We were staying in Bournemouth overnight with friends and visited this restaurant as walking distance to our hotel. We love Thai food and OMG this place was amazing! From the friendly welcoming staff and decor. The food was the best we have ever eaten! Generous portions, only wish we lived nearer as it would be my local. I had the green curry with coconut rice it was delicious! My husband had the red curry and it was equally delicious. Our friends had the duck which was huge and so tasty! Lovely place and so friendly

Not even sure what I just ate was chicken! Did not have the same texture as chicken. Genuinely made me nauseous. Probably rat or dog. In response to owner - I ordered from Tiien Thai through Deliveroo! Definitely open, definitely accepting orders.

We used to go here regularly when we lived in Bournemouth. On a recent visit we thought we try again. So glad we did! Went for an early dinner on a cold December Saturday night. Lovely helpful staff. Food was as good as we remembered. We went for a set meal which was good value and plentiful. Will definitely come back next time we are visiting.

Visit this restaurant every time we are down in Bournemouth. The staff are always super friendly and attentive. Food is always delicious and highly recommend it. There was a dog in the restaurant which wasn’t an assistant dog as it had no harness, this was disappointing to see. I used to be a dog owner so appreciate finding dog friendly pubs but this is a Thai restaurant. Overall food and service great but the dog did disappoint my visit.

Service and meal excellent as normal We visit every time we holiday in Bournemouth and would recommend to anyone who enjoys Thai! I’m upset that they allowed dogs into the restaurant and did not ask if we were ok to sit next to the dog. Family members with us are allergic to dogs. This dog was not an assistance dog as if this was the case, I would not have highlighted it to the manager. I do believe the customer who brought the dog may have lied to the restaurant about the dog being an assist dog but no harness to reflect this, as other assistants dogs have and appeared to be a pet. Following highlighting at the end of our meal as we left, I was alerted that our booking was cancelled, which I believe was to stop myself from writing a review via the booking agent. They had a quiet bar space which would have been more appropriate area for the dog.

This was a lovely meal, it was a very quiet time of day which is why I knocked off one star for atmosphere but I’m sure when it’s bustly it’s even better. The food was outstanding and as food as I have had in Thailand, and the staff were lovely and helpful. We will definitely return.

To be honest i was in thailand and spend there month - My Beloved Soup Tom Ka was tasted awfull - was taste like lemon juce, no wegetables but lots of mushrooms and thats all - i iven didnt feel real taste - so to me totaly no. Same with Curry / three times i was returned my curry as meet was raw and was sweetso iven didnt tasted like curry. So to me definetley no as i do not see as there is any Thai food. Will not return there again for sure.

Overall very disappointing after reading other reviews. Aromatic duck was mainly skin. Sea bass was ok. Price high compared to ur usual Thai restaurant. I wouldn't go here again

There is nothing better than a decent Thai Restaurant. From the outside the restaurant offers so much and they delivered. It was wonderful food, very well presented and delicious. We felt thoroughly spoilt and will certainly visit again.

The food was excellent. Service was excellent and staff very friendly. I had a Cosmopolitan cocktail which was probably the best I've ever tasted.

Lovely authentic Thai Restaurant next to the Marriott Hotel - within fairly easy (uphill) walking distance of the centre of Bournemouth. Food excellent and staff very accommodating - extensive choice on the menu and the service was just right allowing us time to have a drink and chat before ordering. Would definitely eat here again.

The food was delicious. We are not very familiar with Thai food so had a set menu to try different things. It was excellent - certainly not small portions! The restaurant is very comfortable and the waitresses wore traditional dress. It was my husband's birthday and they brought out a dessert with a candle and they all sang Happy Birthday. A very enjoyable evening.

Everything great as usual - our favourite place to eat in Bournemouth.

Just a great tasting meal, polite friendly service and more than enough food on the set menu for two we chose. We last ate here 5 years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it then, so good to know the standard remains very high still.

We had a fantastic evening out and the food was plentiful and delicious. We had a set meal for two and two drinks which were the same so it was difficult to get the bill wrong. The bill was constructed as if we had ordered everything separately, approximately £20 more expensive. I assume this overcharging works after a lot of alcohol, business meetings or when a dating couple do not want to cause a fuss.

Ordered the beef Thai basil and some chicken satays and was so tasty! The beef was so tender and flavourful. Lady on the phone was so helpful. Will certainly be ordering again!

Very good food/service Music was a bit to loud to be able to talk when we arrived.

From the moment you walk in you're warmly greeted by friendly helpful staff. The atmosphere is great, it's a really large bright well decorated restaurant. The food is absolutely superb! Incredibly fresh, bursting with flavours and spices with really big portions. I really highly recommend, especially for vegans as they have loads of incredibly delicious vegan options.

Excellent all round, the chilli beef was the best I've ever had, beef was very tender

Tiien never disappoints the food is always excellent as is the service - it is always a delight to eat here.

Good food. Lots of gluten-free and vegetarian options. Portions were not huge, and everyone was still hungry after the meal. Service was polite, although one member of our group was served quite a while after everyone else. Pad Thai was a little bland compared to what I've had in the past.

I'm sadly very disappointed, as someone that has been to Thailand multiple times. Nothing I ate reminded me of my visits. The pad Thai was awfully lemon-y and sour kinda vinegar or tomato like. I had to actually throw this in my wok and fix it. Sesame oil covered the gross flavour along with other spices. There were many bizzare vegetables in here; like courgettes... The fish cakes I had were super oily and just unpleasant, the texture was very bizzare. I ended up feeding these to my dog. The egg fried rice was the only thing we liked as it was bland and safe. The portions were very generous and the delivery was very fast. Perhaps this food is tailored to the British pallette. So if you're very British you may love it here. I had a delivery order; I assume service inside would ne nice.

Absolutely Delicious!!! Every dish was perfectly prepared and after traveling around the world I can tell you this Thai food is some of them best I have had. Every time I come to Bournemouth I will be sure to visit again! Amazing! Everything was perfect!

Tiien Thai is a wonderful place to eat! The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially when recommending items for my mum who had never had Thai food before. Absolutely delicious food and their cocktails were to die for (the strawberry mojito especially). Definitely recommend.

One of the most authentic Thai restaurants we visited for a long time! The staff were extremely friendly and very attentive! The food was superb quality and served without much of a wait! Special thank you to Tammana, Owen and Noi who despite being very busy,they made sure we had a lovely evening. We will certainly return soon.

We booked the table for 8.15pm. It took over 45 minutes for our starter to arrive and then after asking several times as to why the main course had not arrived, it was served an hour and a half after our arrival. The food was very good but the service was incredibly slow.

This may possibly be the worst Thai restaurant I have ever been to. The food was terrible and we had to send back 5 dishes. 2 of the dishes the chicken was raw in the middle. The waiter spilt a whole stirfry on the table. Drinks were appalling, flat and warm. Extremely expensive for what can only be described as food I wouldn’t even feed to a stray animal.

Food and service were amazing. The authentic Thai flavours were delicious, especially in the massaman curry we had and can't go wrong with the creamy satay sauce to go with the chicken satay skewers...had to order another sauce because we couldn't get enough. Staff were all very welcoming and attentive throughout the night. Highly recommend.

The welcoming was excellent and the service was very attentive, however it was extremely noisy not the quiet table I requested, the food was good not amazing and portions were generous, the pad Thai was very sweet no nuts on top and when we asked for some lime we received a few slices of lemon, overall the experience is not what we expected for a romantic meal for two, where you can have a conversation without having to shout, I have tried several Thai restaurants and would I go again, probably not.

Went to Bournemouth for a birthday break and found this lovely restaurant online as I enjoy Thai food. The staff were lovely the food was really good and enjoyed the atmosphere.

I had a tofu/veg Singapore noodles here about 2 years ago and have been dreaming of it ever since. No food since has quite matched the ethereal experience of eating that dish.

They won the top 100 Asian restaurant in the UK for a reason! We tried the pad Thai, pad kee mao, green curry and Tom yum soup- all were super authentic and tasty, definitely freshly made as you can taste the freshness of the veggies. Food was served fast and the staff were really friendly too. The portion is quite generous too. We ordered one main course for each of us and left the restaurant with popping out bellies 🤣 will definitely come back again.

As ever, warm welcome, excellent food, great service. The flavours of the pad krakow were deliciously complex.

Have been using Tiien for some years when we visit Bournemouth and have always made sure we visited. Unfortunately they have now introduced a service charge and being old school prefer to make the choice myself with regards to tipping. Rather than ask for the service charge to be taken off I tend not to use restaurants that include a service charge which is a shame as I have always enjoyed the Tiien.

Our plans changed suddenly and we had to find somewhere different to eat… a quick check of Google maps and reviews of local restaurants and we saw this restaurant and decided to give it a go. So very glad we did; one of the best meals we have had out ever!!!! The staff were efficient; but also friendly. Would we go again: we travelled down from Manchester and very sad it’s not nearer to us 😥 because yes; we would certainly go again. Having to stop ourselves from going twice in a 4 day trip as is. Highly highly recommend the Yellow Curry for those who like spice but can’t handle it too spicy.

Ordered the special starter for two £17.50. Fish cakes, spring rolls, satay chicken, prawn toast, bbq chicken wings. Collected from restaurant. When I got home there was barely enough fir one person and no chicken wings. I called the restaurant and explained this was an unacceptable amount of food for the price, the manager told me they don't do the chicken wings anymore but I could travel back to the restaurant and have another starter. I said im not coming back I would like a refund for the starter, being im a regular customer if not I wouldn't return. She hung up on me. This is poor customer service 😢

The staff were welcoming and friendly, in addition to being very accommodating when we informed them that we would be late for our booking (<15 mins) . The booth we were seated in was beautiful, and made the dining experience feel almost opulescent. The set menus are good value for money, and we appreciated the option to substitute a meal that we weren't as excited for, for two of the same main. The cocktails were the only factor that felt a little under value, as we found them to be inconsistent in taste, along with being a bit too pricey for our personal budget. Overall, however, the dinner was well-presented, packed full of flavour, and a very enjoyable experience. It makes for a nice change from what's usually available in Bournemouth, and we can see why they are an award-winning curry establishment.

We hadn’t visit TIIEN THAI for some while. The food and service were all great and very attentive. The slight distraction is the background noise, as the restaurant is very full of chatty people !!

Great tasting food especially the deep fried squid. Welcoming and kind staff. We met the owners and both were very welcoming. We only stayed 2 nights in Bournemouth but found the food great so decided to come back on our second night. Highly recommended.

Food was good . Staff helpfull but I have 1 major issue. We ordered a bottle of prosecco for £35 only to realise it was the exact same bottle and brand as Lidl sell for £6.49. Dont no about anyone else but I think that's extortionate.

We have visited Tien Thai each time we visit Bournemouth over the last 3 years or so. Each time, the reception has been warm, the staff superb and the food delicious. I fist visited on a business trip pre covid and made a note to come back. We will visit again tomorrow. (Slightly odd is I have reviewed before and it has vanished 🤔)

This is the 2nd time I’ve eaten here, my previous time was 4yrs ago and I’m kicking myself now for not returning sooner. I love Thai food and I have tried many many restaurants all over the uk and abroad and todate this place is now my favourite. My meal was outstanding. I enjoyed it so much i can almost remember every mouthful. I would fully recommend this place to everyone.

As soon as they confirmed it was my partners birthday they were really accommodating. They set us up in a beautiful booth with a white canopy, almost like a fairytale. The food was quick, hot and extremely flavoursome. Throughout dinner they checked in on us and made sure we were happy. The decor, ambiance and lighting were perfect, making it such a great setting for a romantic date but also a birthday celebration.

We have booked to go back in a weeks time. That shows how much we enjoyed it!

I liked the food, but felt the 18 gbp charged for the prawn fried rice was steep for the portion hut taste was great. They didn't give serving spoons for each dish so we had to ask. When they served starters they didn't give us chop sticks or forks to eat the dimsum. But these are nitpicks for a really delicious meal.

Absolutely fantastic service and authentic food - i recommended this restaurant to a Thai lady and her husband who I met again later at the hotel where I stay next door. Her words were extremely complimentary and that only added more authenticity to the whole experience. You will not be disappointed.

We had a really lovely meal here. The food was very good and reasonably priced. Only one small thing that let the service down was that we poured our own wine. This isn’t a big thing at all but usually in restaurants the waiter or waitresses would normally fill your wine up. Would definitely return as everything else was great!
