I adore this place. The most authentic and delicious Thai food I've had outside of Thailand, and at a really reasonable price. Always friendly service too. My favourite local place to eat in or takeaway for sure!! Thank you everyone at Thai smile x

A friend recommended this place to us. We have been in search of a good thai place in Bournemouth. Upon entering we were welcomed by the good ambience of a small fish pond and a nice server. We put in our orders which is a green papaya salad and spring rolls. The spring rolls was okay, but the papaya salad was amazing. It had that heat that I’ve been looking for in asian dishes. My husband who is not fond of fish sauce slurped the sauce of it. And then I ordered Pad Thai for mains and he ordered the drunken noodles. First bite and we were mind blown. It was amazing!!! The flavor profile and the mouth feel was just spot on. And the prices were great too. 2 starters and 2 mains was for less than £40. This is our new favorite place in Bournemouth. This place is so underrated.

I was served by the very kind and smiling receptionist lady, also got mint chocolate for no extra charge. Cheap and cheerful. Definitely recommendable.

We were visiting from London and this was my Mum’s recommendation (who lives locally). We had mixed starters for two, king prawns in red curry sauce, green curry chicken, paneng chicken, morning glory (pak boung) by special request, egg fried rice. I can’t overstate how delicious this was - and we used to live in Thailand and Cambodia so we have experience to draw on. And the service was delightful, humble, polite and not over bearing at all. A Hank you to everyone who served or cooked for us at Thai Smile last night. We will be back next time we are in Bournemouth.

There was a birthday party.. Place was full of Thai's. All shouting.. Just like being in Thailand..

Fabulous food well packed no spillages even tho all full to the top taste delicious

Dishes are served without travel and there is no proper communication. Menu unclear and dishes far too expensive. Foods that are supposed to be mild are spicy. Avoid the place if you don't want to be deceived.

Love the food and always come back!

There are a lot of noodles. We ate some, we shared some and there was still half a box. Very good value and tasty more importantly. A small family business.

Went there for lunch and tried something different to my normal. The spare ribs wher beautiful and had a smoky sauce and the stir fry was the best I've ever had

Was given Spring Rolls instead of Spare Ribs. Complimentary prawn crackers were VERY stale. Curry was decent enough.

Went on a Tues evening and was worried that it was a bit empty, but the food and service were great. Price £35pp incl 2 beers each.

The pad Thai tasted nothing like pad thai, it was dry and flavourless and the tub containing the ribs was opened

Superb food great service highly recommended

Peanuts listed as an ingredient but were not in the pad Thai dish I received. Veg Penang curry tasted good but did not have many vegetables in it.

Great food, excellent service. Hot and sour soup is to die for, mixed starter is great value. Tupperware provided for doggy bags too when eating in. Service couldn't do enough for us and were hospitable without being overbearing. Great value too 👍

We ordered great starters (veggie platter) which was great, and for mains we got thai green curry and pad Thai and both were very tasty and authentic. The restaurant had a quiet atmosphere. Overall do recommend!

Unbelievably amazing food. Must have Thai green curry. We ordered a lot of items. Everything was fantastic. Must must have a meal here.

Both curries were very watery. One that was supposed to have peanuts had one single peanut. To be fair there was a good quantity of chicken.

Came for a casual dinner, and was really disappointed with the lack of cleanliness of the place. The floor was dirty, tables were sticky and the plates weren't super clean. 3 out of 4 the following day had a bad stomach next day! I really don't like to leave poor reviews for small business, but we should have just left. The staff were very friendly though.

Very disappointed in the duck, hardly any, certainly nowhere near half a duck, not even a quarter and it was majority fat and no meat. Will not order again.

Dim sum dumplings were enormous, juicy & delicious. Chicken satay was chargrilled perfectly & still hot. Pad Thai to die for! Will absolutely be ordering again. Thank you!!

One of our party had the beef salad, be warned while fabulous it really is pretty spicy (and funny to watch hime keep eating because it was too good to stop... until he was red in the face) I had the massaman curry which was amazing and actually everyone loved their food

The food here was absolutely delicious, authentic to Thailand, would definitely come back. Great for vegans and vegetarians. I had the green curry and my partner had the prawn curry, both were 10/10.

Eaten here numerous times. Takeaway this time (also done many times). Pork skewers so tasty. Penang curry, noodles and beef rice. Food was delicious. Best Thai around. Excellent service and beer whilst waiting.

Purchased 1/2 duck may have been a quale. Any dish with fluids resembles tasty water. Will use again. Crackers on point.

I have ordered from Thai Smiles many times and always been impressed. Tonight we were very disappointed unfortunately. The starters were swimming in grease, the prawn toast tasted stale and the red curry looked curdled.

Great Thai food served hot and well presented. Service is good, but lacks atmosphere. I would visit again for the quality of the food nothing more. Parking is nearby in car park behind Boscombe library so a short walk to the restaurant. Worth a visit if you like Thai food at a reasonable price. Beer a little above what you would pay in a pub.

Delivery was excellent 20 mins early but the staters were all cold very disappointed because they weren’t microwaveable due the nature of the food, by the time I’d eaten these I really didn’t fancy the main coarse even though that was hot overall very disappointing Thai Food

Lovely food and great service. Really good value too and portion size was much larger than we have experienced at other Thai restaurants. Definitely recommend.

Sorry but that was the worst Thai ever and to be fair it's insulting to Thai chefs to even call that Thai!

Best value Thai restaurant in Bournemouth and Poole

Chicken was too tough in all three dishes containing chicken. Curry too watery. Overall flavours weren't bad.

Been to the Smile many times and always enjoyed there unique fantastic taste. .Upon this visit we noticed how tired the place looked and empty of customers. The vegtable dish comes with rice which we asked to swap for some extra veg which they agreed.. When the bill came they charged us extra. The chicken dish was mostly pineapple i no things change, but i hate being cheated so with regret we will not return.

The food was nice. But the jungle curry was lacking spice and flavour. It was not at all spicy almost as if some ingredients were missing especially as there were no chilli's in it. The penang has slightly more flavour but not very hot.

First time user, loved the food, nice size portions, tasted great. My only niggle was hardly any cashews in that stir fry. But will used you again.

We went to the Thai Smile for my daughter's birthday 2 weeks ago. The decor is very rough and ready and not very welcoming. We ordered a mix of dishes and made it clear what we wanted. The waitress read the choices back to us to confirm. Half the food came and then we waited 10 minutes for the other dishes to come. When it did come one of the dishes was not what we ordered and another dish was missing, so the waitress had to go back and get us the right meal. So that was another 5 or 10 minute wait while the rest of our food was going cold. I think we were charged extra for the dish that we hadn't ordered that we sent back. When the bill came it was much more expensive than I expected but as there was no itemised bill I could not check. I wanted to query the bill with the manager but as it was my daughter’s birthday my wife said not to query the bill but to just pay up and leave. PS. I was very miffed that my wife actually left a tip!

DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS RESTAURANT - Rude and irresponsible with booking. We were told by the restaurant at booking that we can dine in with a dog as long as it’s in a bag. We have arrived with our small Pomeranian in a bag (see attached photo) but was told that she is not allowed and had to leave. Restaurant did not provide alternative and was not helpful at all.

Booked for my husband's birthday arrive 10 mins early and they were over booked. We were not impressed they were trying to move customers around to accommodate us. We left.

Ordered from here as heard good things. I can only assume ownership/chef has changed as this is quite honestly the worst ‘Thai’ I’ve had, I’m afraid. Absolutely no flavour in anything, large portions of flavourless mush. Even the chicken tasted awful and was gristly :(

Really poor takeaway service took our money and we didn’t receive our food The manager wouldn’t help us in anyway and just denied any responsibility
