Absolutely wonderful venue. Staff are always so welcoming and friendly, nothing is ever too much them. Livvy is so accommodating, always going above and beyond. Food is delicious and portion sizes are huge!

Great food and great service. Liv and team always makes the arrival friendly and welcoming. Always go for food but today was our first for breakfast. 10/10

Popped in with my partner for a quick bite to eat and a drink, was greeted by Livvy the bar manager who couldn’t of been more helpful, helped us with our food order, food was delivered promptly, Livvy then came over to check everything was okay with our food and checked if there was anything else she could do for us. Brilliant service.

Really great pub with a welcoming bar manager called Livvy, she welcomed both me and my partner, asked how our day was going and politely asked what we would like to order. Very understanding when we were a little indecisive with our food choice. Ordered fish, chips & peas. Over an hour later it turned up. Chips were warm & wiry, peas had been cooked for so long that they looked more like sweetcorn & the fish was an over battered thin sliver that tasted like a Ryvita! Absolutely terrible in all respects! Never again.

Waited far too long for food, no warning kitchen was busy, ordered chicken gyro never seen a pice of chicken! Just bacon no warning that they were out of chicken what so ever!

A standard British pub showing sport and servicing food. Selection of drinks is fine, with most major lagers served. Gin selection is actually very good. Drink prices are fairly standard. Bar service was a little slow due to staffing being a little low for the number of customers, however staff were friendly and working as fast as possible. Food is fairly tasty and plentiful, with reasonable prices. I would recommend the fish and chips. Overall, worth a visit if nearby.

Came with our daughter and son in law to see the Tom Jones tribute act. What a fabulous night was had by all! Everyone was either singing along or up dancing. Food that was included with the tickets was also very good too. Will definitely be back in the future.

Ordered a breakfast, and the place was not full. A larger party of 6 had previously ordered so was prepared to wait.....but not 45mins before I had my food, and then they got the order wrong! 2 from the 6 before never even received theirs and asked for a refund. Wish I had! They blamed takeaways - not my issue, sort your priorities out and a process to do both! It would be quicker to drive into the city centre, order and eat in Weatherspoons and drive back! Sorry, but will not be revisiting again or even recommending!

Called up in advance and asked the staff when I got here if they were showing the Man Utd game as I knew it was only being shown on peacock, ordered a drink and food and again was assured they’d be showing it. Kick off comes and they realise they don’t have peacock and therefore can’t show it

We have visited several times since moving to the area and the food and service are always excellent. It is great value for money, too.

Nice pub with great choices on the menu and there are always some special offers available. Staff are polite and helpful. My husband and I visit regularly

Really can't fault you. Dad is an 89 year old wheelchair user and you and your staff were so accommodating and helpful throughout the entire visit. Perfectly cooked food and lovely and hot. Excellent quality and value for money. Will be popping in regularly as now able to get dad out of his (very lovely local care home) following covid-19 relaxation of rules. Thank you so much to all your staff for making our meal out so enjoyable and relaxing. See you soon!

Very disappointing! Whilst the two members of staff were fab and doing their best, the quality of the food was shocking. My partner couldn't eat his chicken burger and my dirty fries were cold. 2 of our party were happy and ate it all, the other two certainly weren't. We saw a number of meals sent back whilst we were there and after waiting 45 minutes for or food did want to have to wait any longer for something to eat so didn't bother complaining. Being a sizzler we know what to expect and love our local, but we will definitely not be returning to the Village Inn.

Katie looks after me and my colleagues on a Sunday and my wife and her friends on a Monday. Nothing is too much trouble for Katie who makes us glad to visit this wonderful establishment.

Friendly staff, great food good prices

Food was good, but I had to ask to have our table cleaned, despite 4 people standing around the bar area doing nothing. Another table still had not been cleaned/cleared in all the time we were there.

I liked it there but it's not the best sizzler I've been to. If it's local give it a try but if another sizzler is just 5 mins extra traveling distance away then I suggest you visit that one instead.

I visited The Village Inn, and it was fantastic! The seasonal decorations immediately set a cozy, welcoming atmosphere perfect for the fall. The ambiance is mature yet comfortable, making it an ideal spot for a relaxed day or evening. Our server, Ellie, was exceptional. She was attentive, friendly, and ensured everything was just right. Her service definitely enhanced the overall pleasant vibe. The food was delicious and well-prepared, with a good variety on the menu. Everything from the starters to the desserts was spot-on. I highly recommend this pub for anyone looking for a laid-back, classy pub experience. I’ll definitely be back!

Ni food being served at 6 clock on a Sunday

One of the party uses a walker. The pathway to the front door is not suitable for people with limited mobility. Please either fix the path, or provide an alternate entrance. Service was great. Food was OK - average pub food.

Attentive staff, great atmosphere, lovely food

This is such a lovely place to come for lunch. Menu choice is good, service always fast but what gives this pub my five star rating is the wonderful staff! The staff are always friendly, helpful and offer great customer service. Olivia in particular is always amazing, can't do enough for her customers. Give this lady a pay rise!

Staff were lovely, however the food was overcooked (black, chewy burger pattys), the wrong burger was made, and it was all on the cool side (chips were barely over room temperature). It took 40 mins to arrive, by which point we were hungry and needed to get on with our trip, so didn't have time to wait for any replacement meals. Generally disappointing.

Had the most amazing food here for the first time, Tom cooked my food and it was unbelievable, usually I'm not sure what "chefs" they have in there, if u can call them that

Food was served already cold , long wait, 8 minutes waiting for 2 slice of toast, one proper burned and other okay ( eatable) coffe served in dirty cup with a big chip and hygiene standards very low on this place.

Called in for coffee and wifi, but decided to have lunch when I saw someone being served a meal. I chose Steak and chicken combo woth chips, which was delicious, and didn't have to wait long! Ellie checked in to see how my meal was, I had no complaints, it was lovely.

It is bank holiday weekend. All the staff are running about working hard. All have a smile and are friendly. Can not recommend them enough. We will definitely be back. The food was amazing. Thank you so much we are on holiday for a family get together but will be back. 5 stars all round. The manager liv was absolutely brilliant. Managing her staff and working just as hard as everyone else. We asked for the managers name for the review.

We have been to this pub multiple times and it’s Such a beautiful family pub, lovely large garden for the kids to play, very clean with friendly staff aswell as amazing 5* food 🤤 the manager was very hands on and is part of the staff rather then just sat there like many pubs I have been too I would definitely recommend ❤️

Had to wait to be served as nobody was servicing .we then ordered breakfast when somebody finally appeared We ordered 2 big breakfast it came to the table cold ,eggs where raw on the top not cooked properly a tea spoon of beans.tables where sticky ,floors dirty will not be recommending anybody to this establishment.not happy at all.

Visited this pub Sunday 7th July. Was impressed with the service here. We were sat outside having a drink after walking our dog Leo. A lady called Liv came out and made a big fuss of our dog and went and got him a bowl of water. She came back out a few times and made a fuss of him and had a chat with us. Lovely friendly staff here. Will definitely return.

The Village Inn Cardiff, I couldnt recommend it enough! The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, always going above and beyond. The food is fantastic, especially the sirloin steak which i prefer not on a sizzler out of preference, which is always cooked to perfection. The breakfast there is simply unreal, especially the hashbrown bites. Its the perfect way to start your day. Also the events hosted at the Village Inn are always amazing, bringing a lively and enjoyable atmosphere which is perfect for adult and kids. The Saturday night discos with karaoke are always a blast, and the live band Zion Road, that often visits brings a great vibe to the pub. If your looking for great food or a friendly atmosphere for drinks, I 100% recommend the Village Inn its defiantly worth it.

Had a lovely meal here tonight with my wife the tandoori skewers were really nice and the beef ribs delicious would highly recommend. Bar staff and Livvy in particular are great.
