Amazing Sunday lunch, salt and pepper chicken to die for for starters then roast beef!! I couldn't fit a pudding in sadly !

Although the food was good, the service was great and staff polite we did have a bad experience. There was a group of young men in the pub that were a bit rowdy - I'm ok with rowdy, it just means they are having a good time, nothing wrong with that - however, my 11 year old granddaughter came back from the toilet very distressed and somewhat embarrassed. When asked what was wrong she wouldn't really say. It wasn't until we had left the pub that she revealed that one of the young men had entered the ladies toilet whilst she was using the facility and proceeded to use the cubicle next to her. I won't go in to detail but needless to say he hadn't gone in there to have a "number one" and was quite vocal and noisy. I was upset about that and it spoiled what otherwise would have been a pleasant evening out for tea. What a shame we probably won't revisit because of that.

Want in for a meal tonight got to say the staff are lovely . Just the food is awful couldn’t believe the state of my food when it came out everything greasy my partner had steak pie looked awful he couldn’t eat it . He Said that it had been warmed up loads of time . It’s a shame coz I’ve eaten here before and it was lovely don’t know what’s happened but something needs to be done . Would not recommend it

Where is chef aaron I’m absolutely disappointed in the food the windmill pub was a regular for me and the family what we received today was rubber microwave meals i do not recommend the lasagne we got to know our regular chef Always friendly and the bar staff was brilliant always happy to help sometimes took a while to get served but it’s a pub I can’t complain but the lack of service in beer and food is ridiculous I will not be returning

Not been here for a while so decided to give it a try as I’d heard good things about the food! Big mistake!! The food was dry as a bone, I think the pie had been cooked at lunchtime and left under the heater all day, it was solid. What ruined the place more than the food was the clientele! Full of absolute scum bags! Sat with my family (including young children) and a lad stands up in the middle of the pub and shouts ‘let’s get some f**king ket’ (ketamine)… none of the staff battered an eyelid, like it’s the norm! The language shouted across the pub is enough to make your ears bleed and really inappropriate with little kids around. The kids were playing out the back on the climbing frame but it’s like the Wild West, the other kids are feral… just left to their own devices whilst their parents get Merry inside. I went out at one point and an older boy (looked about 12) was trying to convince my 4 year old nephew to punch my 5 year old son! Do yourself a favour… and go somewhere else!

Very disappointed with the service and food. Some of the food was burnt and after getting our starter we waited approx 1 hour for our main course will not go back

This pub has a great atmosphere. The food is lovely and beautifully presented. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. There is good space inside and out. I love coming here.

This was are 1st visit, we were made to feel really welcome by the staff. Great atmosphere and the food was really nice and great value for money.

Had salt and pepper chicken which was ok Girlfriend had spicy chicken burger which she returned because it was dry and tasted burnt the replacement was no better and no offer of a refund wouldn’t eat her again

Have eaten here before and it was ok for pub grud, but never eating here again. Ordered the spicy chicken burger and salt and pepper chicken. The chicken in both meals was so dry and flavourless. Didn't bother complaining just wanted to get out of there because the clientele

The Windmill was a fantastic venue for our Wedding Reception on 22nd December. We had the whole pub and was able to cater for all our guests, from those who just wanted to sit and chat, watch the football or sing and dance. The hosts Tracy and Mark were fantastic and very accommodating along with the bar staff who really couldn't do enough for us. The food was amazing as always, which is a definite must at a wedding reception. We truly did have the best day and the place was still rocking when we made our exit! All our friends and family are still talking about the wedding of the year in a fantastic venue. Great pub, great hosts, great food, fantastic atmosphere, we really couldn't have asked for anything more for our special day so definitely 5 stars from 2 very happy newlyweds!!

The staff accomodated 12 people at very short notice, they were very tolerant of our lively grand children. Nothing was a chore to them and they made us feel very welcome. The food was excellent, very tasty and good size portions, they also allowed my grandson to take his left over pizza home in a takeaway box. Highly recommended.

Went for lunch here today had the 3 courses for 8.25, I had garlic mushrooms that were in a lovely sauce served on farmhouse bread simply delicious my husband had the homemade soup which he said was equally as nice, I then had Ham egg and chips and my husband had scampi lovely homemade chips all king hot and really good quality. We both went for sticky toffee pudding which was lovely and not too sweet, the service was excellent and we highly recommend and definitely be returning.

We've been here a few times since it had a refurb and it seems to get worse every time. We had food: kids meals were big portions and the lasagne was decent. Me and the missus had burgers which we attempted to pimp with extras which was a futile exercise. The burgers were tiny (supposedly 8oz) and were an embarrassment to the ungrilled brioche bun they were served on, and the bbq pulled pork i added was about 4 cubes of dry, microwaved pork. Peppercorn sauce (another extra) was actually quite tasty but so thin that it no longer served any purpose other than to colour the plate in a browny grey gloss. Such a disppointment.

Came here at 1:15pm (ish) on a Monday afternoon with my mum. We were the only ones in to eat! Woman behind the bar was lovely and checked on us throughout our time here. Food came within 10 minutes of ordering, the gammon i had was absolutely amazing! Well worth the money, and was lovely and quiet- always means better service! Will definitely be here for more gammon soon!

To me this local watering hole is very boring A lot of money was spent on refurbishments but I think the only people to benefit were the builders The priced charged are over the top NOTIMPRESSED#

Come here for dinner was nice, had jacket potato chilli cheese and salt n pepper chips, very nice will be returning

We went her last night for my hubbys birthday the food was delicious- good size portions and well worth a visit, staff really lovely couldn't do enough for us especially the girl who brought us out meals! Well done and thank you

Food was cold and our group were all served separately. My friend sent her cold chilli back it didn't reappear but was on the bill at the end. Everything tastes of burnt fat. Wouldn't recommend.

Would recommend for a good catch up with family or friends menu to suit most tastes an daily specials
