Ordered the beef Thai basil and some chicken satays and was so tasty! The beef was so tender and flavourful. Lady on the phone was so helpful. Will certainly be ordering again!

Very good food/service Music was a bit to loud to be able to talk when we arrived.

From the moment you walk in you're warmly greeted by friendly helpful staff. The atmosphere is great, it's a really large bright well decorated restaurant. The food is absolutely superb! Incredibly fresh, bursting with flavours and spices with really big portions. I really highly recommend, especially for vegans as they have loads of incredibly delicious vegan options.

Good food. Lots of gluten-free and vegetarian options. Portions were not huge, and everyone was still hungry after the meal. Service was polite, although one member of our group was served quite a while after everyone else. Pad Thai was a little bland compared to what I've had in the past.

Great atmosphere and excellent food! Highly recommended.

Absolutely Delicious!!! Every dish was perfectly prepared and after traveling around the world I can tell you this Thai food is some of them best I have had. Every time I come to Bournemouth I will be sure to visit again! Amazing! Everything was perfect!

I'm sadly very disappointed, as someone that has been to Thailand multiple times. Nothing I ate reminded me of my visits. The pad Thai was awfully lemon-y and sour kinda vinegar or tomato like. I had to actually throw this in my wok and fix it. Sesame oil covered the gross flavour along with other spices. There were many bizzare vegetables in here; like courgettes... The fish cakes I had were super oily and just unpleasant, the texture was very bizzare. I ended up feeding these to my dog. The egg fried rice was the only thing we liked as it was bland and safe. The portions were very generous and the delivery was very fast. Perhaps this food is tailored to the British pallette. So if you're very British you may love it here. I had a delivery order; I assume service inside would ne nice.

Moi was the perfect host and gave the most warm welcoming greeting. All staff serving were very attentive. Husband And i shared the set menu B and it was delicious. Perfect mix of dishes, tastes and variety of heat. We loved all of it. Thank you for making our mid week treat celebration lovely 💖

One of the most authentic Thai restaurants we visited for a long time! The staff were extremely friendly and very attentive! The food was superb quality and served without much of a wait! Special thank you to Tammana, Owen and Noi who despite being very busy,they made sure we had a lovely evening. We will certainly return soon.

This may possibly be the worst Thai restaurant I have ever been to. The food was terrible and we had to send back 5 dishes. 2 of the dishes the chicken was raw in the middle. The waiter spilt a whole stirfry on the table. Drinks were appalling, flat and warm. Extremely expensive for what can only be described as food I wouldn’t even feed to a stray animal.

Food and service were amazing. The authentic Thai flavours were delicious, especially in the massaman curry we had and can't go wrong with the creamy satay sauce to go with the chicken satay skewers...had to order another sauce because we couldn't get enough. Staff were all very welcoming and attentive throughout the night. Highly recommend.

I had a tofu/veg Singapore noodles here about 2 years ago and have been dreaming of it ever since. No food since has quite matched the ethereal experience of eating that dish.

They won the top 100 Asian restaurant in the UK for a reason! We tried the pad Thai, pad kee mao, green curry and Tom yum soup- all were super authentic and tasty, definitely freshly made as you can taste the freshness of the veggies. Food was served fast and the staff were really friendly too. The portion is quite generous too. We ordered one main course for each of us and left the restaurant with popping out bellies 🤣 will definitely come back again.

Our plans changed suddenly and we had to find somewhere different to eat… a quick check of Google maps and reviews of local restaurants and we saw this restaurant and decided to give it a go. So very glad we did; one of the best meals we have had out ever!!!! The staff were efficient; but also friendly. Would we go again: we travelled down from Manchester and very sad it’s not nearer to us 😥 because yes; we would certainly go again. Having to stop ourselves from going twice in a 4 day trip as is. Highly highly recommend the Yellow Curry for those who like spice but can’t handle it too spicy.

Ordered the special starter for two £17.50. Fish cakes, spring rolls, satay chicken, prawn toast, bbq chicken wings. Collected from restaurant. When I got home there was barely enough fir one person and no chicken wings. I called the restaurant and explained this was an unacceptable amount of food for the price, the manager told me they don't do the chicken wings anymore but I could travel back to the restaurant and have another starter. I said im not coming back I would like a refund for the starter, being im a regular customer if not I wouldn't return. She hung up on me. This is poor customer service 😢

Great tasting food especially the deep fried squid. Welcoming and kind staff. We met the owners and both were very welcoming. We only stayed 2 nights in Bournemouth but found the food great so decided to come back on our second night. Highly recommended.

Food was good . Staff helpfull but I have 1 major issue. We ordered a bottle of prosecco for £35 only to realise it was the exact same bottle and brand as Lidl sell for £6.49. Dont no about anyone else but I think that's extortionate.

Food is incredible we have come down from Newbury for the weekend staying at the marriot at Highcliffe and it has to be the tastiest thai food I have ever eaten and is right next to the hotel definitely visiting again 👍

We have visited Tien Thai each time we visit Bournemouth over the last 3 years or so. Each time, the reception has been warm, the staff superb and the food delicious. I fist visited on a business trip pre covid and made a note to come back. We will visit again tomorrow. (Slightly odd is I have reviewed before and it has vanished 🤔)

I liked the food, but felt the 18 gbp charged for the prawn fried rice was steep for the portion hut taste was great. They didn't give serving spoons for each dish so we had to ask. When they served starters they didn't give us chop sticks or forks to eat the dimsum. But these are nitpicks for a really delicious meal.

Absolutely fantastic service and authentic food - i recommended this restaurant to a Thai lady and her husband who I met again later at the hotel where I stay next door. Her words were extremely complimentary and that only added more authenticity to the whole experience. You will not be disappointed.

Had a very bad stomach after eating here & so did my son. Waiter was very rushed & dropped half my starter on the floor.

Tried to book a table for 8pm was told 8:30 would be better, agreed to 8:30. Got there was sat down. Waitress came and I ordered my drink and starter and main course. I asked to have starter first as per normal, was told kitchen is very busy they going to bring everything together. I said fine. I waited for oner hour twenty minutes before the food came. While I was waiting a family with two young kids were two tables away from the older kid had a massive tantrum this went on for about 15-20 without the manager intervention asking the family to take the kid out. My food came while I ate the soup my main meal was getting cold. Which do not like cold food. This is a very bad customer service. I ended up eating half of the main meal. I would not recommend this restaurant to anybody. I can only remember enjoying the the tom yum soup as it was warm.

Visited Bournemouth for bank holiday weekend, and loved the authentic Thai cuisine from Tiien! Our server Noi was particularly lovely and was very welcoming and accommodated for us before they shut at 10:30. Food was incredible. Fully recommend the Dim Sum and Massaman Curry. Thank you for an amazing experience! We will be specifically come back to Bournemouth for this restaurant.

Lovely authentic thai food! Service let the experience down as took ages for someone to take our order and for the bill to come, however the food was well cooked with great spices.

Food was not authentic. Tom yam was really bland, watery and tasteless. We have two side portions of rice both mushy, one more than the other. Fried Onion rings, spring rolls and tempura tasted good, but too oily. The green curry and Thai holy basil were sub par and we were unable to finish. For the price we would expect much more. Service was very unique. You get a grunt when asking for the bill and they didn’t seem fully there. Overall wound not recommend. Not sure how they won an award

Amazing food in a pleasant busy restaurant.

Had dinner there yesterday. Did not even have a good welcome. The receptionist couldn't even speak proper english l. Was just asking "are you booking". Getting to the point. The food took so much time to be served at least 1 hour for the starters to arrive.(Btw the starters was way too oily). Then had to wait another hour for the main course to arrive. At last when the mains arrived i was served the wrong dish. I am a big fan of thai food, but this restaurant is far from serving people good thai food. Would not recommend. Would recomend to the in charge to be a bit more respectful to their staffs. And please put some lights on in the restaurant for good lighting. I really think they have falsified their award. Furthermore it would be much appreciated if this one staff (the one who can't speak proper english) would treat all clients equally regardless of their skin colour or race.

We came to visit Bournemouth and found Tiien as one of the top rated Thai restaurants, didn't book for a table. We were asked to wait (15 mins) if there was any table available. They gave us a table right by the toilets. Waited 1hr to get a plate of starters which definitely not worth the price. Was too oily. And then waited another hour for our main course. I ordered all vegetarian with tofu and vegetables- all vegetables were raw in a sauce that tasted like it was only heated up for serving (not fresh). Worst of all I ordered a dish with cashew nuts it didn't come with any, I asked if it was the right dish. It was sent to the kitchen after 10 mins the same plate came back to my table with a bunch of cold cashews thrown on top and the place looked messier than I sent it. Plus the manager had the audacity to tell me "you like cashew, here I gave you extra". I didn't even eat a single spoon of that dish as it didn't look like I could trust it. So that's £15 wasted. I normally fight for my rights but I just didn't feel like fighting on this specific day. Overall very very disappointed. If they didn't have any tables or were too busy to provide quality food for the £78 that costed me they shouldn't have fooled me into thinking they would provide a good service.

We had not reserved a table on this Saturday night but they made it possible that we could have dinner. The staff was very friendly and the food was great. Good Thai kitchen as expected.

A very busy restaurant where it was obvious that the kitchen was not able to cope with the volume of diners arriving (we had booked) but most hadn’t plus takeaway orders. Table was 19.15 and the main course didn’t arrive until 20.35. Needed several attempts to summon the bill. Food was decent to be fair.

Probably the best Thai food me and my family have ever had. We ended up coming here twice in a weekend as the food was just incredible. Very friendly staff too. When we are back in Bournemouth we shall absolutely be back

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We were a party of 8, adults and kids and they catered to everyone’s needs. The service was good, we didn’t have to wait for anything for long. It was all very tasty and good size portions. Would highly recommend and will definitely return.

Food was very good unfortunately the portion size of mixed starter has been changed (less items now) and for £18 , 2 satay sticks 2 prawn toast, 2 spring roll and 2 fish cake that said The duck and beef with holy basil was delicious. The restaurant could to with a refresh as seating is worn and tired also some staff were dressed in Thai clothing with other looking a bit scruffy. Service was slow and a chef was bringing out food Such a shame as last time it was much better experience

I can describe the food in one word: WOW. Probably the very best Thai I’ve ever had from the Dim Sum and Steamed Shrimp to start through to the Lemon Chilli Sea Bass with Tamarind Crispy Duck. The food here is absolutely amazing.

We had fish cakes and spring rolls for starters. Chicken sweet and sour stir fry with noodlesl and Thai green curry with rice for mains.

After our first visit the second was for a group of 8 as we wait it was so good… sadly the service was just non existent… they just did not care that we waited 10 minutes for our first drinks… food fantastic, service aweful. We did notice the lady owner was not there, she entrusted the running to the young ones… big mistake.

The food was tasty and the restaurant staffs were very polite and friendly. The staff is very friendly and the food is delicious. If you can't tolerate spicy food, you can try their Masaman Curry, where the meat and potatoes are stewed very badly. If you want something spicy, you can try the green curry chicken, it’s very authentic!

I’m so surprised at the rating for this place. It may be due to lack of competition. All the main dishes had a fishy smell, I’m not new to Thai food and this is not normal. The chips were soggy and almost like they’d been microwaved. On the plus side, the staff were very friendly.

I'd not been to Tiien Thai for a while so I was relieved to find that it was still as good as it was.......I won't leave it too long before I return again.

Lovely modern decor, run by Thai people and some of the tables were occupied by people of that heritage, always a good sign. Not many others in restaurant BUT it was 8pm on Sunday (England had justo won in extra time of Euros, everyone at home or pub?). Food tasty and good value. Usual options, we had spring rolls, prawn red curry, chicken and vegetables stir fry, plus steamed rice. Recommended.

Lovely people and delicious food. Very clean and tidy. Catered for our less spicy taste buds had set menu for 2z Restaurant gets very busy so booked online early.

Returning customers. Will definitely return again. Seat positioning is key. Found ourselves on 'the right' when entering, but felt a bit like an overflow area. Thinking 'the left' is more authentic fro memory of our last visit. Some of the servers were dressed casually - would be nicer to know that waiting staff are waiting staff with same uniform. Found people clearing dishes mixed with waiters and similarly dressed. Main 'owners' (?) were dressed traditionally and looked lovely. However, everyone was so friendly and ultra-helpful, with the food beautiful. Thanks for a lovely evening.

We received a friendly welcome and the food was tasty, but the service was a bit haphazard. We had various waiters come to our table, and some were better than others. Drinks and food didn't all come together but nothing was said to us, though the manager did chase the final dish to arrive, some time after everyone else's. The food is expensive and there wasn't a lot of meat in the curries, instead padded out with raw peppers, and the rice portions were not large enough to match the curry ( one of the cheapest ingredients). The venue is large and tastefully decorated, but I think it could have more Thai influence in its decorations. There is outside seating and it's located a few minutes walk from the cliff top. Overall, a pleasant experience.

Was really excited about going here, especially when this restaurant boasts awards on their website and soon a you walk through the door. Over all not bad, Would not go back and my Thai basil chicken is better. The food lacks the proper “pop” of Thai cuisine.

Food and service was excellent. Knowledge of the menu was very helpful. Would come again. Price is rather expensive and the portions possibly a bit on the small side for the price you pay.

Service was impeccable but the food was poor. The Thai fishcakes were quite rubbery and oily, the Tiien Special rice had sultanas and no flavour (salt or pepper). I asked for chili oil but this also lacked heat. Sultanas in rice was not mentioned on the menu. The tempura veg was lovely but I was so disappointed by the rice, I left. Great location but had to pay £16.50 for 2 hours parking. There is limited parking but it's a hot day and busy, if there are no free spaces, expect to pay.

Had an anniversary dinner here last night the best food at a restaurant we've had in ages we had the set meal for 2 could not fault anything tasty and very enjoyable manager and staff very helpful and friendly the chef amazing definitely worth every penny definitely a 5☆thankyou all for making it a great evening 😀

We went for dinner on Monday and this place was very busy. The food was good my but my Kir Royal wasn't, but I drank it anyway because I don't like wastage. My friends were veruy happy with their choices.
