Marie was amazing very welcoming and friendly service. Highly recommend this pub located in Penkridge village.

Absolutely love this place, Marie is a bubbly breath of fresh air, the beers are crisp and clean, reasonably priced as well. Great little traditional boozer 🍺🍺🍺

Buffet was spot on. Lovely staff, nice room upstairs.

I have never felt so unwelcome as I did when I entered this pub today! The barmaid/possibly manager called Pat totally ignored us when we approached the bar and then told a barmaid who had just arrived to serve us - she was friendly! I then later asked if they had WiFi and the barmaid asked Pat if she could give me the password and Pat said no! I felt like Pat was giving me daggers throughout the visit even though I’d never met her before in my life! If you’re a local you’ll probably be okay here but as I live three miles away I’m just not good enough. Will never set foot in this establishment again!!

Shannon is just what this pub needed. A landlord that cares and is making an effort. So nice to see some progression and investment going into the pub. Great night.

Went in for a few pints while waiting to collect a curry from up the road, proper old school boozer, no pretenses, great landlady, bit of banter with the locals and decent beer, spot on!
