We visit regularly. The food is always good and there's a good choice of drinks. But unfortunately no cask ale. It's very good value and we've always found the staff friendly and helpful. Also a good place to watch the football

Why if you do all day breakfast and you don't like baked beans the staff won't swap for tomato tinned or fresh? I was told tomatoes were kept for salads, not breakfasts.

Come every Sunday with my grandma and we enjoy it every single time, service is fantastic food is fantastic, drinks are cheap! And best of all they have match if the day on !

As always this place is brilliant. Friendly staff. Always clean and food is reasonably cheap and spot on. A big range of drinks to also choose from

Repeatedly a beyond awful service and the staff are so rude. Last april I got asked for id on my 21st birthday when I was wearing a big sash saying I'm 21. At Christmas, the bartender abruptly told me to stand behind a stand for the queue instead of the bar when there was no queue. I went today despite being loaded with cold. Today I had no alcoholic beverages despite having a cold. I got asked for id for a non alcoholic koppaberg when legally, you don't need to id people for that, these people need to check the law. I kept going to the toilet for tissues and the dirty looks I get off the same bartender is disgusting. Boycot this pub. Stick to wether spoons.

A comfortable and warm atmosphere, the food is tasty and the prices are very reasonable, the service is excellent and Marie is always so friendly, she’s an absolute pleasure, will be visiting again soon.

Booked for party of 10 but when we got there no booking. Turns out all my fault booked wrong day. Staff were really nice and helpful and got us a table. Food and service really good. I am gluten free and had a good selection of food I could order. When ordering it was added for the kitchen and came out marked as gluten free. We had a lovely family meal and food was great. Thanks to the staff for being so nice for my mistake.

This place has really gone down hill! We used to enjoy coming here for food but the last couple of times it has been disappointing. Came Friday evening for a family meal of four and we weren’t impressed. Signs are now up on the wall telling you to ‘get your sauces and cutlery’ - must be trying to save money on staff!! I tried to order veggie nuggets in a baguette (instead of fishless ones) but it was too much of a problem apparently so I wasn’t allowed. I ordered veggie nuggets seperately and when they came they were burnt and rock hard so sent them back. No apology from the staff member. I ordered bread to make my own sandwich and it was stale! You can’t order a baguette seperate either apparently 🙄. All our meals were just about edible, all well done and deep fried. Nobody came to ask us if our meal was ok either which they used to. We won’t be back in a hurry. The Newton is way better!

I’ve wrote positive reviews about the wallsend when it was decent. Unfortunately tonight’s experience was far from decent. First all the food came out very dry and the once good portion sizes from the super specials were far from that. I had the tandoori chicken Sizzler. Where to start. First the 2 tiny bits of chicken were what I can only assume were boneless chicken thighs that were greasy, grissely, fatty and served on a sloppy bed of mush that is supposed to be peppers and onions on a warm not sizzling skillet as advertised. Three mini tortilla wraps and this is the funny part, a full plate of lettuce!! Seriously, just Lettuce, nothing else, no dressing no other salad components. I did mention this to be given a look of ‘I don’t care’. Unusual as they seem to be happy to take a compliment yet not a complaint. The chutney and mint sauce was ok, don’t know what it could be used for and why it’s on there. In a tiny pot was some dry wilted ‘fresh’ coriander leaves, 2 circles of spring onion and a couple of flakes of chilli. Probably the worst meal I’ve had here. Last couple of times it’s been average at best , but tonight was poor for us all and I doubt we will return ( we used to be here every Sunday ). It’s a shame as last year the food was always amazing, cooked and presented well, by a chef who had pride in his work. Maybe a change of staff, I don’t know.

Dry lasagne, food wasn't nice at all. Used to love this place I guess not this time as my kids went hungry could hardly chew the dry lasagne.

Eat at the Walls End quite a lot as it's a very friendly, comfortable place and the foods cheaper than if you made it yourself. Should move in really..... All the staff are very friendly and efficient but have to say, Lisa is a real superstar. Although she flies around behind the bar like a little rocket, she always has her ready smile beaming and happy to have a friendly chat. A lovely girl and a credit to her employers.

We not been here before it was an impromptu call to fill in time before a hospital appointment. We chose breakfast and latte it was lovely and fresh all cooked exactly what we wanted. Nice and clean toilets . Staff friendly and polite thanks

Always my favourite place to go and have something tasty tea eat, a cold lager and just chill. Great value but best part is the staff - Mike, Kelly, Naiomi and Fiona are all extremely efficient and always friendly, helpful and welcoming. Can't beat it.

Amazing food and service as always but made even better by Will who was more than happy to oblige my 2 year olds requests for high 5's and fist bumps. Also for your first go on desserts the kids loved them and ate every drop.
