We had 2 Sunday roast beef dinners absolutely first class. 2 vegan guests thoroughly enjoyed their meals as well.

Perfect 👌🏼 absolutely amazing food, staff went above and beyond, even cooked me vegan meatballs that weren’t on the menu. Vegan cheesecake was glorious, the best I’ve ever had. Staff were so friendly and welcoming. Couldn’t recommend more.

Great food, great drinks, and great service.

Staff helpful nice seating at the back and small seating area at front . Food was nice although we didn't have a full meal but l9aded chips which were lovely. I'm sure their food would be of high quality .

Have to say one of my favourite restaurants. But!! It has gone up a notch or 2 and I didn't think it was possible. Dined alone today which was really nice. The prawns to start with were the best I've eaten anywhere in the 🌎 Then a lovely chicken dinner. Wish I would of chosen the fillet steak though. Just fancied traditional. Top service from everyone & chef Ian is the best in the business 😘

Called in to The Waterside Restaurant, and wow --what a fantastic welcome....all the staff were so attentive. The place filled up quite fast at about 6.30pm Saturday, so the atmosphere was great as well. Can't praise the food highly enough...my partner had steak and I had fish -both were delicious-cooked to perfection. Its been a long time since we have re-found a place like this ....very highly recommended 👌

Nice place food was spot on , and freshly cooked , only downside was staff kept asking g do you want another drink 🍸 when still not half way through 1st drinks , got bill then realised why ,very expensive drinks double jd+coke £15 so be warned

Fish was cold. Sent back to warm up and got a new fish that was pink and all batter. 2 chicken wings starters pre ordered a week before were substituted with chicken goujons with no apology. How can you not get food thats been pre ordered.

Just about 3 weeks ago we had a most wonderful 70ies birthday party with 34 people for a late lunch. The lunch was excellent, with a carefully selected choice of menus with every dish being excellent. Lisa and her crew made the organisation and serving so easy, so effortless, so natural and cheerful. They simply were part of the family. We had the entire restaurant for ourselves with an open bar, two long interlinked tables and several small tables for spontaneous brake-off groups. Everyone was delighted, we could not have imagined it any better. The total price for these festivities was very reasonable! Thank you to Lisa and the entire Waterfront Restaurant Serving and Kitchen Team for the great party and the excellent food. My husband and all guests just loved it!

Had an amazing meal at the waterside today. First time we have been there. Very friendly staff, lovely and clean interior. I will be going back again as there are four or five things on menu I would love to try. It's not a cheap place but also not expensive, very well presented and worth every penny, our compliments to the chef.

Can't fault the food and the service

The food was Brilliant, The beer was brilliant and both good value, but we bought 3 cocktails from the un priced blackboard, big mistake £42 for 3 cocktails, spoilt our otherwise good night

Ate lunch there yesterday, had the burgers and sweet potato fries. Very Hot, fresh, tasty. I would go there again.

Gorgeous small plates, I had the sweet chilli salmon, goats cheese parcel and dragon fries and all of it was amazing. Tried a bit of my boyfriends steak as well and that was gorgeous.

We booked the cabin for my mum’s 60th birthday. It was absolutely perfect from start to finish. Lisa and the team allowed us to go earlier to add some decorations. The cabin itself is a beautiful venue ideal for small parties. The staff were so attentive and informative. The food was absolutely delicious. It was a perfect experience and made my mum’s birthday extra special. Thank you all.

I brought my family over for dinner and They did their very best to fit us in even though it was a last minute thing! The staff were very attentive and respectful, the food was top quality and the presentation of the dishes was incredible! Lisa the owner was very busy serving and making sure everyone were happy, We will DEFINITELY come back!

Wasn't aware different menu on Xmas eve. Sat by door, bad start. Table had drink rings and tomato ketchup. Asked waitress to clean table. She cleaned 1 place setting, there were 3 of us. Asked another waitress to clean, pointed ketchup at 2 places on table. More or less asked to order starters as delay in getting food out. Should offer free starter if delay. Garlic bread 10.50 - like a flat bread, not bread like. Bottle of cider 6.75. When came for order, said couple of specials, might not have burgers on ( would have left if this was case). £21 for burger - told no pigs in blankets to go with them....lamb shank smallest ever seen £30. Booked at 6pm, food served 7.45. Drink order never came had to ask again. Seemed plenty of staff on. We were asked if we could move tables to accommodate someone. Declined. Gave £5 off for one burger. Offered 1 free Sunday lunch for poor service. Had visited once before and never been back, now I know why.

Lovely venue really cosy inside but I can imagine it’s brilliant on a summer afternoon seated outside. Food was great and accommodating for children. Staff all had a smile and very polite Good stuff!

The food and service were great, I have reduced the ‘atmosphere’ rating purely because there were only 3 tables dining and felt quiet and cold, however I am sure the atmosphere would be much better in a busier restaurant. That said, we had a lovely meal. The restaurant manager was very attentive and the food was delicious.

Rip off! Paid £10 per head deposit for a meal for 11 in one of the cabins. Food was average at best. Restaurant refused to knock the £110 off the final bill stating this was "room hire" !! £110 to sit in a glorified garden shed. We didn't get any private bar tender so draft every time the door opened by the front of house team. 2nd time in 10 years we have had shocking experience. Hoped this second visit would have changed my mind.

I visited here for the first time for my birthday as it was highly recommended for its vegan menu And it did not disappoint! A few of my family members tried my dishes who aren’t vegan and loved them too. Next time my mums actually going to order what I had! I’ve never seen a menu so big for vegan or veggie customers, so much choice and it all sounded incredible I went for the mushroom pasta dish and even had a vegan cheesecake after (vegan deserts aren’t common so how could I say no) I can’t wait to come back and try the rest of the menu out If you have dairy intolerance or are veggie / vegan this place is fantastic give it a try Thank you for looking after us, the Friendly staff gave us excellent service Everything was just spot on x

This is my mother in law's favourite restaurant and we come every time we visit. The food is always fantastic and the staff are super friendly. The owner has a strong presence and is checking in on the customers. The menu could be made a little simpler by maybe being in a book

My partner and I had a lovely time here! The staff were very friendly and welcoming, their food was gorgeous (especially their vegan cheesecake they had on their September menu) and the overall atmosphere was very cheery. We had our dog with us too and the staff came over with a bowl of water for him as it was a hot evening. We look forward to coming back again!

We just stopped for drinks on a long walk. We were welcomed and invited to sit in the lovely garden area with comfortable seats, all the staff were helpful and friendly.

We had our wedding in the cabin and we couldn't have asked for better. The communication and planning prior to the day was great and Lisa and the staff were accommodating with my requests. It was made simple and easy. On the day of our wedding we had nothing to worry about, staff were great and attentive, food was amazing and our guests were impressed with the venue as a whole. We hired the cabin for a hen do this weekend and paid per head for food and wine, and what an experience! Absolutely amazing service and incredible food! Would highly recommend the cabin to anyone looking for a small party! The staff were so helpful and attentive all day! Thank you so much xx

Visited last night and sat outside on decked area , great atmosphere relaxed and lovely in sunshine - opted for the sharing plates , everything was fresh and hot and very tasty . We were Offered more drinks throughout and staff checked on how everything was. Enjoyed it very much !

It has a nice courtyard and inside area. There is music on the speaker system but was too loud for us in the courtyard, however the waitress did offer to turn the sound down. The food is very over priced for what you get though. Nice ambiance.

Really classy place, nice food and great outdoor area for when the sun shines. The owner is always there keeping an on hands watchful eye on everything which is great to see 😀

Excellent food but let down by the drinks service and disconnect between what was ordered and what arrived. We waited half an hour for some drinks and a few of the sides were forgotten and had to be brought separately. This was by no means the waitresses or chefs fault as they were superb. More a management issue by not getting enough staff on for the day. This would certainly not stop me from returning as we usually have a great time and meal there.

Me and my partner was at "The Waterside" today for Sunday dinner...it was quality! The food was amazing, top quality and big portions! Lovely environment, nice friendly staff and lovely surroundings! Just been for a little weekday date night and honestly can't fault it. We had the sea meets land (chicken and prawns in white sauce) and honestly can't rate it enough. 10/10. Service was prompt and friendly. Will definitely be retuning!

Couldn't wait to go back to the waterside following it's reopening and it didn't disappoint. The new decor is beautiful, made to feel really welcome with great service, smiling and relaxed staff. Food is always a touch of special. One of the nicest restaurants going.

We popped in for a drink for our very first time and was welcome by very cheery welcoming staff. We only stopped for a drink but will definitely be coming back for food in the near future (as it smelt amazing) Will definitely be recommending to friends and family. What a delightful little find, visited Hollingsworth lake and then this had the best reviews and Vegan options and it did not disappoint. The place is beautiful inside and has an amazing outside garden/seating area. The menu had loads of options and the portions were a great size and food excellent quality. Will be back again

Last night was our first ever time at waterside and it was amazing! We couldn’t fault the food, drinks and service. We will definitely be returning again very soon.

Amazing restaurant. Went just b4 xmas and went again in the new year. Definitely my new favourite eating out to go. They do great veggie and vegan from scratch food.as well as having a great menu for these types .the meat is exquisite quality. The chef really knows how to cook.

The evening was spoilt by on arrival the table for 10 not being ready and the service was not very good 1/2hours wait for the first drink even longer for first course. My steak was a bit chewy ended up taking half of it home for the dog. I wanted half a lager they gave me a pint the waitress took it back then brought back another pint I gave up then and just went along with it. I realise they were busy and it was Christmas day but was disappointed as it was a lot of money to pay for a special meal.

It's been a long time since we have visited The Waterside, due to lots of factors such as the pandemic, busy work and living a bit of a distance means we can't just nip on for something to eat, but when it came time to take some of our staff out for a bit of an early Christmas meal and drink, we knew where we would like to take them. In the past the food had always been excellent, as was the environment and the service and we were glad to see nothing in that respect had changed. Highly recommended, lovely owners and staff, Thanks to all the team for a great evening.

My fiancé brought me here last night for a mid week date and it was beautiful. The venue itself is stunning and tastefully decorated, staff very friendly and customer aware, house merlot was delicious as was the food. Each course was extremely well presented. Looking forward to coming back and hopefully experience the garden. Already recommended to family and friends.

Went on Sunday 5th September, waited 15mins for a drink after ordering at bar. 2 x £2.80 half cokes/dietcikes in beautiful glassware. Sadly my coke was bereft of bubbles..maybe gas had gone. Got a splinter on my arm from the exposed wood around seating area

I've wanted to go here for a long time but unfortunately it missed the mark. The service was slow but understandable because as explained there was a large group ordered before us. The garlic bread was very nice and the tomato soup was also nice but the chicken was definitely reheated because it was so dry. Also was given no spoon with the soup. the service was extremely slow I was waiting ages for someone to ask me if I wanted a drink and for the last half hour I was there nobody even asked or cake near me to ask for a drink. Overall disappointed. Id like to add that they didn't charge me for the chicken .

Absolutely impeccable from start to finish, I asked my partner to marry me on the evening we went( Saturday 07.08.2021) They had little information from me and made it more amazing than I could have imagined, the table they picked and made for us, the music they picked, the space and patience they provided, the champagne they picked. It literally could not have gone any better. The service from the entire team was amazing. We have been before so knew that the food would be perfect as usual, which it was. The care and attention to the menu and food is outstanding. This is one of, if not the best restaurant with the Oldham/Rochdale/Royton/Littleborough area without a doubt. Amazing food, service and location

Poor portions poor quality food wouldn’t recommend my beefburger was dry bland with no taste for the price portions were small staff walked around looking unhappy slow service and kept pushing you to order more drinks sorry but this is my honest review

Food was lovely i had fish and chips . A couple more cocktails on the bottomless brunch menu for wine and prosecco haters like me would of been great . Went with a group of ladies and all had a lovely time .

Slow to deliver food, but we have just been allowed to eat in so I'm sure it will get better

It was the first time to this lovely place for me and my two friends. The setting is beautiful with rolling hills and a canal. We were given the best table that was covered and had a fabulous view - which was very welcome on such a hot day. The staff were all amazing and very attentive, nothing was too much trouble. Although the menu was very extensive, I asked if the chef could make a specific pasta dish for me and he was happy to accommodate - and it was delicious!! The owner even came over to chat to us and ensure we were happy. We would highly recommend this place for the food, views and hospitality.

Concerns with menu. were dealt with in a courteous manner and were dealt with swiftly. would recommend The waterside, owner Lisa is friendly and very proud of the restaraunt.
