Lovely beer, but a TV screen in every corner playing football. Great if you want to watch football though.

A nice enough place that is my type of pub. Just a shame that the day I visited, it was empty inside and only 2 others outside on a sunny day! How ever........ It was a Monday, so might have been why! Staff member was very welcoming and was busy cleaning glasses and really looks like something they do a lot in there as really was clean everywhere! I'll definitely pop back again next time I'm that way!

Stopped in for a couple of pints on a Friday night when visiting Margate. Lovely friendly staff, decent beer and a good atmosphere all round.

Went there late one night for a drink and a pee when our bus broke down and we had to wait for a taxi. Was just before closing time and there weren't many people there. The barman was really friendly, nice chap he was. We sat outside. Some random bloke begged money from us whilst we were outside and the barman helped him along. If we ever end up in Margate old town again, I'll be sure to pay this pub a visit

We sat outside, very crowded but got a seat . We had a couple of drinks & enjoyed the sunshine.

I happened upon this charming pub today and couldn't believe my luck. As I entered I was greeted with the most beautiful open log fire. It was burning brightly and the flames looked like angels dancing in heaven.

A very friendly atmosphere, enhanced by the roaring open fire. Excellent staff.

Cosy lighting and warming wood fire makes for a great atmosphere. Gadds No5 served in perfect condtion.

Locals spot in the heart of the town. Great example of a cozy pub. Great selection of cask and local beers, plenty of spots to catch the World Cup action.

Saturday 13th August....So called 'music' all afternoon booming all over Margate. THIS GIRL CANT SING seems to be able to carry only one song 'Ain't no body'. She does however really like the sound of her own voice. This is giving residents of Margate GBH of the earhole all afternoon.

Very welcoming and friendly service. Also tried the food which was very tasty and filling. Will revisit when in the area again!

Had a drink in the wig n pen on Bank Holiday Monday. Lovely pub and I thought it was a little expensive. The bar staff could have been a bit friendlier but I suppose they are only there to serve. I won't be in a rush to return as I like a pub with character.

Wasn't made to feel very welcomed at all. They were very suspicious of us and although the staff warmed up to us after a bit of effort on our part, it made us want to run away after one drink.

Only tried to walk in for a bevvy to wait for our table in another restaurant, as we were a little early, and the barman, (old guy with glasses) was rude on approach, raising his voice stating "no, no mask, no entry", even though my partner had a mask on and I was medically exempt. After responding with this, he told us to wait. Yet, there were 3 guys near the entrance, drinking away with no masks present around their face. Probably because of colour, as we were both of the darker skin tone, but, who knows? We just didn't appreciate the way he handled it.

Ordered fish and chips beautifully cooked and really tasty good portion and chips were soft inside and crispy outside. Hubby had meat pie again really full of meat and pastry was lovely. Worth a visit good with Covid precautions.

Very worthwhile visiting. I called in on a Friday, fairly early, just after nine and the karioke was on, but no takers! However s good selection of tunes were played. Good drop of Gadds, decided on the IPA

Great pub we went for the Margate soul weekend and it was a long wait to get served. Would suggest they give the customers the cider bottles to pour themselves whilst they pour other drinks when there are 10 thick at the bar. Good atmosphere..
