I went to this lovely local pub for an evening meal and to watch the footy. Great selection of local ales and amazing food. Made to feel very welcome. Great staff and customers. would recommend to anyone for drinks or a great meal. they also have a pool room, live music at the weekend, a quiz during the week and a great outside seating area. Will be returning for their beer festival in August. thank you to Naomi and Barry for making me feel very welcome

We love this pub, really friendly, great food ( Pizza especially ) and drinks. Amazing Landlords Barry & Naomi, they have done so much to help with this pub to create great atmosphere, and helping the community, and much more. 🙂

Welcoming staff , food was nice and hot The only thing that let it down was leaving the fat on the bacon in the panini so I had to pull it off. Could of also done with a larger portion chicken nugget and chips option , on the lunch menu it doesn't mention it's a smaller portion ( as on other menu on line ) , but my son still said they were nice 🙂

Stayed in the Snug accommodation within the large well kept garden. Barry was an excellent host with a warm and hospitable welcome. Nothing seemed too much trouble. The Snug was clean, cosy and comfortable with simple yet effective touches i.e. books and digital radio. Although we didn’t eat within the pub, we have partaken in a previous visit and have no hesitation in selecting 5* 👍

One of the best pubs I’ve ever drank and eaten at. The food is amazing. Staff are incredible and can’t do enough for you! My children love this pub also games for children and a great choice of games too!

A family friendly, welcoming pub. The new owners have introduced community events such as Chatty Cafe. Not tried the food yet but have enjoyed a drink in the ample beer garden (including play equipment and table tennis table).

We had a lovely evening. The service was impeccable as always. We enjoyed a lovely drink in the bar before going to our table. The food was absolutely delicious and there were was a great selection of drinks. All the staff were so professional and friendly. I would definitely recommend it.

Not been to Shampan for a fair while, we live 45 mins away); needed have worried service was impeccable, food excellent and venue superb. Nice to see some staff members still in place. Well done

Didn't eat here but had a nice pint of real ale. Dog friendly. Large car park with overflow. Covered outer building as well as a garden area. A nice traditional unpretentious country pub.

Birthday celebration lunch. Seven adults and two children under 3 years old. We had the Sunday buffet which was delicious with a wide variety of options, all kept at just the right temperature. The buffet included desserts. Something for everyone here, even numerous vegetarian options. The service was superb, we were really well looked after. Having the little ones with us wasn't a problem as the staff seemed to be very comfortable having them there. We will definitely be booking to come here again.

Brilliant food well presented and very tasty, a bit trumpy but worth it for a special occasion

Here comes a big secret... if you part with around five of his Majesty's pounds, the serving wenches will give you a full glass of happiness... this will keep happening until you fall down or happiness ends. Update... you can also food at curtain times of the day. This wonder and joy will come out from the back on a plate or board. No surprise it tastes wonderful.

What can I say Just walked to this pub to have a drink and some food. Ordered the drinks, then when I asked for the menu, I was told that the chef was having a night off. I was so hopeful and wanted to support the local pub. A young couple have taken over this pub and started to offer food. I am not very happy as the sign boards outside the pub state that food is available 1700 to 2000 on a Saturday evening. Now, we have to walk home and rustle up a meal. I was disappointed and annoyed. Oh, I was so hopeful. Will not be trying this again,not the way to run a business No, not for me!

Excellent food, menu different to many other Indian restaurants, smallish menu but better for being more focused. Good service - attentive but did not over do it

The staff were exceptionally friendly, funny, professional and could not be any more helpful! The decor was stunning, and the ambience was just calming and relaxing, just what I needed after a very long and tiring day! The owner came to check on us personally and answered questions I had regarding holding my registry and a party there. I’ve been delaying to go there and I wish I didn’t, I will be taking my friends and family there for the foreseeable future!

Drink quality poor my mixer was flat sent this back but was still on bill although got removed when paying Unfortunately both myself and husband experienced stomach upset when home! Service wasn’t too bad considering it was very busy

Greeted on arrival, made to feel welcome, waiters were well dressed, polite, patient and built a good rapport with us. Our only problem was trying to catch somebody’s to pay the bill. Great place for families, friends and celebrations

Absolutely outstanding on all counts - cooking, service and overall experience. The chef is extremely talented and produces flavoursome Indian dishes that offer much more than other 'run of the mill' Indian restaurants. He came and spoke to us after our meal and is clearly proud of what he produces, and rightly so. Staff are friendly, helpful and attentive but without being obtrusive, getting the balance just right to allow us to enjoy the company of friends who were equally impressed. We cannot praise this restaurant enough and it will now become our new guilty pleasure. Big thank you to an amazing team!

We went to celebrated my mum's birthday and had a really nice meal. All the dishes were great.

Stylish top quality restaurant. Hadn’t been for several years and wanted to celebrate my wife’s birthday in style. Shampan at The Spinning Wheel was everything I had remembered and some. Wonderful staff, excellent food and beautiful surroundings. 5 Stars!!

Beautiful restaurant. The waiters were fantastic and very attentive. The food came promptly and was delicious. The cocktails were amazing too. At the end of the meal we were sitting chatting and they offered us a comfy chair in their lounge which was cosy and relaxed. I can’t wait to go back again. Definitely recommend.

Such a lovely restaurant, different to the normal Indian restaurants. If you want something a bit more special this is the place . Staff are lovely along with the great food

Amazing food that couldn’t be faulted I will definitely go back again, amazing staff who are attentive and friendly but…..the atmosphere felt like a school canteen - no music, really bright lights, lots of children running around - such a shame. I’m assuming that Sundays are more busy and attending one evening will be a better experience.

This was our first time here and we were very impressed. It was a lovely large restaurant with 2 lounges to enjoy a drink before our meal. The staff were very friendly and attentive and the food was fantastic. I can't recommend it enough.

Biswash was fantastic… what a guy, guiding us through the menu and likes and dislikes… food was amazing, un rushed, skilfully dealt with and a must to visit

The restaurant decor is welcoming and the staff were all very pleasant and attentive. The food was a little bland and lacked depth of flavour. It was also served very quick which makes me wonder if it is precooked. They also served papadums and chutney without us ordering them but added them to the bill at the end. The restaurant has potential but the food needs to improve given the prices charged for it to be 5 star.

The food was outstanding. The lamb chops were divine. Good atmosphere- nice to sit in cocktail area for a couple of drinks first before heading into dining area. Nice mix of ages and groups, as well as couples. You can enjoy a standard Indian dish, or try some authentic Indian cooking. Good wine list as well.

Absolutely outstanding service as always and the best Indian food we have ever tasted. Such a fantastic experience dining at the Shampan spinning wheel. We hadn’t been in over 5 years, but the experience and food was even better than we remembered. Pricey, but worth every penny.

Stunning looking restaurant which made us really excited for our dinner. The food was nice enough but we couldn’t help but feel that the service lacked a personal touch. It all felt like we were on a conveyor belt as we weren’t asked if we wanted more drinks and were presented with our bill before asking for it. So whilst the food was good, we won’t be rushing back.

Very many thanks to the wonderful team at the Shampan at the Spinning Wheel for making my husband's 70th birthday meal such a special time for our family group of 12. We all thought the food was truly delicious and beautifully presented and the service throughout was excellent. We were made to feel so welcome!

Lovely venue. Cold. Not enough prawns. Spent a lot of money and not even a drink on the house.

Lovely place, food was great (as it has been every time I have visited) We asked to move due to being placed close to a large table (they were not rowdy, just we could not hear each other talking) and the staff were very accommodating. Hope to go back soon.

The food and service were very good indeed, but the restaurant was very cold and I had to keep my coat on which really spoiled it. I did mention it to the waiter but don’t think it was addressed.

Staff really friendly. Pool table affordable and fun. Lots of space in and around pub. Lovely atmosphere.

Joined the chatty cafe morning on Thursday and had a great time. Free coffee and teas with home made pastries. Had the chance to catch up with other residents of the village and share a story or two.

I was passing through and not a local, I live in Leicester and dined at very fine places and well as India. I found The Restaurant staffing is very professional and well mannered, excellent food as well. If you enjoy Indian food they have a very good variety to suit many choices. With outstanding seating area to have drinks beforehand as well. Thank you to the restaurant team for looking after me Tuesday Night.

On buffet day there was no potato dish at all had to order Bombay potato separately. There has never been chicken tikka masala on any of the Sundays we have attended (the most popular curry choice I would say) so overall disappointed as we cannot get the dishes we would normally order without buying off the main menu.

Sunday buffet lunch with family which was great value for money and an adequate selection of delicious dishes Our only slight criticism would be the service was a little slow for drinks but didn't impact our visit. Will definitely be returning at some point.

Beautifully prepared food , delicious and plentiful. Very attentive staff and good service. The location is remote but perched upon the top of Westerham Hill is an ideal setting.

Visited the Shampan for a birthday meal. We all had a fabulous time. We ad pre drinks in the lovely bar area before sitting for dinner. Service great and the food was fabulous. There was a large group of us and we all enjoyed what we ate. Staff friendly and professional. We will alll be back.
