Absolutely amazing place, truly a local gem. I attended with a friend from Kerala and he confirmed the food quality was very good. At reasonably priced dishes you can have a proper feast. I am already looking for excuse to come back!

We came all the way from Bedford just to try the food here! The food is superb and is very tasty and flavourful. It had just the right amount of spice and they were very generous with the amount of food. We had the Eid menu and everything was delicious. The interior is beautifully designed and the staff are nice and attentive. As well as this the food arrives very quickly. I would definitely recommend, worth the trip.

We tried the Fish Mohini, Chatti porotta and Chicken 65. All the dishes were delicious. Feels like homemade food from back home with a touch of elegance. Will be visiting again!

Serves flavourful, authentic South Indian dishes with rich spices-just wish they had a fish combo meal. Additionally, their South Indian combo at £9.50 for rice, sambar, chicken curry and salad is too expensive.

Everything we tasted was fantastic.Taste, Quantity, Quality and Service… will definitely come back again without hesitation.

First time back since the refurb and absolutely loved the atmosphere and food! We had the squid varuval, paneer tikka, fish curry and king fish - it was honestly out of the world! Will be back again very soon! This has to be our favourite restaurant in Croydon.

His recommendations truly enhanced my dining experience, making each dish even more enjoyable. The ambiance of the restaurant added to the overall charm, creating a perfect setting for a memorable evening. I left feeling satisfied and eager to return, knowing there are still many dishes left to explore. This experience has undoubtedly made it one of my favorite dining spots in the city.

Stopped for a quick bite between buses. The Lunch combo of parotta , beef fry and sambar hit the spot. Today’s fare was the best parotta-beef I have had in a long while. Well done, Tindli. The price is good too. Also ordered the beef - cassava biryani. It is too mashed together for me. I like my biryanis to have distinct layers. Plain cassava with fried onions , a second layer mashed together with beef. final layer pure curry. Perhaps next time I will order the dishes separately and bring it together to my liking. Still, it was very tasty.

I am not a person who always give reviews for some restaurants, but honestly saying the menu was a delightful blend of traditional and contemporary indian cuisine. We had different items from the menu and all were amazing hence I cant specifically mention any specific food. Beyond the food the service was impecceable.

The best kerala restaurant in Town! We really liked everything we ordered but Porota and beef curry served in a pot was top notch and the presentation was amazing. Overall, I would recommend all this restaurant if you want to eat real authentic kerala cuisine.

Enjoyed the food immensely but was ket down by dining in the basement with very steep stairs and no hand rail. I came with 2 people who really struggled with being downstairs. Service could have been much better, given we were out of sight. We had to wait ages for milk hopper and then came without milk and by the tine it came the hopper was cold!!!

I had a wonderful dining experience at Chef Karnavar yesterday and wanted to take a moment to appreciate Mr. Jacob for his exceptional service. From start to finish, he was incredibly polite and attentive, ensuring we were well looked after throughout. His professionalism and warm demeanor truly enhanced our visit. The food was also delicious, making the overall experience even more enjoyable.

We have been Tindli customers for several years now. Tindli offers the quality of an upmarket restaurant with the true, authentic flavors of South Indian cuisine. The food is exceptional, and the service—whether dining in or taking away—is outstanding. The friendly and helpful staff make every visit enjoyable. Chef Manoj Karnavar and his team do an amazing job crafting delicious dishes that never disappoint. I’ve introduced Tindli to friends, and they absolutely love it. Highly recommended! We live 12 miles away from the restaurant, but the drive is always worth it!

Tindli Restaurant in Croydon is an absolute gem for anyone craving authentic South Indian, especially Kerala cuisine. The menu boasts an impressive variety of traditional Kerala dishes, and every bite took us on a flavorful journey back to Kerala. The appam with stew was light and fluffy, the Malabar parotta with beef fry was perfectly layered and crispy, and the chatti parotta was bursting with spices. The home made chai was the perfect finish to an already outstanding meal. A special shout-out to Shruti, who made our experience even more delightful! She was incredibly sweet, attentive, and warm, ensuring that we felt right at home. Her recommendations were spot-on, and she went above and beyond to make our visit special. The most authentic and delicious Kerala/Indian food you can get in United Kingdom. It’s not too expensive either. The staff was super friendly and service was very fast aswell. Their kerala fish curry and kappa puzhukku is what i loved the most and it blew my mind.

I just rate this place with 3 stars at the moment because few changes are needed. After reading few reviews about the jackfruit & veg biryani I tried it recently. I was quite surprised that it had tasteless frozen vegetables and also felt shocked that there were just a few tiny pieces of bland tasting tender jackfruit with no flavors at all. It was not marinated like they do for their non veg briyani dishes. It was very expensive & worthless for the price. Rice just tasted after ghee. It didn’t even have the taste of pilau rice. It was more like a mix rice with steamed veg. It was a total disappointment and I am glad that I never ordered or recommended this dish, when I visited with Tindli with my friends. Just because the team wants to promote themselves as a remarkable restaurant in Croydon, there is no need to minimize your quality of food as it is run by a renowned 5 star restaurant in a posh area. Your restaurant is in Croydon and most of your customers come from asian community so according that your price should be very convenient for them to dine out with their families. Most of the items are just too expensive and the portions are really not up to the expectations. For example the dahi vada. Family of 4 must order at least 3 portions of it so you can really enjoy it fully but for its quantity as a starter or snack, it’s definitely overpriced. Tindli members must really look into this matter and charge their customers rightfully. For example £2.50-£3.00 for gun power chips Kalappam - reintroducing the bigger size like it was at the initial stage. At that it was cheaper too. Jackfruit briyani - it’s £10 in a small little pot. It should be marinated well and cooked with fresh vegetables and proper briyani masala flavored rice. Paneer makhani - £10 Most of the veg curries are unacceptably expensive. If you charge higher than make sure you serve appropriate portions to your customers. Pazhampori with ice cream - it’s almost £7 but the worth is under £5 So there are many small things can be adjusted by the team so the dining experience is equally enjoyable for all. One dish which always stands out is FISH MOHINI. Many people might have tasted various other dishes which may have tasted great and for which they have been charged and served appropriately. Glad if they had such an overall experience. I feel some of the social media promoters of tindli are getting served on their plates far more than a regular customer. Hope such discrimination can be also changed in the future. Promoters shall speak up the truth and do justice for their viewers and also inform about the fixed prices and quantity of a dish rather only praising about the service and quality of the whole ambience. Thank you and definitely go and get your own experience.

I had a great time . I tried their special Sadhya menu, and it was absolutely delicious—just like an authentic Kerala feast! Every dish was full of flavor and beautifully served.The service was also top-notch. Jacob took really good care of us and made sure we had a great experience. He was very friendly and attentive.

Malabar chicken dum biryani is the besttt thing on the menu. The chat is amazing as well. Met the chef , he was really welcoming and sweet.

Yesterday we bought chicken briyani for Ramzan fasting but chicken in the briyani didn't cooked properly so we couldn't finish the food alart from that other foods and the services are good.

As first-time visitors, we were genuinely excited to explore the food variety at this restaurant, especially the Chattichoru. We traveled all the way from Liverpool specifically to try this dish. To ensure a smooth experience, we booked a table online and also called ahead to confirm the availability of Chattichoru during our visit. The staff member who took our call was welcoming, and we arrived at the restaurant at 4 p.m. However, we were initially concerned about the customer service. No one acknowledged us, and we had to wait about 20 minutes before asking for a menu. Surprisingly, a local group that arrived later than us was served before us. At around 4:20 p.m., we asked for the menu and quickly placed our order for Chattichoru, fish fry, and fresh lime, requesting that it be served promptly as we had been traveling a long distance and had already been waiting for a while. Unfortunately, they first brought us soda lime instead of the fresh lime we ordered. We didn't mention it at the time to avoid further delays. We then had to wait an additional 30 minutes for our food, which only arrived after we approached another staff member and inquired about it. Thankfully, after this, a staff member, possibly named Sruthi, approached us. She apologized for the delay and did everything she could to ensure we were happy with the service. She even brought us complimentary payasam and checked on us several times to make sure we were satisfied. Without her assistance, we would have rated the restaurant much lower. Sruthi was truly a blessing to the restaurant and greatly improved our mood and experience. The food itself was of excellent quality and quantity, but the customer service definitely needs improvement. We suggest that all staff members receive training in customer service and handling to enhance the overall experience. As a result, we are giving a lower score for customer satisfaction but a good score for the food. We hope the restaurant will address these issues and improve soon. Best of luck!

The Kottayam Kallappam was so good, soft and it just melts in the mouth. Kottayam Duck Roast was awesome and goes well with Kottayam Kallappam. From the desserts, I went for my always favourite, Shahi Tukde. Thank you guys for serving us with the best Indian food in London.

Egg curry, Kerela parotta were great. The Pani Puri and dahi bhalla wasn't North Indian style if that's what you are after. The presentation was nice though. Staff were jammed that night due to deliveries and a full restaurant, we were in there for 3.5 hours.

ABSOLUTELY AWFUL! Returned after learning that the restaurant had reopened (as I had a positive experience before). Came here for Valentine's Day since my husband was craving Kerala cuisine - a massive mistake! Ordered seafood and non-vegetarian sadhya, unfortunately, everything from the banana leaf to the side dishes was tiny (side dishes were served equivalent to a tsp and not even 1 tablespoon). Papadam was only just 2 pieces, not even a one whole papadam. When we requested sambar, they made us wait for a long time and eventually, with great reluctance, they provided us with a small saucer of sambar.. On asking for a refill for a side dish, they informed us that we would need to pay extra for more, as it was limited. The overall number of dishes were also quite limited, and the flavor was average. Typically, after a sadhya, you feel so contented, but this was the first experience where we left feeling hungry and resented. If they had provided a reasonable portion of side dishes at the first instance, we wouldn't have minded paying for refills, and on top of that, the terrible attitude of the staff made us want to just leave this place. Moreover, right in front of our table was a bin and various items piled up - a complete eyesore! The staff made us feel as though we're having their food without paying - disgusted how our own people treat us! Never returning back again and very thanks for ruining our V-day!
