Ordered a home delivery. Telephone order prompt and polite, arrived on time. Food absolutely awful, wet mushed rice and gloopy meat. I was unable to eat it, absolutely terrible.

This has to be the best Chinese restaurant in Telford. The food is utterly fantastic ,cannot not fault them in any way . Just delicious food and i would recommend to anyone.

The food from Tin House always tastes so freshly cooked with a generous amount of meat / prawns and nicely cooked vegetables. We have not been disappointed with anything we have ordered from Tin House. We are old school and usually phone and collect - which is friendly and efficient - so cannot comment on delivery service. Recommended.

Our favourite chinese restaurant ever! The food is always outstanding and is delivered piping hot and we live 5 miles away. It's always delivered within the timeframe given and the customer service has always been spot on. The spicy noodles are amazing and I'd highly recommended as well as the beef curry, chicken balls and salt and pepper chips.

This an excellent Chinese takeaway. The food is always amazing. The food is of high quality and piping hot. It's very reasonably priced and there is an extensive menu. They deliver to your door and they are always on time. I cannot fault them . We have been using Tin House for years and have never been disappointed. Hats off to them. I would highly recommend Tin House to anyone .

Wow! Try the King prawn satay skewers, they are perfectly cooked, huge prawns, spicy satay sauce and absolutely delicious. My go to Chinese now. You won't be disappointed.

After having placed a telephone order at 8pm for delivery at 9:45 which totaled £80 it was a no show!! No phone call and no one picking up the phone there end will no be using this place again. Stay away!!!!!

Wow! First time ordering. Despite travelling 20 mins to Tin House and 20 mins back home, the food was still hot! No other words but amazing, tasty, fresh and cooked to perfection. Picture below of crispy chilli beef, king prawns and chicken wings in chilli n salt. I had eaten some of it so portions were bigger. Highly recommended and a great website to order from too. This is the best I’ve ever found anywhere I’ve lived. Wasted lots of orders looking for a good Chinese around Telford - thankfully we found it eventually! Truly never had a bad product. Highly recommended.

I have just started eating here again after returning from moving away 7yrs ago and the food is just as good now as it used to be. It’s become my weekly treat. The food is always to a high standard and very enjoyable.

Order timer said 95 mins. 2 hours after ordering, rang up and apparently our order didn’t print off at their end or something... It’s actually the second time in 3 months something like this has happened. We were offered a voucher towards future orders (Not at first, after a couple of phone calls), but I just don’t think I will bother using it.

Have had many take aways from the Tin House in Wellington and never had a bad one. Food is always delicious with generous portions and the online ordering is great. The menu offers everything you would expect from a chinese take away, definitely plenty to chose from. We enjoyed the special fried rice, think this is always a good indicator of a restaurant if they can't get their special fried rice sorted then they probably won't get the other dishes right. The Tin House never disappoints, always good food, we will be back.

My friends visit this takeaway almost every Friday. I've had food from here before and the quality has gradually declined over the last few months. We went in, ordered (had an unwelcome chip in from the fella stood behind the counter, no idea what his role was). We ordered beef curry, mushroom rice (yes, fella, we know it's noylt included...), beef chow mein, plain chow mein, Hong Kong sweet and sour chicken, hot and sour soup and 2 pancake rolls. 32 quid later and can honestly say what a total waste of money. Soup was one dimensional - sour. Both chow meins were rubbery, dry and never seen a wok with oil in it. Curry was "meh" and most of the beef went into the cat and dog. The only thing with any taste were the pancake rolls. 32 quid is an expensive pair of rolls! Shame the owner gave to his son who promptly sold it to the present owners. How to ruin a fine restaurant in two easy steps. Won't be giving them anymore of my hard earned. Yuk

High quality cant fault. So so much nicer than a just eat with same prices. Highly recommend. Plus only place where the crispy beef is crispy!!

We regularly have takeaways from Tin House, they are always delivered hot, the food is always good, we’ve never had a bad meal. The only thing I would say is at peak times you may have to wait an hour or so for delivery so give plenty of time...

Ordered on line twice now at this takeaway and both times it was ready to pick up no problems. Food really nice. Will be our regular from now on. Curry sauce like the old school curry sauce years ago, nice.

At last. A Chinese takeaway like it always used to be. Great food, served hot. And delivery was estimated to be around 60 minutes, but we were pleasantly surprised when it arrived in around 45 minutes. Well done Tin House, somewhere we can rely on to provide our favourite food, hot, great quality, and in quick time

This restaurant is only small but the food is fantastic. There's also a busy takeaway next door. We had the mixed starter of prawn toast, seaweed, prawn wontons, chicken satay, ribs, chop suey roll. I had lemon chicken which is two chicken breasts in a crispy batter in a lovely lemon sauce and fried rice. My partner had char sui pork with ginger and chillies. We got complimentary choc ices. We'll definitely be coming back when next in the area

The Tin House is good for the food but if you want a Chinese when your actually hungry DO NOT order a delivery from this takeaway. The website says a shorter time period for the food to be delivered and then changes to a longer period, I have just spent £35.00 on a takeaway that is now not here 1 hour and 45 minutes later. I have passed the point of being hungry..... What takeaway takes 1 hour and 45 minutes to get delivered??? We have ordered in the past and one time it took over 3 hours to be delivered. Ive rang the Chinese twice and they have just said they have been busy - no apology for the lateness. Wont be ordering again.

Recently here for a meal and was well impressed, good size portions and very tasty, recommended so if you are in the area certainly worth a visit.

Tin House is now our go-to Chinese takeaway. The food is always hot, lovely, what we ordered, and with plenty of meat - the last Chinese we used to go to used to be 80% sauce! The delivery often takes around an hour on the weekend so we place an online order around an hour before we want the food so it’s not a problem! The shredded duck starter is pricey but also really lovely, the rest of the dishes are average price for a Chinese. The delivery guys are always friendly too!

Where do i begin? We regularly have a takeaway from tin house & it is consistently outstanding. The chicken curry is mouthwatering. We usually collect because the place is so popular you could wait over an hour for delivery. We have never eaten in but if the takeaway is anything to go by i'm sure it is excellent.

Have used this restaurant and take away many times and have never had a bad meal. The owner and his family and all friendly and helpful. The take away gets very busy so expect delays and I have heard orders coming in for delivery to addresses quite long distances away from Wellington. Prices are very competitive to what I have paid elsewhere.

Ordered takeaway for delivery not before 6.30, it came at 6.15 and was already worse for travel, Tin House in the restaurant never fails but the takeaway is getting worse!. Specifically asked for no vegetables other than onions and mushrooms, duck dish was full of...

Mi primera visita a este restaurante ya que estábamos visitando el área. Tuvimos un arranque mezclados que consta de dos de cada uno. Pollo satay, crujientes, costillas, niño pequeño los rollitos de primavera, 4 tostadas de gambas y crujiente de algas. Tenía pollo y limón. El bateador era ligero y crujiente. Y había un montón de pollo ternera. Mi pareja y otra vez el bateador crujientes era perfecto. Teníamos arroz frito y patatas fritas como acompañamientos. Las raciones eran un tamaño generoso. Si vivimos cerca de aquí sin duda alguna de nuevo. Por desgracia, vivimos más de 300 millas de distancia. No así para llevar. Si estás buscando tener una buena comida y luego probar aquí. No te decepcionará.

Muy decepcionados decidimos tomar una relajante comida en con la familia, nos llevó 1 hora y 30 minutos para llegar cuando llegue tuvimos uno de nuestros principales campos de desaparecidos.

Este, de lejos, el mejor restaurante Chino en Telford y de hecho que he tenido comida. Aún no hemos comido en el restaurante, pero he tenido muchos llevar aunque sé que las personas que han comido y han dicho que es fantástico.

La comida es absolutamente excepcional. Lo recomiendo altamente. Tienes un montón de comida de alta calidad para los bajos precios que se paga. Sin duda volveremos. Gracias de nuevo! !

We ordered 5 dishes and it came to less than £25! They were very generous portions, and we received free prawn crackers as well. My recommendation would be to order early, as the wait time at 6:30pm on a Saturday night was an hour. Enjoy!

We ordered from here as the reviews were good, we had visitors and fancied a home delivery. We spent just over 40 quid. On opening the meal prior to tasting I could tell there was something not right......The egg fried rice was a colourless, the spring rolls were smaller than my little finger and had hardly any filling. The ribs were bright red ( now my son loved ribs, but he hated these). Anyway I rang back to complain and the chap I spoke to was very understandable and said he would return the driver and refund me half the money. I thought ok. So as we were hungry we started to eat a bit more. However after a few bites we realised this just wasn't edible, the flavours were terrible....the worst chow mien I've eaten, the crispy beef was certainly crispy but lacked the beef. I called back when the driver arrived and told the guy I wanted a full refund....of course he got snooty and refused. No word of a lie we packed it all up up and put it back in the bag and order an Indian instead. Anyone suggesting this is good hasn't really been to a decent Chinese or I was given a bad hand..either way certainly won't go back as ended up paying 20 odd quid for a bag of grease that we didn't eat. I'm sure the owner will argue and that's when I'll post the pictures. Terrible!!!!

The food is hot, and prepared fresh, best prawn crackers ever! Always enjoy my meal, and if you can wait for delivery (they can take a while due to demand) then it's totally worth it, or just collect it.

Best takeaway in telford. No matter what you pick on the menu the manement are always accomadate everyone's taste and liking. 10 out 10 for quality and freshness! I highly recomend you try the fresh king prawns in salt and pepper/curry/black bean sauce ect.. So fresh and big. You will not be dissapointed. Always order early to avoid long time delay in delivery. But I would collect as the staff are excellent and welcoming.

We have used the Tin House twice before, tonight being the 3rd. The food is excellent and we've never had a bad dish. Salt and pepper prawns highly recommended. However, the reason for the low score is their delivery service. This is the second time we have had to wait over 2 hours for our order (still waiting). Last time I even had to re-heat the food as it was tepid. Unfortunately we will now not be using them for a delivery service again. A shame for a place that provides such great food.

We ordered a takeaway from here last Saturday, we ordered beef curry twice, Singapore Chow Mein and chips onw egg fried rice and on boiled rice and a banana fritter, we were told delivery would be about an hour it was less than that, the food apart from the chips was hot on arrival, we had to microwave the chips a little, the curry's were very nice but could have had more sauce a minor thing as we could order extra next time, the Singapore Chow Mein was excellent, the curry's were good to, the rice's were a little stodgy but still ok, the banana fritter was good, in all not a bad meal at all just little things really, would recommend you try yourselves

Five of us ate at the Tin House without an advance booking. The prices seemed slightly higher than usual but the portions were much bigger than average so we probably ordered a little too much. All of the food was freshly cooked and there was no sign of bought in dishes. For example, the salt and pepper squid was freshly prepared squid and not the bought in, frozen stuff that has little taste. Service was very fast and the proprietor was constantly topping up water glasses. The food really was excellent and was thoroughly enjoyed by all our party. Complimentary choc ices followed and then complimentary brandies! The Tin House does not look much from the outside but really is worth a visit. It is small so booking is probably a good idea. If we have to return to Telford, this is one place we would not want to miss!

The Tin House is the best Chinese you will ever visit the food is stunning. Mr Lee will ensure he and his staff look after you and nothing is too much trouble. Watch out for the after meal bandy which Me Lee insists you try. Only small so best to book you will not be disappointed.

Great little place this - tiny restaurant that is clean and cosy. The food is really great and the service quick and efficient. You always get an ice cream too before you leave regardless of whether you are having a pudding or not. There is a takeaway attached but why not eat in? I note many Asians eating here from time to time which must mean it is good! Nice place to nip out to for a quick Chinese meal. We go again and again. It always seems to be open too! Reasonably priced as well. Oh, and I like the large pictures of Hong Kong on the walls that remind me of time out there!

If it's a Chinese takeaway we're after it's always Tin House for us. We receive leaflets through the door, see other recommendations online for other Chinese restaurants and takeaways but if you're 100% happy every time (and I mean every time - we're regular customers) then it would be silly to try somewhere else.The menu is so varied that there's always plenty of choice and you know whatever you choose will be cooked to perfection.I often go for something spicy - Szechuan or Kung Po chicken and it's always very tasty, succulent chicken, crunchy fresh vegetables (often neglected elsewhere) and a delicious sauce with just the right amount of heat. This time my partner opted for chow mein (delicious, earthy flavour) and my son had udon noodles. I have to say the udon noodles, traditionally thicker than regular noodles were melt-in-the mouth gorgeous. That can't be easy considering the size.The egg-fried rice, despite the journey from restaurant to home was still light and fluffy. All of the dishes were nice and hot - well done delivery driver.Another fantastic takeaway, delicious as always and great value for money.

We decided to order a takeaway from tin house because of the feedback on trip advisor and the fact it has a certificate of excellence which nobody else has . We placed our order via telephone for delivery and were told it would be about 45 minutes which is fine . The order arrived accordingly on time as stated and we all enjoyed the food , indeed the chicken curry was fantastic as was my wifes beef curry , the pancake roll was the largest one I have ever seen and everyone enjoyed the meal . The prices are very reasonable and the food is excellent , well done tin house .

We had a lovely intimate table for 4 in the cosey Tin House. The food was really tasty good portions. They made such a fuss of our daughter, bringing indoor flames to the table & complementary brandy with free fill ups all round. What more hospitality can you ask for for a birthday girl.

I have been here on many an occasion. The food is freshly cooked excellent value for money and extremely tasty. Living on my own I sometimes get a meal from here eat part of it one day and eat the rest of it the following day. Very generous portions. Recommend highly

Only started using Tin House. It's nice to have peace of mind knowing that a place has a good hygeine rating. We had a home delivery tonight: sweet and sour king prawn, chicken curry, egg fried rice, chicken chow mein, vegetable chow mein and chips. ALL the food was lovely and plentiful, delivered promptly and reasonably priced. There are plenty of Chinese take aways closer to us but I'll always use Tin House from now on. The fact that it's also a restaurant is a good sign and the hygeine rating, have researched ones closer but they fall short when it comes to this. Thoroughly recommend.

I was told by friends to try this wonderful Chinese takeaway in Wellington so after me and my wife was doing some early Christmas shopping we decided to try this for tea the restaurant one side looks very appealing and will be back for a sit down meal but after a lot of shopping decided to get a takeaway to sit at home we had a very warm welcome from the gentleman serving and in no time at all and some friendly banter about his poor choice of football team he supports ha ha our food arrived pipping hot and a goodbye and hope to see you again soon we went home,the food was absolutely Devine and almost certainly restaurant quality and could have had more we will be back

Another visit to the Tin House for a family birthday celebration. A small restaurant with only 20-25 covers. A large proportion of business is it's take-away food which is very busy, a reflection on the quality of the meals. We started with the mixed starter platter which arrived piping hot and each item delicious. This was followed by a selection of main dishes, each hot, full of flavour and in generous portions. The food is the closest in flavour to genuine Cantonese cuisine that I have tasted in a long time. There was a good selection of drinks, although I think the white wine spritzer had only a little dash of soda - not that we complained! Mr Lee was very attentive and at the end of the meal produced a mini firework display for our birthday girl! You would be wise to book a table for the best Chinese food in the area, not cheap fast food but the quality is worth the little extra. Thank you Mr Lee - VERY ho ho.

We only discovered this place after living in Wellington for a decade. I'm not really much into chinese food but the food at tin house is great. The menu says restaurant quality food because we are a restaurant. I've never been to a Chinese restaurant so I wouldn't know but I enjoy the food here. Great varied menu and each dish so far has been nice. I'm looking forward to going again soon. Meat seems good quality and they are always busy and friendly.

Avoid at all costs. Had sweet and sour shoe leather that imitated chicken with a side dish of crispy granite that pretended to be duckSingularly the worst meal ever. It was inedible. Even the dog wouldn't eat it. Many better and cheaper take always in the area.

Had a great meal last night, my girlfriend who has not had many Chinese meals thought the food was fantastic. I have had Chinese from being 16 and this was one of the best meals I have had. The owner was fantastic. After our meal the owner gave us a brandy each. I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

We went there on the 6th July and was greeted by the most friendliest of hosts Mr Lee , this place only seats 20-25 people ,we ordered a portion of mini spring rolls which came within 10 minutes then we ordered a beef and mushroom curry, house special with black Bean sauce and a chicken chop suey with rice and chips they all came together and all the meals were hot and tasty !! What a lovely little place hats off to Mr Lee such a nice fella - go back ? Most definitely! !

On entrance we were greeted and welcomed Into the restaurant and made to feel at home. I am not one for busy places but this was just right. A nice cosy family run restaurant with friendly staff and a warm and happy environment with the other customers inside. Menu had plenty of choice and a good selection of wines accompany your meal at a good price also. Food was excellent and fast, cooked to your liking all fresh and flavorsome. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Tin House and will be back very soon.

Chinese new year celebration is something to witness the food, a set meal is fantastic.My daughter in law is Chinese & even she says it is good quality traditional Chinese food.Take away food is no different from in the restaurant all quality & plentyfull.

Can only echo what the majority of reviews say, great food and great service.Can only review the take away food, it is always delivered on time, is hot and tasty and always big portions.Always get free prawn crackers and the added bonus of the containers being recycleable if required.For the money?.....some have said its expensive but I actually find them cheap for the quality of food - no complaints from me!

I have tried many different Chinese takeaways over the years but The Tin House, Wellington is by far the best. The service is quick, the food is really tasty and they always deliver within the time frame they say; even on busy nights. I always recommend this Chinese to family and friends

Mr Lee is a legend!! He always makes us feel welcome looks after us and plies us with too much alcohol!! We love going to tin house as the food is always superb and in my opinion it's the best Chinese food around. If you don't want the restaurant there's always the takeaway but this always gets really busy so order early!! Thank you to all the staff for giving us so many memorable evenings

First time we ordered food was great, fresh and tasty, 2nd time we ordered and very disappointed, food was barely warm when delivered, tasted like left over from the day before, not fresh. My wife had a bad stomach within 2 hrs. of eating. Won't be using them again.

There was only two of us having a business meal. The meal was a set menu for 2 and only 4.drinks were had. £60 !!!! And it wasn't the best food either. There was no atmosphere as it was just us two blokes in there for the majority of the time. I used to eat there, either in the restaurant or as a takeaway on a regular basis and it was very good. Mr House used to look after you by being a tentative, chating and being smartly dressed. I think he has lost his spark! And as for the toilets!! Not very clean at all. I hope they look at there pricing because there are a lot of restaurants in the area who are certainly cheaper with better food and ambiance. I would be surprised if the place has been redecorated since it opened and that has to be over 10 years.

After a disappointing celebration meal at The King and Thai we decided to celebrate it properly at The Tin House. This was the best celebration meal ever. We had asked Mr Lee to get us a lobster. It was massive. Mrs Lee steamed it with ginger and scallions. It was sublime. The roast duck was tender and succulent. The rest of the meal perfectly complemented these dishes. Mr Lee is the perfect attentive 'front of house'. Our wine glasses, cups of Chinese tea (complementary) and finger bowls were kept replenished throughout the meal. As always, we were treated to complementary choc-ice and Brandy(VSOP, not your cheap stuff) after the meal. It was a wonderful experience and cost us less than the Thai restaurant as well. The large table of Japanese businessmen also seemed to be having a great time.

I ordered chicken in black bean sauce. What I received was a carton of undercooked veg in black bean sauce accompanied by a few small pieces of slimy, rubbery grey cooked stuff which I assume was meant to be the chicken. It tasted awful & I couldn't eat it.

Had a family meal from the Tin House last week - excellent choice of dishes, which arrived well cooked and very promptly. Three main courses and a shared spring roll starter came in at well under £20, and everyone remarked on the amount and quality. Will definitely be back for more.

I always use tin house for takeaway and recommend them to all my friends their food is spot on and I am very fussy about Chinese food being good. Their meet is always cooked so tender and taste beautiful.

Only recently discovered the Tin House. A small restaurant decorated in typical Cantonese style, even to the fish tank in the corner! Very comprehensive menu which made choice difficult. Chosen meals delivered quite quickly in very generous portions and each one delicious, the closest I have come to true Hong Kong flavours in a long time.Interesting chat with the owner who it transpired originated from the village where we used to moor our boat many years ago!We will certainly be regular visitors in the future.

Have been ordering for years from here ... Very proud to serve visiting family and friends with tin house food who were very impressed to.. Fantastic menu and and flavours ... My husband is a vegetarian and I eat meat on occasions and must say ... Vegetarians look no further .... Even the rice dishes are varied.. a personal favourite is the pineapple rice . Eating in to is a great experience . Love this place xxxxx

We visited The Tin House as a group of 18 and were all pleasantly surprised by the efficient service and the excellent standard of food. Our meals all arrived promptly so we all ate together which was a concern as we were such a big group. The waiter was very accommodating and friendly. Would definitely go again and recommend to others.

Food is A1. Just popped in for a takeaway on my way home. But decided to eat in. Portions are plentiful . Clean, beer not too bad. And an average price. You pay for what you get. True you pay more for the restaurant menu. But you get more on the plate than if you were ordering out. We went home stuffed & satisfied. I would most defiantly eat in this place again. All in all very good!

Really tasty food, good price for portion size. The place looks clean and tidy when you go in, helpful staff.
