This is the best place to eat in Portrush the most friendly staff I have ever met the food was better than any where in northern Ireland great with children thank you girls for the great food

Called in for a bit of lunch yesterday and wasn't disappointed. Super dog friendly. Our elderly dog Roxy was made a fuss of and given treats. My hubby said his fry was really nice and I loved my eggs benedict. Nice big pot of tea and helpful, friendly staff. Thank you.

We were staying in Portrush for the bank holiday weekend and went here based on online reviews. To be honest it was a bit disappointing. We ordered 2 milkshakes (it was 2 glasses of milk with crush milkshake mix) pancake stack (4 ormo pancakes with Nutella) lgr fry (decent), French toast (decent) coffee (tiny cup). Came to over £30. For that price I'd expect homemade food rather than shop bought and bigger portions. It's a nice cosy spot but the food was average so won't be back.

This small cafe is a great place for breakfast. Coffee drinks are very good, the porridge was very tasty and the baked goods were fresh! We went there two mornings, and enjoyed both days. The servers were helpful and friendly.

Hi my name is Enzo, and I'm a hungry cocker spaniel. Im just back from my first brunch at dog friendly Cafe Tillys in Portrush where I had a yummy puppichino and a doggy treat bowl with chicken, bacon and sausage. It was delightful and I'll definitely be back. PS the large fry and scrambled eggs on toast my humans had looked very tasty too.

Great brunch at this dog friendly cafe. We have been a few times and really like it. So does my dog Fizz. Lovely menu for the dogs too.

Another perfect breakfast with our dogs. Tilly’s is so friendly and welcoming and we all love visiting here. The dogs love their sausage and egg breakfast and I love the fry! Best fry up in the area. Perfectly cooked with all the right ingredients. Thank you for being amazing.

Excellent attitude from owner/staff Food and service faultless. Northern Ireland needs more of these pet friendly establishments.

We were here on a Saturday afternoon. It is real home cooking like something your mam would make - exactly what we wanted. The cafe is clean. Staff are polite. I would call again should I find myself in the area again

We love this cafe. Our dogs are always excited to go to Cafe Tilly for their turkey and vegetables. There’s a menu for dogs! We had the festive panini which was tasty and delicious. Price is reasonable and service is friendly. The pet shop next door is amazing too.

We will definitely be making a stop by again next year. The owner was all by herself because her staff member was sidelined with a flight back. She was the server, cook and dishwasher. The coffee and food were amazing! As was the efficient service!

Great dog friendly cafe. It’s upstairs so was a bit tricky as some of our party have mobility problems. They are moving to different premises soon. We went twice during our 5 day break.

Really excellent cafe to visit. Lots of gluten free vegetarian breakfast options, which can be very difficult to find. Dog-friendly and a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Excellent food and reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend!

Great staff, couldn’t do enough for you. Fantastic food, great atmosphere, cosy and warm !! And great grub for cheap !! Would recommend to anyone. Also, shirley a staff member is the nicest person I’ve came across. Thanks again, wil be back!!

We visited for brunch last week and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. The girl working was so friendly and accommodating. We ordered a selection of coffees and meals from a fry to gluten free pancakes, and it was absolutely delicious! Such a great find in Portrush and we'll definitely visit again and recommend to all our family and friends. Thanks again guys.

Just reopened under new management apparently. Dog friendly. Food was excellent and all homemade.Staff was friendly and all seemed to enjoy their work. Really good experience. Will definitely return.

Touring the North Coast and popped in for lunch. Nice, cosy place and the girl serving was excellent (especially with our 7 year old who wanted to stay and do the dishes!). Had paninis and a small fry up which was delicious. Coffee was excellent. Will need to try the cakes next time! Would highly recommend.

Really good visit here breakfast and afternoon coffees in one day, friendly staff and great food. Great to be able to have that and be able to bring the dogs there.

Stopped a few times during The Open for coffee and tea to carry out. Such a cute place and loved seeing the dogs. The lemon cake looked so good we bought the entire half loaf they had on the counter. Ate it at the golf course and it was absolutely delicious!

Dogs welcomed!! Treats at the ready! The food range is also good from simply coffee and scones to full menu. Great cafe well located in middle of Portrush.

Went to the NW 200 with 3 friends, stayed down the road at the Sea View Apartments, went looking for breakfast places, got recommended this by a young girl at the Arcadia.

A dog friendly cafe with good food! What more can you ask for. Been a few times now and we love it. If your best mate has furry feet they'll love the dog menu also.

We have been coming to this beautiful cafe since it opened, it’s a great place to come after a walk on the beach, the dogs love the special attention they receive and everything we order is always very tasty

We don’t have a pet ourselves but stopped in with the kids for a coffee and hot chocolate. Very friendly atmosphere, the kids got to meet lots of lovely doggies and we got to sit and enjoy a good coffee. Will definitely be back. I recommend it whether you have a pet or not!

My partner and I popped in here with our dogs on Sunday morning half way through our walk. The breakfast was fantastic, service both prompt and professional and being able to have our dogs in the cafe added to the enjoyment. It was so good that we walked another 6 miles and repeated things on the Monday. We will be back for more.

We had coffee, tea and cakes with the pup! So great to have somewhere to go with the dog, staff were great! Will be back!

Had breakfast here this morning, food was lovely and coffee was best I’ve had in Portrush. Great location and prices are reasonble, staff are lovely and chat away to customers. Highly recommend

Called in last Friday for breakfast, brought my dog along. Lovely friendly staff. Small menu, but in my opinion all you could want for breakfast was there. Food was delicious, very fresh! Great place to bring your doggy

Went here for lunch yesterday and what a treat!! It’s so nice to sit down and relax with nice food and a cuppa with the pooch! One thing I would say, there was a couple in who let their little terror run wild... I didn’t like that. If you’re a dog owner you must be responsible fir your own pooch so as not to annoy others. I’m glad the staff chased it from behind the counter where the food was being prepared.

We stumbled across this after a disappointing visit to 55 Degrees North (it was 2 degrees, the wind was howling, bone chilling and there was absolutely no chance I would sit outside in the freezing cold for an hour, never mind my beloved dog).

Always have a lovely time when i go here with my friend and both our dogs. The staff are always lovely and are obviously dog lovers as they greet them as well as us. Quirkly decorations and gorgeous tableware. Have had both lunch and traybakes here, both delicious.

Called in here yesterday for lunch. Had the Cheese and Red Onion Relish Toastie which came served with Side Salad and Coleslaw. As per usual the food was lovely and also met lots of lovely dog owners, what’s not to like. Also my little miniature Dachshund loved it as well. Great place to go to when in Portrush with your dog. Wish there were more places in Northern Ireland like this.

Clean and warm. Quick efficient service. Menu quite limited which I don’t mind but food freshly made. The best thing is being able to sit in a cafe with my dog! And look at other dogs! Owner very friendly and welcoming. Only drawback ( unless you can’t stand dogs) is the stairs might be a bit steep for someone with limited mobility. Highly recommended.

This is my 3rd time in Tilly’s. Ordered chicken and coleslaw sandwiches and tea. Food was very good as on previous visits. Best of all the place is pet friendly and it was nice to meet other dog owners and chat with them and also to meet a lovely very well behaved miniature Schnauzer and a Cockapoo. This is definitely my ‘go to’ place when in Portrush and my little Dachshund enjoys it too. Also great to be able to visit the Pet Store downstairs and buy something for your dog, they have a great choice.

Stopped off here while on a walk with our dog. Staff friendly and dogs well catered for...treats supplied and water bowls. Susie got to sit at the window and watch the world go by while we had our coffee. Highly recommend

As a dog lover I have 2 say I was a bit “ify” about a dog friendly coffee shop! I have a rough collie and wasn’t sure how a big dog would fit in. However this place is immaculate and everything is prepared freshly - have had breakfast and lunch here on many occasions and haven’t been let down yet - beautiful ❤️

Been here a few times and every time just seems to get better. Great place to rest up and above all is dog friendly. My faithful friend Duke, my Miniature Pinscher just loves it also. He got a treat from Zoe, so he's her friend for life. Tara and Zoe were great hosts. Zoe also makes a mean coffee. I would suggest you try the soup. Home made and vegetarian friendly which suited the missus Keep up the good work girls. Will defo be back. Will hopefully see you again in September.

What a wonderful coffee shop, nothing better than good coffee, a superb selection of cakes / cookies, very helpful staff & more than a few 4 legged friends !!!! Highly recommended.

Excellent dog friendly cafe. They make a wonderful cup of tea with beautiful scones. The service is superb. Will definitely be coming back.

This is my second visit to this cafe. Had chicken and coleslaw sandwiches with a side portion of coleslaw and crisps. The sandwiches were lovely and fresh, very tasty, with lovely homemade coleslaw and a nice cup of tea. Love this place as it’s dog friendly, makes a nice change to be able to take dog in with you after a walk and meet other dog owners and their lovely dogs. Staff are also friendly and dogs are offered treats and there are bowls of water for them. Lovely shop downstairs with everything possible that you could want for your furry friend.

The only negative are the stairs. Otherwise a cafe that openly welcomes pets is a superb addition to Portrush. Our dogs enjoyed as did we with a great range of cakes and pastries and snack food.

Wow!! This is a great coffee shop to bring your dog!! Its up some stairs, but if you're already out with your dog, the stairs are irrelevant. Water bowls outside on street will greet your canines and they can enjoy their special treats indoors.

Ignore the last review. This place made my dog feel very welcomed. The staff at tillys are fab. Couldn't fault this place. Their scones are beautiful. Can't wait to visit again 😁😁😁

I think this place is perfectly functional as a place to go if you have your dog with you. However, I probably wouldn't go out of my way to go otherwise. The tray bakes and coffee are nice & the service is okay. I think a bigger welcome could be made of your pet - I've been twice now and both times felt the same way. Neither time was busy.

Steep stairs up but well worth the effort. Selection of home made cakes and delicious coffee. Nice to see how many people bringing in their dogs. Each dog receives water and dog biscuits. Not so keen on seeing the dogs on chairs or tables but all very well behaved.

Nice food, lovely staff and it's dog friendly. Coudn't be better, looking forward to visiting again soon. Caramel Squares and scones with cream amazing!!!

What a delight a dog friendly cafe with homemade cakes and lovely light snacks. Had lunch here with the soup of the day, broccoli and pea served with wheaten bread. Absolutely delicious. These young entrepreneurs are making a real go of this place and should be applauded for their commitment to creating a welcoming environment and simple good food.

Great to find a dog friendly cafe. Roaring fire on a rainy day, perfect. Delicious carrot cake and hot chocolate for me. Dog biscuits for my faithful friend. £5.50 in total. Only negative comment, there was a bit of a funny smell as we came in.

We had lunch at Tilly's after a long beach walk with kids and dogs. The dogs were made to feel very welcome, and we had a lovely lunch - nice, freshly made sandwiches and traybakes. The cafe has a very pleasant atmosphere, and the staff are friendly and polite.

Was recommended this wee cafe by another restaurant in the area that wasn't yet open for food and are we glad they did?! We've found it quite strange (during our tour of N.Ireland) at the lack of pet friendly places to eat, so this was a welcome stop!

Toasted sandwiches are really tasty and good value for money. Great service and friendly staff. Dogs are welcome.

Was very pleasantly surprised with this wee place. Some dog friendly cafes can be a bit grim but this place is clean, warm and friendly. The coffee and food is excellent quality and it’s very nice and relaxing after taking the dog for a walk on the beach.

Really friendly staff, lovely coffee & cakes. The lunch menu looks good, so I intend going back soon to try. Dogs welcome and it is comfy and warm.

Such a great, friendly place where dogs are most definitely welcome. It's great to have somewhere warm and welcoming for a cuppa or some lunch when out and about with the dog. If only more places would follow your lead!

Visited this cafe just before Christmas. First heard about it on Dog Lovers NI Facebook page. Decided to give it a try as a little treat for both myself and my little dog, Roan. It was around lunchtime when I arrived. Had a table adjacent to the wood-burning stove. I ordered the carrot of cream soup (large bowl) which came along with 2 pieces of wheaten. The soup was totally delicious and the little doggie Roan also got a treat. Bowls of water are also available for the dogs. I then went for a long walk around Portrush with the little dog. Enjoyed the cafe so much that I called back in again late afternoon. Had tea with not 1 but 2 very delicious mince pies served with cream. Again had a table adjacent to the wood-burning stove which is very welcoming feature. Afterwards visited the gift shop which has everything you could possibly want for your dog. The staff are also very helpful and friendly. Will definitely be back with my little Dachshund Roan, he enjoyed it immensely too.

Our second visit was even better then the first. Breakfast was fresh and delicious especially the bagel with bacon and cream cheese and we followed that with a very large slice of excellent raspberry cake. And the dog enjoyed her visit too - plenty of treats to keep her happy

We were recommended to try by Anne Allen, this is truly the bext coffee shop/restaurant within the area. Love the atmosphere the food and the service. We were there on Saturday and then took my grandchildren on the sunday. Thank you to everyone. Trixi even got a new coat from the pet shop downstairs. Keep up the good work See you soon.

Tilly' s is well worth a visit. The coffee is excellent, the scones and cakes divine. Loved by our four legged friends, the beautiful decor and fabulous views of Causeway street makes Tilly's the ideal place for anyone with or without a dog to relax for a few hours.

Today I enjoyed a very tasty freshly made bowl of stew and and a cup of cappuccino . As always, great service and a very friendly atmosphere.

Tilly's was recommended to us as it's dog friendly and we went with our golden retriever. We were greeted warmly by the very friendly staff, enjoyed a lovely, fresh lunch followed by homemade cake. Our dog was also given a treat which he would recommend to other 4 legged friends.

Great place for coffee and scones, cakes or home cooked food. The coffee shop is upstairs and is clean, bright and airy. The staff are welcoming and friendly and dogs can share your break - even getting their own treat. Well worth the visit: we'll be back.

We love dogs and we love going out for coffee-there was no compromise here... the place was spotlessly clean, with a gorgeous menu and some fab scones and treats-good coffee too. They have a small gift section with all things dogs and cats themed-even candles to keep the house smelling nice. enjoyable visit.

Called in for a snack with our three dogs. It was 5pm and they normally close at 5:30 but it was no problem to stay on until we'd finished.

We all loved our first visit to Tilly's especially Farrah! Staff are really welcoming and friendly. Our food was tasty, fresh and well presented. The cafe is spotlessly clean and i will highly recommend this little gem to visitors and locals.

Second visit to Tilly's who have recently opened. Superb bacon sandwich on first visit and equally good full breakfast this time. Dog friendly cafe but should also be the cafe of choice for non dog lovers too.

had a really good toasted sandwich in here on holiday with my dog and really enjoyed it.i tried bbq chicken with cheese and red onion was really good.
