The Olive (formerly Doon Inn) in South Lanarkshire

I visited the olive well over a year ago. In between that time ,ive popped in during the week when it wasnt busy. A lady i knew ,only because she cleaned my flat,started working there .After she was sacked ,i still visited mostly during the week. My last visit and i mean my last visit. I was refused entry ,the reason anyone who knew her wasnt allowed back in Well i hope they ban all of the clientele.Totally pathetic way to run a business.

I think the place needs a revamp. The couches where I was sitting were very grubby and stained. The tables were dirty, as were the carpets. I think it will be a long while before I go back

Been drinking there for 15+ years. You are always well looked after. There's never any bother. Prices are reasonable and they bring in a pleasant crowed

Went to see saxophonist Jake Hanson and had a brilliant time. This guy is so talented and love all the songs he played. Live music is amazing especially with someone who knows their stuff and look forward to seeing him again ,other than that karaoke is not my cup of tea but the staff were very good and friendly.

Bar staff are nice Audrey the owner sings on the karaoke so does Fraser absolutely brilliant singers atmosphere can be good be you can sense it change in a heartbeat ya can sense when a fight is gonna break out time to leave but other than that it's OK

I had best day yesterday at olive thankyou to all the bar staff Audrey Robert the owners ‘ even bought me cake champagne balloons for my 60th birthday.actually don’t have words to thank them and ever member of staff .everyone has to go visit this venue you won’t ever be disappointed’ thankyou to you all at olive big hugs lots love

Visited on Sunday for an afternoon of Motown, it was fab. The place had a great atmosphere & the staff were so friendly & welcoming. Can't wait to visit again in the near future. Hospitality was fabbo. Well done all, keep up the good work. 👏

Very cheap for drink. Karaoke or singer on most nights

Our works night out venue fell through 2 hours prior to it starting, the olive very kindly accommodated us seats for everyone and allowed us to order pizzas as we missed out on our 3 course meal, I can't thank the staff at the olive enough for making our night out possible so last minute

Had a lovely afternoon after being let down by the miners welfare for my friends birthday. Great staff and entertainment. All in all turned into a great day.

Ordinarily a lovely community pub but really doing themselves proud during phase 3 of Covid. Cleaning regimes exceptional to make customers feel safe. Well done.

Well went into doon inn to see if they served food. Didnt get as far as the carpark. Very rude person told us it was a private car park. Funny i thought it was for customers.

Cozy relaxed atmosphere nice furnishings and a great pint of tennents I cant ask for more.

It's a great friendly place for a pint after a day on the hills,It's just across the road from me when I get home.

My partners was getting her hair done down the road so thought I’d pop in while I wait and have coffee or a soft drink. After parking in the customer car park I was approached by the elderly owner/manager ranting and raving that I couldn’t park in the “customer” car park. I explained I was a customer but he was being ignorant and abusive so I headed to the parkville instead. No wonder the place was empty.

The Doon Inn had a great atmosphere and was very friendly, also the alcohol was cheap
