Blue Mango in Bournemouth

We always go to Prezzo in Bournemouth and my wife had Pea and goats cheese meal which was so small it was more like a child’s meal. I had a pizza which was fine. We will find it difficult to return to Prezzo’s after this experience. It is a shame because we have been eating at Prezzo for a long time now.

Good food. Excellent value for money. Good service. Very pleasant venue.

Nice warm welcome on arrival. We were served by a very friendly nice gentleman. He had excellent customer service skills. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals and glasses of wine.

The staff serving were really friendly, making the whole evening really enjoyable. Justine was super helpful . Food was lovely- everyone was happy with what they ordered.

Our food order was wrong, my chips didn’t come out at all so I had to cancel them and my friend had to box hers up once the right item did come as we then run out of time.

If there weren't any offers there would certainly be plenty of complaints. The food portions are dire! My meal was a small portion of meat and a serving spoon of mash smashed to make it look more, with nothing else, for £19! Probably small portions, tempting you to buy extras at extortionate prices.

Despite it being very quiet in the restaurant, it took us 20 mins to be asked what we wanted. Food came out very nice however didn’t get our drinks till nearly the end of our meal. The chef had been the one to bring our food out, indicating that it was understaffed, however, The manager seemed to be running around doing everything and the waitress was barely doing anything. There was several families with kids screaming and running around which could’ve easily been prevented from a polite ask to keep the noise down. There was flies coming out of the bins in the toilets which clearly hadn’t been changed in a while. I also work in hospitality so I hate to be the one complaining for once but I was forced to this time. :(

Food was very average which was a shame. My sister had a prawn dish and only had 4 prawns! My mash looked like it had been sitting under a heater. It was ok, wasn’t awful but just disappointed. The service was a bit naff. No one came over to take more drinks order or asked us about desserts or coffee.

Not a great experience for me and my 9 year old daughter. Advertising an Easter menu, but was never offered the menu, I had to ask for it. I noticed others also were not offered the Easter menu. No parmesan cheese offered either. Staff were not very attentive even though it wasn't very busy.

Great service from Mirka and the team. A good Prezzo restaurant. We were fortunate to walk in Easter Saturday without a booking and they found us a table quickly. Restaurant was busy so would recommend booking to guarantee table. Service was very prompt and friendly. Special mention to Mirka who was an excellent server. Questions on food answered, order taken accurately, drinks brought quickly. Food was great, mixture of pizza and pasta dishes. All good quality week cooked, good flavours. Bill was brought promptly when requested and easy payment. Would visit again.

Chose this one over the one at BH2 as wanted a more quiet lunch. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was, as per usual, absolutely delicious.

We had sharing plate, not very generous. The minimum I would think. Lasagne lacked flavour and spaghetti with prawns not great either. Overall way too expensive for what you are getting.

Disappointed that the 2 for 1 mains voucher I had was not accepted as it was Easter Saturday. The voucher had only been downloaded the previous week and the small print specified 'valid in Prezzo restaurants every day from 12pm'. There were then a few dates mentioned when voucher not valid 'Valentines Day, Mothers Day and Fathers Day' but no mention of Easter. Several other customers were also querying the fact that the vouchers were not being accepted. Not a good result.

This was an excellent restaurant with immaculate service. Our desserts came immediately and there was hardly any wait at all despite the restaurant being very busy with no empty tables. The food was delicious.

On arrival to the restaurant we were greeted by a member of staff who showed us to our table, he proceeded to throw menu's on the table at us instead of placing them on the table making us feel like we weren't valued customers, especially since we observed him place menu's nicely on other diners tables. Our main server on the other hand was nice and friendly. The food was very tasty however definitely on the pricey side.

I’ve never been to Prezzo before but my friend it for her birthday so whilst in Bournemouth I decided to take her as a special treat. The restaurant was nearly empty when we walked in but the staff were very welcoming and friendly. However it took over 20 minutes for our drinks order to be taken, then the food approx 10 mins later. When the food came (over 30mins later) it was stone cold to touch! BOTH pasta dishes! We sent these back for this reason then they appeared again 10 mins later but with the same parmesan on so had just clearly been placed under a hot plate or in the microwave to be reheated!! The cheese was crusty on top and the dishes were bone dry!!! We sent these back AGAIN and waiting ANOTHER 10/15mins for fresh plates. When they came they were ok and at least cooked to an edible state this time! What they should’ve been like in the first place! By this time (nearly 90mins of arriving!) we were both past it and I left half of mine. The lady serving us was very good and apologetic but how was this allowed?? Do you not have standards?? We then recieved our bill at the end with no discount or good will gesture whatsoever which left a very sour taste in my mouth! As it was a friends birthday treat I didn’t want to argue the bill but that service is extremely poor and I begrudged paying £43 for the food we received! Absolutely appalling! Save your money and go elsewhere! I certainly will be!

Prezzo offers a modern and stylish setting, with a neutral palette of greys and earthy tones creating a calm and contemporary atmosphere. It’s an inviting space, but when it comes to the food, I expected a bit more. We ordered a gluten-free pasta and a Margherita pizza, both of which were decent but unremarkable—the kind of dishes you could find just about anywhere. For a brand like Prezzo, I anticipated a higher level of quality and flavour, but the execution felt standard rather than special. That said, the service was excellent. The staff were attentive, friendly, and efficient, ensuring a smooth and pleasant dining experience. While the food didn’t impress, the service certainly did.

The food was so mid - soggy fries, ordered truffle fries and couldn’t even taste the truffle - had the calzone and had barely anything inside and so overpriced. Support a local Italian instead.

Callum and his team are excellent. We went with my disabled father and nothing was too much trouble. The food was wonderful and incredibly tasty. Callum was very patient, kind and helpful. He helped my elderly mum choose and made sure everything came out together. Brilliant place for dinner. First class service. I can't believe what good value the food is too.

Visited at 1700 on a Friday afternoon. Plenty of tables free and a good 2 for 1 promotion for January. Staff were very friendly and attentive - particularly the lovely Italian man that served us. Prompt service of food and very tasty too. The Calzone pizza was a belter! Nice atmosphere. Great coffee. I would thoroughly recommend.

I lost my receipt so can't do the customer survey. I particularly wanted to commend Marka our waitress (hope I got her name right). She was outstanding, such a sparkling personality and so attentive. We had a great family meal for six people; she made it an outstanding occasion.

Food was due for delivery at 18.55 but did not arrive until after 20.00. Food was cold on arrival. I called the restaurant prior to delivery who confirmed it was made within 10 minutes of ordering but took an hour to be collected by delivery driver.

We choose Prezzo for us to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday. From the booking to the bill our experience was superb. Although it was extremely busy (due to the Christmas lights) we were served promptly and food was hot and delicious. We were a party of 12 people and everyone enjoyed themselves. Special thanks goes to Veronika who went out of her way to look after us. She made our evening extra memorable.

Me and my friend have come here tonight and had one of the best restaurant experiences we've ever had. We had Callum as our server and he was so friendly and helpful. The pasta was homemade and cooked so so well. I would 100% recommend this restaurant for an evening meal :)

Stopped by at 6pm for a quick meal With the kids before meeting friends at 7:30. Hour and a half to eat for x2 slices of garlic bread, x2 pizzas and a salad, plenty of time. Ordered food and garlic bread arrived after 10 mins then nothing….. tables all around us being served after us and eating before us 🙈 got to the hour and a half point and we’d been served x2 slices of garlic bread. Had to ask for the bill to pay what we’d eaten and even then took 10 mins to sort that out. Won’t be returning

Food was good but pizza was stone cold. Would have heated in oven but then carbonara would have got cold and would have split if reheated.

Food was great, service however was terrible and nearly non existent. Took ages to get the bill and had to have items removed as they were not brought to us, the waitress was rude and uninterested and showed no care at all. It’s a shame the service was such a letdown as the food was fantastic.

Restaurant was quite busy on a Monday evening and would have benefitted with another member of staff. Starters slightly overdone and tasted a little burnt in places. Pizza tasted good however the pasta lacked enough crab and flavour, slightly bland.

I recently dined at Prezzo Bournemouth and found the experience to be somewhat underwhelming. The pasta dish I ordered was noticeably less creamy than what I expected, which took away from the overall flavor and enjoyment. While the ingredients seemed fresh, the lack of richness in the sauce left the dish feeling a bit bland. The service was decent, but nothing particularly stood out to make the visit memorable. Overall, it was an average dining experience – not terrible, but I wouldn’t rush back.

Amazing meal at Prezzo, taken care of by the lovely Callum and Balazs, the whole team were fabulous and nothing was too much to ask for. Food was delicious and came out quick despite it being a busy Saturday night! Lovely atmosphere 100% recommend xx

had a lovely dinner here a couple of days ago, the spinach creste di gallo was divine! very kind and polite staff, our server Janka was an absolute star! the atmosphere was very warm and welcoming, would definitely recommend! will be returning soon :))

I have not been to a Prezzo for some time. We ordered a calzone and a regular pizza, with courgette and olive tapenade, and extra anchovies. Both were good. Side salad and chips. Cheesecake and a sundae to follow. I had a 30% food discount voucher. Otherwise, I feel it's relatively expensive. The restaurant was clean and the staff were great.

Staff are a credit to the brand. So attentive, felt like we were in a Michelin star restaurant.

Yes restaurant is a little run down inside but I've eaten both in and now experienced take out which was just as good and authentic as eating in. Much better than tienn in quality and authenticity.

We had a lovely, impromptu meal out this evening. On entry into the restaurant, we were greeted by a friendly member of staff who took us to a quiet area of the restaurant, as per our request. We were later greeted by Callum, who was clearly working hard and made sure he checked back with us after each course. He really looked after us and made sure we had everything we needed. We had a lovely evening, with speedy service and friendly staff all around. Personally I think the quality and portion sizes of Prezzo has decreased overtime. A once brilliant Italian franchise has slowly lost its wow factor in my own opinion. I felt on my own dish the cannelloni, the pasta was a little uncooked in places and the sauce was a little dry compared to times I've had it in the past. I would usually have the goats cheese alforna (one of the main reasons I would go to Prezzo) but they have removed this from the menu which I am very disappointed in. Overall the service was great here, friendly staff and the atmosphere was nice, but I think the food let it down slightly. I would recommend going here however, as it's more based on my preference being a little overpriced for what it now has become.

We went in there with 6 people on New Year's Day. Quite excited about a restaurant being open on new yearid1878 s day and we was not disappointed. Callum, who served us, was one of the best members of staff that we have ever had. Service in apprentice food was hot and prepared excelhe took the time to ask us all our names and remember them through the entirety of a member of staff. Our first time for the Bottomless Brunch. Let's start with the positives. Food. One of the best menus for food that we have had, and we have done a lot of Brunches. Good choice and large portions. The service was good for the food. The quality of the drinks was great, and a good selection. And now the negatives. The drinks service was slow, and the making of the drinks also slow. Combined with the policy of only one drink each, at a time and it had to be finished, means that your 2 hrs of bottomless drinks gets eaten up quickly. A ploy someay say?!? If your gonna join the Bottomless Brunch band wagon, you have got to have good drink service, some places give bar temders 2min to make a cocktail. This ensures a constant flow. If this is your first foray into bottomless brunches, don't. There are better out there, but the food is better than most.

By the time the food was delivered it was all cold, they forgot our chips and the pasta was so cold it was just oily. Overall not great when delivered.

A small step above other Prezzo’s I’ve visited. Popped in here for an early dinner at 5pm on a Friday. The ambiance is really nice, with really comfy booths and a spacious and relaxed feel to the restaurant. Felt like a nice treat with proper comfort and ambiance, more so than Franco Manca’s down the road. The pizza was nice, cooked in their woodfired pizza ovens. There are nicer pizzas in Bournemouth but there was certainly nothing to complain about with what they offered here. Good offers to be found as well if you look around!

Turned up at 4pm today, asked politely if there was a table of 5 available for food. The front of house staff member was extremely rude saying ‘no’. No elaboration was given just ‘no’. We were seriously taken a back due to a half empty restaurant- with only a few people seated at tables. Regardless if they could not accommodate walk in’s or business when the restaurant was half empty, manners & respect cost nothing. One of our party did not hear what had occurred & asked what had been said. At which point the front of house staff member very rudely & abruptly interjected ‘I said no, the answer is no.’ There was no elaboration, no ‘sorry we can’t accommodate you right now because of x’. None of us have ever experienced such rudeness from someone working in the customer service industry. Clearly the staff need to attend a training course on communication & customer service before they have a significant & detrimental effect on the business, if they have not done so already. We will not be returning.

Ordered the chicken burger and the chips were tiny, the manager just said that's how it comes, very disappointing won't be coming back.

Arrived at 11:33 after the sign was put out and menus on the table, was told by what I am assuming as a manager (Guy dark shirt, long hair) was told we don't open now, the bar isn't ready and neither is the kitchen will be open more like 1145/1200. Which is quite bad, if your not open, don't put out the sign and open the door. Once we were able to come in the same manager showed us to the table with what appeared to me as a bit of a attitude. Once our waitress came however our experience significantly improved she was talkative and attentive and dealt with our allergy requirements. We still couldn't order food till after 12 however as the kitchen took way beyond their opening time to be ready. Toilets looked very run down by the way. Off the 2 men's toilets, one had no working lock. Overall the waitress was really good but sounds like some management issues lead to many of the issues we experienced. Definitely won't be returning to this prezzo.

It was my first night in Bournemouth, I'd met some lovely people and was enjoying my evening, oh boy that was about to change. I went into the Blue Mango around 11pm ish, I looked through the menu and ordered my food and a JD and Coke. While I was waiting I went to the gents, I've taken a picture of the wall, it's the first thing you see when you walk in, it almost made me walk straight out of the "resteraunt " Isn't hind sight a wonderful thing. I sat at my table and watched the staff, I was the only person in there, they all acted like they didn't care I was hearing what they were saying. I got my food and drink, now I sipped my drink first, my first reaction was to spite it back in the glass, it was rank! My food was just as bad, it had about 3 pieces of chicken in it, the rest was vegetables, a typical trick to make ss much profit as possible. In the end I left more than half my dinner and 3/4 of my drink. I can honestly say that this place is the worst I have ever had the displeasure of eating at. To top it off, at 3am my stomach decided it had taken enough abuse and it projectiled out faster than it went in. How this place is still open I have no idea, how the council allow this to go on is another mystery!

Had a delicious ham, mushroom and mascarpone pizza here. Very welcoming host. Place was very popular.
