I came to have dinner with my friends today and ordered hot fried kidneys, sweet and sour chicken, and stir-fried green beans. Every dish was a surprise! The hot roasted kidneys are cooked just right, with a crispy and tender texture. The sauce is particularly tasty, with no fishy smell at all, and is spicy and satisfying. The sweet and sour chicken is moderately sweet, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. You can feel the juice and fruity aroma in every bite, making it very appetizing. The stir-fried green beans are fragrant and delicious, and the seasoning is just right. The green beans are fresh and tender but have a bit of burnt aroma, which is super satisfying to eat! Overall, the food is of a high standard, the portions are sufficient, the service attitude is very good, the environment is clean and comfortable, and the price/performance ratio is very high. Will definitely come back to try other dishes in the future! Highly recommended!

The best Northeastern cuisine in London, close to UCL. The portion is huge, you can basically order one meal and eat two meals. A wet January early evening and we were hungry. In wd go to a canteen style room, no one rise there and server in a padded jacket. We ordered mixed platter starter and Kung Po chicken and Shredded Pork main dishes with 1 egg fried rice. The starter was priced at nearly £30 and had 2 mini spring rolls, 2 mini thai fish cakes, 2 chicken satay skewers and 2 prawn toasts. Disappointing amounts for that price. Main dishes were okay, but not wonderful. Our total bill for that plus 2 bottles of beer was £80+ - we expected more at those prices. The menu was quite extensive and they also had a separate menu with all sorts of Chinese delicacies, like deep fried pigs intestines so potentially very popular for anyone looking for authentic,but not the things for us.

Don't be fooled by its humble appearance! Excellent szechuan cuisine, with very good portions at fair prices. I've tried lots of szechuan places, and keep returning to this one! Great kou shui ji ("mouth watering" chilled chilli oil chicken), ma yi shang shu (chilli vermicelli), and si ji dou (fried string beans).

Mediocre & expensive. Had broccoli with garlic, roast pork buns, pork dumplings, roast duck with pancakes. I wouldn't recommend any of these. Broccoli was basic, buns aren't fresh, duck was dry, dumplings stodgy. With a pot of jasmine tea, £66 in total for 2. Quite authentic- chipped plates and tea pots, staff in sweatpants, chaotic.
