Curry sauce was red and very poor , chips not good , have placed many orders here but no more, i like a proper chinese !

The worst food I have eaten or rather not eaten. Salt and pepper ribs were just ordinary ribs with one slither of green pepper and one slice of garlic. Tough and dry. Chow mein special went straight in the bin. The sauce r the aster like gravy, the noodles were soggy and no vegetables

Took a while to get through on a Saturday night. After a 25 minute wait (not bad for a busy Saturday), the food was absolutely foul. The chips were grey and most had eyes in the potato or were beaten/bruised. Ordered the crispy mixed meat in peking sauce and got some crunchy bits of batter (little to no meat in them) in a thick gloopy gravy that shared no resemblance with peking sauce. The Singapore chow mein wasn’t bad but too dry to enjoy when the other parts of the meal weren’t worth eating. Normally receive complimentary prawn crackers here but didn’t on this occasion. I wouldn’t mind but at nearly £20, this was one of the worst takeaways I’ve ever had in terms of value for money.

You won't find better prawn toast in the whole country. Food is very well priced. Service is always perfect.

Ordered a sausage dinner and the chips tasted and had a texture like they were microwaved and had no taste.The sausage was not nice at all with no taste and was not keen on the gravy at all.Also must be the only place i know that dont give mushy peas with there sausage dinners.Thought id go here for a rush kind of option.never again,was horrible!

The food here is absolutely horrendous. I’ve had some Chinese food from different places and this is horrendous. No taste, gloopy sauces, hardly any heat in their so called spicy dishes. Avoid this place like the plague, even the girl taking the orders said she didnt eat any of their food (I was asking as never been here before),

We ordered a takeaway to be delivered at approx 9 pm last night. It arrived a few minutes after 9 pm and the food was just what we ordered and it was lovely

had gone in for chips and other food staff ignored us food disgusting cold and chip were coated in fat will not be going their again 😑 😒 🙃

Staff were unsure of the job role, and completely distracted. The order was questioned about before we left, and they said it was all correct items were missing for 2nd time around.

Don’t bother ordering on a Saturday night, the place is ran by children and it shows.

Placed an order for delivery. It arrived a lot quicker than stated on the order confirmation. I specially put an order note on the chicken chow mein for no veg and beansprouts but it arrived with them. When I rang they said they didn't get the order notes so must be an issue with the website pulling the notes through. No option to replace the meal unless I came to collect which I couldn't do. Food was average at best. Will be reverting back to our usual Chinese.

Hadn’t ordered from here for a while but it’s been good before so thought we’d give another go as just moved to within walking distance. Most of the meal was very nice but disappointingly the meal had a rather stingy feeling to it. The noodles with beans sprouts only filled up 80% of the container, the hoisin sauce with the duck was watery and we only got 1 fortune cookie between us. For almost £50 worth of food you’d think they’d chuck a couple of extra fortunes in. Please take note Sandiway wok as we’d like to use you again!

Ordered £55.00 worth of food and gave £5.00 tip to driver. On opening the order we discoved a £9.00 meal was missing. Called to tell them this and was told it was doubtful they could bring us another meal that night so I asked for a refund. We were told they would take it off our next order but I explained we were only here for the one night so it was tough luck unfortunately! Wouldn't use again if visiting the area.

Local take away that I hadn't used so after reading some positive reviews, I thought I'd give it a go. Just a typical shop front, no seats and a pretty much silent young server, quickly ordered from a wide selection of typical Chinese style foods. From the sound, it was cooked "fresh" and ready to take within 10 minutes. And it was GOOD! Large portions and very tasty. So, well worth a try and not expensive.

Picked up an order of Chinese food from here in October 2022. The takeaway has a sort of low end, industrial feel to it, the servers hidden behind thick plexiglass. The food was average, haven't been back since.

First time tried here .it was by far the worst ever chicken chowmein I have ever had (my meal of choice always ).just noodles done in a very salty sauce with some chicken thrown on top . Went in the bin .it was a total waste of money and awful .can't comment on other meals. Won't be trying them either

Ordered from here a few times now, always really tasty food, hot and fresh - even with larger orders for groups! Staff are lovely and friendly too.

Placed order at 6.20pm. Didn't arrive until 8.05pm - nearly 2 hours. A good 40 mins of that my food was being delivered. Arrived luke warm and not impressed with the quality of food. Compared to my last order over 1 month go.....the standards have drastically dropped.

Rang and asked to pay card over phone for delivery, told me to come in to pay card. Walked in they told me cash only. Food was really greasy and made us sick Meat was grissley in noodle/ rice and the ribs became dust when you bit them. Terrible!

Fantastic takeaway meal but only takes cash so difficult to use regularly. A shame!

Prices change all the time on delivery. And the foods not even that good. Also portions one week are massive next week your getting charged 3 pound more for the same meal. Joke.

Have tried The Wok multiple times since moving nearby a few months ago and have always had a great experience. We had the food delivered for the first time this evening and it arrived piping hot and it was all delicious.

We phoned up for a delivery and the lady on the phone was lovely: she allowed us to swap an item from the set menu with no bother at all. The food arrived early and was piping hot too. The soup, mixed starter and main dishes were all delicious! We will definitely be ordering again.

Great food and portions and parking right outside for collection. Great you can preorder online too. A must if you are a salt and pepper fan!

I had'nt been this takeaway for over 3yr as moved away from area, but coming back to crewe from warrington decided would call & get family takeaway on way home as i am alway's telling them it can't be beaten, it DID'NT disapoint at all, full mark's as always

Living in Cuddington the Wok is very convenient for those moments where we are craving a Chinese but there are better options available in the Northwich area. The food is hit and miss, sometimes ok sometimes less so.

When will I learn not to go to this awful place? Had bad meals before but never this bad. Egg fried rice was crunchy, salt and pepper chips were just greasy chips with chopped onion and a few chilli flakes but the worse was the chicken. Took a bite and instantly could taste it was off. After spitting it back out that was the end of my meal, unfortunately my daughter ate more and was I'll for 2 days after. Did I complain? What's the point!!! Nothing changes when you do so I for one won't be returning.

Food was delivered an hour early so I missed them and my food was cold. Doesn’t matter though because it was vile hot or cold. Congealed, bright pink food and hot and sour soup that was neither hot or sour and has mushrooms and off prawns in it. The weirdest ‘Chinese’ I’ve ever had. My dogs like it but they lick their bums sooooo

Although the takeaway service was friendly the food was honestly awful. Chicken seemed boiled and the sauce was poured over afterwards. Bland food with no resemblance to Chinese and packed with salt which kept us up all night drinking water. Probably the worst ‘Chinese’ meal I have ever eaten.

Only gave 1 star so that I could leave a review. The salt and pepper ribs were deep fried to the point of them being dry and almost inedible. As far as everything else goes, I won't waste my time, apart from saying the worst Chinese I have ever had.

I’ve been going to the wok for years but over time the standards have slipped I discovered a Chinese in nantwich called chopstix which is 5star and more, tonight I couldn’t be bothered with the 12mile travel each way so gave The Wok a go...standards are so low these days salt n pepper chicken was cold the egg fried rice was brown which I’ve never seen before the bbq rib were like jelly (microwaved) they really need to buck there ideas up and start giving people great food because what I’ve recieved tonight it’s just robbing people! To anyone reading this including the wok owners order from Chopstix in Nantwich now that’s a Chinese!!! not going the wok again completely useless!

Worst Chinese I’ve ever had, in fact it’s probably the worst food I’ve ever attempted to eat. Crispy chilli beef was vile - no meat anywhere to be seen just horrid tasting batter. Salt n pepper chips were just normal chips with chilli flakes and raw onion, egg fried rice had no egg in it.... even the prawn crackers were like eating sawdust! Clearly the reason they only take cash is so they don’t have to refund for disgusting ‘food’

Just received an order, the crispy chilli beef tasted like deep fried burnt straw. The egg fried rice had no egg, and the salt and pepper chip's are just normal chip's with a few chilli flakes, with raw onions thrown in. Save your money.

Live near this Chinese and have tried many times before lockdown so was really looking forward to meal tonight . Totally disappointed the crispy chilli beef was like gluten , purple coloured and no sign of beef in the skinny strips of batter. My husband had the special sweet and sour and that was disappointing too. The salt and pepper chips were bits and pieces and not a chip amongst them and dry with little taste or onion. Never again

Waited for order of chicken breast and chips, so thought the food would be nice and fresh. How wrong were we. The chicken was like trying to eat leather. Chips were no better, a lot of solid end of potato bits and the rest were soggy and barely warm. Do not recommend. Oh and only accepted cash.

The Salt and Pepper chips used to be amazing and over the last few times I have ordered them I have been disappointed. I was going to order from a different take away last night but thought I’d give the wok another chance, when ordering I explained how I had been disappointed with the chips recently and if they could try to make them a little bit better.. well they came and they was the worst ones yet my friend had come to visit had she not of been there I would of rung back up to complain.. Will not be ordering from here again.

We preordered a takeaway at 4pm for 5pm which come at 6pm. Food missing and the crispy seaweed was in a kebab shop sauce pot. Extremely small for the price. Ordered online and was given the price including a £4 delivery fee, however, when the lady come to deliver she tried to charge an extra £2 until I showered her the email confirmation of our order. This is the second time we have ordered, the first time over the phone and when we tallied up the cost afterwards we was over charged and then today decided to preorder online and they still tried to over charge us.

The BBQ spare ribs are some of the best we have ever eaten. Fried rice was lovely. Salt and Pepper chips were ok. We lastly had the chicken in Cantonese sauce which was a little bland. Probably a poor choice by us. The biggest flaw was having to pay by cash on delivery and not being able to pay over the phone using a card. We will certainly be using them again however.

Great food plenty of it just need to improve on the chips. Cleanliness very good maybe a little slow but worth the wait.

We were recommended the Wok for a take away and we were not disappointed. Order taken with care and reasonable wait time. Very pleasant pick up. Food was very tasty. Ribs excellent. Portion size very good. We were not left hungry. Will definitely use again.

Quite simply, the food is ok The way some recipes are made are poor though, and the one thing i can say is that there are large portion sizes. The staff really aren't that friendly though, some people you may have read are saying that the staff can't even understand you and that the staff aren't chinese and therefore can't , make chinese food. I can assure you, that this is not the problem. Quite simply, the staff have no care for what they are doing. The food is oily and when you eat it, you can simply tell that there is no effort made to deliver it. What i will say though, is that The Wok does perform much better than the Kebab house, so therefore i will give it 3 stars, but if you can go elsewhere, I would not recommend it.

GONE DOWN HILL!!! Ordered a chicken fried rice and it wasn’t freshly cooked just egg fried rice and cooked chicken on top didn’t taste of anything so it got binned!!! If your wanting a decent chinese Happy House knocks spots of The Wok least There Chefs are Chinese not romanian haha

Top Chinese food, not too greasy and very reasonably priced. We bout for 13 people and paid £90.00 had about 50% uneaten too as was so much food!!

We were recommended to The Wok by a customer who uses The Wok regularly each week. We have to say that we are dubious of recommendations as while people may rave on about a certain place then its not always someone else's cup of tea....

I've been buying takeaways since they opened! Great food! If you like good quality takeaway food, this is the place to come. We always pre-order by phone for collection as we live relatively close by!

Clean, well run and efficient, great range of great value take out meals I have no complaints or I would not go back. I just wish they could take the calories out of sausage chips and gravy!

Worst chips ever tasted- nothing but bits . This is the second time I have experienced this poor quality - I gave benefit of the doubt and decided to give them another try - just the same. Chinese not bad but fish and chips ? Fish does not taste like cod, and the chips only good for the bin - sorry - won’t try again.

on several occassion i have sampled the range from an excellent menu either delivered or collected. the staff are always friendly as is the quality of the food. Literally just round the corner. i will certainly revisit

Always go Wok, sometimes food is slow on a weekend but always worth the wait when you get it, bbq sauce is the best ive ever had from anywhere.
