Some of the best chips we've ever eaten. Friendly service and well priced. Bonus points for selling Ben Shaws bitter shandy too.

Amazing chips, perfectly cooked, soft and fluffy melt in your mouth and well seasoned. Same goes for the fish!

Fish cooked to order no standing under lights everything very clean staff nice and pleasant.

Having read other reviews we decided to walk the 1.75 miles from our canal boat to give it a go. Was it worth it? Yes it was, the fish was great, lovely crispy batter, I would have liked the chips to be crisper but that just my personal preference, they were perfectly ok, happy staff, altogether what's not to like.

Worst ever!! Absolutely shocking service and food. Ordered 40 minutes before and eventually got food 80 minutes later. Sat outside for 40 minutes. Didn’t care that they kept us waiting, said it wasn’t their fault as they got busy!!! What’s the point of offering pre order service! Also missed part of the order even though we had paid for it. Food was terrible, too much batter on fish and goujons. Very little fish. High prices. Never going again!!

Called in whilst visiting in the area for fish & chips . Really nice & fresh .. sensible size portion lovely friendly staff & the place was spotless ..we live in Derbyshire but would call In again if in area

Never have I tasted a worse chicken fried rice in my life. It tasted like the chicken had been cooked for hours and the rice and peas were all dry. It really was not good. The staff were amazing but the food was awful 🤮

If your travelling down the A49 near Bunbury who not take a detour of a mile and try this chippy the food is excellent and the chips are like your mum made very tasty. Not expensive well worth a visit

A fantastic hidden gem, spotlessly clean,great fish and chips and wonderful service by 2 lovely ladies. Well worth the visit. Cash only but there's a cash machine in the CO-OP across the street. Thanks 👍🏼

First visit here and it was alright. Chips were lovely along with the curry sauce, however the fish had greasy batter and the mushy peas very little taste. Staff were friendly, quick and efficient so will go again, but maybe I’d choose something different from the vast menu.

More or less everything is cooked fresh - so expect to wait a little. Very much worth the wait though. Couldn't fault the fish and chips at all. We have a tradition of calling in on our way back from Chester Zoo; tradition preserved and very much sated.

lovely chippy best fish and chips we had for a long time

Based on the reviews I was expecting something really good but surprisingly this was one of the worse chippys I’ve ever had. The fish was mush and the batter was extremely thick and only tasted of oil. The 3 layers of paper wrapping the fish were soaked through with oil. The sausages were barely cooked and again sodden in oil. As for the chips, not as oily but the large portion was more like a small and certainly not worth the £2.30 price tag. Would definitely not recommend and certainly will not be using again.

A gem of a chip shop, Please go out of your way to try this shop. The food is of a high quality, fresh cooked as you order. It's set in a beautiful tiny village. Close to Beeston Castle, Run by the same owners for many years. You wont regret your visit.
