Lovely family run Italian restaurant. Food is fantastic with delicious home made Pizza & pasta dishes. I ordered the Spaghetti Putanesca which is quite a hard dish to get right. It was spot on, really fresh delicious ingredients. Would highly recommend. Family friendly, also do takeaway.

Went for a meal with family very recently and the food was gorgeous. Very friendly and accommodating staff who made us feel really welcome! We don't live in the area, but will certainly be back when we are down next.

Our second visit in a couple of months and a late booking which was welcomed. We ate different pasta dishes for the first time which were filling and full of flavour (I tend to go for their pizzas because they’re always good). Service and atmosphere was good and its always such a lovely local place to go

Chips are really good, glad the menu has changed from offering parmesan cheese as suitable for vegetarians. New menu choice not great if you are veggie and a lot of sections on pizza had caught, so was overdone for my liking and had to leave burnt bits to one side

Sat and dined al fresco last night outside @theyardpizzacowbridge a lovely little find on the high street. All the food was fresh and the service was fantastic. The sunshine made it feel like sitting outside a pizzeria in Rome! We had the Garlic dough sticks which were full of a pungent garlic flavour that smashed you in the face on these crispy little slices of dough. We also tried the arancini, but these were sadly not as good, they were very crispy but the mixture inside was very wet and mushy, still full of flavour and presented perfectly leaving us slightly underwhelmed. The pizza dough was fresh and crispy whilst still doughy at the same time, and the toppings were all high quality and again full of flavour, my only negative would be the sauce was a bit runny for my liking. Will return for another visit as overall the food was fantastic and less than £40 well worth it. Food Quality - ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Value for money - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Overall Experience - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

If you’re coeliac I wouldn’t recommend it. They’re using the same oven for pizza containing gluten, so I decided to go for a gluten free pasta instead for my 3 years old. She’s now lying on the floor and crying complaining about the tummy. She’s been sick 3 times. I’ve never seen her like that since diagnosed.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at the Yard. Having attentive and pleasant staff really helps, we didn't feel rushed at any point and were allowed to enjoy the great food. Tip, the cheesy garlic bread is a winner.

I absolutely love visiting the Yard in Cowbridge, Emily & Co are always so welcoming, attentive and the relaxed environment makes for a really enjoyable evening. The pizzas are to die for, the dough is cooked to perfection and made in house, which is a rarity these days. The pasta dishes are delectable, rich, and packed with fresh ingredients served piping hot. If you’re looking for an evening of fun packed with gastronomical delights, look no further than this fabulous venue! 5 Stars!

I can’t rate this restaurant highly enough. The interior has a lovely feel to it, the staff were really kind and helpful and the food was delicious. The mushrooms on toast to start was incredible.

Delicious pizza! An interesting menu with loads to choose from. Dogs are welcome in the front area and outside. The vibe is relaxed (went at lunch time) but still feels quite upmarket. A little bit expensive but as expected for the location.

Over from Germany and visiting Cowbridge with my family, we popped into this amazing place for a coffee and soft drinks. The staff were very friendly, and made us feel very welcome. The coffee was great, the seats were comfortably, and the mood was cosy. If we had had more time, we would have stayed for lunch.

Another Fabulous evening at The Yard, always a warm welcome, so friendly. The food was delicious and always a great atmosphere. We will be back 👍

Our experience of The Yard was OK. Our party arrived at two different times but on both occasions we were pointed in the general direction of the table by the staff rather than being shown to the table which seemed a bit odd. The food itself was nice, we each ordered pizza, but the service was slow and we had to wait a while to pay despite having the bill and trying to get the attention of the staff standing at the bar. Only when we stood up to go and get someone did someone else come over so we could pay.

Went for lunch on a Thursday lunchtime (wedding anniversary as it happens). Nice relaxed ambience inside. Waitresses were helpful and not in your face. We had the sandwich, which is a flatbread (using pizza dough) which is split and filled with ham, salad, mozzarella etc, and comes with chips, plus a salad. We shared the two dishes and had a medium glass of rosé each. I had an espresso to finish. Portion sizes were more than enough for lunch. I'd like to try their pizzas in the evening, as the bread for the sandwich was terrific.

Smashing family run business on the Cowbridge High Street where there is many a discerning customer. The quality is consistently high, service is very good and the restaurant is nicely assembled. My favourite is the tarragon chicken pasta - although with five or so visits under my belt, every visit has been worthwhile. Pleased to recommend this place to anyone.

Popped in today on an impromptu visit. Excellent pizza! So full of flavour & dough was fantastic. Will certainly visit again. Casual & friendly dining too.

Staff were most amazing service was friendly and helpful and very attentive, the food was very tasty and fresh, can't recommend this place enough , great venue for family gatherings or simply just a romantic date and even eating alone! 10 stars if I could give them

The best pizza I've ever had ! I had the good shepard 2.0 with no black olives and it was delicious. I loved the different sauce, a nice change from tomato base. The service was quick and friendly and the side dishes were lovely too. Cant wait to return !

Shopping in Cowbridge and looking for somewhere to grab a bite to eat. My wife is gluten free so not always an easy find. They were welcoming and assured us that it wouldn't be a problem as the do gf pizza bases and a number of the other meals are gf. My wife decided on the chicken in a creamy tarragon sauce which she was over the moon with, while I had the beef lasagne which was equally tasty. Will definitely be back!

Very rude staff and slow service ,the pizza has little to none mozzarella and the lasagna was burnt and tasted bland also the staff were popping rude jokes about us and made us feel uncomfortable and not wanted if you want a good quality pizza you’re better off ordering dominoes

I've just had a superb takeaway 'tongue twister' pizza for my lunch - I highly recommend (coffee also excellent).

Food was delicious, I've been twice in a week now. The salads were so tasty and the bread tasted so fresh. Staff were very friendly. I can't wait to go again to try their pizzas.

I really enjoyed my pizza but there was a bit too much cheese (even for a cheese lover) and there was a ring of raw dough between the crust and where the sauce and cheese began. It was also quite undercooked so I had to finish it off in the oven myself at home. The most disappointing thing was the garlic pizza bread that completely lacked garlic butter and had far too many herbs sprinkled on top which made it taste very strange, leafy and dry. The dough for the garlic bread was also too thin so was very overcooked and crunchy as a result. Not sure I would visit again unless this was just a fluke.

Our first visit. The food was tasty and reasonably priced. Two good cups of tea from a pot, so more than acceptable. We really have no fault to find. Menu was adequate, rather than extensive. Five stars from us.

The reason for the low score was the length of time it took for our food to arrive. In fact we were getting ready to walk when the waitress noticed us getting restless and offered to chase it up. Since it took a further 10 minutes to arrive, I'm guessing our order was forgotten or lost.

A really lovely place to eat pizza in! Cowbridge is a wonderful little town.The staff here were exceptionally pleasant and helpful. Would highly recommend a visit!

We were in Cowbridge for the food and drink festival and it was so busy everywhere. We stumbled across The Yard and there were people sat outside and it had a good look so we went in. The staff greeted us immediately and told us there was a table becoming available outside shortly, so we were able to enjoy the sun which was lovely. We had drinks and snacks which were all lovely. It was a really nice visit and we’ll definitely go back again in the future!

One of the best pizza's we've ever tasted! My partner who's from Chicago was even impressed & he knows a good pizza! Lol. Amazing staff, who couldn't do enough for us. Warm, friendly atmosphere & great prices. Thanks for helping make my partner's Birthday treat with the family a great one.

We had our son's 6th birthday party here, and I have to say it was a wonderful experience. Staff went above and beyond to make it an unforgettable event and the pizza was about as authentic as you can get. Can't recommend more.
