Came here for Sunday lunch, the staff are lovely and friendly, and the Sunday lunch is absolutely gorgeous, meat cooked to perfection and the best roast potatoes I’ve ever had , this will be my usual Sunday dinner now, great value and even better atmosphere, highly recommend x

Had a mixed grill on Thursday and then a Sunday lunch and can only give 5 stars or I would have given ten!! I would suggest making a booking beforehand so as not to miss out!

Just bought a caravan local to this pub and so thought we’d give it a go. One person working who was rushed off her feet, couldn’t get served for near 10 minutes as it was understaffed, no ice fir my wife’s gin, beer went off-barrel needed changing, man showed up and wasn’t very pleasant because he’d been disturbed but he changed the barrel, but wouldn’t go back for ice!! Very sad as it’s the oldest pub in the area and we were hoping for more

Have been several times now for the Thursday night grill night where for £25 you can get two meals and a bottle of wine and we've also been on a Sunday for the carvery. The food is superb. Proper food. Nothing out of a freezer. Homemade chips, onion rings peppercorn sauce etc. A choice of rump, sirloin or ribeye. Quite simply lovely well presented quality food and a cracking pint.

On a visit to Crowle market square we called for a cooling drink on a hot Wednesday 15th May, it's the oldest pub in the area 1600s, it had low beams on the ceiling, the inside had a separate dining room, It was a quiet day so only 2 other customers in. The interia was in dark wood , the bar was well stocked clean and tidy. There was outside seating and a large car Park,

This was a visit as a pub to go for a meal and a drink on occasion! What a terrible place! The entrance said it all it's not just dirty it's filthy!! The tables and chairs showed they hadn't been cleaned at all. The carpet and doors and skirting's were nothing short of disgusting, how anyone could consider eating here is unthinkable!

Having visited this pub in the past almost by accident and found it to be good value on Thursday nights "Grill Night" we again found ourselves in the vicinity and made a beeline for this pleasant eatery. We were now looking forward to 2 steaks and a bottle of drinkable wine for £20 OK so brexit and inflation had taken its toll and we were offered two 8 oz steaks and a bottle of Hardys for £25 - not so bad. Our ribeye steaks arrived and the waitress proclaimed " 2 rumps rare". No we said we ordered ribeye. The waitress said she had made a mistake and the steaks were in fact ribeye. The steaks were tough, chewy and not at all like ribeye. Chips were mostly underdone with some escapees being overdone. Salad was salad. When we were asked if everything was ok by the person clearing we highlighted the chip and steak problem. "No it was definitely ribeye he said, when we told him that we bred cattle he said he would have to have a word with his butcher. I don't know if the place has changed hands but it's not like it used to be - we will make a detour in future

If you have any self respect, you would not eat here. It’s a dive. Don’t get me started on how dirty the staff look either. One with a pair of blue jeans on like she’d just rolled in from school. This place used to be good when Christopher Mayne was the manager but has since evidently gone downhill. The new manager looks totally uninterested and like he is wasting his time by being there. When he served us, it felt like he was doing us a favour by pouring a pint. My husband also agreed on his rude attitude. We have also heard bad things about a particular chef who works in the kitchen??? Need I say anymore about the kind of people they are employing here.

A pub can’t that handle being busy and had bad stop the food service, woooow! booked a table for tonight, and we was kindly walked over to the table where we asked where we order food, and was advised that it was at the bar, which is all good. we looked over the menu & went up the bar to be told that they are no longer serving food!! tell me why you told us we can order at the bar and we told the lady that we was ordering food. disappointment is such an understatement.
