This place really have a great value for money. And the food, spot on 10/10. You should try their Thai green curry. Badabest.

Oh wow! Love the menu! Wide selections of Thai dishes to choose from 😍 We tried the pork belly massaman with coconut rice 🍚 OMG! The coconut rice was amazing 👏🏻 The porke belly massaman was out of this world. The pricing is really good too for the portions you get!!!

Would love to give a better rating than a 1 starts review - still good eat but lots of wrongs. We saw the menu with a reasonable cheap price, and we decided to go in. Turns out none of the dishes come with rice … even for curry… £3 FOR A RICE on top of a £8 dish … which makes things expensive… I also ordered a chicken pad thai. The favour is the okey, but i found bones in the chicken.

Food very basic and bland. Wasn't terrible but really nothing special either. Wouldn't go back, it's a bit meh. A good Thai restaurant in Glasgow is Chawp Pet Noi in the south side! The staff were nice but it wasn't anything amazing food wise.

Probably some of the best food I've had in my life. I was thinking I won't find good food in the UK, but this place proved me wrong and then some!

I ordered a Mee Gratiam with beef. You can choose to add beef/pork/shrimp to the noodle. The price for it is 8.10. I don’t what you can have for 8.10, but they add very very tiny words on the right bottom for extra fees of beef and shrimp. I was disappointed because they neither made the price clear enough for the customers nor reminding the customer about the extra fees when placing the order.

Great atmosphere and friendly staff, food was nice, Kao soi not the best but ok, lovely pad thai and yellow curry,like the relaxed vibe , would return, prices ok

The restaurant itself and the staff are great, but the food is pretty bland. I've been twice in the last few months. The first time I thought maybe I just made some bad choices as I went for several smaller items rather than a main, so I gave it another shot. Went last weekend as a group of 4 and again the food was bland and the meat very tough. Ordered a combination of 4 mains, 2 starters, and three sides and the only thing I would order again would be the roti. The staff were brilliant at accommodating a member of our group who needed a fish dish with less spice than was available on the menu (so if we remove that dish from the review as they made it on the spot for a tricky customer), the rest of the meals sadly weren't enjoyable.

As a returning customer, our visit was very good. Excellent quality food, very good value and customer service.

The food smells fishy. There are only food names that are Thai and the taste is too modified to the point of not having the uniqueness of Thai food. If it's not mixed together it doesn't taste good.

rejected from having a beer with dinner even with my licence as id, while i am 19, a bar id understand, but a 4% beer w a meal? at 16 in the uk i could have a cider with a meal at the same % legally.

I recently visited this Restaurant and had a mixed experience. The atmosphere is really nice, creating a pleasant setting for a meal. Prices are reasonable, which is a plus. However, the food was just okay, earning a 3 out of 5 from me. While some dishes were decent, nothing really stood out. The service was quite slow, which was a bit frustrating. Overall, it's a decent spot if you're looking for a nice place with fair prices, but I wasn't overly impressed with the food.

Literally the worst Thai food I've ever had. It's an affront to Thailand to call this thai food. Bland, over-sweet and incredibly greasy. A horrible experience that left me ill the next day.

This is turning into a regular spot for a nice lunch. The food is fresh, delicious and reasonably priced. Have tried a couple of different dishes that were very tasty, and my fellow diners also enjoyed their food a lot. Delicious bowl of spicy fried chicken with rice (Khao mun gai tod), just spectacular!

What a great place! The service was great, and the food was incredible.

Staff was friendly, and atmosphere nice (the music was a bit loud) but the food was very disappointing. I had the seabass and it had very little flavour or sauce. My friend had tofu with rice and a sauce that tasted like a cheap sweet and chillie sauce you can buy in a supermarket.

I really dislike bad service. Don't give me a menu go and chit chat with each other. No eye contact. Then when I asked for water for the table "the taps over there" in a very cheeky manner. It's a good job the foods good. In future I'll go into city centre or takeaway. I'm never rude because I appreciate working in the service industry is tough and mostly not well paid. Don't be cheeky. I was with other people and they agreed rude.

The food here was good, however so much is served in one use packaging. Companies really need to reflect on their environmental impact.

Food was amazing! Our server Rosie was so helpful and the friendliest! We brought our friends from England here and they loved it. My mum has allergies and Rosie was great at telling her what she was allowed, the options were amazing. Would definitely return.

Can't speak more highly of this establishment. As soon as we approached we were led by the hand to a beautiful table in the sun by our wonderful server Rosie. She immediately serenaded us and this set the tone for a wonderful evening. She couldn't have been more attentive and was a pleasure throughout the whole service. I think I've made a friend for life. Thank you Rosie.... thank you. Fantastic food and atmosphere too. One wee tip for future customers ordering the go go star martini but the ping pong ball garnish is not edible. Learnt that the hard way.

Great food, excellent seasoning and really good service

The food is good but I wish I knew that I can request to make it more spicier before I ordered. Portion-wise, it is okay. It is a bit surprising that this is a Thai restaurant but not serving an authentic Thai tea -- especially the red ones. However I ordered the ice tea and it's good. But definitely want to come back and try another food. Love the vibe of the restaurant, casual dining.

Food could have been more spicy, shameful that no IRN-BRU on the menu as its the number one soft drink in Scotland, Maybe this review will get them to place it on the menu. Seats are very uncomfortable

Just left here and the food was amazing, how they get tofu to taste so good I wish I knew. Service was impeccable and we had such a friendly waiter, unfortunately we didn't get his name. Would definitely recommend!!!

Even though the whole order arrived lukewarm the prawns were delicious. Thats the highlight. The chicken wings weren't any more special than anything you can get from a high street Chinese restaurant. Thanks for letting us know they are battered btw! Bog standard battered wings. And that honestly must be the most oily pad thai I've ever had. Paid an extra quid for King prawns expecting it to still be made with chicken and it wasn't. I had less than 3 bits of veg an overpoweringly oily noodles. Wouldn't ever go back. And thank god I had an promotional code cause I'd have sent the whole lot back if I paid full price. Wagamama and soba are literally infinitely better for pad thai. it's one of the worst I've ever had..i can still taste the oil in my mouth

Really enjoyed our visit yesterday. All the dishes we ordered were delicious and tasty authentic, as well as very fresh. Staff were very accommodating and the food service was very quick. Also enjoyed some of the Thia inspired cocktails! Would definitely go back.

Fabulous restaurant. Ideal as we just wanted a quick bite & a drink. Gluten free Thai beef salad was delicious - so full of flavour & very generous portion for the price. Super, friendly staff. Looking forward to a return visit.

I’ve only visited this place once as my girlfriend says she has enjoyed it. The staff was friendly however the food I had was very chewy and I thought it tasted strange. The beef noodle soup with chillis and cabbage was all I had eaten that day. A few hours later when I went to sleep I was faced with the worst food poisoning I have ever had. I’m not sure if the ingredients were out of date and overcooked to mask the bad meat. I can categorically say it was the food from this restaurant that caused my illness and I am still recovering 2 days later.

The food is amazing! The portion sizes are huge and was overall great value for money... This one employee went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable experience, she was extremely friendly and I couldn't of asked for a better person to serve us. She was outgoing, attentive, and bubbly which made for an extremely enjoyable and memorable experience. It was a pleasure to eat here and I will definitely be back. Thank you Iona 🙂

I’ve been to Ting Thai twice and it’s been a great experience. The food is delicious, flavourful and comforting. The portions are a bit small, so if you’re thinking of sharing you might have to order a few more dishes according to your preference. I found the prices very reasonable for the quality of food. If you like coconut-y soups, I cannot recommend enough the “Tom Kha Gai”. The “Moo Yang” is delicious and flavourful sweet pork dish. The coconut rice never disappoints. This is a great Thai restaurant and I would definitely go again!

Lovely staff and a fun environment for a quick and TASTY Thai meal. Served in paper containers, I’ve been a few times now and never been disappointed. Especially recommend the bubble prawn and the roti.

Would've been a 2 star but for the Thai green curry. I've been dining here since it opened and I can't help but compare with Ting Thai Caravan in West Nile street (Which is 5 star in my humble opinion) Staff would do well to take a leaf out of the West Nile street branch in terms of service, food and ambiance. I've dined at the Byres road branch on a number of occasions and each time there's been something amiss. Was there last night with four friends, two green curries (One friend had to ask for his curry to be topped up as the portion was significantly smaller than the other) I had Mee Gratiam with beef as did a fried and my other friend had the same dish with tofu. When the drinks, all soft, were brought to the table the waitress popped a can of coke which fizzed all over my face and top, she did apologise but this is definitely a rookie mistake first off (Popping a customers can, we were all clearly adults) My Mee Gratiam was greasy and although I ate the lot by the time I got near to the bottom of the dish, which is usually a broth like soup of all the ingredients I was met with a puddle of grease. I find the staff distant, unwelcoming, inattentive and when I went to ask for our order to be taken the staff member I asked was more focused on his smart phone than responding to me. This has been a theme and only one example of the Byres road branch, such a shame as I happen to also dine at West Nile street branch where the experience has me returning regularly as it's the best Thai food in Glasgow. I said to my friends last night the greasy Mee Gratiam and getting a can of coke popped open and splattered with (Not a lot but still left me reeling a bit) made up my mind I won't be back to Byres road.

Food is poor. Ordered pad see ew and it was super sweet, artificial and very unhealthy tasting. Nothing like what you get in Thailand. Also ordered chicken wings in a hot sauce. The wings should really be marinated rather than thrown in at the last minute. They also had a funny taste, hopefully I'm ok later! I've read other reviews and the manager keeps claiming authentic Thai food, I can assure you this is not the case. Prices were quite cheap at lunch, so perhaps its a case of you get what you pay for in Glasgow

The food was really tasty and the service was ok. What totally ruined the experience was the freezing cold temperature, like no heating when -2 outside. Also the music was far, far too loud. When I mentioned the lack of healing our waiter shrugged. Won't return

Great variety of tasty choices. Beef was slightly tough but it all tingled our taste buds and the prices weren’t too shabby.

Came for dinner and had the curry laksa which was really tasty. Huge portions for very reasonable prices. The staff were very friendly, restauraunt has nice atmosphere.

Just an all around perfect dining experience. I had the Pad See-Ew for lunch which proved to be one of the most flavourful things I have eaten this year.

The worse Thai food I ever had in my entire life. Uncooked potatoes, highly processed stinky chicken, other meats were stinky as well , even worse - rubbery (duck and beef) very little veg in dishes , mostly onion… we order different meals ending up having same curry sauce and veg in a bowl, soup was bad, no flavour at all… Staff is ok , tea was good tho, but that’s all. I am not coming back. I do not recommend it, unless you are looking for disappointment and food poisoning.

Nice atmosphere, although the chairs are very hard and uncomfortable. Service was average, they only took the order and brought the food, never checked if all was fine or if we wanted to order more. The chicken was the most tasteless, highly processed meat, the prawns and fried tofu were really good, the salad was just out of pack, half already gone leaves. Just a bit disappointing experience altogether.

Friendly service, nice food and a good menu selection

Had a lovely meal tonight and was impressed with the place. I had duck dish and Jade had beef with noodles. Amelia had a kids chicken and noodles with veg which she enjoyed also and portion sizes were good. Will visit again next time I’m out in the west end.

Poor service. Meal was served in a cardboard box despite not requesting it for takeaway and sitting at a table?? Seems the staff have better things to do than ask simple questions of their customers or even bring them water when they ask for it. Rude staff and bad vibe overall.

The food was very tasty though I felt I could have eaten more and unfortunately there was no dessert menu. Staff were unpleasant and rude. I was interrupted before finishing asking a question from two different members of staff in two separate conversations. There was a bad vibe and it felt like maybe there'd been an argument within the team and they were all left in a bad mood though I'm only speculating and hope the atmosphere isn't always like this. Felt more like a hindrance than a paying customer and it put a bit of a dampener on the good mood we were in before visiting. Still it was a nice location, nice big windows letting in a lot of light and lots of options on the menu so hopefully in time the attitude of staff will improve as I can see others have noted the same thing. Nice place to grab a tasty lunch but I wouldn't go planning your day around it.

Yam Moo Yang - pork was very dry and over was half rice pad thai was ok, chicken was a bit dry didnt get my prawn crackers ordered online via website and collected v limited entrees Website UX isnt great Service was nice enough when we collected. all in all wasn't good food or good value.

The taste was great. They adjust the Thai taste with local but still good. The service was excellent, the waitress helped me with my dietary. I love the atmosphere as well. The only regret I have is I just found out about this place recently. Had I known before I'd come here often.

Really tasty food! A good portion size too. Slightly disappointed that the pad thai came in a disposable box as must create a lot of waste but everything was delicious.

Fantastic menu, and overall good value. Three things let it down. 1. In terms of the food, the presentation let it down slightly. My massaman curry was just a bowl of orange stuff. Even just a pinch of micro coriander and a coconut shaving would have made it worth photographing. But it tasted fantastic and the portion size was just right. 2. Service was great with helpful friendly staff who managed to squeeze us in even on a Saturday evening. But the staff are all in clothes so casual that it's impossible to tell who works there and who is a diner. There doesn't need to be a fancy uniform but maybe just an apron or even a lanyard would help. 3. Atmosphere was spoiled by the minging gents toilets. Hourly checks are all that are needed, but the smell of urine had clearly been lingering for a while. This is pretty simple to address. So overall 4 stars as there's room for improvement but on the whole it was a good meal.

Hands down my favourite Thai restaurant in Glasgow. I'm Asian and crave for a tasty fresh Asian foods. While many place and their food fail me, Ting Thai definitely surpassing my expectations. Server were all warm and helpful. No hassle. The food were 100% fresh and packed with flavour. I love everything from pad thai, seabass, to the chicken chilli something. Generous portions and fair priced. It just chai tea (?) Was way too sweet and thick with sugar syrup. Also, I think visual of the menus will be helpful for non-Thai to decided faster on choosing the food.

Menu is extremely poorly laid out and the descriptions don't help you make a choice whatsoever, really a bit of a nightmare to navigate ordering. Didn't enjoy some of the food and no one seemed interested in putting that right in any way when they asked and we told them about that. For the price I feel there are much better options nearby.
