The Windmill in Great Yarmouth

The king prawn balls so overcooked and sauces watery did not seem freshly cooked mange tout was dark green large onion slices not many spring onions. Seems like oil needed changing. We were disappointed nearly £50 on a meal.

Food was disappointing this time sadly. Delivery is usually a lot quicker than it shows.

Not up to their usual standards!! The prawn crackers tasted odd, almost like a fruity taste. The ribs in my combination meal were too dry to eat. None of it was as tasty as usual. It's a real shame, my reviews of the Windmill are usually very good as the food is usually great.

The pineapple and prawns was bland and no taste the egg fried Rice had hardly any egg in it and the chips were cold the chow mein was also very bland Not your usual standard

Ordered set meal to feed 4/5 people. Ridiculously small portions when dishes were delivered in small single portion trays. Luckily I wasn’t hungry and one of us was 3 year old. Would never order this for 5 adults with normal appetites or would have been embarrassed

My daughter ordered number 44 and found 3 prawns in her dish. She has an intolerance to fish. The description said nothing about prawns

Sadly we Do not recommend. Unless you like a Chinese meal to taste like it was cooked by a white guy !! We thought we would give the windmill a chance over our regular restaurant but sadly the flavoured rice dishes were abysmal ! The egg fried rice and the chicken fried rice was literally boiled rice with the other contents mixed in not fried into !! There was no flavour it was plain AF ! The chow mien was ok. We will not use again - totally ruined our honouring of Chinese New Year

without doubt the most customer friendly service going, nothing is to much trouble, portion size is lovely, piping hot always, tasty, never no waste just bulging bellies, have tried various dishes and never been disappointed

Although delivery was late, we were kept informed and the food arrived still hot. Very good food.

1st time using Windmill and have to say food was excellent. Even with confusion over my address, driver arrived with food on time. Will definitely use again.

I was hoping the bad reviews were going to be wrong… but no!! I never wrote reviews but this was a waste of my time and money unfortunately. Food was bland and tasteless, shredded beef was just like eaten oily scraps, no beef flavour or texture. Sorry to leave a bad review but you seriously need to take these bad reviews into consideration as it’s poor quality.

The place was neat.The chicken was very undercooked it did not enjoy it the omelette was not nice either but the rice did not disappoint.The wait time was so long though I was waiting and some were told an hour to two hours wait I was shocked to see it was not very busy.

Popped in here for some food to take back to the caravan and it was decent enough. The girl at the counter was friendly and the prices seemed ok. Bare in mind it is cash only.

Cash only. £10pp They are open late, which is handy. Sweet and sour chicken was the cheaper version, which is fine. However, if you order Chinese style in BBQ sauce, the chicken is much higher quality and you get a LOT too. Same price, kind of annoying really, I'd like that but in the sweet and sour sauce. Might get the sweet and sour chicken balls next time

Ordered a curry got chicken and gravy rang up got told it was a curry and offered no replacement last time I checked curry wasn’t brown and watery even Stevie wonder couldn’t have cacked it up was told to go through just eat for a refund I certainly won’t be coming back

I have yet to taste the spices on the chicken wings. Very bland. If not for the sweet chili sauce, i would have given it a pass. The chop kam A la china was slightly better but i would not order again. My food took nearly 2 hours to be delivered too.

It was absolutely delicious 😋, best we have ever had. Not greasy at all. Perfectly cooked, not any artificial fillers in the food or sauce. Wish they would deliver to our homes.

Honest review- Never ordered from here before so gave it a chance. Positives- it turned up hot although later than the advertised time. Came with free Prawn Crackers. Negatives- The portions are small for the money. The dishes were lacking flavour/spice/garlic content. Pancake Roll was practically beansprouts. Hardly any vegetables to meat content. Spring rolls again mostly beansprouts. Szechuan pork meant to be spicy but was sweet only tasted of pineapple. Will not be using again for sure

First time trying, won't be going back. Ordered 2 combo meals, received one wrong (processing a refund through just eat on advice of the restaurant-fine). Said combo meals are on the light side given the price, ribs within are barely worth dirty fingers, rice is meant to be fried but is suspiciously pale and tasteless, szechuan had a funny taste, un-ordered chop suey similarly bland. Salt and pepper chips slightly overcooked. It was early I guess? Would rather have waited for a more enjoyable meal.

Nice little Chinese , prices are reasonable and the dishes we ordered were tasty and not greasy . Recommend the chicken chow mein And they don’t take card so make sure you have cash with you

Just had a delicious meal delivered from the Windmill Chinese restaurant at Hopton. Great menu selection and order was delivered on time, politely and efficiently. Food was nice and hot and very tasty. No hesitation in recommending The Windmill well done!

Order arrived before estimated time. Really impressed and will definitely order from here again. Smoked chicken was really really good! Everything was really tasty, chicken balls and spring rolls were crispy and no greasy at all. A very happy customer, thank you!

I always order the soup! It's always delicious and comforting. I've ordered from other restaurants (when the Windmill is closed) but this is the best by far!

We ordered 1/2 duck but portion seemed a tad on the small side. Everything else was fab. Beef chow M, sweet&sour chicken, crispy chill chicken and egg fried rice. Would order again ☺️

Usually order and enjoy from here. But cost was incredibly high on this order for a very small amount of food. £30 for 3 small trays of food and a bag of chips was very expensive. Chicken satay was also very generic tasting. Mushroom and duck was very good though!
