We had lunch menu - 2 plates for 12£ per person. I tried chicken pasta w špínách and fries with pork, both very good. The waiter was very polite and sympathetic. Water for free included, great!

We had the £12 lunch which allowed us to choose two dishes. We started with mushroom Bruchetta, then I had chicken and spinach tagliatelle and my husband had the fries with pulled pork. It was all delicious.

Good place to eat freshly made pasta next to Victoria street

A small wine bar serving cicchetto. Nice vibrant place where I nipped into for a drink. Hence, there is no rating on the food. The wine was pricey but nice and it was a pleasant hour enjoying the surroundings.

We have the most delicious breakfast, very crispy bacon on my delicious French toast and really good pancakes with strawberry compote and mascarpone. The best cappuccinos ever and very good value. Thank you very much.

Found this lovely place off the end of Princes Street and had a great brunch followed by a cocktail. Could not fault the service or the food. A good place to sit and relax before continuing your day or evening

I am gluten free. There are several gluten free options for appetizers, which is wonderful. However, there is only one main course that can be made gluten free and it is without protein. When I asked whether I might add a protein to my meal (such as shrimp, which my partner was having in his meal) I was provided a curt "no". I was shocked that such a response would be provided to such a simple request. I would have, of course, expected to pay for the extra protein. Our food arrived and we were underwhelmed at the flavors. My partner had a seafood medley pasta and I had the parmesan risotto. His was to have shrimp and scallops. The shrimp was overcooked and the scallops were, at most, perhaps one scallop that had been chopped into four pieces. My meal was mediocre in flavor and I could not taste the pumpkin pieces in it. We shared the creamy chicken with fig on toast (gluten free) appetizer. It, too, did not live up to flavors, though the figs were fresh and tasty. We are good cooks and both remarked how easy it would have been to make each dish taste better. We did not finish our meals. We skipped dessert for fear it, too, would be underwhelming.

We had a little bit of everything. Really nice food with a lot of flavour. Lovely, friendly staff.

Very efficient friendly staff. Enjoyable evening. Whilst what I wanted on the menu they managed to produce a very acceptable alternative,

I got the squid appetizer along with the pork and lamb meatballs + tagliatelle. The meatballs were delicious, but both the squid and pasta were way over cooked. The pasta was falling apart on my fork. The salad thing that came with the calamari was straight up salty without much flavour. Overall really underwhelmed by the food. Great service though.

Great food choices and extremely fresh! We had the ravioli and aubergine and pistachio bruschetta, chef was kind enough to alter the ravioli sauce to our liking (and it was super tasty!) Some items on the menu weren’t available, which wasn’t highlighted until we ordered, disappointing but there was lots of choice. Had the affogato to finish; their coffee blend was great, highly recommend! Lovely ambience and great for a catch up with friends or a date. Best of all, they were dog friendly :)

My wife and myself a dined here for the first time on Friday 19th Sept and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Staff were very friendly and efficient and the food was excellent,especially having our pasta cooked not al dente as we prefer it well cooked. Altogether a very enjoyable evening and we will definitely come back

Found this little gem following an online search. Everything was lovely. Staff were accommodating when we arrived early for our table, service was fantastic, staff pleasant, food choice was just right, food was so tasty and decor modern. Next time we’re in Edinburgh we will definitely be back.

Compramos un vale Itison para probar algunos de sus bocadillos. Muy sabrosa pero la salsa de tomate era un poco demasiado rica para mí. Bebidas a precios razonables y compraron unos aperitivos extra. Era viernes a la hora de comer y todas las mesas estaban ocupadas. No podíamos creer el excelente servicio que todos recibieron a pesar de haber solo un miembro del personal. ¡Creo que merece un aumento de sueldo!

Excellent food and friendly service as always. Extensive menu and a lovely restaurant for either a quick lunch or a relaxing evening. Wine list is reasonably priced and offers plenty choice. We tend to order a selection of the small plates to share - most recent visit we shared 10 dishes between 4 for an evening meal.

Eight of us met for lunch and we were met with friendly staff, a super choice of food which was lovely. Overall lunch cost was good, only wished they had their offer on but appreciated it’s was during the festival and they didn’t have it on during the weekend. Will definitely return as will family members.

Awful pizza dry bread and olive bread sticks I nearly broke my teeth on base of pizza just snapped into bits all over cooked and hardly any filling on to just 2 meat balls

I visited The West Room either a friend . I did t know what to expect. The ambiance was just great , high ceilings , rustic feel , tables well spaced. The staff are just so welcoming and even though they were busy nothing was too much trouble. The food is simply wonderful. Tapas style service to die for . If you want to impress someone without it bring over the top take them here. The value is excellent . Def worth a try

Had a great first time experience, staff so friendly, food was delicious and I have had stomach surgery so the small plates were perfect for me. Our waitress was so nice, we were still drinking when the next guests for our table had arrived, our waitress said she could move us to a smaller table to let us continue with our visit instead of rushing us away. Will definitely be back 👍

First and foremost, the person who served us was lovely, always smiling, and super helpful. At one point, a fly landed in my date’s glass of wine, and it was replaced without question or charge. The food was delicious, my first time trying Arancini, and it didn’t disappoint! I would 100% recommend and will be back.

Looking for a light lunch in the West End and found this new concept - Italian tapas. Interesting mixture and good wine list. Also admired the manager for pointing out after we had chosen that we could have the same a bit cheaper off of the lunchtime table de hote.

We have previously been here albeit at the weekend and the service was great. Yesterday we arrived for a 4pm booking at 3.45 the door was locked the waitress signalled that they weren’t open. We knew our booking was for 4pm and were happy to wait. The waitress opened the door and we told her we had a booking for 4pm she said for future information we don’t open until 4pm we asked which table we were to sit at and she said anywhere. She didn’t show us to any tables we just had to choose a table ourselves. Her attitude was fairly poor. We also had requested a bottle of bollinger champagne at the time of booking and we received a message 30 minutes beforehand saying they were out of stock I would have expected more notice than this or at least an attempt to source it. Overall it wasn’t the best experience compared to our 3 last visits it’s disappointing as it was my husbands birthday.

Excellent service and food. Visited for an after graduation meal with two young kids in tow. Waiter was very friendly and attentive, food served promptly and great selection of food and drink. Even suggested we ordered too much food (which we had!) Stupidly left my SLR camera behind but the waiter tracked us down half way along the street! Very grateful indeed. 5 stars all round.

What a gorgeous night! We had such a lovely time at the WestRoom with such lovely and welcoming staff who made delicious drinks and helped us have a relaxing Saturday night in the heart of Edinburgh. Really reasonable prices too. We found it by chance but will definitely be coming back!

Lovely bar/restaurant situated in the west end of Edinburgh's city centre. Staff were friendly, food was nice and reasonably priced. There was a great selection of wines on offer.

The setting is very pub-like upon entry, but the seating area round the back is nicer. Not sure why there are paintings of postcard-like Italy in places. Service was pleasant. Food was not great, the plates were cold and the food was cold and some over seasoned and overcooked. I don’t think they charged us fully because they could see we didn’t eat the plates.

Whilst it states cicchetti (which are small, mouthful, Venetian snacks) the the dishes are more akin to "Spanish tapas". There is a good variety of dishes and wines on offer. The 4 four dishes that we had were all very good . Well prepared and presented by friendly professional staff. We had a very enjoyable meal.

A pre-theatre meal started the evening perfectly

We last visited pre Covid under previous owners but it remains true to its ethos of great value Italian cicchetti served with a smile and now featuring a small Indian curry dish, well done and all superb. Service was impeccable and food delicious plus good value wines.

Absolutely amazing Brunch and totally Italian inspired and cooked to perfection. Great coffee and the server was the friendliest, most hospitable ever! Will definitely be back, and as an Edinburgh resident, it's a gem to find!

Excellent high quality breakfast! Large portion, absolutele worth the money. Although when we came, they had already stopped serving breakfast menu, they cooked it for us. And even more, that is the first place, that has 2 lady's room and one gent's, which is just a respect😎😎

Absolutely amazing food. The on-the-day home made ravioli was just amazing. We got around 7-8 small plates that came to a mount of £60, worth every single penny can't complain about anything. Amazing friendly service, will be back next time we're up like.

It's actually Italian not Spanish though. Food was nice, my kids enjoyed the fries, good place to chill out.
