Good service, but bang average & expensive food. A BLT should NOT have cheese on it and a Jamaican style goat curry actually needs meat. Mine had hardly any, and even after sending it back it still came with hardly any in there. What is it with seaside places, you always seem to get ripped off. I had a bad stomach before it changes hands so Avoided it like the plague now they tried to reinvent the wheel. Make your menu, more focused, a bit better value and you’l get better reviews.

Staff good prices too expensive

Sat and enjoyed a meal last evening for the Caribbean themed night. It was excellent!! Throughly enjoyed it!!! Food, drink, entertainment & company was fantastic & so was the weather!! Thank you!! ☺️

We came here today, but we have not been here for a long time. Shown to a table and given menus. Another waitress came to take our drinks order. After being served drinks, she took our order. Steak pie, chips & veg Cheese pie, chips, and baked beans. Both meals were hot, but both meals the chips had been cooked several times and very hard !!! Not double cooked, more like 4 or 5 times. On paying the bill, we told the server, and all she said after telling her about the chips was that the rest was ok. Sorry, it's not good enough It seems it will be a long time before we return

Great for a pit stop whilst out walking

Fish & chips, good generally is lovely. Service needs much improvement. Need to improve their listening skills a lot! My partner asked for chips with cheese & gravy? Got cheese & chips. After quarter of an hour I had to ask for the gravy again, and no I did not pay for the gravy. We waited half an hour for two cups of tea also simultaneously. Observing on this particular evening, all they were interested were was getting the orders & Monday off the customer's. People after us were served first, others treatvwith priority before us. Not organised.

Great food tonight as always. Chicken caeser salad is huge!

Had to drop my rating on this visit as the menu had completely changed. My favourite meal was braised beef and my wife's was the vegi alternative. But no longer !. I had the cheese pie " It hadn't any cheese taste at all "

On Wednesday 3/4/25 it was our Diamond Wedding Anniversary, we and 15 other family members had a celebration meal at The Venue,Cleveleys. The service and food was excellent,the staff really looked after our Great Granddaughters and all of our guests making it a real night to remember.can’t praise The Venue enough Barbara and Graham Maxwell

A really good location to eat and enjoy celebrations

A nice place and we've been there quite a few times over the years. Staff were perfectly good at their job. They just didn't seem very happy,(maybe under staffed?) The food was nice but pricier than I thought it would have been. Maybe we just felt a bit out of it as we were with relatives in the dogs area so the atmosphere was a bit lacking and it was very quiet. Still worth a visit. Great cheese and onion pie.

A delayed Mothers Day treat for my mum. Rang ahead and confirmed the car park is back up n running. It is freshly tarmacked and painted. Arrived and had a lovely window adjacent seat. Huge pot of tea for mum, nice flat white for me. Both of us plumbed for the deluxe fish pie. What a spot-on choice that was. The veg steamed crisp. The fish pie piping hot and steaming. The flavours perfect. All on all a perfect treat for mum and we both loved it. Again, it's my go-to peace to spoil mum 😀

So today me and my friend went here for food. We ordered a couple of drinks which were put on our tab. We then ordered food and the guy at the ordering counter ( not the bar) said to us, "we will leave the tab open for you" we said thanks. After our food we then decided to order another drink at the bar and sit outside. My friend said " we will pay at the counter before we go out". We walked a few feet away from the bar and one of the young girls screamed at us " you haven't paid" in front of everyone!! Me and my friend were so taken a back. So we said to the girls " we was paying at the counter like we was told" she then proceeded to talk over us and said to us, " you should not go outside without paying"! My friend told her that there was no need to be rude to which she replied, " it's not my fault if you're embarrassed" me and my friend was mortified and I told the young girl that I should be speaking to the manger for her poor customer service. She thought this was highly amusing and just said " I'll go and get him". She came out with the manager sniggering and he come to the bar still chewing food. I asked him to come away from the bar so we could talk. Basically he seemed dis interested and did not care that me and my friend had been made to feel like we was going to run out of the building with two small bottles of Prosecco!!! I'm appalled and disappointed in the lack of Customer support and also the fact that if the young girl thought we should have paid at the bar then she should have spoke to us privately and in a way you speak to Normal human beings. Will not be returning and I will be taking it further.

Went for a meal last night great choice on the menu we all had a different meal and starter for 22 pound mushrooms for 3 crochet potatoes for 1 main 1 pork steak 1 steak and ale pie 1 gammon 1 burger absolutely beautiful and all the staff were excellent and friendly highly recommend the venue we will be back soon

Great food and great service. Beautifully decorated and the views are amazing on Cleveleys promenade. Reasonably priced and would highly recommend. If you would prefer a window table I would advise booking in advance.

Cheap and cheerful had to pay £2 for a dog sausage. Mocha was more of a hot chocolate and not very hot.

A last minute need to find somewhere for tea in the area led us by chance to The Venue and what a great find. A good sized off road free car park. A nice lively and family friendly restaurant, with lovely service by Katie. The food (fish n chips) was excellent, good sized portions and great value too. However if you order a pot of tea to share the teapots are just big enough for two, and they’re not great pourers either, but good ones are always tricky to find. However the best thing about this restaurant is the sea views! If you can try to book in advance and ask for a table by the windows! Cheers.

Located on the front in Clevelys dropped by for late lunch. It’s better looking on the inside than the out and has a cafe feel. Service was warm and friendly and the lovely Jennifer served us. Food was delivered promptly and was ample portions and tasty👍👏

Had a wonderful time here with my wife and 2 children (age 7 & 9). The service was perfect throughout, the beer selection was excellent and the bar looked very well stocked generally. The food was to die for! The kids absolutely loved their spag bol and pizza - best ever apparently. My wife loved her koftas, and my massaman lamb was absolutely sensational. Very satisfying all round, would recommend and will be back again.

Had roast beef dinner, just 2 small roast potatoes (not fresh ) and they make crispy Yorkshire puddings and then pour gravy on top making them soggy

Impromptu visit for lunch midweek, whilst out shopping with my mum on my day off. The venue has a large carpark next to it specifically for its customers. We were greeted and shown to a table by a very pleasant member of staff. My mum asked for a table with a sea view which wasn’t immediately available but as soon as one was he offered it to us. We were served promptly even though the place was pretty busy. We both ordered steak and ale pie with chips and veg which was tasty, well presented and piping hot. I like the fact that they offer smaller portions for people with less of an appetite. This isn’t available in many places and its a nice touch. Definitely recommend, will return 😊

The food is always nice here. We've been visiting for years. Whilst Sunday lunch was nice, we're not sure that it was worth the money. The few vegetables were julienne style (thinly sliced). The roast beef seemed to be pre-prepared/sliced. It was nothing special on this occasion and it was expensive. We gave 4 star rating as we have always had a good opinion of the venue. We will return, but we doubt we'd have roast beef Sunday lunch again. Thank you.

Booked a xmas lunch for a large group of 27 people in December. The staff managed our group really well. The service, food and ambience throughout was excellent. Everyone said how much they enjoyed the lunch. We also came for a impromptu lunch on New Year's Day with a group of 13. Again, nothing was to much trouble and the previous experience we had, was repeated. Highly recommended. The Venue is located on the sea front with a good large car park at the side.

We went for the second year running for NYE. Absolutely brilliant again, the food and service is simply “class.” Freddie Mercury brilliant. You need to book if you haven’t tried it

So we have been having Christmas dinner here for a good few years, and it has only got better every time my only criticism is that the salad was a little wilted and not up to its usual high standard additionally the music was loud however this is probably due more to our table placement than down to the venue itself so overall very good service good food and a good way to spend your Christmas day well done venue!

Went here today on a works Christmas do. Although the food and waiter/waitress service was excellent, the place was so cold that we had to ask to move to another table (and it wasn't much warmer even at the new table to be honest). The venue was not at all Christmassy either. Just one solitary Christmas tree and a few crackers on the table and that was it. What really spoiled it though was the fact that an attempt was made to overcharge us (they had completely ignored the "two for £x" offer) and although the manager did knock this off before we paid, he made no apology, nor offered any explanation as to why the overcharge attempt had occurred and was pretty darned brusque about it. Maybe that explains why the place was so quiet? I won't be going back again.

Visit to Blackpool and a lunch treat from our friends Andy and Sarah, who live in Cleaveleys and eat here often. We absolutely loved it! Really nice layout comfy, chairs, great atmosphere. The food was very good and the staff were so friendly and helpful, especially the slim blonde lady. Very smart and clean toilets too and extra bonus dog friendly with a dog menu! Pearl had chicken breast and veg. Can't wait to be in Blackpool next year to re-visit 👌👏😀 Diana and Steve Stone Staffordshire

Went to an Abba tribute nite for our Xmas do. The food was lukewarm and very basic. They were aware, in plenty of time, I was allergic to onions but still gave me a starter with chutney with onions until I pointed it out. I had roast beef with no gravy, which is the norm with an onion allergy. The beef was awful. Not even offered horseradish. Very disappointed as I invited a lot of people from the Lake District and the food and service was a big disappointment

Visited today (first & last time). The food was less than adequate. Ordered fish & chips. The fish was cremated and utterly tasteless, the triple-cooked chips tasted like they had been cooked a hell of a lot more than that and the mushy peas were bland! Needless to say, a lot of the meal was left on the plate! Think the ‘chef’ needs to go back into training or, at least, should learn how to follow a recipe!!! Total disaster and a complete waste of money. Definitely WOULD NOT recommend 👎🏻

We both had fish & chips with mushy peas. Our meals arrived, the batter was burnt (almost black) and the fish was tasteless also the chips were hard. At £16.95 per meal it is a disgrace. We would expect a far better meal for the price we payed.

Went for a christmas lunch. No cutlery or serviettes on the table. Some christmas crackers were handed out as an after thought. Slow service. Limited menu. Starter was cheese croquettes - tasted no cheese + sauce dip was awful. Main was Turkey roast. Sloppy stuffing. Basic veg + mash. Very uninspiring. Staff disappeared when it was time to pay. Passed on the 3rd course therefore my bill was changed to a 2-course. Coffee not included in price. Wont be returning or recommending to other locals. Overall very disappointing + not festive at all

My wife and I took our daughter and our grandchildren and spouse's in total a party of 12 the service was brilliant as was the food would highly recommend wouldn't hesitate to go back

Attended a party night last night no party atmosphere Food wasn’t what it said on the menu and very bland no taste to some of the dishes Some of our party had to sit with Coats on as they had the kitchen door open Tried talking to Managment who was very rude with us Band were good but wasn’t party get up and dance songs won’t go back And we payed £40 but they left non party payers in to watch band not right !

Went with my work for our Christmas party last night and all had a good time. Good choice of food and definitely the best quality food we've had on a Christmas night out ever. Attentive, friendly staff who provided a quick and accurate service. Good atmosphere - busy and lively enough, but not so loud that you couldn't have a conversation... Until the live music started, which on this occasion were local covers band 'The Jeps' and to be fair they were very good.

It's good to have a nice meal and take the dog. There's a doggy menu also in the allocated room and plenty of water bowls available.

My partners food was cold, it was sent away to be microwaved a second time. My food was soggy and bland. Not a single thing was made fresh as it came to our table in under 10 minutes and considering we ordered a lot of meat and veg, I don’t think this is possible. The atmosphere was similar to a run down cafe in the middle of town centre. A pint of larger and a coke £5 each. Our food and drinks came to a total of £43. Far too expensive for microwaved food that arrived both soggy and cold.

Went for a birthday party here a few weeks ago. It was a cute little venue perfect for a party. However the bouncer on the door was very strange and stroked my arm when I said I was cold. Overall she made me uncomfortable. Drinks were very expensive but this was kind of expected.

Always enjoy the food though potions did seem smaller this time.

Brilliant restaurant right on our doorstep. We have eaten here many times and feel that it deserves our praise. The menu gives great choices every time and the staff are professional and friendly. My wife chose the seabass fillets last night which were absolutely delicious. She said that they were far superior than the seabass we had in Tiggis in St Annes last weekend. I had the chilli which was equally good.

As always excellant, wirfe has dietery problems, they coped magnificently many, manly thanks.

Disappointed in the meals we had for what you pay, and the two soft drinks were £7.25 which I believe is expensive. Shame not as good as it once was. Got same meals as last time but less of it, don't know whether we'd go back.

We had lunch all four of our meals were excellent quality and all different items, the whole experience was really pleasant from being greeted when we arrived and being served by the friendly staff.

WE HAVE BEEN TO THE VENUE FOR 3 DAYS OUT OF OUR WEEKS HOLIDAY. THE FOOD IS GREAT, AND THE STAFF BRILLIANT. WE ARE REGULAR TRAVELLERS, AND EAT OUT IN RESTAURANTS ALL THE TIME. WE HAVE TO SAY, THIS IS BY FAR, ONE OF THE BEST PLACES WE HAVE EVER BEEN TO. I WOULD NOT HESITATE TO RECOMMEND THE VENUE, TO ANYONE. LONG MAY IT CONTINUE. OTHER RESTAURANTS SHOULD TAKE NOTE, OF THIS VERY ORGANISED ESTABLISHMENT. NO LESS THAN 5 STARS FOR BRILLIANT VENUE.

Our favourite place to dine. Service is always fantastic, speed of food arriving is generally very quick, and the food is always excellent. Nice choice of drinks at the bar too.

We regularly visit and drink cafe lattes when we get together with friends for Sunday morning coffees. The varied menu suits all tastes. The views of the Irish Sea are splendid. We often see the Isle of Man boat ' The Manxman' on the horizon and watch as it sails into Morecambe Bay.

It was very busy today, but the staff were amazing, very efficient and friendly.

We decided to bring a friend to have Sunday lunch here as he was over on holiday (plus we hadn't been here for a while). The greeting on arrival was very courteous and we were promptly shown to our table. Given ample time to peruse the menu, our drinks were then brought to the table by another member of staff who afforded us the same level of courtesy. Our order was taken and I have to say that the Sunday lunches were absolutely fantastic: very, very tasty (and the roast potatoes were fabulous, just like my mother-in-law used to make). We chose the bigger portions which I managed but unfortunately it left me with no room for a dessert. That's next on the agenda so we will be back. Every single person there is a credit to this establishment.

What a lovely little hidden gem this place is delicious food reasonable prices and just on the beach from wonderful on a sunny day.

The ambiance is serene and conducive to relaxation. I visited the establishment for a cup of coffee, which was expertly crafted and delicious. The only potential area for improvement lies in the pricing, which may be considered slightly elevated. However, the overall experience, coupled with the exceptional atmosphere, justifies the cost.

This is my go to place when I’m in Cleveleys. We have had many birthday celebrations at the Venue and also my mother’s funeral afternoon lunch. I have been twice this weekend, once with my son and again on my own. The food is first class and so is the service. I will continue to be a regular visitor. Thank you to all the staff and managers.

Spirit nightclub Celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary here last weekend. Management/Staff were brilliant - food, music all excellent. Great venue for a party.

We weren't expecting much as it didn't look all that from the outside. When we got inside, it was a lot bigger than we expected. And again didn't look anything fancy. This all changed once we were seen by the waiters on the waitresses who were very accommodating, very professional and efficient.. Then the food arrived. I'm definitely going there again and if anybody asks me. I might not tell them because it feels upso quickly. We might not be able to get a table next time.

Amazing a la carte food. Not what you'd expect from the dated exterior. So it was an extremely pleasant surprise to find exquisite food. Highly recommend the halloumi fries and sea bass.

The family and I visited on Saturday and we had the most amazing meal. The venue isn’t the cheapest however it makes up for it in quality and service. I hqad the steak pie which I can honestly say had to have been the most amazing pie I’ve ever tasted. The staff were so polite (thank you Leigh and Jen) our experience was just lovely and we will most definitely be back again.

I'm no connection with the review below however, as a local who doesn't usually go in The Venue as it's not the cheapest in the area, we went in midweek with friends and encountered the said member of staff who wasn't exactly polite. 19/07. Had I been in on my own I'd have turned tail after passing a few comments myself.

Cool place food very good I had mixed grill which was very good and the steak was amazing nice flame grilled flavour been before had lamb massaman and that was also amazing won't be disappointed with this place

Our lunch was amazing. Excellent quality and very fresh. Service with a genuine smile. Even our four legged companion was catered for with her own menu. Highly recommended. Will go again next time we visit our friends

This glorious dog friendly Venue which has always served us hot, tasty, food, has let us down today. Really relished the prospect of a £10 lunch club with a nicely varied menu. Unfortunately our food took over 25 minutes to arrive and was mostly cold. As my diabetic husband had already taken his medication in anticipation of food, we could not have complained and awaited replacement meals. Hopefully this is not the new normal.

Just on the off chance went for Tea/Dinner at the Venue. Partner has to be careful as he is Coeliac so we have to be vigilant. There was quite a lot of choice for him and I had the small Turkey/stuffing/potatoes/veg etc., The food was spot on, lovely staff, dog friendly. Will be going again soon. Thank you Venue!

Lamb £20 served with a selection of potato's mash not much in the way of a selection .. served with yorkshire pudding ???missing must have been with the other potato's!! Lamb microwaved as hot middle and warm outside certainly not fresh boiled veg crinckled cornered carrots. When informed of above .. OH il let them Know thats £60 pounds please poor very poor paid as rest of food was fine

Attended for Father's day, didn't book, but was seated immediately, service excellent, choice on the menu brilliant, if indisicive you might be a while because everything sounds so very good. We ordered the steak and ale pie, Massaman Lamb curry, and kids smash burger, my partners steak and ale pie was absolutely amazing, perfectly slow cooked meat in nice ale gravy, double dipped chips, side of gravy and braised veg, she was very happy, it's one of the Venues best dishes. Because it is Father's day, I wanted to try something different, opted for Massaman Lamb curry, with garlic naan bread, honestly was stunned meat was perfectly cooked on the bone falling apart, while in the past I've had Massaman currys that have a creamier sauce and are focused on coconut, this one was more like a Lamb Jalfrezi with potatoes, however, it did not disapoint, good balance of spice, and absolutely plenty on my dish, see images, the garlic naan was very nice with slight mint, garlic and char taste. I have not been in The Venue for good while, some other reviews saying its hit and miss, it was definitely a hit today especially considering its Father's day and its very busy, keep up the good work, and pride in the food and service. My only negative would be on the drinks, very expensive, £6.00 for a bottle of Old Mout, £4.90 a pint of Wainwright, Half a Lemonade £2.85 ( refuse to tip when the prices are inflated ) Was tempted to remove a star for this, but it's Father's day, and they did so well on everything else.

I went along with a group of friends. Others enjoyed their meal, but I had chosen the 'fritto misto'. The fish on the meal was nice enough, but I couldn't eat the salad underneath it as it was absolutely swamped in dressing. Literally swimming in it. It spoiled the meal for me.
