Only went to see the singer / guitarist. Wasn't disappointed. We will return and recommend to others. Bar staff were very efficient, SA beer was superb.

Went on Sunday afternoon to watch a nice live solo performer. Landlord was happy and very helpful. Recommen it

First time visiting this pub I was very impressed by the atmosphere and live music on the weekend. staff friendly and chatty, will definitely be visiting the first weekend of august.

Popped in on the weekend, great little clean pub with a fantastic atmosphere especially with the sport being on, great prices too!! 😁 even stayed for the band which was outstanding and the staff made us feel very welcome as was there all day

Great friendly pub, with a great atmosphere and a lovely ethos. The Albion is in a great location. Bartenders are very friendly and efficient. Fantastic bands on a Saturday night. Big well done to Lianne and all the staff for working so hard and bringing this pub back up to its full potential

When I've been to listen to a band it's always been good, great atmosphere and good staff. I've only given two stars because it is so frustrating trying to find out which band is playing. Facebook not updated each week and phoning very hit or miss.

Lovely to see this fabulous pub back on its feet, great service , outstanding music venue awesome bands. Staff are very welcoming, New management have clearly turned this fabulous venue around.

Great music venue, spotless and great service

Cheaper now the new people are running it, and you get a smile now instead of a snarl. Update: The beer prices are now competitive but house wine by the glass is way overpriced. Over £5 for a medium glass of Pinot doesn't stack up.

Far better than most pubs. Less rip offs than other pubs. Great service. Great price. Left my local bc they ripped me off due to new management. £1 4 pool and £1 4 5 tunes on the jukebox. Awesome staff. This will be my new local I think.

Served Brains beer so stayed for a drink. No hot drinks available though on a cold day. No kitchen so drinks only.Very basic pub but clean, landlady friendly enough

Arrived Saturday about 10.45pm to listen to music, unfortunately it finished at 11pm. What we did hear was good. Nice full pub, lucky found a seat and sat with friends for an hour. Service was good.

Just a quick thumbs up for The Albion Pub. Went to a gig there last night “The Hiraeth” band. Very good band. Atmosphere was really good. Nick the Landlord is a really nice gentleman whom I talked with. Thanks for booking of all the music acts Nick, you’re very good to do that. All the best. I will definitely go there again.

A fantastic pub in Penarth which frequently has live music . Peter the barman provides great friendly service and makes awesome cocktails. The locals are also friendly which all adds up to a wonderful atmosphere and an awesome night out .

Good pub, goid range of draught beers. Friendly staff. Regular live music. Great for a dance and sing-a-long.

Best live music around, the occasional kidnapping and a partridge in a pear tree. A pubs a pub, but this is one of the last good ones. I cant speak for the food because I've never had it, but the atmosphere is always tidy, the managers a nice guy and its not far from other pubs, which is good if you wanna get totally lashed. Can't go wrong. 5 stars.

Great beer. Great atmosphere. Lovely local people. Always go and sit on my own in corner and get no trouble. Even on a quiet evening a pleasure to relax there. A good band on this Saturday.

Great pub. Friendly staff. Quality of beer is good. They have live music usually every week and some of the bands have been truly epic. When busy the atmosphere is seriously fantastic. We also like popping in when it is quieter for a sneaky pint. Overall, great place.

Not a terrible pub, everything is fairly priced but be prepared to wait when it’s busy (when theres a band on) by all accounts the landlord would rather stand around than get his hands dirty.

Had a great time at the midweek comedy night at The Albion. Mike Bubbins, the star turn, was hilarious. Admittedly my late 40s friends and I were target demographics but there was a lot there for everyone. Patchy support acts, with one in particular to my taste, is par for the course but everyone had some good stuff to contribute to a really good midweek night out. Keep it going The Albion. Cheers.

This Public house centre of Penarth has had a more than a face lift. Certainly a younger feel to it. Yet comfortable areas for older ones. Consistantly Good Guiness. They keep their beer pipes clean. Good sign of good management.. care about the cystomer..

This old haunt attracts a lively crowd on the weekend, & when the footy or rugby is on. The Albion has changed & evolved with the times over the years, it was my late father's local for a good number of years back in the late 70's. It's popular with locals still, & attracts all walks of life & a great atmosphere.

Shame the band was cancelled spoilt it for a number of people

Very friendly pub with free live music on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. Pub has had a complete refurbishment as of October 2017. Lots of great changes, with the addition of bar food. Unfortunately even on less busy occasions, the bar staff are unable to cope with demand. Perhaps poor performance will be so annoying that eventually customers will decrease to the point that the staff can cope!

Disappointed. Refeb does not create friendly environment. Staff look as if it is an effort just to be here. Burger half the size of the uncooked bun.

Craft and cask? A Stella line up of carling, strongbow and peroni, augmented with a chemically tainted Barry island IPA does not constitute craft and cask. Poor show and essentially false advertising.

Nice little pub. I went for a funeral wake, friendly staff, good service and good beer.
