The Woodlark in Derby

You walk in n somehow you get a sense of nostalgia of how the place would've looked years ago but has a very modern feel & atmosphere to it. Free Jukebox, a good selection of drinks, nice little beer garden, TVs, and the barstaff get on very happily & easy with regulars & 1st timers. Sunday diner, which is served there, is home cooked, almost there n then & arrives hot & very tasty. I walk in with a genuine smile on my face, get my Guinness sit down opposite the conservatory & be myself with the regulars.. good or even silly, fun conversations happen lots of laughter..& leave..eventually.. with a smile on my face. A very, very nice "Boozer" as I would call it..!!

We were at this pub yesterday for dinner and we were served by Tânia, she was extremely pleasant and very professional, the dinner was delicious, several dishes and desserts, the value of the meal versus quality was excellent, £26, a gin and tonic, a non-alcoholic beer, a chicken roast dinner a beef roast dinner. Desserts 1 apple pie with custard and 1 strawberry shortcake or 2 scup’s of vanilla ice cream. A place to visit, clean, top decoration and the waitresses are very good, 5-star service. Had a absolutely lovely and very reasonably priced Sunday dinner, served by very friendly staff, but the off-putting thing was the loud music. We struggled to hear each other speak, and therefore didn't stay on for another drink or pudding. Perhaps the music could be turned down for Sunday dinner diners.

Proper pub. Always a choice of real ales. Everyone is very friendly. Brilliant jukebox.

A comfortable and friendly local, only ten minutes off the city centre but worth the walk.

This is a very 'local' type pub , it's run down decor wise and the smoking area a bit rough , however a great friendly pub , free jukebox ... Big 5* there , well done , and TVs to watch the sport.

To me this is a Real Pub unlike the many chains that exist nowadays. It's got pretty much everything you need from a good pud, fantastic welcoming staff, great beer, plenty TV screens to watch sports and a great atmosphere. And every Sunday a real Sunday roasts is served with slow roast Beef & Pork amongst other choices, from 12-4 eat in or Heat &Eat at Home . So if you're in the area make sure you pay a visit, you won't be disappointed. 👍

West End Boozer with great beers and Atmosphere

Great back street boozer in Derby, bar lady was friendly and had a great pint of Welsh beer (Rev James Gold) nothing to complain about! Nothing to complain about although probably the reason why I give it 4 stars is due to it primarily I think being a sports bar, which nothing against that at all, just sports not my thing, but all in all, a good back street pub!

Honest local, in need of a refresh, the once colourful pub sign has faded like the interior of this locals pub. 3 ales on the bar, filled rolls are available, 2 TVs host sports.

Ordered 3 meals for a present for family member. Lovely friendly service from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble and arrived exactly when they said it was. Mother was impressed with the delivery guy and the food was amazing she said. Lots of it and all really well cooked. She will definitely use again and wished we lived closer so we could too. Thanks for great service.

Just had home delivery of 2 roast dinners, pork and turkey, delivered in foil trays to be plated up. Thoroughly enjoyed it and there is an offer on of £10 per person that includes a selection of lagers or prosecco. Find the deal on their Facebook page.

Only has 2 ales on but very well kept, Dancing Duck 22 and Bass on my visit. Cheap through the day, reasonably priced later.

Fairly typical, traditional community boozer (And that's not a bad thing) a little off the beaten track in Derby, with four real ale hand pumps available. Relaxed atmosphere among an older crowd, friendly and competent staff. Certainly not an "essential" stop on a Derby pub crawl - this town has so many fine real ale establishments to offer! But also not a bad option when other places are too crowded on a Saturday night.

Old fashion boozer. Friendly staff, fantastic beer, no frills. Not a food centred pub, but can get hot./cold food made to order. So if your anything like me, a pint and a cheese and onion cob! Fantastic.

Good solid pub. I like to go here to watch pay per view boxing. They always show it and you can usually get a seat with a decent view of a screen. Throw in some boisterous locals, a lively group of friends and too much of the guest ale - you've got yourself a decent atmosphere.
