Very nice town pub. Good service.

Needed to stop for a toilet after a slow drive from Salisbury. It wasn't officially open but the landlord let us use the facilities before we ordered drinks when open. Everything very clean attractive menu and a good choice of drinks. Will be back again when visiting Romsey. Much better than any high St public house.

Poped in for a quick pint of local ale whilst on the Romsey Heritage Trail. Nice local. No food this time for us.

We visited for a family meal, staff were very friendly. Food was lovely, great portions. Happily changed my little girls pasta when she wasn't keen. (Nothing wrong with it 🙂) We stuggled getting cabs back to our hotel, but staff were really helpful getting numbers for us. I believe we were served largely by Rob. Great service!

Absolutely outstanding food. Probably the best I've had in a long time. Only 10mins from Paultons Park. Very accommodating for our children 1 and 3 years. The tagliatelle with extra cheese went down a storm ✌🏻

Met up with in-laws for lunch. Never been to the Three Tuns but went on reviews given. Food great, especially the roast beef with all the trimmings 😋😋. Staff very pleasant and service great. Definitely will return.

First time visiting Three Tuns. Met in laws for lunch. I'd call it more of a traditional pub from first impressions. Great selection of beers and wine and all the usual selection of drinks. 3 of us had Sunday roast beef with the usual trimmings whilst the other had roast chicken. The beef was to die for, and the vegetables were cooked just right, and Yorkshire pudding was nice and crispy 😋. The service was excellent. It was busy but not too busy as people came in in a steady flow. Definitely going back as it's a great meeting point for us as it's about halfway for both couples.

June 2024 Okay before I say anything it's good food, but I'm home and hungry. I enjoyed a tiny portion of salt baked beetroot, really tasty but truly tiny and not cheap. I then had the gnocchi, I counted 5 bits of it, again tasty but not filling, I should have ordered some bread I suppose. I saw the fish and chips go out, huge! So I think it may be what you order that determines the size. The rest of my party were happy with the mains, slightly disappointed with starters. Two things that really annoy me, I'm not a guy please stop calling me "guy, drives me bonkers. I get it's being friendly but it's annoying calling women a man! And I'm a vegetarian not vegan, I miss a meal without everything missing! But the staff are friendly, the food really nice (not cheap and sometimes small portions) and nice outside and in. We didn't have pudding and didn't see the choices so I can't comment on them. I've come home to have something here with a coffee. 2022 We used to really enjoy this pub but on our last visit we were told they stopped serving food at 5pm, it was a Sunday! We had to move on so I can't say how good it is now. My advice is to book ahead and plan, really not a spur of the moment place now as it is very popular. Serving times are normally up to 9pm on all other nights but Sunday so don't get caught out. Last time we ate there it was really good and, of course, great beer/cider, and wine. Well worth being better organised than us and booking ahead, Romsey is still not a "let's just go out to eat" Town and if you have a destination in mind call and check!

Met up with family here on Saturday for dinner along with our little Shih Tzu dog. 6 of us in total. We had a nice round table in the bar window. What a lovely, relaxed and fabulously cooked meal we had. There's a good chef here! Great 'normal' pub food without the pretentious food and silly prices of many other eateries. Super atmosphere, friendly staff, and only wished we lived closer. Newcastle on Tyne is a bit too far for an evening out! Thank you all! 😊😊

4 adults for dinner on a Friday night. Busy so do book a table. 4 x starters and 4 x mains plus a bottle of lower priced wine - £180. Decent service, food was fine but no real wow factor, noone left feeling 'That was really good'. Seemed all a little complacent as its a busy place and the care factor may be waning a little.

Friendly welcome, great food with knowledge of gluten free. The truffle fries are a must. Will definitely visit again.

The food was excellent; familiar items but with a fun twist on most of them. Well prepared and great service. Also excellent beers on tap. The local bitter was awesome.

Fantastic country pub vibe in Romsey itself. Really good pub grub menu, great drinks choice and friendly, helpful staff. The trout dish was excellent, as well as the burger. Dog friendly. Outside seating too on a sunny day. Really enjoyed our visit. Thanks!

Ate here twice on our 3 day break. Couldn't fault a thing. Good beer, great food and lovely staff. Gets packed, so book if you want to eat. The crowds add to the atmosphere. Very cosy and quaint.

One of our local pubs and it always has a welcoming atmosphere. Staff are always cheerful and it has something for everyone. Old style feel but menu and wine list are good and a good selection of real ales and lager. Garden is lovely in summer and has a warm fire in the bar in winter.

We booked an early lunch at The Three Tuns as had eaten there before. We arrived at 1200 and was shown to our table by Lizzy. The special Lamb pie sounded delicious so that was both our main course choice. The food was brilliant service fantastic and Lizzy a lovely attentive sever, she was funny, personable, and respectful, a sheer delight. I hope the management recognises her customer focus and potential. Thank you, the Three Tuns, for a lovely lunch and a big thank you to Lizzy for the fun and laughter. G & S, the lottery winners 😉

Friendly helpful staff and the food was first class. (the beef and mushroom pie was epic). Dogs welcome but not in the restaurant so let them know if when you book and they’ll find you a table in the bar.

Enjoyed our meal but, at our lunchtime visit, the restaurant was very cold, maybe because its an old building? We noticed the tables by the fire were reserved. The pear and ginger sponge cake was to die for: fantastic flavour with quite a dense, sticky consistency. Delicious.

Food was very good, I had the beef & mushroom pie, the filling and pastry was lovely.

A lovely pub with excellent food. We received a really warm welcome at the bar and, once we were seated for our (excellent) lunch, we were beautifully looked after by James who combined humour with efficiency. Would happily return when we are next in the area.

The best Beef pie I have ever had. The Christmasy atmosphere and the warmth from the fireplace made it cozy and characterful. They were nice enough to accommodate 5 adults, 2 kids and a dog. Highly recommended.

We had Sunday roast this Sunday and it was excellent, even had crispy roast potatoes! Could not fault it, even had a good selection of real ales and is dog friendly.

Went in on a saturday with friends who had chosen it, we had never been before but we'll definitely be coming back. B&S Scotch Egg and the Duck were particularly good! Great food, friendly staff and good layout for eating or drinking only.

First time at the venue, definitely popular however not the best Sunday roast I have had. Beef tasteless, Yorkshire pudding overcooked and dry. Good portion of vegetables.

Went there last night for the first time. The place was packed until the final bell and it's not hard to see why. The space is old and traditional, warm and welcoming. It was quite obvious that the staff believe in their pub; the service was very good and the host and servers mostly all made the effort for personal contact that felt in no way strained or insincere. The highlight was the food. Some of the best food I've had in a long time, and my group agreed wholeheartedly. I had the wood pigeon pastrami and the beef pie. No words to describe how good, except to say I ate slowly to savour every bite. At the table, high applause for the regular AND the gluten free fish & chips, and the braised beef bonbon. The only issue is lack of parking, which can't be helped, but I would be happy to walk from Romsey town centre in the pouring rain to sit by the fire at The Three Tuns and enjoy the food. Highly recommend.

Had a lovely lunch here yesterday. Lovely cosy atmosphere with the fire going which we were sat right next to. Service was friendly and food arrived quickly. Food was tasty and good value, although the menu said our pie would come with sautéed potatoes but think they were just boiled. Still a lovely meal but was expecting something slightly different! Lovely ales on tap too!

Had a lunch on Sunday 1st Oct as part of a group of eight. The service was second to none, and the food was prompt and very tasty. Nothing was too much trouble even though the staff were very busy that day.

Came here for a Sunday roast and it’s the best pub roast I’ve had in a long time! Staff were super friendly and efficient, food was tasty and portion sizes were perfect. They even offered our dogs a bowl of beef off cuttings which was a lovely extra touch. Price is very reasonable for a Sunday roast, we had a 3 course meal and a couple of alcoholic drinks for under £40 per person Would definitely recommend and we will be returning!!

A dịdnae see a sịngle 'Tun', le' alone three o' them, but me an' ma pals stịll had a nịce tịme. Eatịng here made me feel stronger.

Good, nicely presented food, great draught beer, very friendly service and a lovely overall atmosphere. The garden looked very pleasant but unfortunately has the bypass running just behind it. Would definitely go again if staying in Romsey though, seems like the nicest pub here.

First time we have been in here we had a nut roast while other family members had a meat roast all very nice ,especially as it was so very busy but we didn't have to wait very long indeed ,so very well done the team in there ,

Small car park at rear of pub accessible from main road, otherwise be prepared to walk to a car park 5min. Away. However it is well worth it. Great food, beer and atmosphere.

It is a little pricey but the quality makes it worth the extra few £ that you'd normally pay. Staff are friendly and attentive. Nice country style vibe in the pub. Had an evening meal at the Three Tuns last night and it was DELICIOUS. Couldn’t fault it. Staff were lovely and friendly, great atmosphere, the pie was gorgeous, the celeriac purée with the tasty duck was out of this world and the venison stew was very flavoursome. Would definitely recommend!

What beautiful and quaint little pub. I loved it! The staff are very friendly, the service is great and the atmosphere is perfect for catch up. The carpark is a tad short of spaces; however, there is plenty of street parking along the roadside. I'd definitely recommend popping in for a pint.
