Lovely pub with plenty of nice touches such as a tropical fish tank 🐠, cosy little nooks 🛋 and a gorgeous garden 🪴 Food was outstanding for taste and fairly good for portion size. I would love to try one of their roasts on the Sabbath 😋 Lastly, staff were very polite and accommodating and facilities were conveniently placed and of a good clean standard

Had Sunday lunch yesterday, the meat eaters had the roast beef and rated it very highly, the none meat eaters one had sea bass and was impressed, l personally had the crayfish platter. Which really exceeded any expectations l might have had, l am very hard to please but this amazing, plus the lady who wanted on us did a perfect job even though it was very busy. Can't wait to return, The only negative if l had to find one is they only have one designated disabled bay and this was being used by a car that was not displaying a blue badge.

One of our locals, we are spoiled for choice. Popped in for an after work Friday drink. Ended up having a lovely meal. Served by Toby who could not have been more friendly and welcoming. They have a lovely large garden, fabulous hanging baskets through out the year. Sensible prices on drinks and food with a great choice on both. Do have TV screens with sport on both inside and out.

For the first time we visited the Wyvern pub in Church Crookham and it was superb. The staff are very friendly, and our waitress for our lunch did everything she could to make sure we bad a great time. The food was absolutely outstanding,and you really are spoilt for choice, we decided on and had the seafood linguine, and the Fish and both were delicious. And our dog Susie even got a bowl of water, and a biscuit. May we pass our thanks on to the girl who look after us, who really does deserve praise, and the staff for looking after us today. Our first visit to this pub. Friendly and pleasant staff. Excellent food and a vast choice. Lovely atmosphere. Our dog was offered a bowl of water and a dog biscuit straight away. Recommend to all. Will certainly visit again when in the vicinity.

Met a friend for a very good lunch. Food and service were good, but the pub was pretty quiet (but then it was Monday lunchtime). I'd go there again, but later in the week.

We love this pub and try to come as often as possible, we often share the wok of wings and the sharing platter. We had the roast this Sunday and the quality and value was great. Only complaint is we miss the curry and rib + wing combo that used to be on the menu! Not a pub to miss and we are very fortunate to be walking distance

Lovely tasty food. Great friendly servers. We went for Sunday lunch and it was very busy. There were 6 of us and we all chose something different. We had all 3 courses and drinks, it cost around £40/50 each. Like I said, the food was very good, but the service was very slow. We waited an hour between our starters and mains.

A great pub with a friendly atmosphere. Bob and Charlotte are fantastic with a brilliant team behind them. A good selection of ales and the food is always spot on.

WOW! What a Boozer! My friends and I came to this pub for the first time a few months ago, and now they can't get rid of us! We are apart of a Gym Group and find it hard to find nice places to eat after our sessions which is local to all of us. We came to the Wyvern after a heavy pull day and found the Wyvern. The menu is excellent for those of us bulking and those who were cutting. We were met with a friendly team of bar staff, Toby and Ben who got talking to us about the gym and Gymshark clothing. We ordered a couple of wings (Amazing btw) as well as being able to choose some non alcoholic drinks based on their recommendations. The food was amazing and its nice to actually be able to talk to the barstaff that show an interest in you rather than seeing you as their next sale. 10/10 will visit again!

I'm always impressed with the Wyvern. The drinks selection is one of the best around, the food is traditional pub grub which is becoming hard to find these days, and the prices are very affordable, but that doesn't mean lower standards in service or quality. The food was lovely but for me it was the service that makes me award top marks. The staff are very friendly, attentive and make you feel like valued customers. Add to this a banging selection of 80s tunes. It feels exactly what a pub should be in time many others are losing their identity trying to be something they aren't.

Went in for a quick bite the other day. Ordered chips and nachos. Chips were a small serving for the price and I was hoping for fresh chips rather those were freezer chips - not impressed. Nachos were decent and serving size was good. However, I feel it was overall on the pricier side. Lovely staff though.

Food was good. I had steak. All the staff were friendly and attentive. A dog friendly pub too as there were quite a few people in the beer garden with their dogs. The service staff were giving them water.

If Heineken made pubs, this would be it. The Wyvern is the most friendliest well managed pubs going. Awesome hard working staff, the best landlord and landlady, and the food is fantastic. Highly recommended to everyone. Thank you from Bernie and Sam

Despite being told on the phone that the quiz starts at 8pm, and despite there being a sign in the bar stating that the quiz starts at 8pm... The quiz actually starts at 8.40 - so we wasted an hour. And they do a meat raffle before giving the answers. All very long ab drawn out.

Excellent lunch today. Food was really good and we wondered why we hadn’t visited before.

My wife and I were staying local so best thought we check out on a recommendation from a good friend. We were not disappointed. Fabulous welcome on arrival and brilliant atmosphere in a very vibrant yet friendly interior. I choose from an excellent selection of craft ales and wife had an Argentinian Malbec. I had one or two more ales because I wasn’t driving. We opted for a steak fondue and seafood linguine - glad we did - both were well cooked and full of flavour. We sat outside afterwards and enjoyed a very relaxing afternoon in the sun. We were treated to excellent service by Sash & Di who were a pleasure. We will certainly revisit.

Visited for the 1st time on Friday for a gig. The group, 'Apache Rose', were very good. The pub had a great atmosphere. Will definitely go again. Will have to try the food

Regularly attend the quiz night on a Thursday. Food is good for the price. The atmosphere is fun and the service is good. Keep up the good work team.

Great little pub to pop in to. Was served by some man who was incredible, very tall! We had a little chat about tattoos whilst he was pouring my Guinness (perfect pour as well!). He also decorated my partners gin with loads of fruit and felt like I had to pay extra for it but he said that was the way things were done there! The staff seemed to gel well together and had a great vibe to them. The landlord seemed to get involved with their banter as well which is nice to see! 10/10 would recommend and ask for Toby for cocktails/gin decorating!

Popped in for a drink and some food with a mate as were in the area...was busy as football was on. Got a drink and found a table without an issue and ordered some food. We both ordered a burger all be it different ones but this were the experience went downhill for us - Both burgers turned up as per the menu description but the chips were cold, the onion rings were under cooked and full of oil (also cold) and the cheese on the burgers wasn't melted due to the burger being warm at best. The bun was dry and salad in the burger was still cold like it was just out the fridge... Luckily wasn't expensive.

Lovely place to stop after a walk around the Sangs. Big outdoor space so we can sit with the dog too. Nice staff and food was fine too. Nothing negative to say.

People leave this pub every weekend and smash glasses along the roads towards sainsburys, infant school/church and Tesco cross roads. It’s an idiots pub, alcoholics and wannabe big boys….. don’t take your kids here. This has been the case for 2 and a half years since I have lived here. This review is the least I would do for what these pub low life’s did to my kid and dog. Take this review down and I might actually start sitting out at night waiting for the alcoholics that like to throw glass around. SOLUTION - don’t give glass to your customers. They’re obviously incapable of looking after the surroundings If I start to see a clean up of this pathetic behaviour then I’ll remove this review and replace it with a review saying this pub actively looks after it’s community because that would not be a lie. Neither is this a lie, it’s all truth. Go for a little walk on the weekend down one of the roads that this pub resides on…….

Decent local, which serves a good pint of Guinness. Didn't eat. Caught it on a quiet mid week evening, thankfully.

Had a roast today at The Wyvern, best roast I've had locally. Great portions fresh, hot and generally the best Roast I've had in the last few months

Two young female staff in the restaurant were fab. Such great service that we made it our new daily eat. Then this week tried three times, stood at the counter for ten minutes to be seated and no one came. Next day, Full carpark (not their fault obviously). Today, seated and drink order taken. Waited 15 minutes and no one came back so had to go to the bar to pay for our drinks and left. Three stars are for the previous waitresses.

Well presented and run pub. Ten outta ten.

Best pub in town, in fact, the best pub for a fair few towns. Great atmosphere, welcoming place for all the family, including your pooch, great venue for entertainment and parties too.

Went today with a large group for drinks , crisps Staff very polite and helpful, nice atmosphere, clean.

Ordered the 1kg chicken wings for myself and my wife had the lamb shank pie. My wife and son both had a few of my wings. For the next two days we were very very ill with food poisoning. Won't be back again.

We took my family and a couple of friends, OMG how busy you were and your amazing staff kept going and smiling amazing they are .we all had different meals amazing considering there 10 of us and none of us waited long but that was not a problem. Expect to find a busy, loud, bustling pub with a good amount of seating and staffing. Food: great menu for casual dining over a few beers. The 'Wing Wok' is popular. Overall great quality to the food and reasonable pricing Service: Normally have a good amount of staff on to match the volume of trade. Had to get a waiter to come to the table but expected as very busy. Atmosphere: Small play area for kids, extensive outdoor seating and plenty of room inside. Always a good vibe and a mixture of people.

On our way back from the Farnborough Subcontract trade show, this pub was recommended by a colleague. We enjoyed a late lunch. The service was excellent even though it was really busy and when the food arrived we all agreed that we made excellent choices. Unfortunately we can't return until next year as the pub is a little out of our way. If only we lived nearer

We live around the corner from The Wyvern, but rarely visit. We decided to have a pub lunch one day and both thought we'd give it a try. The menu is extensive, so choosing wasn't easy and I nearly went with the pub favourite of Gammon Steak, but I was intrigued by the option of a seafood linguine, a dish I like, but after ordering I did wonder if it was a bit hopeful having it in a pub as even Italian restaurants often fail to do this well. I shouldn't have worried, it was excellent. As good as any I've had in an Italian restaurant for a very long time. It was a generous portion too, the sauce was creamy, the pasta cooked just right and the prawns, scallops and salmon all very tasty. My wife had a lasagne and said it was the best one she's had in a pub. We will definitely go back.

Food is good and with fair size portions. Staff are friendly and helpful. Only real negatives for me, are that I could hear the footie and the louts from where I was eating my dinner, and this is a dog friendly pub. Great if you have a dog, but personally, I don't want to sit and eat my dinner around other people's dogs. I would probably return in the summer, when we can sit outside in the fresh air and away from the TV. The decor is nice. Parking can be a bit tight ... when it's busy obvs.

I’ve been there twice with my family and the food is absolutely delicious and the service fabulous. Second time was my brother in law birthday and I asked to write on the plate happy birthday and the ladies not only done that but they came and sang happy birthday to him, I was astonished ❤️Totally recommend it 🥰

Had a lovely lunch here the week before Christmas. Even though they were very busy the service was excellent. Very happy and helpful staff. The food was delicious...I had the sea bass which was better than some that I've had at Rick Steins 😳 Hubby had Sausage and mash.....delicious sausages 😋 Thank you for a lovely lunch. Popped into the Wyvern with my family for lunch as I had heard good things about the place and it did not disappoint. Great pub with amazing food ( even my fussy son ate everything ) and friendly staff. We will definitely be back. Thanks for having us guys. 5stars

I booked the ‘conservatory’ function room for my Husband’s 65th Birthday party last night - I can’t recommend The Wyvern Pub more highly … honestly they were fantastic at the booking stage, the food was delicious (lots of people commented how great it was), the service was exemplary and they even helped put up the birthday banners! - the whole night was just FANTASTIC… absolutely 5 star!

Very compassionate when booking an area and buffet for after a funeral.

Wow! Best pub we have visited in a long time. Ample parking and pleasant exterior. Greeted at the door and shown to our table. Menu was so varied and reasonably priced. Drinks and food arrived promptly. Food was 10/10, great portion and very hot. Staff were always on hand for questions or requests. We will be back, regularly.

Had a really great Sunday roast here. Price was reasonable, the portion sizes were great and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The waitress's suggestion of the pumpkin spiced latte cake with custard was a game changer as well.

Had the mussels here on quiz night last week. The sauce was delicious and I could have had a load more (what was served was more than enough but it was very good) sadly a lot of my mussels hadn't opened so I couldn't eat them, but that didn't spoil the taste.

Enjoyed a lovely roast dinner at a reasonable price

We went in yesterday for the England game, stupidly without booking a table… Despite this, Toby (the tall manager/supervisor) saw my partner couldn’t walk without support so found a snug space to squeeze us in and personally made sure we were allocated a lovely member of his team to cater for us. If anyone likes a pub with an atmosphere then I highly recommend the Wyvern. The only downside was that they had run out of roasts, so we had to go with alternative dishes. THANK YOU to Toby and his team. We will most definitely be back.

Dog friendly spacious pub with garden. Visited September 2023 for Sunday roast that we had booked a week before. Warm friendly and efficient service. Good roast dinner, but not brilliant. Beef a little over and tough. Potatoes ok but parsnips criminally under done. Tasty carrot and swede mix but it was served cold. Nice Yorkshire pudding and stuffing ball. Cauliflower cheese is an extra but worth it and is big enough for sharing. One of our party had the pork and that was really tender and succulent with excellent crackling.

First time visiting this very nice pub. My friend and I had the share Wok a wings with all the dips Came with a huge amount of chips and chicken wings. Several very tasty dips( You pay a very small amount for all the dips and it's more then worth it 👍 highly recommend getting them all🤤) Great value for money and very tasty all perfectly prepared. All the very professional and very cheerful friendly staff made us feel welcome. The menu has a great selection of foods I will be going back there with the rest of friends and family. All round great place to go highly recommend

What a gem! The menu in this place is amazing. It's got all your pub favourites, plus really lovely pizzas, street food from around the world and the biggest bowl of chicken wings and chips you've ever seen! Staff really friendly as well. Family friendly so good for the kids too, if you're that way inclined!

The Wyvern is our local pub. We love to pop in for a drink or meal. We had another great meal today. Ours favourite is meat lovers burger. Too much for me but very good portion for my husband. Great value especially this time. Thank you for great service and food .
