Lovely service and food-shame about a very noisy group who didn’t know how to behave in a restaurant.

Thanks to you all for making me and my partners visit great, super food and sublime service. Appreciated the birthday experience for me too. Will definitely come back, the best curry house in the south east. Thanks Ali.

Beautiful restaurant. The waiters were fantastic and very attentive. The food came promptly and was delicious. The cocktails were amazing too. At the end of the meal we were sitting chatting and they offered us a comfy chair in their lounge which was cosy and relaxed. I can’t wait to go back again. Definitely recommend.

We are always made to feel welcome at The Shampan. The food was delicious (especially the chocolate samosa)! & the staff were very efficient & friendly.

Amazing food that couldn’t be faulted I will definitely go back again, amazing staff who are attentive and friendly but…..the atmosphere felt like a school canteen - no music, really bright lights, lots of children running around - such a shame. I’m assuming that Sundays are more busy and attending one evening will be a better experience.

Such a lovely restaurant, different to the normal Indian restaurants. If you want something a bit more special this is the place . Staff are lovely along with the great food

This was our first time here and we were very impressed. It was a lovely large restaurant with 2 lounges to enjoy a drink before our meal. The staff were very friendly and attentive and the food was fantastic. I can't recommend it enough.

The restaurant decor is welcoming and the staff were all very pleasant and attentive. The food was a little bland and lacked depth of flavour. It was also served very quick which makes me wonder if it is precooked. They also served papadums and chutney without us ordering them but added them to the bill at the end. The restaurant has potential but the food needs to improve given the prices charged for it to be 5 star.

The food was outstanding. The lamb chops were divine. Good atmosphere- nice to sit in cocktail area for a couple of drinks first before heading into dining area. Nice mix of ages and groups, as well as couples. You can enjoy a standard Indian dish, or try some authentic Indian cooking. Good wine list as well.

Absolutely outstanding service as always and the best Indian food we have ever tasted. Such a fantastic experience dining at the Shampan spinning wheel. We hadn’t been in over 5 years, but the experience and food was even better than we remembered. Pricey, but worth every penny.

Stunning looking restaurant which made us really excited for our dinner. The food was nice enough but we couldn’t help but feel that the service lacked a personal touch. It all felt like we were on a conveyor belt as we weren’t asked if we wanted more drinks and were presented with our bill before asking for it. So whilst the food was good, we won’t be rushing back.

Such a lovely venue & perfect for a special occasion too. Excellent service & food. Quiet noise levels, spacious, great ambience, accessible facilities. On site parking. It is more expensive but worth it for the overall experience.

Great night for my mums birthday, the service was brilliant, they really looked after us and even gave my mum a birthday card with a money off voucher for her bday!! Food was really tasty all round great night and highly recommend.

Lovely place, food was great (as it has been every time I have visited) We asked to move due to being placed close to a large table (they were not rowdy, just we could not hear each other talking) and the staff were very accommodating. Hope to go back soon.

The food and service were very good indeed, but the restaurant was very cold and I had to keep my coat on which really spoiled it. I did mention it to the waiter but don’t think it was addressed.

I was passing through and not a local, I live in Leicester and dined at very fine places and well as India. I found The Restaurant staffing is very professional and well mannered, excellent food as well. If you enjoy Indian food they have a very good variety to suit many choices. With outstanding seating area to have drinks beforehand as well. Thank you to the restaurant team for looking after me Tuesday Night.

Joined the chatty cafe morning on Thursday and had a great time. Free coffee and teas with home made pastries. Had the chance to catch up with other residents of the village and share a story or two.

Sunday buffet lunch with family which was great value for money and an adequate selection of delicious dishes Our only slight criticism would be the service was a little slow for drinks but didn't impact our visit. Will definitely be returning at some point.

On buffet day there was no potato dish at all had to order Bombay potato separately. There has never been chicken tikka masala on any of the Sundays we have attended (the most popular curry choice I would say) so overall disappointed as we cannot get the dishes we would normally order without buying off the main menu.

Beautifully prepared food , delicious and plentiful. Very attentive staff and good service. The location is remote but perched upon the top of Westerham Hill is an ideal setting.

High qualify food and plush interior. Would highly recommend this restaurant for a special occasion.

The real ale is well kept, the food is homecooked and par excellence. The community events are well attended and the service is friendly and welcoming every time we visit. Their pool table is the best for miles around. My choice for pub of the year 2024

Visited the Shampan for a birthday meal. We all had a fabulous time. We ad pre drinks in the lovely bar area before sitting for dinner. Service great and the food was fabulous. There was a large group of us and we all enjoyed what we ate. Staff friendly and professional. We will alll be back.

Terrible food, starters inedible along with most of the mains. We were sat next to a table of 20+ in a mostly empty restaurant and when they left we had to endure the staff polishing their empty table with Pledge, not the most pleasant experience.

Lovely food and speedy service. Had car trouble on the way so had to call and ask to rearrange reservation time and they were very accommodating and understanding. Food was excellent!

A warm welcome on a very wet evening. The dining rooms are very attractive, the service accurate and the food well spiced and plentiful. The lamb byriani was particularly good.

This is one of the nicest restaurants I have been to in a while. Beautiful decor, friendly and attentive staff and the food was delicious. My friend and I shared the Amritsari tilapia which was nicely flavoured, as was the mixed grill platter. For our mains we had the cauliflower broccoli paneer dish which had nice textures and was mildly flavoured, and the lamb kadhai with garlic naan. The lamb was super tender and the sauce had enough spice to keep two Indian ladies happy! We ended with a mango and cardamom brulee which I can't wait to go back for. 100% recommended. Around £45 per head without alcohol, but worth every penny.

Have visited Shampan many times and cannot fault it. It was my friends first visit and she absolutely enjoyed the evening. The food, service and staff are consistently excellent and I would recommend a visit to everyone.

Here comes a big secret... if you part with around five of his Majesty's pounds, the serving wenches will give you a full glass of happiness... this will keep happening until you fall down or happiness ends.

Fair amount of room between tables. Staff very attentive and helpful, especially as my husband disabled. Food as usual high standard, presented well. Atmosphere very clean and welcoming. Always a pleasure to dine there.

Sorry Shampan, several years ago your were great, but not now. No fault on service but the food has tried to become more style over substance. The king prawn poori for starter lacked flavour and the poori was not fresh, it was dry and tough, also where is the lemon to add a bit of zing to the prawns. Main course curries were also lacking in flavour and the chicken was tough, coconut rice was great. My big issue was the garlic nann, it was dry, didn’t taste fresh and no different to getting one from the supermarket. I used to be a regular here, and had not been for a while, but sadly will not give this place another try. Also they need to sort the electrics out, the lights went on and off repeatedly and then kept flickering!
