Pequeño. Tradicional. Se enorgullece de su comida, en particular sus pasteles. Y las pintas son un buen complemento refrescante bien cuidado.

Traté con el hombre más horrible de este pub. Llegué para reunirme con unos amigos para almorzar. Tuve a mi bebé en un cochecito. Apenas entré por la puerta. El miembro del personal me dio una mirada que me hizo sentir muy desagradable. Luego me dijo que no me permitían entrar al comedor con mi cochecito. Me dio la opción de 2 mesas altas con taburetes altos sin respaldo. Claramente estos no eran adecuados para comer con un bebé en mis brazos. Sentí que no me querían allí y esta fue su forma de echarme sin pedirme formalmente que me fuera. Cuando le dije al funcionario que sentía que estaba siendo grosero y discriminando a las mujeres con hijos, me encontré con una actitud espinosa. Esquivó todas las “cosas correctas” pero de una manera grosera casi burlona. Agarró una silla baja del respaldo y me la lanzó a mi manera, esto no parecía un gesto genuino de ayuda. ¿Cómo iba a sentarme a comer en una mesa alta con una silla baja? También ladró diciendo que estaba ocupado tratando con los clientes de una manera que implicaba que yo no era un cliente, sino que mis 5 colegas de trabajo y yo teníamos la intención de pedir comida y bebida. No llegué hasta el comedor para ver si el cochecito realmente encajaba o no, pero soy una persona razonable, obviamente no me habría sentado en ningún lugar donde hubiera bloqueado al personal o restringido a otros clientes. El pub estaba prácticamente vacío en ese momento, sospecho que había espacio. No estaba planeando quedarme más de 45 minutos, ya que me reunía con algunos amigos en sus descansos para almorzar fuera del trabajo. Dudo que hubiera una locura en ese tiempo, era martes y el pub estaba muerto. También los cochecitos se doblan, el bebé iba a estar en mis brazos durante la comida de todos modos. Definitivamente había espacio para estacionar el cochecito ordenadamente en una esquina y no afectar a nadie, ya que era tan tranquilo en ese momento. Podría entender si era un día más ocupado como un jueves o viernes, pero no en el día en cuestión. Usted tiene derecho a no dar la bienvenida a las mujeres con niños en su establecimiento, pero esto debe quedar claro con la señalización en su fuerte y yo en su sitio web. No estaría tan enojado por la situación si el funcionario hubiera tratado el tema de una manera más respetuosa y educada.

This is where Dylan Thomas met Caitlin. They were introduced by Augustus John. It is where George Stafford met Mabel, and where I met my own future wife in 1969. Back then if you asked for food it was 'Salt and vinegar or plain', dear. Things are a bit different now, with a hearty pub menu, some very fine ales and wines, and friendly and efficient staff. Very little has been lost of the 1920s and '30s interior, so do pay it a visit and imagine the ghosts of London's inter-war Bohemians crowding around the bar.

Visited after a disappointing experience at another pub nearby. A good atmosphere and very efficient bar staff. Had a couple of drinks and enjoyed a pleasant hour. A good traditional London pub with a nice mixed clientele.

Relatively young pub with interesting literary history from Julian Maclaren-Ross and Dylan Thomas. The bar is small and so is the back room, but it is quite cozy with a wallpaper straight from your grandmother’s house. Nice service. They pour a good Guinness. Quality pub.

Only popped in to kill some time and decided on dessert... ended up with one of the best Sticky Toffee Puddings I've ever had. Practically melted in my mouth. The super nice staff was just a bonus.

I pop into The Wheatsheaf quite regularly, for both drinks and food. The service is always fantastic and the pie selection on the food menu is excellent.

Great location wasn't too busy for a Thursday night. Bar staff pleasant, atmosphere good. Cosy setting

Visited Thursday night, small traditional London pub. Service good and good choice of beers, well priced.

Went for a few drinks early evening before going on to a restaurant for a meal. I really enjoyed the pub as the welcome was nice and the beers were very good . Nice selection of beers. I was happy that the place was quiet with enough seating as I could relax.The pub has a small area down stairs and expect it is standing room only when busy. I really enjoyed the visit

Visiting home, I wanted to take my wife to a typically old school London pub. It certainly ticks all of the boxes for everything someone from outside the UK would want to see in a London pub. The interior, the decor, the furniture and the drinks on offer are almost a tip of the hat to those seeking an authentic London pub experience. Beautifully preserved, friendly and welcoming service and reasonably priced ale.

Dîner dans un pub typique avec du personnel très agréable une déco comme on les aime cuir bois et tapisserie d’un autre temps. Les pies et le fish and ship sont très bons. Tout ça entourés de locaux. Un plaisir.

We were 10 people we book and sent out menu choices , but the staff seem to be confused with the orders . It was a bit uncomfortable as some of the group had to wait for there food. Otherwise good place to eat food was good , not as warm as I would have liked service was a bit slow . Perhaps because it was busy . On the whole nice pub and good food . You'll probably get better service when they are not so busy.

Popped in here for a sharpener before going to Pisqu next door (see seperate review). One of those great old London pubs with original features unspoilt by the trends of modernisation. Good pint of Doom Bar (never fails) and plenty of space notwithstanding the time 6.00pm and proximity to bustle of Oxford Street. Indeed a pleasant surprise to find somewhere not rammed so close to tourist central. Well worth a slight detour to.

Love the vegan and vegetarian burger! The only thing it missed was a bit of more lettuce... but still super tasty! Huge bowl of chips for the price! Liked it! It's a small cozy little pub perfect for a quiet lunch!

Close to Oxford Street lies this little (well actually quite big) gem, away from people and with a delicious fish'n'chips.

We stopped in while walking around Soho. The staff were very friendly and the vibe is exactly what I was wanting to find here in London. Local English drinks with proper food! Small menu bit very affordable and fresh!

I just moved to this area, and was checking out nice little locals in the area. This one was really cosy and I've been a few times now. Friendly staff, lovely Landlord and great pint of Guinness!

Hyggelig pub med rimelige priser. Den er ikke overrendt på trods af den centrale placering. Vi kommer gerne igen.

Yo solía trabajar a unas puertas del trigos en los años ochenta y tenía recuerdos muy gratos de este pequeño pub tradicional en la parte superior de Rathbone.

Pub molto grazioso e gradevolmente arredato: la scelta di birre non è immensa, ma il cibo è ottimo ed economico (pie a £8) e l'ambiente è tranquillo e rilassante. Un po' lento il servizio.

Un pub de la vieja escuela, con precios razonables y un personal amable. Me encanta la parte de arriba o intermedias en el comedor. El pub tenía mucha historia con poetas y escritores que solía venir aquí como dylan thomas y George Orwell.

Visited on a quiet evening, probably a lot busier on Fridays.Traditional, very comfortable and with good mulled wine.

Not onlt the food but the whole product offering at this restaurant was excellent. All reasonably priced for this part of town. i recommend this place.
