Although it is a 35 min drive, this was SO worth it. There are no decent Chinese restaurants near us anymore, so we wanted to try it. Everything we had was delicious, we didn’t leave a single thing ! (Chicken and sweetcorn soup, spring rolls, crispy duck with pancakes, chow mien and beef in black bean sauce). Our first visit and we were made so welcome.

We had a take away from TinTin last night and it was incredible!! This area has a few great Chinese restaurants and take always, so we hadn’t eaten at TinTin for ages. All of the dishes were fresh, hot, generous and delicious. The spare ribs were falling off the bone, succulent and beautifully seasoned. We got sweet and sour chicken balls for our 7 year old - big puffy clouds of heavenly batter, with giant juicy chunks of chicken in the middle. We also had Szechuan chicken, noodles and Peking beef fillet. Everything was amazing. We will 1000% be ordering from here again and almost certainly going along to eat in too!

Having been closed for most of the year due to Covid 19 I'm delighted to say Tin Tin is back! So we ordered a takeaway this evening and it was superb-definitely up to their previous high standards. Lyn was really friendly on the phone as always and then Ken brought the order within 45 minutes, excellent! There is something about Tin Tin's food that other Chinese restaurants can't quite match- the sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style, for instance, is to die for, so much nicer than anywhere else I've tried. I can't recommend this restaurant highly enough, if you haven't tried it give it a go-you won't be disappointed. Welcome back Tin Tin!

Exceptionally overpriced, disappointingly underwhelming.I ordered a delivery from here for the first time as both my usual Chinese take outs were closed. (I eat a lot of chinese !) I paid almost £30 for some noodles, rice, squid and prawn crackers, they also charge a delivery fee, unlike the ones I normally use. The squid came in some congealed batter which there was more of than actual squid, there was nothing ‘special’ about the special fried rice, that too was what can only be described as gloopy and the pork, when I found it was fatty. The prawn crackers were soft, as though they had been sat around for a few days. The only positive was the Singapore noodles were spicy. I will not be using this establishment again.

My son and girlfriend visited over Easter and we decided on a takeaway. This was probably, correction definitely , the worst Chinese meal I have ever tasted (and I have had a few in my time). The spare ribs were salty, the squid was rubbery and coated in an inedible batter and the other dishes were bland at best. A good half of the meal finished in the food waste recycling bin. Also expensive for what was offered.

We were regulars at Tin Tins , and used it regularly as a takeaway and a sit in experience, but were put off by the outrageous price rises early last year - we are not talking a couple of pence either - But, it was New Year’s Eve, we left a bit late so we decided to give it another try. Food decent as usual, it’s sad to see the little touches such as the free tiny bowl of prawn crackers on arrival are no longer a part of the service - didn’t really feel valued at all. Really expensive meal for an average chinese - meals bulked up with too many onions - No real ambience or atmosphere. Sorry Lin and the Tin Tin team - too expensive now - even for Hampton Hill - others reviews echo our thoughts

Always used to get regular take away or dine in. Food was not amazing but better than average. However over the last 2 years prices have become ridiculously expensive for what after all is an average Chinese restaurant. For some reason this restaurant though having been in existence with the present owners for 20 years or more has eluded me. A return from a long drive and holiday necessitated a dine out and Chinese was chosen as a diversion from the Mediterranean foods recently experienced. The ambiance is friendly, inviting and hospitable. The menu diverse and includes some Thai dishes. We ordered and were delighted with our Fare. Portions are a good size and reflect the prices being charged. Sauces not too sweet and enough to compliment without being over bearing. Meats were succulent and tender. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and will be returning with friends hopefully very soon.

I’m conscious that eating Chinese is often a quiet affair with a takeaway at home. However, Tin Tins works really well for a big group. About 20 of us challenged their cuisine at once with a combination of veggies, vegans and ‘normal’ eaters and they coped admirably! Everyone shared a flavourful selection of dishes, all served promptly and with a smile. A great way to spend an evening out with friends.

We thought we would treat ourselves after watching our local Football team play and wandered down the High Street to this restaurant as the Chinese we usually use, (Chow Chows, see other review) is currently closed as the owner is on her holiday. We have not been to this restaurant for many years and remembered it as being slightly tired. This has all changed and the decorations are superb with traditional Chinese murals and hanging lanterns adorning this restaurant. Best of all was the cherry blossom tree and the rose bush growing up the wall. These must be plastic but looked fantastic and added to a lovely atmosphere. The staff were super friendly and spoke to each other in Chinese which again added to the atmosphere and as we arrived fairly early at 6.45 and the restaurant was fairly busy, customers obviously enjoy this.People on here have commented on the prices as being slightly expensive. We did not find them to be exorbitant. Our bill came to just shy of £70 but we did push the boat out slightly and have 2 bottles of wine so to be expected, and this also had the service charge added into it.Now for the part where we docked 1 point and that was for the food. We have been spoiled here as we use another local restaurant where the food is freshly cooked with no added MSG, (Chow Chows) and this establishment just cannot compare in the food department but more than makes up for it with the ambiance and friendly staff. So in conclusion I would say that if you are a real foodie use Chow Chows which is a minimalistic experience decor wise, but if you are after atmosphere and possibly a group booking use Tin Tin. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening and would recommend.

I can only submit this review based on the takeaway aspect - which they do, by the way! - as I haven't had a sit down meal yet, but it will happen eventually! I have ordered both over the phone and in person, both of which are easy enough. I live close by, but often feel the need to walk down and collect my order to justify the yummy Chinese treats that my stomach will soon endure! The restaurant has a homely feel (Tin Tin is a family run business which might have something to do with this), with beautiful elegant décor and deep colours which make you wish you were eating at the restaurant! The takeaway food arrives in plastic microwaveable plastic boxes, which stack easily making them easy to transport in bags, plus the portions are on the generous side so very good value for money. If eating alone I would only get a meat, rice and a veg dish, but this is definitely enough for two or even three people! So I'm sure you can imagine if you were ordering for more people, there would be plenty of food to go around.Never had a problem with my orders or the food itself. I highly recommend the deep fried chilli shredded beef as it's just divine; mouth-wateringly succulent and tasty!

I've been coming to this place a few times a year for the last 5/6 years. I have to say that it has the best veggie selection of all the Chinese restaurants I've ever been to. Not just a selection of vegetable dishes, but also meat substitute meals. My favourite is the veggie shredded duck, which comes with chillies so has a kick to it. Their fried rice isn't greasy - a big plus compared to most other places. Food portions are good, but this is reflected in the slightly higher than normal price. I have no problem paying a little more for a good meal though! The people there are lovely and really friendly and never fail to smile and greet me when I come in. The restaurant is usually very busy, at east every time I've been there, which is a good sign to me!What I like best: the great veggie choice and non greasy food. What I like least: nothing! I don't know about most people's palates but I find thick, gloopy sauces a real turn off in Chinese restaurants. Whatever this eatery is using for thickening did not taste pleasant. Maybe I'm being paranoid having heard, over the years, all about oriental restaurants using mono sodium glutamate (MSG). However, the food I ordered seemed to be full of it: the hot and sour soup, the chicken dish, even the chop suey. The only dish that had none of that flavour was the spare ribs, which I have to say were tasty and was the only dish I finished.I love Chinese food, but I did not enjoy eating here. I will give this a miss in future.

I have been ordering (from) and eating in this restaurant for 10 years since moving to the area. The staff were familiar with me and we used to have a laugh and a joke on the phone when placing a take away order. Then it all changed...TWICE they mistakenly issued chicken dishes rather than the 'veggie' equivalents ordered. On the first occasion, when contacted after the delivery was made, they (begrudgingly) agreed to a discount on the next order. When we followed this up, some 2 months later, they argued that we had already had our 'free meal'! The next time it happened (although couldnt believe it occurred again!), they said they would come round with the correct order but wanted to take the original chicken dish back with them ...not a problem as neither of us would eat it anyway (non meat eaters, hence the appeal with the chinese veggie menu), but just seemed a complete lack of trust! We will never eat there again as they clearly dont value loyal customers, which is a shame.

The restaurant was surprisingly empty but the 'take away' trade volume confirmed the quality of the food. Being empty for a large part of the evening it was very relaxing and as two couples it allowed us to catch up on things. Something was missing though. Probably due to few diners there was not the normal oriental charm in the service and I believe very rare to let oneself out of the restaurant, through the two doors onto the pavement, Maybe the lull before the Christmas party storm.

Have eaten here several times including 3 chinese new years. Always very good though our table for 2 was somewhat cramped when we visited on Saturday. Foodstuffs excellent as usual especially the obligatory crispy duck. One small criticism might be that they do not take the meat off the bone at the table which a lot of chinese restaurants do and is oddly entertaining to watch. Tsing Tao nice and cold and Ernesta's glass of house white was easily drinkable. Sizzling prawns with garlic and ginger excellent as was the chilli beef. Service very good and ditto value for money. Probably the best chinese in the area though haven't tried many others !

From the outside Tin Tin looks very ordinary but inside it has a delightfully welcoming atmosphere. We were not hurried into placing an order. We were able to relax and chat. The menu looked slightly over ambitious but after we ordered the food arrived quickly and look really appetising. From the various mixed vegetables, duck and spring rolls the portions were certainly enough to satisfy us all. The duck was particularly crunchy crisp and juicy. The only reason for 4* rather than 5* is the proximity of other tables meant we felt we had to talk more quietly than usual to be private. However a highly recommended restaurant as in addition to the enjoyable food it represented very good value for money.

Been past this restaurant many times and never ventured in. Finally visited on the recommendation of a friend ( the best, freshest and friendliest in Hampton were his words) From the outside ? It's not got the greatest kerb appeal BUT inside it's a different story - typically Chinese setting, immaculate table settings with great linens and VERY clean toilet facilities. Ok .... The food... I'm a vegetarian and find it hard to find a break from the norm ... Not at Tin Tin ... Extensive menu for veggies and " healthy eaters " great range of starters and mains. Very impressed .... Veggie sweet and sour soup was delicious as was the Hung Sio tofu. My partner had noodles with beef. The egg fried rice was the best I have EVER tasted.... And I have travelled extensively in the Far East. The food was piping hot , well presented and obviously freshly cooked - a change from some establishments that part cook/ pre cook. Lin, the waitress, was lovely ... Spent time to explain the dishes, the variations and seemed genuinely interested and happy to be there and nothing was too much trouble. Whilst we were eating , another party entered - obviously regulars and were greeted very warmly by the staff, it felt nice. It was genuine, warm and sincere. Really enjoyed the experience at TT, the food was lovely, the menu extensive , the drinks very competitively priced, the atmosphere very relaxed and the staff ( especially Lin ) were attentive without being obtrusive. Visit Tin Tin, you won't be disappointed. Thanks TT for a great meal.

The person on the phone kept saying that it was impossible they made a mistake and challenged us to take the food back to the restaurant to show them. We refused to go and they agreed to send someone round to check. When the person arrived, he had to agree the order was not the right one, but instead of apologising he was very rude saying we could have kept it anyway and instead he had to go back another time to get the right dish. When he came back, he just handed over very roughly the container with the

Friendly people. good service, fantastic food. Not the cheapest in town but well worth it. Parking a bit of a nightmare but can normally get parked in the road somewhere along the high street

We visited here for the first time on Friday night and we will return as the food was very fresh tasting. We had a quarter duck followed by chicken and cashew nuts, prawns in ginger and spring onions and special fried rice. Nothing out of the ordinary with regard to our choices but I have to say that the chicken and cashew nuts were lovely because the sauce wasn't that really sugary dark caramelised colour. It was a lot lighter and made it far nicer (much less salty) to eat. Ginger and spring onions and special fried rice was nice -the prawns were of a normal size not the teeny dry shrimp size you so often get in rice. The service was very warm and friendly and we won't hesitate in coming back or ordering take away from here. A great find!

We regularly order from Tin Tin's as a takeaway but the food is even more amazing at the restaurant , not being troubled by a journey . We came for a late family lunch and with 2 small kids , buzzing from sweets at a previous event. The manager/owner couldn't have been more friendly and patient. We asked for the a la carte menu (though they had lunch specials) , and again this was no problem. The food was quick, hot and as good as ever. The salt and pepper prawns are a favourite but we have never had a bad dish from this restaurant. Truly great Asian food.

Food is average, restaurant manager is over friendly. We want to have a peaceful family meal, instead trying to have a convention with restaurant manager whenever a new dish arrived.

In addition to the normal range of Chinese dishes, Tin Tin are outstanding in offering the most huge and unusual range of vegetarian dishes, many with meat substitutes which, according to their website, are made from soya beans and seaweed. This may not sound appetising, but actually the 'veggie meats' are all delicious and full of texture. I haven't even tried all the options yet and we've been having takeaways from here for over ten years now.My meat-eating husband is always extremely happy with his dishes. The welcome on the telephone is always personal and friendly, and deliveries come fast.Veggies, have a look at the menu on Tin Tin's website - you will not be disappointed, only overwhelmed with the choice!Highly recommended.

Celebrated my daughter's engagement at Tin Tin last Sunday & last night we were back again for Valentine's Day. Superb piping hot food, great service & friendly staff. It's also one of the few restaurants which still uses plate warmers - makes all the difference when you like to take your time. Can't recommend highly enough!

We have been using Tin Tin for takeaways regularly for years and have visited the restaurant for the occasional family gathering which is always fun. The owner is cheerful and efficient at front of house (and on the phone for takeaways) - she takes a real interest in her customers. The quality of food is high; I would particularly recommend the satay, dumplings, sizzling sea food platter and char sui.

When there are so many Chinese restaurants around, finding one that really excels is a joy. The food was hot, beautifully presented and tasted terrific. The service was efficient, friendly and accommodating, happily substituting a dish in a set menu. The waitress even managed not to look bored when one of our party told her what she must have been told a thousand times about the name of the restaurant being that of a Belgian cartoon character. She explained patiently that In Cantonese, the name means 'every day'. This is a well-run, confident establishment where the answer to the question 'did you enjoy your meal?' will never be answered with anything other than an enthusiastic 'Yes!'

I decided to have part of my 60th birthday at Tin Tin & there were 40 of us altogether. I had pre-booked & when we arrived the restaurant had rearranged the tables specifically to accommodate us. They were very friendly & welcoming, the food & service were superb & they were great helping with the huge birthday cake & all the presents! My wife & I are regulars at Tin Tin & they never fail to come up to the mark. The food is of the highest quality & always piping hot.

Absolutely beautiful Cantonese food in a charming neighborhood restaurant that was buzzing and full on a Friday evening. Generous portions, hot food and smiley service. Can’t ask for more! (Tricky parking, though)
