Went here for a work Christmas meal. It was booked in October, so well in advance. In November I called to ask if I could add another couple of people - only to find they hadn’t got a note of the booking and required a £100 deposit to book the table. Went in and paid the £100 deposit as requested and the table was booked. On the evening of the meal all was ok…..until we came to pay the bill. The manager said the meals were £10 more per person than advertised, as they charge more in December! This was around an extra £120 for our group 😱. We didn’t have an extra £120, and at no time were told the price would be higher in December than in October or November. Initially security staff were brought down to intimidate us to pay more. After lots of discussion and trying to reason with the manager he eventually relented and let us pay the price that was advertised when we booked. The whole experience left us feeling really deflated though. When anyone asked us afterwards how the Christmas meal went, it wouldn’t be the food, the atmosphere or the service that would be the first things that came to mind. Rather, the thought of being unable to leave the venue until we magically came up with more money is what sprang to mind. “The Venue” is almost like a swear word for us now - just driving past brings back memories we’d rather forget!

Booked for 18th birthday meal arrived to find it closed no notification to say no one answering phones dreadful we found somewhere better thank goodness

Bright full on lights. Music very loud. Filthy toilets (lord knows what the kitchen is like) . Sub standard food with limited choice. Stale poppodums. Browning salad. No atmosphere. Like a greasy spoon Cafe at best. Staff seems disinterested. Never again.

Visited the night before new years eve. Paid £21 No draft bear at all only overpriced bottles. Food was very limited at best very very disappointed

Came for the New Year Eve party, abysmal is the only word to describe it. There was nothing in the room to suggest a party, no room decorations, balloons or table decorations. They had removed most tables to allow space for dancing, not necessary as I doubt there was 100 people in the room. The music was varied but mismatched, Abba to Bangra to dubstep to charts... a single track of each. The music was also way too loud, and I don't say this because of my age. There is a visual warning light above the entrance to the room, clearly viewable from the stage. It used to be if it turned red, the music was too loud and it cut the power to the stage, this light remained red for most of the night. Obviously the safety aspect had been turned off. Drinks, there were 2 people working the very poorly stocked bar. I doubt if either had any idea what they were doing and they preferred to stand around talking rather than serve. Food, non available, not even crisps or snacks for children. Midnight came, the DJ stopped the music and 'guessed' when it was time for the countdown. And then went straight back to the disco without playing Auld Lang Syne, despite the fact everyone was crossing hands and forming a circle! Conclusion, there was nothing about the event to suggest a party, the music was too loud and too mismatched, there was no food, very little drink and the staff don't want/know how to serve you. 0/10.

I visited this place for dinner and the selection on the buffet was very limited. The food was not fresh and the chicken etc. was dry and bland, obviously stood there for a long time and I suspect from the previous day or earlier. We also tried the fish which they cooked to order. This was extremely salty and inedible. There was a very limited selection of sweets too, I usually like Gullah Jamons , I asked for custard or cream and they said there was non. Brian Hughes

Came up with a group of friends for reggae night, upon entering there was poly filler falling off the walls all up the stairs, the room was freezing cold, fridges was empty with hardly any stock, cider tasted like vinegar off the pumps and lights were kept on all night through the show. not a nice atmosphere at all. place needs some TLC. won’t be coming to any events up there again.

Me and my Husband visited at about 7pm on a Thursday evening November 2022. First impressions were very good, nice decor, big place. Was very surprised how quiet it was. We then were greeted by friendly waitresses who showed us to our table. The food was ok, we mostly had the pizza and pasta which was very nice, but thought that there could of been more a variety of foods and desserts. Not too sure if it was because it was empty that there wasn't much food put out, but we thought for the price we paid there would of been a more wider choice. May return again one day but not anytime soon.

Had not been for a long time, do not think I will be in a rush to go back. We went on a Friday night at 09:00, the room was full of smoke ( do not think the extractor was working). They were not replenishing the food, so there was little selection. The food that was on offer had formed crusts on the surface from sitting under the lamps. The overall experience was very poor (might have caught them on a bad night).

This is a short review. We booked a table and turned up a little early, for some reason the lady on entry kept thinking we were a party of 6 when there were two of us saying our booking was 6.15pm. We were taken to a table and just left there. We went to get a plate each and the first 3 plates were dirty and when we finally got a plate it did not feel the best. We looked around and noticed that the choice of food for the price along with the dirty plates was not something we wanted to continue. We told the staff as we left saying that we were not impressed and the plates were not clean. The staff tried to persuade us to stay here and that they would find us a clean plate. We would prefer all the plates to be clean rather then to find one. Sadly we left and googled somewhere else to go.

Went to eat here on the way to a show at Dudley town hall. Really surprised by the quality of food. Staff very attentive and the place is spot on for cleanliness too . Definitely use this eatery again .

This venue is beyond impeccable amazing drinks food music and prices. And the bar staff and management are very helpful and well mannered.

Booked here for sons birthday party and from beginning to end we was looked after by the friendly staff. The atmosphere was great and the food to crave for especially the lambchops.

Awful place, food poor, toilets disgraceful and place freezing cold. Went Saturday with friends we were sat by the bar area it was freezing cold a right draught blowing through, three times I asked for the blowers in the stairs to be put on finally the Managers offer was to move us closer to the buffet what a joke. The blowers were positioned on the stairs attached to a large gas bottle I’m sure this is not acceptable for health and safety as this is a fire exit!!! Food, ok not really very hot only luke warm, worst was the ladies toilets one toilet overflowing, no toilet paper in any toilets, cold water only to wash hands and the hand drier not working absolutely disgusting, such a hazard I’m surprised we are not sick, very very poor hygiene and health and safety issues. Manager a waste of time and the poor young waitresses and bar staff are spoken to like dirt because we heard it. Avoid this place at all costs!

Me and my partner visited the venue a couple days ago we are both in Wheelchairs and they staff couldn’t of been more helpful and accommodating they even took us round the back to get us in as we are in power chairs so stairlift isn’t suitable . The food was to die for we loads of choices the curry’s were incredible. The Staff are very friendly. We will definitely come back.

Food was beautiful and plenty of choice , desserts could do with a little more option though. Lady with dreads behind the bar was pretty cool but the rest of the staff seem very stiff and unapproachable

Would definitely recommend, went with family great drinks selections and food was amazing. Chefs were very accommodating for vegetarians.
