This is a lovely room, set in tranquil and beautiful setting. The family that owned it were lovely and did whatever they could for us. The log fire was fantasic to sit next to as we ate a meal that competed with the 5 star buxton crescent we were at the night before. Breakfast in the morning was equally as good, the chef made me poached, scrambled and fried eggs (my request) all perfect. We felt well looked after and valued as customers. The decor/atmosphere in the pub was the only thing I thought could be improved but nothing that will prevent us from coming back again!

Lovely food as always. Service was a bit slow, but it was Valentines night so that is reasonable. Overall a really lovely experience that we will repeat.

Went with friends for Sunday lunch, it was absolutely awesome! I had the no t’key roast with all the sides (Yorkshire pudding, stuffing & cauli cheez).. everything was lovely and hot & delicious. Staff were friendly and the atmosphere was lovely… and now I know how close it is to my allotment I’ll be back v soon!!
