Great local boozer with homebrewed ales and a selection of homemade rums and gins 👌🏼 Landlady is lovely, and drinks are super reasonable prices.

Fantastic real pub, best in the town. They brew their on beers and I tried the 'session ale' at 3.6%, I know a low ABV but full of flavour. Also basic food available, paninis sandwiches and toasties. I had the cheese & onion toastie and only £1.50!! As cheap as a packet of crisps in some establishments. Staff are great especially Helen. TRY IT!

Was not expecting such a warm welcoming hospitality, lovely home brewed offerings and a delicious panini to boot. Traveling up the Trent & Mersey and needed to stop for shopping and laundry, and stopped in for a pint while the clothes were washing. I thought OK, I’ll stop and have another while they’re drying, which turned into a 3rd once the clothes were all finished, and a single malt whisky from a patron. Kudos to Helen for making me feel at-home across the ocean and the patrons evidently enjoying the warmth of a fire and each others company on a chilly October evening.

Visited here today whilst in the area visiting family and had the most lovely warm welcome, did a quick google search for Dog Friendly pubs as I had my baby staffy with me & this was the top recommended and (unplanned) i was already parked outside as I’d been to walk my dog in the park opposite. The staff were all lovely, service was 11/10, the food was outstanding (i’m a very fussy eater) and I honestly could not fault the food, I had the buttermilk chicken burger with bacon and cheese & everything was perfect. The locals in there were also a credit to the pub, didn’t have much cash on me but left a tip with whatever cash I had left, I would’ve given more if I could’ve, I honestly cannot recommend this pub enough to anybody, whether you’re from the area or not, I definitely recommend paying a visit.

Brilliant if staying at the travel lodge. Basic menu but had an absolutely fantastic burger with best chips ever. Ate outside in the courtyard. Sadly felt quite at risk listening to 2 lads talking on the table next to me. Didn't finish my food and left in a hurry. Probably just a chance encounter but nonetheless took the shine off a great pint and a tasy burger.

What a great afternoon/evening we spent here last night with new friends. A good range of beers are brewed on the premises - we gave the Ruby Ale an extended test and it certainly passed! The waitress was friendly and chatty and looked after us beautifully for 4 hours, keeping us supplied with beer and wine and even organising a local pizza delivery to the table for us so we didn't need to bring the fun to a premature end! Highly recommended for good beer, a good atmosphere and top service from the staff.

Visited The Vine for the first time on Wednesday 14 July 2021 late on a sunny afternoon. We parked in the shade alongside the nearby Elmore Park and walked across the road to The Vine Inn. The main door is to the right of what appears to be the pub with the front of the building hidden under a lush growth of 'Vine type vegetation. The building with the sign and looking pub like is at present occupied by the kitchen and the brewery. A kindly lady behind the bar escorted me outside to view the brewery through the window . We were signed by the lady behind the bar and sanitised our hands before being given the choice of where to sit. The Vine Inn has numerous rooms and seating outside in a rear drinking area. We sat in the main bar room which runs across the front of the right hand side. We had a lovely drink of The Vine Vanilla Porter ( £3 a pint !) and then tried a half of the stronger Ruby Mild ( still £3 a pint ) both brewed on the premises. They do 5 of their own brews and also put on a draught Bass when they can get hold of it ! We enjoyed the Vanilla Porter so much that I went back to the car for a carry out container ( I always take a carry with me in the car ) and bought 2 more pints to enjoy when we got home. We spent nearly 2 hours talking to two other couples, who were also Camra ( Campaign for real ale) about times and beers past . A lovely friendly and sociable place with a great selection of real ales, great service and customers. 5* and added to my favourites a must to return to . Intrigued by the Grapefruit IPA .

Staff were amazing, so attentive and friendly - going above and beyond so that me and my friends were looked after (they even went as far as to give us a lift back to our campsite when there were no taxis!!) had a banging cucumber gin with elderflower tonic, it was spot on. This pub has so much to offer, I don't know where to start. They have tables out the front facing the park and a beer garden out the back of which 1/3rd Is covered, they accept dogs and often have bags provided to clean up after your pet. The vine has a few rooms, in the back they have a pool table, darts board and juke box, the snug has cozy sofas with access to the bar and the main bar has a log fire. The vine is a beautiful old building, one of the oldest in the town and it now has a micro brewery which produces it's own ales, gins and vodkas
