Stopped off here after a 14k walk circular walk from Odcombe. Fabulous little team room. We were made to feel very welcome. We had the ploughman's with tea and finished off with a coffee and piece of cake. If you are in the area would recommend the Village Cafe.

'Proper' village café, cosy & comfortable and friendly service. We had lovely refreshing tea in big, patterned cups & delicious cake. There was a good selection of food listed on the board. We were passing through, travelling from Lancashire. What a beautiful spot.

Small café with friendly staff and a cosy atmosphere. The one star loss for me was for the lack of dairy free options, as my son has an allergy. It was a friendly little place though and I'd definitely recommend it if you are allergy free.

Had an amazing lunch here today, really impressed. The cafe is beautiful and we had soup, breakfast bap and a panini for lunch and all was delicious. Mum wants the recipe for the Curried Parsnip Soup! Also took on two massive slices of cake for later and shared that between 4 of us, this was very good too! We will definitely be back, we're sorry it's taken us so long to visit before now!

My husband’s grandmother had asked if we could visit this charming cafe in East Coker as a friend had recommended it. Prior our visit I called to ask about parking and and opening times. The lady who I spoke to was so very helpful and offered to reserve a table for us. We managed to go today and it was a most pleasant experience. An absolutely lovely village cafe, tastefully decorated and with tasty cakes 😋 The ladies in the cafe were charming and helpful. We can highly recommend a visit or two or many more!!! We will definitely return 👍☺️

Very friendly and sweet cafe, the menu was limited and perhaps a bit more gourmet than I anticipated... Not a lot of small lunch options. But very very good food. Also the lady who served us was a beautiful soul and as we were sat outside, she was closing up but told us to sit as long as we liked after she left. Lovely!

Sitting outside now. Planned to stop here for breakfast having left Brighton at 7.30 am. However, it’s closed ‘due to the jubilee’ from 1st to 8th June!!! Excellent, friendly staff, good service and excellent food.

Was disappointed to arrange to meet a friend here - travel from Somerton and find it wasn't open ( no mention on Google). A sign said "sorry closed...back again tomorrow ". A more local person who was also frustrated by it being closed said the same sign was there the day before. I would suggest phoning ahead to check this cafe is open before travelling.

A lovely little cafe tucked away in East Coker. There are tables inside and out and a good selection of dishes. We were a bit late for lunch on our visit but had coffee and plan to go back for lunch soon.

Best fish finger sandwich in Somerset! Ps don't listen to what Richard Kennet says. Do you know this cafe organised free mulled wine and hot chocolate for the village on Christmas eve Carol service. Its a local cafe, it should be over familiar, it's serves its local community and East Coker loves it.

Our walking group came here for lunch. The steak, chips and salad I ordered was served promptly. The steak was tender and had a lovely flavour. It is a popular place apparently busy every day of the week! It would be best to reserve a table if you are travelling from a distance. It was suggested by the staff that bookings need to be made a week or so in advance! I've noted the phone number so I'll be back without our walking group.

I have just visited this establishment and was far from impressed, first impressions were not great as the table we were given was full of cutlery and assorted items, along with this it was by the the classroom of which the door was open at all times which didn't make a good site, behind the bar was piled with clutter which looked awful.The owner persisted in calling all customers my lovely, which is just too over familiar. The back door which was by the kitchen was left open, which meant anything could wander in which is not good for hygiene, it the fact which offended me the most is I ordered tea and jam with my tea, I understand restaurants etc need to make a profit but to be given one piece of toast and then be charged £1.50 for this was a total insult. I will certainly not be visiting here again.

Popped in nearly on closing time expecting to turned away but they was happy to serve us, we only had tea and cake (which was great) and must come back to sample me the light lunches on offer. There's a few seats outside but nice and cosy inside, warm and friendly service and worth a visit if your in the area.

Good selection of coffees and cakes plus some lovely light lunches. Limited outdoor seating but inside is very nice indeed. Limited on street parking is the only drawback otherwise well worth a visit.

I love the Village Cafe. It's a comfy place to while away an hour or two, with friendly people, great food and drinks, and a good selection of special events every so often. And it's dog friendly, yay!!

Really nice café in Easy Coker. Serves delicious sandwiches and a whole host of hot food too. They move the inside around on a Friday night and serve drinks too! Open until 10.30 (on a Friday). The staff are the nicest people.

Popped in for a bacon and egg sandwich, which was very nice. If I hadn't eaten so much before I went there then I would have had the full breakfast 😃 Maybe next week
