be this branch!

Thai restaurant, very good, not excessive. But a little noisy...

Bit quiet at start of lunch but got busier as we sat. Food, was good; crispy noodles with pork and chicken egg noodles.

Great spot for dinner. Service was friendly and the food was great. Pad Thai was a good size portion and very tasty. My dad had the chilli chicken which was also fantastic.

This place really have a great value for money. And the food, spot on 10/10. You should try their Thai green curry. Badabest.

Oh wow! Love the menu! Wide selections of Thai dishes to choose from 😍 We tried the pork belly massaman with coconut rice 🍚 OMG! The coconut rice was amazing 👏🏻 The porke belly massaman was out of this world. The pricing is really good too for the portions you get!!!

Would love to give a better rating than a 1 starts review - still good eat but lots of wrongs. We saw the menu with a reasonable cheap price, and we decided to go in. Turns out none of the dishes come with rice … even for curry… £3 FOR A RICE on top of a £8 dish … which makes things expensive… I also ordered a chicken pad thai. The favour is the okey, but i found bones in the chicken.

Food very basic and bland. Wasn't terrible but really nothing special either. Wouldn't go back, it's a bit meh. A good Thai restaurant in Glasgow is Chawp Pet Noi in the south side! The staff were nice but it wasn't anything amazing food wise.

Probably some of the best food I've had in my life. I was thinking I won't find good food in the UK, but this place proved me wrong and then some!

I ordered a Mee Gratiam with beef. You can choose to add beef/pork/shrimp to the noodle. The price for it is 8.10. I don’t what you can have for 8.10, but they add very very tiny words on the right bottom for extra fees of beef and shrimp. I was disappointed because they neither made the price clear enough for the customers nor reminding the customer about the extra fees when placing the order.

The restaurant itself and the staff are great, but the food is pretty bland. I've been twice in the last few months. The first time I thought maybe I just made some bad choices as I went for several smaller items rather than a main, so I gave it another shot. Went last weekend as a group of 4 and again the food was bland and the meat very tough. Ordered a combination of 4 mains, 2 starters, and three sides and the only thing I would order again would be the roti. The staff were brilliant at accommodating a member of our group who needed a fish dish with less spice than was available on the menu (so if we remove that dish from the review as they made it on the spot for a tricky customer), the rest of the meals sadly weren't enjoyable.

Fabulous little Thai joint with very reasonable prices and great food and service. Family friendly atmosphere. Totally delicious! We will most certainly be back

The food smells fishy. There are only food names that are Thai and the taste is too modified to the point of not having the uniqueness of Thai food. If it's not mixed together it doesn't taste good.

rejected from having a beer with dinner even with my licence as id, while i am 19, a bar id understand, but a 4% beer w a meal? at 16 in the uk i could have a cider with a meal at the same % legally.

I recently visited this Restaurant and had a mixed experience. The atmosphere is really nice, creating a pleasant setting for a meal. Prices are reasonable, which is a plus. However, the food was just okay, earning a 3 out of 5 from me. While some dishes were decent, nothing really stood out. The service was quite slow, which was a bit frustrating. Overall, it's a decent spot if you're looking for a nice place with fair prices, but I wasn't overly impressed with the food.

Literally the worst Thai food I've ever had. It's an affront to Thailand to call this thai food. Bland, over-sweet and incredibly greasy. A horrible experience that left me ill the next day.

This is turning into a regular spot for a nice lunch. The food is fresh, delicious and reasonably priced. Have tried a couple of different dishes that were very tasty, and my fellow diners also enjoyed their food a lot. Delicious bowl of spicy fried chicken with rice (Khao mun gai tod), just spectacular!

What a great place! The service was great, and the food was incredible.

Staff was friendly, and atmosphere nice (the music was a bit loud) but the food was very disappointing. I had the seabass and it had very little flavour or sauce. My friend had tofu with rice and a sauce that tasted like a cheap sweet and chillie sauce you can buy in a supermarket.

I really dislike bad service. Don't give me a menu go and chit chat with each other. No eye contact. Then when I asked for water for the table "the taps over there" in a very cheeky manner. It's a good job the foods good. In future I'll go into city centre or takeaway. I'm never rude because I appreciate working in the service industry is tough and mostly not well paid. Don't be cheeky. I was with other people and they agreed rude.

The food here was good, however so much is served in one use packaging. Companies really need to reflect on their environmental impact.

Food was amazing! Our server Rosie was so helpful and the friendliest! We brought our friends from England here and they loved it. My mum has allergies and Rosie was great at telling her what she was allowed, the options were amazing. Would definitely return.

Can't speak more highly of this establishment. As soon as we approached we were led by the hand to a beautiful table in the sun by our wonderful server Rosie. She immediately serenaded us and this set the tone for a wonderful evening. She couldn't have been more attentive and was a pleasure throughout the whole service. I think I've made a friend for life. Thank you Rosie.... thank you. Fantastic food and atmosphere too. One wee tip for future customers ordering the go go star martini but the ping pong ball garnish is not edible. Learnt that the hard way.

Great food, excellent seasoning and really good service

The food is good but I wish I knew that I can request to make it more spicier before I ordered. Portion-wise, it is okay. It is a bit surprising that this is a Thai restaurant but not serving an authentic Thai tea -- especially the red ones. However I ordered the ice tea and it's good. But definitely want to come back and try another food. Love the vibe of the restaurant, casual dining.

Food could have been more spicy, shameful that no IRN-BRU on the menu as its the number one soft drink in Scotland, Maybe this review will get them to place it on the menu. Seats are very uncomfortable

Even though the whole order arrived lukewarm the prawns were delicious. Thats the highlight. The chicken wings weren't any more special than anything you can get from a high street Chinese restaurant. Thanks for letting us know they are battered btw! Bog standard battered wings. And that honestly must be the most oily pad thai I've ever had. Paid an extra quid for King prawns expecting it to still be made with chicken and it wasn't. I had less than 3 bits of veg an overpoweringly oily noodles. Wouldn't ever go back. And thank god I had an promotional code cause I'd have sent the whole lot back if I paid full price. Wagamama and soba are literally infinitely better for pad thai. it's one of the worst I've ever had..i can still taste the oil in my mouth

The fried vegetables were soggy and the food was served in cardboard boxes which isn’t very appetising.

Really enjoyed our visit yesterday. All the dishes we ordered were delicious and tasty authentic, as well as very fresh. Staff were very accommodating and the food service was very quick. Also enjoyed some of the Thia inspired cocktails! Would definitely go back.

Fabulous restaurant. Ideal as we just wanted a quick bite & a drink. Gluten free Thai beef salad was delicious - so full of flavour & very generous portion for the price. Super, friendly staff. Looking forward to a return visit.

I’ve only visited this place once as my girlfriend says she has enjoyed it. The staff was friendly however the food I had was very chewy and I thought it tasted strange. The beef noodle soup with chillis and cabbage was all I had eaten that day. A few hours later when I went to sleep I was faced with the worst food poisoning I have ever had. I’m not sure if the ingredients were out of date and overcooked to mask the bad meat. I can categorically say it was the food from this restaurant that caused my illness and I am still recovering 2 days later.

The food is amazing! The portion sizes are huge and was overall great value for money... This one employee went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable experience, she was extremely friendly and I couldn't of asked for a better person to serve us. She was outgoing, attentive, and bubbly which made for an extremely enjoyable and memorable experience. It was a pleasure to eat here and I will definitely be back. Thank you Iona 🙂
