Delighted with this venue, it's certainly turned around from previous years. The new landlords definitely have their ideas switched on. Great venu for a party, A DJ or Band would fit in this place no problem. That's just the lounge/function suit. Keep up the good work 👏🏻

Thoroughly enjoyed my first visit to the Woodhead Bar last night for a birthday party which has an excellent function hall aswell as a well stocked bar. Staff were very friendly always with a smile on their face. Toilet facilities were above average compared to normal bars pubs or function halls. Would highly recommend. Also the public bar area has darts and a good pool table with friendly locals always up for a friendly chat.

4 of us went to kitchen 69 in the woodhead bar Sunday evening. Table booked for 7pm. We were the only customers in the restaurant. 2 out of 3 starters they couldnt give us and one main course unavailable. Cannot fault the quality of the food. Home made chips and one of the best tasting sauces I have had. However, very small portion sizes for the expensive price you are paying. The chicken in the main course was like a thinly sliced portion from a chicken breast and who wants a cold salad as a side on a hot meal!!! Kitchen closed at 8pm and chef left the building and although our waitress Lynne (who was friendly and attentive) said she could get us dessert - we didn't bother. Price of a small bottle of coke £3.50!!!!!! Overall good tasting food. Small portions. Overpriced menu and drinks extortionate. Wont be hurrying back.

Two and a half hour for a meal and there were only three tables. Embarrassingly overcooked meat, clearly frozen pizza and very low quality of primary products. Prices too high
