Really busy pub in the centre of Dalton... Prices rival witherspoons.... Excellent value for money!!!!

Stopped with the kids whilst staying locally. Played darts and pool, cheered in the walkers that were doing a charity event and sat in the beer garden.

Gone from a one star to a five star due to the new land lady Paris and how kind and welcoming she's made me and my polecat troy feel whist having a good pint on my many visits

Great location, mainly a sports bar with great beers. They currently don't serve food since its changed ownership. Great atmosphere and service

Visited here for pre-dinner drinks whilst staying locally. Not a good first impression as we had to walk through a gaggle of smokers congregated around the entrance to get in. There were a lot of people behind the bar, but seemingly only one or two actually serving drinks. They had a decent drinks selection available & a couple of gin related offers on the go, of which we partook. Most of the clientele were pretty vocal with their views & expletives, but friendly nonetheless. Overall a decent spot with good prices, but it could be vastly improved by having a dedicated smoking area, to stop the smoke-screen at the entrance, & a few more serving staff, & less hangers on, behind the bar.

Great prices, great value for money

This pub does alot of fundraising for the community, I attended a function here last week when they raised funds for St Mary's Hospice. Warm welcome, drinks reasonably priced too.

If you just want a drink with friends you have never met - this is for you. Bar staff are lovely. Customers are bob-on. Great place. I have been coming here for 33 yrs ànd it is always grand. Entertainment regularly. Highly recommended.

Horrible pub, rough and sticky feeling. Loads of shouting and swearing coming from the pool table area and people falling over drunk in the early evening when we visited. Not pleasant at all! There are many better options available.

First time in the Wellington yesterday. Good atmosphere. Friendly locals with a great sense of humour. Toilets were great. Weekly entertainment on offer, live music and karaoke. Will definitely be back again to see how lively it is in the evenings.

Went in late at night and they served me some pizzas even though the kitchen was closed! We really appreciated as it was a bit of an emergency. Pizza was good. Staff were a delight. Super rate it!!!!

Cheapest drinks! After paying nearly £4 a pint up the road to get two pints, one Carling and one Stella, for £5.30 was a welcome surprise. Followed by spirits at £3 or £4 for a double including mixer, what more could you want?

Good local pub, many TV screens showing sports and such events. There is a pool table and a dart board as comfortable seating and spacious room. Decent enough local on the centre of town, also offers a venue for private events while also offering rooms for an overnight stay.

The welly is a nice place for a casual drink and catch up with friends. Not too loud, never much trouble. Always good for a social get together as it's a pretty big establishment to fit everyone in.

The average pub in the middle of a small town Very run down and good do with an interior designer getting amongst it. The only consolation is that the beer is relatively cheap.

Nice place to stay. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. They are not en suite. There is shared bathrooms and toilets. The staff were friendly. The breakfast was good. It is great value for money.

Told us we can have two nights but then when we arrived we were only given the room for one. The caretaker then told us what to do instead of the manager. Sent us out into rain to a different pub. Poor management but friendly staff.

firstly, let me say that the rooms are clean, the beds are comfy, and the staff are very friendly and very helpful. however, we were unaware at time of booking that the rooms are directly above a pub, have communal bathrooms, are rather dated, and the family room we stayed in had old-style single glazed sash windows. sadly this did mean road noise was worse than my youngest daughter could sleep through, although in fairness we didn't hear much from the pub at all. so, a mixed bag, really. can't fault the staff or the service at all, but it does need bringing up to date - and making more family friendly.
