Sat in The White Hart right now and have just finished THE BEST STEAK BURGER I HAVE EATEN IN AS LONG AS I CAN REMEMBER! Lovely atmosphere and really helpful friendly staff who coped with our party of 16 with no problem at all. You simply have to taste the food here to appreciate just how amazing it is. Definitely coming back at the next possible opportunity. Worth the hours journey from home 100%

Had a lovely roast beef today . Generous portions and very reasonably priced . Two courses £20. Lovely views out the back too. Recommended

Popped in for coffee and cake for our friends 95th birthday. The cake was to die for. Best I've ever tasted. Lovely quiet, leisurely afternoon. Thanks to all. We shall come again.

I was so excited to come to this pub it was first place on the list , the waitress was so nice and she deserve a 5 stars for her welcoming me. But sadly the food was not Prawns cook bland in water I was expecting something special Chips was nice Ham hock dry onion chutney caramel burn taste . But my son burger was nice Calamari eggy taste too much in a batter Will I come back ? No

We had takeaway fish and chips last Friday and we were very pleased. Good sized portion, tasty fish and really good chips. Fresh peas as well. All in a nice box which we ate out of once home. I would definitely go for food again. Next time in the pub.

We visited at a quiet time, good was very good and views were spectacular

Sad to say we hadn't been since the new landlord had taken over and decided to go with some friends for dinner to see how it had changed. Georgie was our brilliant server. Although she was young.... Well young to me as I'm getting on..... She was very professional, friendly, polite and kept us fully informed about waiting times as it was busy. Food was wonderful. Good portions of nice and hot food. Between us we had pulled pork dirty fries, fish and chips and chilli which we finished off with ice cream, cheesecake and posset for desert. Will certainly be back again soon....

Very nice cosy pub on the fringes of the Chilsworthy village. We had the spicy chicken and calamari which were delicious. Friendly bar and waitress. Amazing view from the balcony ideal for alfresco dining.

We had the curry night food was good but no spice even tho we where told there do spice if recommended there was bar lady amazing she was so happy and smiling all the time told us about the curry as soon as we walked we where only going for a drink few drinks later and curry and pudding told us about a local taxi service left car there later defo going back very friendly defo recommend

Well … what can we say ? Had an outstanding Mothers Day lunch today , 3 courses with glass of Prosecco on arrival .. beautiful meal , really enjoyed it , best meal we have had in a very very long time . The service at the table was brilliant, nothing was too much trouble .. we had a little incident with our dog .. ie our fault , not dog , and drink went flying … 😬and they replaced it , much appreciated when totally our fault .. please pass on our appreciation to all members in team that made this a great day out ..especially the forgotten heroes in the kitchen … we’ll be back ! Great village pub overlooking the fabulous Tamar Valley with a good selection of Ales, a "happy hour" from 4-5.30, and discount food nights throughout the week. It's great to see it reopened with a good local following, so well worth a visit, and dog friendly to.

Went for the £5 Monday deal. Great food. Will be back for sure. The cheesecake was amazing.

Whilst holidaying in Cornwall we had the good fortune to go to the white hart pub. Wednesday 28th September. Didnt book, just walked in on the off chance. We couldn't believe how busy it was for a mid week. I asked the waitress if they where doing food? She told me that the chef had called in sick and she would ask the landlady who was cooking if she could. Luckily she came back and said yes."Its going to be a bit of a wait but yes." I come from a little village in East Sussex called Rotherfield, when i was young the local pub, The George was the focal point of the village. Im not kidding, it was like being back there in The White Hart. The landlord Ian was so friendly, we where chatting with the locals like we where one of them. The food was delicious, a log fire blasting. All I can say is I wish I lived there!! It's like stepping back in time where people go out and socialise. Well done Ian and Katy you've cracked it. Where do we begin with our praise for what Ian, Katy & their staff are doing with this beautiful, rural pub. Having found ourselves staying in Chilsworthy by accident it ended up being the best thing that had happened. Situated in the heart of the village, what these fantastic people are doing for their community deserves more acclaim than I can write here. We turned up with our son, Josh... his girlfriend Ella... our two dogs, and didn't know a soul. We were welcomed with open arms and chatted to as if we'd been locals for years. Ian & Katy are your perfect hosts, and despite being hit with every hurdle possible during the last few years, have 100% put their lives up for their village. The pub is beautiful, the views stunning, atmosphere incredible.... and after one week we leave with the hosts now friends. A must visit to anyone coming down this way. You will not be disappointed. Went for anniversary celebration eat out in, early evening on a weekday so not too busy. The pub is a lovely old building, atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. The veranda is showing signs of needing replacement, but has lovely views. Food service was fast and friendly. The main point though is how amazing the food was. Delicious! Great portion sizes, great value. Nicely kept beer! Had a pleasant evening.

Absolutely fantastic food. Even on the restricted menu because the chef was on his own - you can tell the quality of the food really matters. In the top 3 best pubsI have been to, easily.

Super chilled pub, great views and atmosphere, Ian is a great landlord, pub getting better all the time.

A really nice and proper country pub set in a beautiful area in the south west. Stunning views from the balcony across the Tamar Valley with Dartmoor in the distance, I could even see Brentor church. As for the beer and food, there were 3 ales available of which I tried 2 and they were great. We both had fish pie which was reasonably priced. I have to say that it was probably the nicest fish pie I'd ever eaten in a pub or restaurant, well recommended!

Recently when to the open mic, which is every last Sunday of the month and the food was fantastic.

Wow. A wonderful pub with friendly staff, relaxed feel and a delicious menu. We enjoyed a fully vegan roast dinner. Haggis pie, yummy. We will definitely return if we are passing.

We can't thank The White Hart Inn enough for giving us a wonderful experience yesterday. We were a party of 6 adults and 4 very young children and chose The White Hart to celebrate my 60th birthday. We had a large table in an upstairs room where there was plenty of room for us all. The food and service were first class. Even my son who is an excellent chef himself was very impressed. Thank you again!!!

We went last night. Starters of devilled kidneys (incredible) and scallops Thermidor (too cheesy for the delicate scallops). Then pork steaks (lovely sauce but dry and with very ordinary bland potatoes), and liver and bacon with delicious gravy. The service was great, every attentive and friendly. We’d go back xx

We had dinner here while on holiday in the area and the food was fantastic as was the view overlooking the Tamar valley from the outside seating area at the back of the inn. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Nice old pub, very good food and very friendly helpful staff. Went twice, so didn’t starter second time as main meal filled us. Limited menu but what is on the menu was very nice. Kids meals were great and large so the girls didn’t get through all of theirs. Great view of valley, so rear outside balcony recommended.

We saw the tv programme with Tom Kerridge about this pub and promised ourselves we’d go there. Well today was the day, what can I say other than it was a charming traditional pub with amazing views. Very friendly pub, absolutely the best pub food we had all ever had. Mum and I had a wonderful plaice dish which would rival a top end restaurant. Extremely good value for money. Love it. Worth our 200 mile round trip from Cornwall, we’ll be back! Oh, not forgetting the entertainment, Harry the dog! Thanks.

Visited with a very dear friend for lunch. Food was delicious, hot and very good portions. Freshly cooked, with lovely ingredients. Ami, the owner and Adrian the chef, were very good hosts and worked really hard to ensure good service. Would highly recommend and will visit again when in the area, thank you.

I saw this pub on The Tom Kerridge programme and thought that they put masses of effort into making it work. Took our caravan fairly near and decided to visit. So glad we did, excellent food, tasty beer and great views from the balcony. Just wished we lived closer.

We are regulars in the bar, this is the first time we have eaten here, all I can say is amazing. Its rare to actually feel full up after a meal out, we couldn't manage dessert. The mussels for stater were lovely, I had the hake for main, the wife had duck. Both were very well cooked ans very hot. Pity we couldn't fit in dessert!!

The young lady that looked after us was first class and seemed to manger very well with my sense of humour. Absolutely gorgeous food. I ordered the Chef’s Lunch with liver, bacon and mashed potato. My partner had the steak and stilton pie. The portions were pretty big so we ended up very satisfied. The pub itself is lovely inside and has great views. Thank you so much!

I didnt eat nor drink as its closed, however, back in the car after getting a piece of Gala pie out of the honesty shop, (and ginger cake, yet to be sampled) pie lovely, views fantastic, I'm sure the food and drink is as amazing as its situation/ views....well worth going I'd say, even for a bit of pie and the view!

Absolutely incredible. Went for the Roast Pork and was easily the best ‘Pub Lunch’ we’ve ever had. Far above and beyond any other pub. Everything was cooked to *PERFECTION*. A MUST visit. Incredible. All the other pubs near by were fully booked and thank god they were. Staff were incredible, food was delightful. 100/100 ⭐️

Very friendly staff and owners, great food, very dog friendly, and great views even with the fog! Tight and steep car park but that's the only very minor negative. That of course can't be helped, but definitely worth the visit!

Great food and a great family friendly atmosphere, with an amazing view whilst you eat. Visited with my family including children and the staff were very welcoming and accommodating. The Food was really yummy, home cooked food,and the selection was just right offering something for everyone. The portions were generous and the quality shone through every bite, with this in mind the value for money was outstanding. Would recommend this place for anyone in the area as it really is something special. I had the venison chilli and it was amazing!

Have had a pasty and a takeaway evening meal from The White Hart since they have reopened for lockdown takeaways. Both have been delicious. You need to order as they seem to be getting busy.
