The last year has been a struggle for everyone, but especially in trying to find ways to celebrate during lockdown. My husband treated us to afternoon tea at home from Tiger Lilly's for my birthday and it really made the day special. The food arrived on card cake stands with a cotton bag of cocktails and mixers. All the food was really tasty and the cocktails were lovely. Excellent, would def do again.

Had booked here to finish off a day out in the capital after hearing good things. To put it in short, we were really disappointed. Upon entering the restaurant there was no clear guidance on where to go, you enter a hallway and there is an empty lounge/bar on your left and you have to walk quite a bit further up to reach the restaurant. Due to the lack of signage we actually left the restaurant to check we hadn’t came in a wrong door. The menu wasn’t extensive, understandably, so instead of ordering starters we decided to get “bites” to share. We ordered the Garlic & Rosemary Focaccia, Crackers and Parmesan & Truffle Butter. The Focaccia bread was sparse, one large strip and one smaller strip and a small amount of butter on the plate. The crackers were nice but it wasn’t much more than overpriced bread and butter - think something you’d get in a continental breakfast.We both opted for the Ribeye Steak, which was pricy but we wrongly assumed it would be worth the price. The steak was average, as were the chips. We still don’t know if it was even peppercorn sauce we received with it, it was runny and dark and didn’t resemble peppercorn sauce at all. I’ve had plenty better steaks for much less than this.Finally we ordered the Sticky Toffee Pudding with Miso Salted Butterscotch & Vanilla Ice Cream. I recommend if you have allergies or dietary requirements or even preferences to check with them first, as they don’t list all the ingredients on the menu. It came with a chocolate drizzle, which I can’t eat but I would’ve appreciated if it was detailed on the menu. I had to send mine back to ensure there was no chocolate on it but by the time the new one arrived my partner had finished. His was lukewarm, and after removing the chocolate from my new plate, the miso salted butterscotch was also removed - but there was no point bothering to rectify this by then.The staff were great and attentive, but the layout of the restaurant had the waiters having to come up to our table to check on our progress quite a lot which left us feeling quite pressured to eat quickly. The bill came to £95 and for a “Bite”, 2 average steaks, 2 desserts and 3 drinks, this was totally not value for money. I could’ve spent half the price at my local restaurant for a far better meal and experience.As for the atmosphere, it was not what we expected at all. We expected it to be smart casual, but seen a few people in tracksuit tops etc. The decor is lovely, but as previously mentioned, the layout isn’t very good.Upon leaving the restaurant, I decided to use the toilets - another point where the signage wasn’t clear. I had to wait until someone emerged from the toilets to ask which was which, instead of “Male” and “Female”, the toilets are labelled “Tiger” and “Lily”. I appreciate this is obviously a play on words but there wasn’t even basic symbols. When I found out “Tiger” was for “Male” and “Lily” was for “Female” I was extremely confused until my partner explained it was obviously linked to gender stereotypes - nice! It wouldn’t be difficult to have less confusing and less problematic signage for something as basic as toilets. Furthermore, almost every cubicle I entered in the women’s toilet was unclean or the lock was broken.This was a poor experience from beginning til end. I must reiterate once again that the staff were brilliant, but the food was nothing special, it was extremely overpriced, the menu was misleading, basic signage and layout of the restaurant was confusing and unclear. We had only came because our preferred restaurant, Gusto, is temporarily closed but this was a poor choice of alternative and we would not part with our money for this experience again.

Went for lunch with my friend yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it. Great to get out and see my friend for food and a blether. They had a special on as well as A la carte. The special was a main and a non alcoholic cocktail, which we opted for. We both chose Turkey and all the trimmings. It was amazing and the roast potatoes were so crispy ! We then chose Sticky toffee pudding of the main menu, and that just melted in your mouth, so moist, just delicious. The staff were all very friendly and we can’t wait to go back again. Thank you for a lovely afternoon.

En realidad, es muy difícil escribir esta reseña ya que no puedo encontrar las palabras para decir lo increíble que fue nuestro día. . . . . el estrés de la construcción de una pequeña boda covid se desvaneció. . . . . . . desde el momento en que entramos. . . . . . ¡Era como un cuento de hadas! Las velas iluminaban el camino a nuestra habitación (ver fotos) con todo el personal esperándonos (socialmente distanciado, por supuesto). Las flores, las velas, la mesa. . . . . ¡simplemente guau! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! A partir de ese momento, nuestro día fue increíble, el personal fue increíble y la atención al cliente excelente. La comida es increíble, las bebidas fantásticas y todos nos sentimos tan relajados, seguros y felices.El personal hizo que el día de nuestra boda fuera tan especial y nos dio un día que nunca olvidaremos y del que hablaremos en los próximos años. ¡Gracias Tigerlily! ! ! ! ! ¡Lo destrozaste totalmente! ! ! ! ¡Conseguimos una recepción de boda covid que nunca podríamos haber imaginado! ! ! ?

Great restaurant but there was no fish on 8.11.20 when I had lunch. The staff were great and the food was super. It was 2 main dishes for £15!! Overall a wonderful place for lunch

El personal de Tigerlily hizo que mi cumpleaños fuera tan especial. Nos dieron una copa de Prosecco de cortesía a cada uno al llegar, lo cual fue un gesto encantador. Todo el personal fue súper amable, me dio recomendaciones sobre el menú, y los 3 cócteles que tuve fueron deliciosos.El ambiente es animado y muy bien decorado (muy instagramable) que incluye una pared de flores, sofás de terciopelo y letreros de neón.Volvería en un abrir y cerrar de ojos y sin duda lo recomiendo.

Comimos en el restaurante las dos noches de nuestra estancia y la comida era increíble. Los cócteles eran fantásticos, especialmente el frose! El desayuno fue de lejos el mejor que hemos tenido en cualquier hotel y sin duda volveremos. ¡Cada miembro del personal era tan sonriente, educado y amable y no podía hacer más para ayudarnos! Recomiendo encarecidamente este restaurante tanto para comida como para bebidas.

Visité Tigerlily para el brunch con un par de amigos y fue una experiencia fantástica. Aprovechamos la oferta del brunch 35 que, sinceramente, es una de las experiencias con la mejor relación calidad-precio que he tenido. Para empezar, tomamos un delicioso cóctel de fros, 1/2 botella de Prosecco, algunos bocadillos estilo continental y un brunch cada uno. Tuve pollo y gofres como mi plato principal, que fue una combinación fantástica de dulce y salado y bien complementado con el Prosecco. Luego continuamos para probar algunos de los cócteles de Tigerlily que eran igualmente deliciosos; disfrutamos especialmente las virutas de haba tonka en los martinis de espresso, que resaltaron los sabores del café amargo, chocolate oscuro y muy bien. El servicio fue muy atento y amable, ¡estoy seguro de que volveremos pronto!

vino con un amigo, un ambiente increíble, comenzó con un servicio un poco lento ya que nadie vino a tomar nuestro pedido por un rato, pero Blair pronto cambió eso y estuvo muy concentrado durante el resto del tiempo, orden de bebidas y charla ! ¡La habitación para fumadores también es un mega plus!

Bonito lugar, tomaron a Covid en serio con un control de temperatura y una limpieza adecuada, y el servicio fue bueno. La comida también era decente, pero para ser francos, no era lo suficientemente buena como para justificar los altos precios que se pedían. La salsa para el calamar con sal y pimienta era bastante sosa y, aunque el curry verde tailandés sabía bien, apenas tenía pollo y la porción era demasiado pequeña. Además, muy ruidoso. Necesita un área de restaurante separada bien lejos del bar y / o aquellos que solo beben.Como dije, es un buen lugar, pero hay una mejor oferta en docenas de lugares en Edimburgo.

Birthday drinks in tigerlily were brilliant! Staff were really attentive, Martin was especially nice , when my friend mentioned it was my birthday he had two drinks sent over on the house! Was very appreciated and very thoughtful 10/10

Fuimos a almorzar el 25 de septiembre conscientes de las nuevas restricciones de hospitalidad. El personal fue fantástico y acogedor. Nuestra mesera era una chica australiana, no supo su nombre, que fue muy atenta y brindó un servicio impecable. La comida tenía una excelente relación calidad-precio y los 2 platos principales para 15 es una oferta fantástica. Incluso sin música, el ambiente simplemente funciona y es muy recomendable. Venue agregó un bonito toque de cumpleaños a un postre sin que me lo pidieran, lo que para mí solo ayuda a elevarlo por encima de la multitud.

Went for an afternoon tea, easy to find and the inside of the bar/restaurant is lovely. The staff were all attentive and polite, the food was tasty. Managed to go when it was half price food, but would have paid full price as it was good food in a lovely atmosphere. Did not get a chance to tastes any cocktails but they all sounded and looked really good!

staff rushed, food fairly simple and steak not cooked as asked, disappointed considering reputation. Waitresses persistent when trying to take drink orders but slow / non existent to ask how the food is and very quick to clear plates without asking about quality and even faster to deliver bill to the table, disappointing all round, would not recommend. Shame as had some really nice nights here in the past

On spec visit, no problem, taken to table after temp checks. Food was excellent and great service. Social distancing rules adhered to by all.

It was my first time to tigerlily, and it didn’t disappoint. The staff were so nice, nothing was too much for them, especially Kathryn who served us breakfast each morning. She really did go above and beyond to get our food they way we asked. She is a credit to this place, her customer service was amazing. Thank you again. Also a nice wee tip there’s GHDS,s in the room. Which is a great gesture.. thank you Ann&Andy x

We had afternoon tea here and all sandwiches, cakes and scones were extremely nice and very well presented. Definitely recommend

Our concierge at the hotel we were staying at recommended this place. We came one night for drinks, just sitting in the bar people watching. Then two nights later came back for drinks first, then dinner. The bar and restaurant is quirky, set out over a few areas. We sat in a booth for dinner and we found it really relaxing. My husband had pasta with garlic bread, which he enjoyed and I had sea bass which was lovely. My husband had a brownie and cookie pudding which went down very quickly.The staff were very attentive and friendly and we will definitely be booking a table for the end of December.

We took advantage of the extended Eat out deal the hotel are running and came for brunch and so glad we did. The place was busier than previous times we have had breakfast while staying at the hotel so others must have had the same idea but the service was excellent. Our waitress ( didn’t catch her name ) made us feel so welcome and really looked after us and our breakfast was delicious. Coffee is amazing! I would definitely return even without the deal when next in Edinburgh

Been a few times for lunch with friends during the Eat Out scheme and enjoyed it at first but they kept the same menu for all of August and into September ! Not liking fish there was not ma y main courses I liked. For September carrying on their own scheme they have taken off the 3 course lunch so although it lets you have food up to £10 off per person, it is still expensive for lunch. £6.95 for starters and deserts, and mains from £15-18. Staff were lovely.

I’ve been to the Tigerlily for several occasions the last 3 years and every time was a great experience. The place is of the most beautiful I’ve been in my life, the food and the drinks are delicious and the lovely staff are always friendly and helpful. Yesterday I visited for the first time after the COVID crisis and felt very safe in there as they follow all the health and safety measures. Special shoutout to the excellent service we received from Jodie, Erin and Molly as they made sure that we had everything we needed to enjoy our night and all the wonders people at the reception, Orla, Ella, Scott and Taylor for the warm welcome and the good chat! Thanks guys and girls for another great night at Tigerlily!

First visit during a short break to Edinburgh with my daughter. Friendly, welcoming staff who sat us at the bar (socially distanced!). Bar man delivered iced water and said he’d give us time to look at drinks menu before coming back to serve us. Lovely atmosphere with a real mix of ages. Would definitely return!

My boyfriend and I were very disappointed when we visited Tigerlily. We went here expecting to have 2 or 3 drinks each, and we could not even finish one. The reason we booked here is because we had heard good things and saw others visit here - but our experience was not what we wanted. We arrived at 22:00 for our booking and we were sat at an unpleasant table which meant I was watching people walk in and out, instead of facing my boyfriend, which we found very bizarre. The staff were abrupt and unwelcoming, which made us feel like we did not want to be there. We then were not served until 22:20 to order our drinks, that then took another 15 minutes to arrive. Once the drinks arrived we were eager to try them, to then discover they were not enjoyable at all. We thought at £10 a cocktail, they would be amazing - but we were wrong. We didn't even finish our drinks because they did not taste nice at all. So we paid our bill and left the rest of our cocktails and left the bar. Overall, this was an unpleasant experience and we will not be returning, nor will we recommend to others.

Went to Tigerlilly for probably the tenth time this weekend. It is always the best spot to visit when in town for drinks.

Waited 20 minutes for our coffee’s and 50 minutes for breakfast. Food was alright but lucky we were on a eat out to help out day as we wouldn’t of paid full price for what we received.

Came for drinks with my other half and booked a table for two hours. All very hygienic and well organised. We had our temperature checked and shown to our table. Our waitress was wearing a mask and advised us to scan the QR code on the table to see the menu on our phones. Had a beautiful margarita and love gin cocktail. The stunning decor and surroundings make for a decadent and pretty experience. Toilets were very clean and all in all had a lovely time and felt perfectly safe in these current times.

We stopped here for lunch. The staff were very helpful and, even though it was busy and we hadn't booked, found us a really good table in a fairly quiet part of the restaurant. Lots of effort has been put into making the place COVID-secure and the perspex screens between tables don't take much away from the ambience - which is very pleasant, by the way.We ordered drinks - a beer for me and a Bloody Mary for my wife (At lunchtime? Well, we were on holiday...). Actually, she said that it was the best Bloody Mary she's been served anywhere - and we have travelled, so that's not an accolade she gives lightly.So why only two stars? The food, frankly.We chose the Iberico pork katsu sandwich with Dragon mayo, and the chicken and bacon club sandwich. The pork was a rather small sandwich consisting of extremely fatty belly pork and some rather sickly mayo. The contents of the sandwich were very keen to slither out from between the slices of (very ordinary) white bread that they arrived in. My wife couldn't eat it. I felt sorry for her, so I swapped half of my club sandwich . And, yes, I had to agree that the katsu sandwich was pretty nasty. My club sandwich itself wasn't marvellous; it had arrived lukewarm and, again, the bread had little to distinguish it from the sliced loaf you'd find on the nearby Co-op. Ah, well. And then? There was a human hair in the club sandwich. Yes, in these hygiene and cleanliness-dominated times, this expensive, boutique establishment had served up one the sort of greasy-spoon error that has inspectors handing out notices to improve. Naturally, we sent it back. The second attempt was better - it was hot and if there were any more hairs, we didn't find them. We didn't send the pork sandwich back - it was small and unpleasant but we had actually eaten it. But it cost £12.95. I wish I'd taken a picture to share with you, so you could see how little you get for your money. The club sandwich was £10.50.So - lovely looking place, pleasant staff and good drinks - but overpriced and sub-standard food, which you would do well to avoid.

We went for afternoon tea for my wife's birthday. The tea/coffee and cocktails arrived quickly but unfortunately we waited an hour for our food by which time all our drinks were finished. The assortment of sandwiches, scones and cakes were great and the restaurant looks fantastic.

I have been here previously with my partner for food and it was amazing. The service was amazing, and so were the drinks. I went with friends for some drinks and everywhere is distanced with plenty of hand sanitiser, the waiters and bartenders all wear masks (and wear them properly) the drinks were delicious. I have been a bartender in edinburgh pre-corona and the only negative comment is that you can't split the bill between a table without the poor waitress doing a tour de tigerlily to keep going back to the card machine, is there no way to get portable contactless payments to help the waitresses out? She was lovely and deserves a medal for efficient service despite it being full with customers.

Brilliant set up, made us feel safe. The food is now phenomenal and it is due to them having a new head chef, you will not be disappointed. Our server Kathryn was amazing, happy and so attentive. Brilliant experience all round!

@Kathryn was really nice and helped me with my breakfast dilemma and suggested i tried the pancakes with just butter and bacon since i don’t like peaches and almonds. Was a great move, thank you lovely meal X

Here in birthday for lunch with my friend. Its was fab, clean fresh and breezy. Staff were good as was the serve. Food was well presented and the cocktails were great. Would I recommend oh yes. If in George Street it's the place to go.

We booked an early dinner (5.45). Warmly greeted by the girl on the desk just inside the reception and quickly taken to our table which was one of the half-moon booths. The layout of the seating and bar means that you are not really aware of any social-distancing changes as it lends itself to separate spaces anyway. The decor is lovely and there is a great atmosphere. We were served by Millie who is an example of everything waiting staff should be - efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. She seemed to have responsibility for quite a lot of tables but nothing fazed her. The food was lovely too - can recommend roasted cauliflower starter, burger and seafood linguine and the deserts were delicious. Skinny fries were not the best, proper chips please! And as it was midweek we got the government discount too! We will come back to Tiger Lilly and probably stay in the hotel too.

Service was absolutely excellent (waitress was Serena?), social distancing observed all round and a really relaxing evening. Food was delicious, and atmosphere fun. Would definitely return and recommend.

Lovely place for drinks! Was a great atmosphere and busy for a Wednesday night! We got lovely seats and all of the staff were wearing masks. We viewed the menu online on our phones which we didn’t mind. I got three cocktails that came to £26 (not sure if that’s overpriced) but it was a special occasion. The cocktails were lovely and they had a great selection! Definitely will be back, can’t comment on the food as I didn’t have any.

A beautiful venue, with very friendly staff. Very obvious that great lengths have been taken to distance tables, keep things clean and keep all guests safe. Service was a little slow but given the circumstances, it’s absolutely not a problem and we were happy to sit and chat. Negative reviews clearly have little to no understanding that there’s a global pandemic happening. Thanks for looking after us. Good job guys.

We came in for cocktails on the evening of July 26th and sat down and were served when we stopped a passing waitress after about 10/15 minutes. The espresso martini and water that we ordered had still not arrived after another 20 minutes, and when a different member of staff came over to ask if we had even ordered any drinks, we decided it was best to leave it and went back to our hotel next door. We came to give Tigerlily another chance the following evening, as it seemed like such a beautifully decorated bar with lots of staff available to help you and some beautiful seating areas, and it was very close to our hotel, which is fantastic and we will certainly be staying at again. We were greeted by a woman who seemed somewhat sympathetic of our negative experience (although she did not apologise) the previous evening, but did then not communicate that to the member of staff who took us through.I tried to again explain to him our experience from the previous night and asked if we might be able to sit in the sofa-booth area with fairy lights, but he talked over me and pointed to the same seats we had sat in the evening before. We sat down and waited. Waiters passed our table many times, always telling us that they would send someone over. We saw groups of staff members standing and chatting, and even a waitress by the bar applying her lip gloss and having a rather physical moment with her apparent boyfriend, who had stopped in for a drink, or was a chef having finished his shift. Anyway, we were finally served when I went over to the bar and asked if it was table service only, after about 15 minutes of arriving. The manager I mentioned previously then came straight over to our table, and asked rather angrily “Are you guys okay?” When I responded saying that we hadn’t been served still, he said something along the lines of “I’ve literally just seen yous come in 5 minutes ago, you need to give us a chance! Things are a lot slower at the moment due to the virus and you’re going to need to be patient.” I understand the essence of what you was trying to get across, but this the way this was delivered simply speaks for itself. We waited another 10 minutes for our espresso martini and water, which were great, but perhaps not worth the argument they we served with. We asked for the bill and waited... another 10 minutes passed and surprise surprise, nothing. When we got up to leave, we were stopped at the door by the manager, and asked to pay full price for this very disappointing and overall quite embarrassing set of experiences.I don’t have much more to say, but I hope that no one else experiences anything like this, although from reading a few reviews, it seems like they may have.

Lovely welcome from staff on arrival and helpfully shown to our table. Very well laid out with excellent social distancing. Just reopened and very busy. Obviously the staff are still trying to adapt but doing a good job. A very busy place, a good sign. Delicious fresh sandwiches and tasty scone and cakes. Claudia very pleasant. A most enjoyable afternoon tea. Would love to be able to give 4 and a half stars.

We live coming here for cocktails, the bar staff are always lovely, friendly and helpful. They make all the difference. Kudos goes to Tyler did this very reason

Every time we visit Edinburgh we visit Tigerlily as the food is amazing with outstanding service every time. I would recommend you pre book as it’s very busy but so worth it.

The food, service and atmosphere were fantastic at Tigerlilly. We both had the “3 little pigs” pork main meal and it was Michelin star standard. They have a good selection of craft beers and cock tails. For 2 starters, 2 mains and drinks, we spent £70 including a tip. Would recommend Tigerlilly when visiting Edinburgh.

Stunning venue for both drinks and food. There is a £15 menu with 2 courses which I well worth the money. Plenty of choices as well. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I had chicken Caesar croquettes as a starter which I have never had before, they were amazing. Definitely be back

I have a couple of issues of the last 2 weeks with Tiger Lilly. I purchased a gift voucher on the 20/02/20 for a friend who got married in the 21/02/20 I would still waiting on that gift voucher if I had not went personally into Tiger Lilly on the 28/02/20 to collect the gift voucher the 3rd party company who deals the gift vouchers have yet to send the voucher depict the 3 phones calls later. Ordered a couple of cocktails from the very harassed bar staff to in sit very run down and holy couch. Very disappointed especially when to pay £38 for 4 average drinks xx

We visited at lunchtime and took advantage of the 2 for £15 offer. The food was good and staff friendly and helpful. We had fish and chips and a burger, both tasty and enjoyable. Great value.

Staff and team couldn’t have been more helpful. Had to cancel our original booking for valentines due to my partner being unwell and the team happily accommodated and found us space the next day. The food was delicious and unique, whilst the drinks were also amazing. Service was lovely throughout and all the staff were brilliant.

Such a shame, lovely staff, good service and a very small choice of food, which is less than good.The management need to look at serving decent food, instead of a mix up of flavours that don't excite the palette, let alone fill you up. Oh and cold. Won't be back

Stopped for a quick bite to eat, what an amazing decor. Really funky interior, service was quick and attentive. Order the haggis and a beer. Food was well presented and really tasty. Great music playing - wished I was with a larger party as you could easy spend the entire evening herre

I have such fabulous memories of this bar from my hen party so I couldn’t wait to take my husband here when we were in Edinburgh for my 30th birthday celebrations...and he loved it just as much as me!!!

Could’ve been much more enjoyable had our hot breakfast not be cold..again. We love Tigerlily but perhaps not for breakfast.

Decided to take advantage of the 50% off offer in January. Table at the back sadly with the worst view, always seem to end up in this section. Ordered yellow lentil Dahl with coconut rice ball and it was not the best in flavour but with a little salt and pepper it made it more palatable. Had fish and chips and can't complain, quite tasty. Mix up with the chips as hubby ordered skinny fries and my dish is served normally with hand cut. Mine were tasty but skinny fries were bland. I ordered toffee apple flan with ice cream and it was delicious. Had a prosecco which was very nice indeed. Wouldn't rush back as the bill would have been £100, we paid £50. Hubby said his meal was ok. What I would say was fantastic was our service, the girl was bright, friendly, courteous, not invasive but clearly cared with her little suggestions and gestures. Pity I didn't get her name

Very buzzy, glam bistro/bar and the food was good.REAL chips for a change - none of your already cut, frozen offerings relied upon by too many places these days.Should be banned!

Me & my husband where in Edinburgh for a few nights inbetween Christmas and New Year and we visited Tigerlily for an evening meal on a Saturday evening and had a lovely meal. I had pre-booked and it was very busy in there. The restaurant is lovely and it was a good atmosphere. The particular burger we wanted was all sold out but the alternative we had was fine and we ordered a side dish which was late arriving so we had this free. I would definitely recommend this restaurant but it was busy so may be worth booking especially at a weekend.

Came here on the 50% off deal so was happy but would otherwise probably be disappointed with the food at the full price. Food is nice but nothing special, except for the salted caramel ice cream which was delicious. Burger was quite dry, but chips were good.

Having visited my home town 8 years ago when I came up from Devon to watch the "Auld Enemy" play Scotland at Murrayfield we were taken to Tigerlily's during our stay, for lunch. I fell in love with Tigerlily's and was only too pleased to recommend it to everyone that I met.Oh!, I meant to say also how much everyone enjoyed their lunch that day. That was back then. 4 of us went for afternoon tea during our recent Hogmany visit 2019 - 2020. Let me start by saying that the food and service was excellent and none of us could fault either of those. But. we found that the area that we were sat in, the seating was stained and torn, in fact some of the surface of the seating was missing. On the seating front, we found that the large chairs in front of a lovely large coal fire near the entrance were also showing some obvious staining,

This is the second time I have come here to celebrate my birthday. I love the decor and the staff were very friendly. I had the salt and pepper squid to start which was okay but nothing special, the sauce could be improved. I had the tofu ramen which was not very good however my friends all had burgers which were amazing. The waitress made sure we had everything we needed and we all enjoyed some lovely drinks.

We have been popping in every January for cocktails. Sadly it will be the last. We're both under the impression that it's living on it's reputation. The cocktails were full of sugar syrup and horrible. I had to go to the gents. Disgusting!!!!! It stank of pee, and the floor was sailing in it. Not acceptable. Please... Get a grip....

Si on pouvait dissocier le bar du restaurant je mettrai 5 étoiles au bar et 3 étoiles au restaurant. Le bar est super beau, il y a en plus 2 pièces magnifiques à côté pour siroter un cocktail, ça vaut vraiment le coup d'y aller. Le restaurant nous a un peu plus déçu, nous y avons été pour nouvel an, le service était moyen, les serveurs étaient débordés. Après ça reste un endroit très joli et le repas était bon. Par contre, c'était très cher, nous en avons eu pour plus de 250 € pour deux personnes pour deux coupes de champagne et deux verres de vin et pour 5 courses dont le fromage que nous n'avons pas pris car il a été amené après le dessert ... Ce qui n'a pas de sens !

This was totally awesome, just walked in. Service excellent, staff interacted with customers. Food was amazing as was the drinks. Everything was very tasty looked amazing in the presentation. So worth a look if your passing by.

Visited for a sharing platter and a cocktail each bought new through Itison.com. Not impressed at all. Very sparse and felt the bulk of it made up with bread and bland Mozzarella. Been twice before for the same and enjoyed. Never again. Couldn't fault the staff though.

popped in during a cold fish wintry afternoon. The bar area and restaurant were very busy, Christmas time, so we sat in the small area by the cosy fire in lovely comfy chairs. Waitress took our drinks order and we then had a snack. It has a lovely friendly air about the place and our waitress was smiley and friendly and helpful. you wouldn't have known it was her first day there! Will definitely return on future trip and maybe eat in the main restaurant which looked very nice.

My family and I (12 of us) had a fantastic time at Tigerlilly. They put us in the library room and it was perfect. Great food and decor in the restaurant. The waitress was lovely and was very professional. Would go back again.

Good atmosphere and drinks were decent, enjoyed food and would definitely re visit . It wasn’t too busy so we got served fast. Music wasn’t too loud so we could talk without shouting.

Bar staff have the wrong attitude to clients . The ambience is to present a bar of a higher level of service . This isnt actually the case . Need to improve this

We visited for food the night before my friends hen party as we waited for everyone else to arrive on edinburgh. I have been before but my friend hadn’t and it didn’t disappoint! The decor is amazing and it felt extremely Christmassy. We had to book well in advance (it was Xmas after all!) and we had to eat off the Christmas menu which restricted choices (again though it was Christmas!) but they made a special effort of my friend and made her feel very special! Xxx

This was our first stop for brunch upon arriving in Edinburgh for the weekend after seeing it highly recommended. No problems with getting us seated as a walk-in (party of 3) which I was pleased with as we usually like to book in advance.

We’ve been to Tigerlily about three times before and everything was fine, which is why I am so surprised by how terrible our most recent experience was.

I have been to Tigerlily a few times and the service is always excellent. However this time something just wasn’t right.

We visited tigerlily for 3 course Xmas Dinner, I can really say I felt rushed when deciding what we wanted to order from the Xmas menu, especially the drinks, when handed a menu I would not have expected the waitress to stand over us while deciding on a cocktail because they are that many. I cannot say the food was great for a Xmas lunch (turkey dinner) , it was just average to say the least for the price and to add a discretionary 12% onto the overall bill was a insult, after its states on the Web this would be off drinks.... I won't be visiting this venue again as I feel they are a lot more places to visit what would be more accomadting for time rather than rush in and waitress saying "you have 2 hours".

A large group of about 50 people came here on a Saturday night (just before Christmas) for a works night out. We had all prepaid for a 3 course meal. No pre orders were taken so the orders were taken from the table on the night.

We booked the Tigerlilly hotel for 2 nights in a suite to celebrate my partners 50th birthday. I have to say the hotel is stunning and worth every penny. The hotel is also very well placed to get around Edinburgh and see the sights - a fantastic venue!!

We had a pleasant time at Tigetlily. It was busy and quite difficult to find somewhere to sit but eventually managed. It has tasteful decor and a nice atmosphere. Cocktails are quite pricey but nice for a treat.

Not sure what to say. Wednesday at 2pm meant that my friend and me could not enter due to being too busy. We were shown to the bar nearest the door. One girl serving. Left after 20 mins of waiting. Not much else to say.

I came here this morning with my girl to celebrate her 8th Birthday and I could not express how amazing the staff and food was!! Especially the gentleman who served us which unfortunately I did not get his name but he had dark hair and glasses. He made my girl feel so special and happy today so thank you !! Can not fault Tiger Lilly’s one bit, the decor was amazing, staff was fantastic and the food was excellent!! Thank you to all who made my girls day and mine of course!!

Had a lovely meal but service very slow. 5 of us ate and although the meal was lovely, it was quite expensive for what we got and the service was really slow.

Always a must to visit Tiger Lily for lunch. Sit at the beautiful bar and have an aperitif and then be met by the best Front of House lady you will ever meet (sorry we didn't catch your name!). The welcome is amazing as is the environment - you need to visit to get what I mean... As for the food... amazing.

Decor is still lovely but value for money isn’t great, average food and slow service. Was also overcharged for the wine and one of the meal prices was slightly higher on the bill than the menus provided.

We visited Tiger Lily for lunch on the first Sunday in December.

Sadly, this was not a good choice for Christmas food. We visited last night and some food (turkey) was not cooked properly. Very, very disappointed. Also, 12% service charge put on bill automatically. I would not recommend, sorry.

Great for cocktails as per usual,once you get served! To many of the male staff only interested in serving female customers!! Annoying!!!!!!!

I visited Tigerlily with a friend on a Saturday afternoon. I was served quite quickly at the bar the first time I went up. The next time however I had to wait for 25 minutes to get served. There seemed to be a lot of waiting staff but only 2 bartenders struggling to cope with the demand. A few more bodies would have made all the difference.

Visited on a busy Saturday lunchtime chancing being able to get a table as not booked... 1 table available!! Result!

Been coming to Tiger Lily for years and can honestly say the quality and service have been consistent on each occasion. Don’t usually do trip advisor but just felt it’s about time I showed my appreciation to these guys..Jules always greets you with a friendly happy face and that’s one of the reasons we return, always made to feel so welcome.

We came here on our last day of our visit to Edinburgh but if I had of known of this place I would have been here every night. Cocktails were amazing and were at a reasonable price and the bar looked amazing. There is very good places to get photos if your a girl. The staff here were super friendly they wouldn't know your name when you went in and knew it by the time you were leaving. The food here was super nice also their steak is to die for!

Returned to Tigerlily as we are always very happy with the food, atmosphere and service at Tigerlily.

Had an excellent lunch with a few good friends.

Wife went with pals. Aweful experience. The gluten free meal had gluten in it and she was ill afterwards. Emailed them, didnt reply. BUYER BEWARE

So, our group of 15 visited this place last night. Very good surroundings with a warm atmosphere. Service was very efficient and attentive. Food was well presented and prepared to a high standard. Good size portions that were appreciated by all. All of our group members finished everything with no complaints or negatives whatsoever. Would highly recommend and will definitely return. Well done.

This is our second visit which was just as good as the first. Staff are very pleasant and helpful.

I booked a booth for 7 people for 7pm cocktails, so I could be at a restaurant for my 50th birthday dinner celebrations at 8pm. I figured I could get two cocktails in.... I arrived at 6.50pm, waited for a booth which turned out to be just a round table. Had to find a waitress to place a cocktail order. The service was so slow, we had our drinks (after chasing) at 7.25pm.

Stopped over for a couple of drinks on Sat night. Young crowd, odd music, dull atmosphere unless your under the influence and enjoy just anything.

I was at The TigerLilly with my Mum for a girly meal and wine which was gorgeous! The food was lovely and served very quickly! Special shoutout to our waitress Anna who was fabulous! Anna made us feel very welcome and was just generally lovely! Thank you very much for the lovely time! Highly recommend!

Great venue, great atmosphere, just don’t want or expect to be served quickly. Ten minutes plus wait is standard and all the while 6 or 7 staff will walk past you and ignore you.

Went here on a Thursday night and sat at the front bar. Fancied some no fuss, know what your getting cocktails. Edinburgh know how to do amazing cocktails but sometimes you want to know what you’re ordering. Brilliant service, knowledgeable member of bar staff, felt you could ask him what things were without a fuss! Even made a cocktail which wasn’t on the list for my husband. Great service.

We stopped here after dinner for drinks and desert. Loved the fall decor and ambience! The furnishings and details on the lights and walls was like stepping in to a little fairy world! Love it so much!! Would defiantly recommend!
