We had a great time, with the staff and drinks being great. A beautiful place to meet with friends and enjoy good time. Big shout to the DJ who kept the vibe going with some banging tunes.

Very unique and well-kept place. You enter by entering from a fake laundromat that goes all too unnoticed. Once you go up the stairs, the place presents itself with great attention to the furnishings and details, even in the bathrooms. The cocktails are good and really unique, especially in the very original presentation. The bill is quite high, but that's okay! A unique experience.

Came here for date night, and it was great fun. The staff were great and enthusiastic, and the drinks were very delicious. I won’t say too much….or else I’ll spoil the surprises! 100% come here, you will not be disappointed!

We had an absolutely amazing experience here! The atmosphere and cocktails were brilliant. The service was exceptional. Our server Taylor really took time to explain the menu, different cocktails, and the options well. This meant we loved every cocktail we chose and got to enjoy the story and theme behind them all, too! The cocktails were amazing, but there was also a separate secret menu to find, a disco bathroom, and a hidden room that all added to the experience! We had such a good time, and it was well worth every penny!

Came here with no clue what it really was. The theming was superb and i loved the attention to detail. I will say this is a place with PLENTY of surprises if you dont know anything about it. The price was high, but the detail of the cocktails, the menu, the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of the place, its worth it for a treat. When we got here aswell there were some difficult people around, the bouncer handled that situation really well and stayed respectful, despite the disrespect he recieved.

Took 20 mins to even be asked what we wanted by a waitress. Took 55 minutes in total to get one drink. Venue was less than half full.

Overall a disappointing experience, other than the entrance, which was fun, We felt it was lacking in atmosphere. Some cocktails were presented very well but they lacked the subtle tastes, which we were informed by the staff in a very formulaic manner,they should have had. Mostly they were just sweetness, overpriced fruit juice.

Sometimes themed cocktail bars like this can be hit or miss. However this is not the case with Washroom. Really cool theming throughout the venue and menu. The service was absolutely incredible. Our server (Taylor) was an absolute delight. My partner wasn't super fond of her first drink (it was a really good drink btw just not to her taste) Taylor swapped it to a different one with no judgement and no hassle. Ordered some olives as a snack, seemed pricey on the menu but they arrived in a literal boatload so no complaints here. Would recommend to anyone who wants a nice little date night or a different experience. Drinks 10/10 Atmosphere 10/10 Service 11/10

I had been excited to visit the washouse for a while. However, I left feeling quite disappointed. I will give it the benefit of doubt because we went on a Saturday and it appeared to be quite busy. I was there for two hours and I got two drinks. My boyfriend and I got two cocktails each and it came to around £60. The cocktails were warm unfortunately. However, the girl taking care of our table was very lovely and welcoming and I can say the same for all the staff. I do think we maybe just caught them at a bad time.

This is a cocktail bar posing as a launderette, and I'm glad I got to experience it. It isn't the kind of place you'd visit every week, but it's worth experiencing at least once. You enter through a washing machine, finding yourself in an impressively large cocktail bar. The cocktails are all themed around conspiracy theories, and are a lot of fun. And the staff are fantastic. I personally found the cocktails a little pricey, but they are good quality, and come with a side of theatrics too.

I’m really not sure why this has such high ratings. We came on Valentines Day. Zero atmosphere, cocktails were too sweet/way too gimmicky- the only interesting thing is entering through the vending machine, and that’s the first 30 seconds. Wouldn’t bother tbh

Been here twice, first time was me and my boyfriends 1 year anniversary, the service was amazing and we got complimentary Prosecco which was a lovely gesture. Second time just as good. Cocktails are impeccable and so is the service!! Would definitely recommend.

We visited your bar after seeing great reviews and wanted to try ourselves. The drinks were amazing and we loved the atmosphere and venue. But what stood out above all else was the staff! Everyone we encountered was so lovely, patient and knowledgeable. Not just with our table, I could overhear all staff being engaging with all guests. I work in hospitality myself and it’s so refreshing to see! Eleanor was our server and she was a particular highlight! She was wonderful. Helpful and attentive without being overbearing. My girlfriend is autistic and Eleanor was so patient at helping her pick something she would like, and then when she didn’t enjoy, swiftly swapped it out for something else. She even gave us a few free shots to apologise for the (slight) wait on drinks to arrive. You have a real star on your hands!

Drinks are priced around £15, and you’re paying for more than just a drink; you’re getting an experience. If you’re after cheap and familiar, stick to a Wetherspoons. If you want something unique, this is the place. The DJ sets the perfect vibe, and the atmosphere is spot on. Standouts for me were the Alien Abduction, Castreudau, and Polybius, while Elvis Is Not Dead didn’t quite hit the mark. With the endless world of conspiracies as inspiration, their future menu has huge potential. Also, credit where it’s due—keeping the service charge at 10% while London hikes it up with no added value is a solid move. Expect to spend around £40 per head—well worth it for a memorable pre-dinner stop. I’ll be back next time I’m in Manchester.

Attended here last night after wanting to come for a couple of years, and this place was worth the wait. Absolutely spectacular experience. The drinks, the atmosphere. The service from Ben and the bar staff also deserves a special mention! Just overwhelmed by the whole experience, it was so lovely. Our first time visiting The Washhouse yesterday. The team were very friendly especially Tayler who chatted to us about the cocktails we ordered. The drinks were very good, and strong! I was disappointed that one of the features was broken but all the more reason to visit again!

We had a reservation issue following on from extreme weather conditions Responding swiftly to several emails from me, this was settled with a very good outcome and promptly What initially happened to be a cause for concern was fully resolved, and we can say with confidence we will definitely arrange to get there, but this time ensuring no storm disruptions

The wash house secret cocktail bar was amazing. Everything on the menu looked so good loved every minute of. The staff was so nice and kind could thank them enough for helping us choose what ones to try first. The drink are so full of flavour and would highly recommend the wash house to anyone who’s visiting Manchester.

We visited with some friends last night took an hour to get the first round of drinks, on the second round the wait wasn’t much better but this time one of the drinks was wrong. Honestly every-time we have been it seems to get a little bit worse. This will 100% be our last time visiting

Mia was very helpful and understanding. She came over as I was only halfway through reading the menu and they completely understood that there was a lot of information I was trying to get through. Then when she came back I chose the first option anyway. I'm a slow reader. The DJ in the bathroom was an unexpected vibe. The cocktale I had tasted like honey every sip which was kind of crazy. Great place to go with friends for your first time or multiple. Giving you the opportunity to try a different cocktail as they all look and taste equally as cool as eachother. But the price means you're only picking one, son. The descriptions they gave for each drink was very fun. Definitely a vibe I've had no where else

This is the third time that me and my girlfriend have been to the Washhouse and every single time has been amazing. We had three cocktails each and they all tasted so good. The service is amazing, and they are all extremely helpful. Well worth the money. I personally always ask one of the servers to choose a 'surprise' drink for me and on this occasion, it came with some chilli's on the side. Stupidly, I ate one of the chilli's that came as decor. Never again. The server got us some extra water, and even some milk but nothing could suffice. Needless to say, I survived this time. 100000/10

The cocktails were on another level, unbelievably creative and delicious. Each drink felt like a work of art, crafted with both skill and flair. Adding to the magic was the quirky touch of a live DJ performing... in the toilets! Yes, you read that right. It’s little touches like this that make The Wash House so unique and unforgettable. But what really made our night exceptional was the outstanding service. A huge shout-out to our host, Annyce, who went above and beyond to make us feel special. Gave 5 stars for food, but it's for the cocktails of course. What a concept! We loved the whole experience. Great service. Very friendly staf. Music could have been a bit softer so you could hear the explanation a bit better. But overall 10/10 experience!

Such a unique place, very experimental drinks and very good story telling with the staff. They were so knowledgeable and friendly, there was someone on a table near us who didn't like his drink but didn't say anything, the staff saw this and promptly offered them another which was fantastic. I will 100% return if I'm ever in Manchester again

This is still one of the best bars in Manchester. The drinks are so imaginatively made and always have a brilliant theme around them. The staff are top notch, really friendly and knowledgeable. I totally recommend a visit to here if you like your cocktails with a bit of a twist.

Visited this unusual bar after the Peter Kay gig. Wanted to see it after reading other reviews. It's unusual, entering via a secret door. Once in it was buzzing; great atmosphere and excellent service. That service started with them holding our booking, even though we ran late from the arena. The cocktail menu is extensive, and they are more expensive than some other places. But for an occasional visit, that's fine. Make sure you check out the hidden room upstairs, and find the slide !

Visited this bar with my partner on a visit to manchester. I was so excited but was left extremely disappointed. I struggled to hear the staff and we received the incorrect drinks too. We tried 6 drinks (2free because they weren't ours) in total and it’s sad to say none of them tasted nice, both tables either side of us also didn’t look impressed with the taste. My partner will literally drink anything going but not these. The interior of the bar and the presentation of the drinks is all they have going here for me. Extremely overpriced too. Real shame.

Very interesting and unique bar. Treated my friends to a couple of drinks and we were not disappointed. It's NOT one of those places where they put on a show and then disappoint with the drinks; they were very well made, thought out and special. A really nice + fun location if you want something different. It's also a bigger place, so you can stay and have a bit of privacy + good conversations. Service was attentive and explained the vegan options as well (some cocktails will have egg/milk obviously). A bit pricey for Manchester I'm assuming (around 15 £ for a cocktail) BUT very reasonably priced for what they serve you and offer. Totally worth the experience. 10/10 would recommend!

Full marks to the server that diligently explained the phenomena behind the themed drinks, really adds to the atmosphere. May have been a little transfixed by the Bermuda Triangle. A drink that SPINS? Anyway, little expensive, but it’s fun, with great service.

Secret cocktail bar just up from Printworks in Manchester. It's a great little bar you access through a fake laundry frontage (you have to book in advance). The cocktails are all very original and well made...the staff are all really helpful and explain every drink to you in detail when it comes to the table. If I had any minor gripe it is that the music is a bit generic and there are only 2 or 3 very basic bar snacks...I think a small bar menu would work really well! Ps - ask about the secret slide 😂

Very overhyped, the cocktails were very mediocre and the atmosphere didn’t match the conspiracy theory theme. Feels like a very disjointed “speakeasy” compared to others I’ve been to, if you have a theme stick with it!! Once you step through the vending machine it’s then a conspiracy theory bar but without decor or atmosphere to carry it through. Didn’t appreciate the server trying to push us to order shots when we just wanted to look at the menu and decide on a cocktail. What could be an awesome venue was let down by some very basic things.

No food just the ye olde snacks, but you're really going for the good stuff... But shhhh 🤫 Booking is a must, but one of the best secret bars in Manchester. Will cost a pretty penny but worth the indulgence. The phone will get you in! Chem trials is a fun one to try.

Absolute waste of time and money. It feels very much like a trendy thing to do, a place to say you've been. The wait for cocktails when they were ordered was unacceptable. I ordered a second almost as soon as I got my first and ended up cancelling it because the wait was too long. It definitely derailed out evening as we were looking forward to enjoying a few good quality cocktails after a nice meal out. I'd definitely avoid this place if you want to enjoy good quality cocktails at a reasonable price. You're being overcharged for theatrics and little substance here.

I really don’t want to post too much. It feels so secretive - there are so many surprises hidden at the Washhouse. The entrance itself. The menu, the hidden menu, the hidden Japanese bar linked to this. It’s such an adventure. I’m returning again and again, there’s so much more to explore. I can only recommend to visit WASHHOUSE and see where it takes you. Also, the service is more than brilliant! The staff takes this to a next level. Not to mention the drinks, they are as tasty as they are interesting to look at. Often come with some extra adding to the experience of the drink.

The bartending world is in turmoil, and conspiracy theories are emerging... I visited this playful bar last year. There was a washing machine at the entrance. The laundry chute was pushed open, and a staircase went straight up to the second and third floors. Only then did the bar appear. This month’s theme is “Conspiracy Theories.” The wine list lists more than 20 pages of famous classic conspiracy theories. The “Bermuda Triangle” I ordered is made with tequila, coconut milk, and rum. , so sweet, no wonder it causes mysterious disappearances 🤣 The waiter asked me to drop a small black object on the wooden box into the wine glass. He pressed a small button on the side of the wooden box, and the whole drink began to rotate. The boat is missing in the Bermuda Triangle, he explained without blushing and out of breath. Laughing to death. However, the essence of Cocktail is to convince people with wine. No matter how many gimmicks there are, if the temperature is wrong and the proportion is out of proportion, without the sparkle that the alcohol should have when the alcohol collides with each other, it will be just a puddle of wine at best.

Went here as we were looking for a different experience. This certainly met the criteria in a very good way. Entering the bar through a vending machine and the conspiracy theory cocktails certainly gave this place an unexpected novelty factor which we really enjoyed. The service was outstanding and the staff knew their facts when it came to the drinks. Would highly recommend to anyone that wants to make a memorable evening. There are only snacks available here as it is primarily a cocktail bar.

Amazing experience. The entrance is really quirky, and the drinks are to die for. Coco Pops was an actual bowl of cereal you mix with milk (and alcohol) which was just so uniquely cool. Ye olde sweet shoppe came with actual candy too! Made me feel like a child again. Awesome night out, really good atmosphere too. Fantastic place. Best cocktail bar I've been to. I love the whole process, from going in through the 'washhouse' to the whole conspiracy theory theme. All topped off with a DJ in the unisex toilets! It is fairly expensive if you just want a cocktail but I was fine with that because you're paying for the experience too. Would happily work my way through the whole list of cocktails. I want to go there again right now!!!

Based behind an apparently abandoned launderette, this top floor cocktail bar offers a range of conspiracy inspired cocktails. The vibe is cool, dark green.. speakeasy....low level lighting over the tables, friendly informative staff....and above all the drinks...they are beautifully presented..with a fun backstory...and taste superb. For fun, try the Nrssie, or the birds aren't real, the Illuminati...or the hidden menu...on the back page with secret password..for their house cocktails.This is definitely worth a visit anytime you are here..btw..order the retro crisps...you literally get a large bag of assorted retro salty treats.... fantastic!
