Wonderful landlady, just like the good old days, she offers sandwiches, rolls, sausage rolls etc to customers, she gets a shellfish man to come in at the weekends, very friendly staff, great atmosphere, clean…she’s transformed this pub for the better. Dart board and pool table, car parking available, nice garden, clean toilets…a lovely pub.

🚇 Selhurst 🍺 £6.00 Madri A Lovely South London Local Popular With Palace Fans. The White Horse is located in Selhurst close to Selhurst Park the home of Crystal Palace Football Club. The nearest station is Selhurst, it’s a five minute walk to get here. This pub was built in the 1930’s and has had a few monikers over the years. It has been called The Holmesdale, The Kilkenny Tavern and reverted back to The White Horse in 2022. This is a good size one bar pub that is set out in a ‘L’ shape. Most of the original decor is long gone with the exception of the Tudor beams and counter that frame the centrally located servery. The decor here is simple and functional with pale panelled walls, traditional furniture and a wooden floor running throughout. Just opposite the servery is a raised section which has a fish tank, other key features include a wood burner, two dartboards, a pool table and a Jukebox. At the rear of the pub is a large beer garden complete with covered patio area. The beer selection was solid and included two cask ales. I decided on a Madri, my pint was great, price point was average. This is a wet-led pub that doesn’t serve food. I arrived bang on 12pm on a mild Saturday lunchtime in January. I was first one in the door and received a warm welcome by a lovely member of staff. Not long after a couple of regulars came in who were friendly and chatty. This pub loves its sport and was showing the Horse Racing and Golf on mute on two of the four large screens. The soundtrack was soulful tunes which set a nice backdrop. The pub has lots on to engage the local community. There are Live Music and Karaoke nights, a Darts Team, Pool competitions plus live Premier League. Visiting The White Horse was an excellent experience, this is a proper locals pub that serves the community well. Due to its proximity to Selhurst Park, the pub gets very busy on match days when Palace are playing at home. If you’re ever in this part of town, I would definitely recommend a visit. ℹ️ Info correct on visiting 13.01.24

what a pleasure to visit an hospital, friendly and welcoming pub. Clean, good company of individual customers who were polite and welcoming to me. The Landlady even offered a round of sandwiches at no charge which I found exceedingly hopsital. Will not hesitate to visit it again.

Came in to watch a football game was there about 5 minutes when I was approached by a Eastern European woman who asked me if I was going to buy a drink I was waiting for someone to come and said I would in 5 minutes. I went outside to call my friend and came back in the Eastern European woman told me to buy a drink right now I said I would in five minutes after this followed a back and forth of her saying I had to buy a drink right then and there so I asked if I should leave and she said yes if you are a black person steer clear of this pub

Popped in after a Palace match, plenty of staff, nice and busy atmosphere. Took great care pouring my Guiness which is a great example of super service and rare in many places. Enjoyed the sport and open fire, then they appeared with sandwiches. If you want a beer and good boozer this place is great. Nice people too.

This is the N01 pub in selhurst! Clean, Great music box, great pool table with space to play and separated darts area. Beer garden with free parking is huge. All sports showen on large TV's and the fresh rolls on football days are home made and tastey. The land ladie is incredibly welcoming to all, the staff are all friendly and proactive (never have to wait to long to get served when really busy) there has been a new real log burning fire installed which has added a cosy family feel to the the pub. The clientel is pleasantly mixed and I thoroughly recommend to all.

Extremely loud "music" noise in the late hours of the night. Can be heard throughout the entire street, we don't even live that close to the venue. Horribly inconsiderate owners and patrons.

One of the best takeaways in the area, without a doubt. Great service, high quality and tasty food. Will be ordering from Sitar for years to come! The vegetarian options are all delicious too.

I was invited to the delightful restaurant by my dear friend MS. The food was freshly prepared, with good sized portions, and served with crispy salad and a selection of sauces. We had cod and chips, mushroom omelette and apple crumble w custard, washed down with a bottle of Blush. The staff were attentive without being intrusive. This is a very comfortable place with a menu which was extensive and of good value. Who needs to travel to Central London when we have this gem in South London? The desserts were delicious, and there was a selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages too. I will definitely go again. Run, don't walk.

£18 for pounded yam and egusi. Next time il go Enish. Look at the portion size it’s ridiculous. Yam has too much water honestly the worst I’ve seen and beef is tough
