Tila in Lewisham

First visit to Tila and will definitely be heading back. Excellent food - beautifully cooked. The side Brussels Sprouts were so good we ordered more. I never expected to type that sentence, ever! We were a large party and the service was perfect - attentive without being too much and really efficient. People moved around the table between courses but all meals were delivered to the right person with no fuss. Altogether a great evening. Thanks Tila.

Our 4th visit ans as good as ever...the waitress remembered us and haven't been since spring. Always a good sign. Great dips - we had all 3 between us and very tasty crispy flatbread to start. Each of the main dishes ( I had the skate - fish of the day) was delicious. We ordered two fries and two veg sides - perfect. No room for puds. They do cocktails, wine by the glass and beer or coffee if you're just wanting a break. The sofas are sought after but there's a nice island counter if you just want a drink. Just by the main Deptford Church St/ Broadway traffic lights. 2 mins walk from Deptford Bridge dlr. Our fave place in Deptford, which now has quite a few other restaurants. Becoming a hot spot, as they say. Music - but not so loud you can't have a conversation. Highly recommend.

What a fantastic restaurant. We enjoyed every moment, the staff were friendly, the cocktails delicious and the chef was inspired. The starter chicken & blue cheese was our stand out dish as well as the pistachio tart (which we nearly didn’t order as we were all so full) Every morsel was devoured and washed down with very good on tap wine. I urge you to try this place.

We live just around the corner and this trip was incredibly overdue. EVERYTHING is great and we've been back several times since. The meat is cooked perfectly and the vegetable dishes complement meat dishes or are standalone in their own way. Would recommend to anyone in the area or to travel to.

Genuinely one of the best roasts I’ve ever had. They really know how to cook! The roast was incredible. Due to our party size I luckily had the opportunity to try the 3 meats, the chicken was stupendous. The starters and desserts were also amazing. We really had a lovely time here and I’m looking to return asap. Thank you so much for making my birthday meal special.

My son booked this as a birthday treat for me when I visited him - and what a treat it was. We all had the Sunday roast beef which was excellent, all aspects of it was very tasty indeed. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and even put a candle in my Eton mess Sundae dessert and sang Happy Birthday to me! The Sundae was delicious by the way and my son had the French toast which was also delicious! I wouldn’t hesitate to visit again when I am in the area.

Great food and excellent service in a very stylish restaurant. We chatted to the owner-a very nice guy genuinely interested in our dining experience.

Another wonderful meal at Tila - our 3rd visit. Great food (the chicken bites and lamb shawarma are stand out, as is the roasted aubergine (from prior visits). Great cocktails and decent wine (I love a restaurant that serves wine by the 500ml carafe). Good atmosphere, and great value. Served by the owner who was funny, friendly, welcoming and humble. He shouldn’t be - it’s a great local restaurant. It’s becoming our go to restaurant in SE8/3/10

What a surprise to find such a fantastic restaurant in this location in Deptford. The pork chop, Octopus and Bream were phenomenal. It was slightly pricey but service and drinks were great and everything we ate delicious. A shout out to the lovely Scottish waitress who served us. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

Amazing Sunday roast, beef cooked perfectly and the chicken to share was delicious. Great portion sizes. Can’t wait to go back for the brussels. Staff were very friendly and a great atmosphere in there. Looking forward to going back.

Chef is back! Made a second trip to Tila as the chef who dazzled us before has returned. Just as wonderful as the first time. That French Toast pudding is something else. Go Eat Enjoy

I went well to a friend on a Sunday and she had the roast and I had the sea bass. All though the food was amazing, I feel like I have been robbed by paying £22 for a piece of fish with some curry sauce around it. And of course, service charge is included - we would have tipped anyway, but I just feel I can’t justify £22 for a piece of fish. The roast itself which I have had last year as usual was great, and better value for money as you get a full roast with the trimmings. Maybe I should have gone for that instead:) They do also have a great wine list, which I always indulge in. Not sure if I can afford to visit the restaurant again but I would recommend a visit for sure to those who haven’t been. Great place to celebrate a special occasion.

Complained and sent back a dish and the manageress still tried to charge us for it then lost her temper and created a full blown argument. Terrible, terrible attitude. Extremely unprofessional, petulant and she swore at us on our way out. Our bill was nearly £500 & the dish is question was £8.50. It cast a real shadow over a Christmas evening out with old friends. Food was OK, way over priced, not nearly as good as it thinks it is. Service was god awful apart from one young lady. This place doesn't deserve your time or your money.

Eaten here several times. Great food & great service. I’ve seen people comment that the food is pricey, but bear in mind the menu prices automatically factor in a service charge (which you could elect to not pay, but with good service i’ve never felt the need to). Incredibly friendly and dog-friendly too. Great to support a local restaurant.

Easily the best restaurant in the area, Tila is superbly managed by Kitty. The food is wonderful - went for their Sunday roast with the family and everyone loved theirs, particularly the taste-sensation gravy. Very relaxed, informal space, they’re also happy to accommodate your pooch.
