Nice food, carvery is excellent with a nice selection of meats and vegetables. The set menu for £14.95 for 3 courses is very good value, I did this and had chicken pieces for starter. Fish and chips for the main and sticky toffee pudding for dessert.

We as a family of 6 love coming here. We came today 14-4-2025 we sat around the pool table area an had are carvery. Then my boys wanted to play pool which they do everytime we come 😊 the staff I think girl named Ella was really nice serving us at bar. The lady who i think was the manager was sound as I asked her if my boys we're being to loud playing pool an she said no there alright so yes all in all this is a great place to eat an drink an we will be back. Great customer service 🙂🙂

Visited our favourite Stonehouse as usual this Sunday, once again a warm welcome from all the friendly team. Lovely Sunday roast as always. Well done guys Thanks to the lovely Lyndsey and all the team once again for another tasty Sunday roast, made even tastier than usual with the added additional roasted parsnips, onion gravy & pork crackling. Great job guys - you're amazing. Visited again today for our usual Sunday Roast - warm welcome from all the team, special thanks to Kenny & Co for a spot on dinner as always. We had the most warmest welcome and a fantastic carvery meal here . The kids had ice cream from a jazzy machine which they loved doing themselves . Lovely pint of madri . We will definitely come back .

The lovely manager fit 9 of us in on mother's day, last minute. Food was great, staff were lovely, play area outside for kids. Couldn't ask for more! Will definitely be returning.

Had a great meal here on Mothers day. They managed to fit a family of 9, 6 Adults and 3 Children in at 5pm, my son rang at 4pm! This was the only Table they had free all day. The Food was great, plenty of choice and everyone enjoyed there meal. The staff very friendly and attentive even though they were rushed off there feet.

The wheatsheef inn is a wonderful family restaurant. Food was on point, staff were fantastic and friendly. My daughter was extremely impressed with her bottomless icecream sundae! Can’t wait to come back

After a long day we decided to go out for tea. Philly burger was amazing. Cheesy mash on the carvery is a must! All staff were so nice and friendly to everyone, they couldn't do enough for you. Would definitely recommend.

Nice hot carvery , mix of Beef , Gammon and Turkey. Plenty of vegetables and various types of Potatoes. Two different types of gravy . An Onion Gravy and a Roast Gravy.

Popped into this little gem 💎 for a cheeky drink and food. The food and service was second to none. Highly recommended. Lynsdey, the manager, is an absolute legend ! The pub is camper van friendly as long as you go in and have a drink/food she is more than happy for you to stay in the car park overnight . Super friendly place to go Thanks again for looking after us! Hope to see you again soon

We had pizza and it was great. The kids ate really well too, the food came out quickly and the prices were very reasonable. No real ales though!

Went Llangollen for the day but after checking several places there (Corn Mill fully booked ) we weren’t impressed and came home and had a delicious roast as always that was perfect and great price too

Update on the update. It looks like all is well again at the Wheatsheaf, back to their usual high standards of customer services. Loving the new addition to the hot plate, ❤️ CHEESY MASH ❤️ Update. This place seems to be on a downhill slide. I recently popped in for a breakfast but as it was 11:30 they had stopped serving breakfast and the carvery was up and running instead, well it would have been if there had been a carver at the counter... The whole time I was in the pub I watched time after time, people standing, waiting at the counter, waiting, and waiting untill one of the bar staff would notice and then go out back to chase the chef out to carve. I myself waited a good 15 to minutes to be served the thinnest and smallest slice of turkey I had ever been served in a carvery, anywhere! Maybe they had anticipated a slow day as there was actually very little on the hot plates. They ran out of items several times, leading to even longer waits. The usual crowd of happy eaters that you will find here had been transformed into a dour and sullen bunch, and their frustration was tangible. Such a disappointment compared to the usual dining experience I know and love here, finngers crossed that they were only having an off day. ===≈==========≈======= I was a bit reluctant to dine here, not because I had heard anything bad about the place but simply because it is a Stonehouse. I have never had a pleasant dining experience in one of their pubs. My daughter in law had, however, been here for an all you can eat breakfast experience and found it to be okay food but great service, so we decided to give their carvery a go. I have to agree with her, the staff and pub are amazing, friendly, attentive and the pub itself is well maintained a clean. The food is well cooked, it is, however, just so average... That being said, if you're dining on a budget and are looking for a no thrills roast, then this is the place to be. Honestly if the Alma inn in Lower Upham, Hampshire could get up to this standard I would start doing group rides there again but alas it has been a few years now and is still not worth a visit. So well done, Wheatsheaf, you turned this old soldier around, and I will be back for more, maybe not with 30 riders in tow but definitely with the family 👍 Edit. Popped back to try the breakfast, and I wasn't disappointed. £8.49 for an AYCE breaky with bottomless coffee, awesome. The coffee was not the best and a tad on the weak side. The food, while not being top quality, is well cooked and presented. All in all, a very, very good breakfast that is extremely good value 😋👍

We absolutely love it! Can’t go wrong really, in love with their roasties😍 service is always great too! Lucy on bar is the loveliest lady such positive energy and easy to talk to , Brian’s a lovely bloke we had a good conversation with the guy, Kenny on the carvery’s always nice too, other staff members as well, it’s just nice people working there and good vibes in the place.

Our family celebrated mums birthday meal and we all had a lovely meal. The leval of service from all the staff was exceptional. Will recommend to all other family and friends

Service was good, but only turkey left on the cavery. Place was pretty much empty with only a few tables taken. Other food on the cavery had obviously been sat for quite a while, so it wasn't the best. Myself and my partner fell ill the next day and put this down to the food. I'd definitely look at the food before paying to check your getting fresh & edible food. If it's quiet I'd probably avoid the place.

We went to the wheatsheaf for a friend’s birthday lunch. The staff were so friendly and accommodating and despite being short-staffed went out of their way to make our time special. The carvery was generous, the choice wide and varied and there was as much there as you could want. Very good value. We will definitely be back.

Nice place to go and staff is so cooperative

From one famous chef to another, I got to sample the Mid week carvery and it was outstanding. The meats were so delicious and tender, some the best I’ve ever had. Vegetables were fresh and hot with the roasties fluffy and crispy. New cheesy mash was a welcome addition to the menu. Finished off with an ice cream sundae with sauces and fruity sugar bits. A nice refreshment after the meal. Great meal and served to an excellent standard from the chef and staff on duty.

DO NOT EAT HERE!!!! i came here with all my family 5 days ago and have had really really bad food poisoning ever since, the first night i was projectile vomiting for 2 hours solid, then had really bad stomache cramps and diahorhea and still have that now 5 DAYS LATER, i had to take two days off work unpaid aswel at 150 pound a day! its safe to say i will never be returning to this pub ever again, i had a double cheese burger meal with pulled pork on top just incase someone else was going to order that

Brought some of my elderly friends out for lunch as we have all been stuck in for weeks due to the poor weather and a break from the same four walls were needed. Thanks to the friendly, helpful bar staff and happy cook. You all helped make our day and we give you 5 stars each. Nice day out, super dinner and we are all cheered up and happy bunnies.

We had a gift card from Christmas soo we came along. We had a fantastic meal from the main menu, ow my god it was way and above what we thought we were going to get. Highly recommend the combo stater and the burgers and meaty and tasty. Sandwich was in good quality bread with quality fillings to boot. Cocktails yummy!

We had the pleasure of having our family Christmas dinner at the Wheatsheaf and we couldn't have been happier, if we could give more than 5 stars we would. Right from first booking our table everything went great, they were very accommodating of the needs of my SEN son. When we arrived our table was ready and very Christmasy, the food was hot and all of it delicious and the staff were super friendly. We had a fantastic meal and will definitely be returning.
