The Village Chippy in South Lanarkshire

I order from here often and I am always happy with the timely fashion I receive my order.

Excellent - sorry i forgot to tip delivery driver as got caught off guard and collected order from being in at my neighbours next door... Was Christmas Eve and forgot to tip - sorry driver! Food was excellent, it was very nice thank you again!

Took 2.5 hours to arrive. Did call I between to be advised were busy but still longer than promised on the phone.

3rd time ordering abd haven't been disappointed yet. curries are sooo good.

Delivery driver decided to eat most of the order. Photo evidence can be given if required. He should be sacked immediately

what has happened in the space of a few days new owners or what that pizza was horrible fit for the bin

chasni calzone is the best about chips and cheese always massive 👌

the scampi wasnt real more like chicken nuggests the fish was horrible with a strange smell coming off it the chip cheese curry was the only good thing out of there

cancelled after waiting over 2 and an half hours....never delivered.

The restaurant forgot to add cheese to my chips (that was an extra charge) however I still would order again.. as normally it is always good. Everything else is usually very tasty!

still not arrived and no communication as too why it's late .

Internet was off for a while just got it back so bad report I’m really sorry to say the food was absolutely freezing that it felt like the chips had been in the freezer and the cheese was like glue

what can I say the food was fab as always only thing was way too much chips for us great food and great value for money delivery driver very polite will defo be ordering again

Travelling from Yorkshire to Dunbarton it got to 9pm and we fancied fish and chips. Google told us this place wasn't far off the motorway and was worth a visit so we gave it a go. Excellent place! Good fish and chips (also only a fiver!). Delightful staff. The chippy is inside a corner shop! There are choc dips, scampi n lemon nik naks and a slush machine so you know its a quality gaff. Loved. Would come again if we didn't live 250 miles away.

Best chippy I found in Scotland very fair price great welcoming atmosphere 5star food perfect perfect food so nice nearly brought a tear to my eyes, a chip shop that stands way above the rest by far,so glad to find such a treasure,if i lived here id be in that place every day. 👍🤟 Jo knocked it out of the park great cooking.

First time we have ordered from here. Food was delicious, arrived just over 30mins early and was piping hot. only small gripe is we paid extra for the popcorn chicken to be battered but it came without batter. Other than that it was spot on. Delivery driver was really polite and pleasant as well.

Chips were OK / decent, the fish was poor. Really poor batter that was not at all cooked properly or hot enough. It was just soggy mush, nothing remotely like being light, crisp and fluffy.

All food was just perfect, delivered 30 mins earlier than expected which was great as I was starving too! (ordered before it was open) The Small Fish Supper, and the Skyscraper burger (with separate sauce dip) and the Single chippy sausage was just lovely crunchy moist in middle and all food was warm! Will be buying again!

Delivery bang on time. Chasni Hgogie - would have liked more chicken in it, instead of the huge amount of chips, but still really nice.l ovely salad was included. Sausage Supper - was nice too! Sent 2 menus that i requested, thanks!

We waited 2 hours for this delivery. Called, and it rang out. Eventually, I got a hold of them, and of course, it was on its way. Kids were in bed by the time it arrived. The man said he would give us a full refund, but it has to go through Just eat.

Still not here! No answer on the phone but the order was accepted so definitely is someone working

The chips and food were unfortunately soggy with grease which had pooled in the bottom of the containers. I bunged everything in the air fryer which helped crisp everything up. Delivery was quick.

Normally dont have a bad word to say about the village chippy but honestly the worst meal ive had from here. Not sure what happened. The smoked sausage was over cooked, the chips where really oily, the kebab meat was dry and curled up. Really not impressed. Delivery was also 10 mins late.

Menu not clear. Sausage supper should be battered so why option to select baterred. Mine over done. Also just wanted a pot of curry sauce l, no option. And no option for pickled onions. Delivery charge disgraceful. Will go to larkhall and spend less. Disgusted

Got an order out of here for the first time ever and I can honestly say it was the best burger and chips I’ve ever had in my whole entire life will definitely be ordering from here again plus the delivery driver was very nice and pleasant just what I like to see aswell keep the great work up

Very disappointed tonight. Food Brill but not clear on menu. Phoned to speak to them and got a mouthfull. Wanted extra to deliver rice.

Unfortunately didn’t fulfill order, only had a half crunch not a full as ordered, sincere apology given by staff, it wasnt an issue at all for us, but they over compensated for it, FREE spiced onions poppadoms, fritters, chips and pickles…… 💯 order again, A+

The food was lovely! Unfortunately I myself didn’t agree with the onion rings, but that’s my issue. We’ve ordered a few times from here. Delivery has always been spot on, food has been great, overall very satisfied 🤙🏻 would recommend.

Fantastic, first time eating from the Village and we will definitely be back. All still warm when it arrived and cooked well.

Tried the new Korma Hoggie and I have to say it was delicious. Very appreciative of the free item as well. Will order again.

Delicious meal. Great taste. Good value for the meal deal. Great delivery driver, very friendly.

Orders a dopiaza and a madras which both came the tasting the exact same accept the dooiaza has onions through it. Was inedible. The chicken tikka was undercooked, rice was over cooked. The only good thing about it was the naan bread.
