Bellflower in Wyre

Been twice since the refit. The food was ok, although they need to learn exactly what a Cob Salad is! Went yesterday. It was brisk not mega busy. Partner sat down, ai went to the bar to order drinks so we could browse the Menu. No joke I was stood there Well Over Ten Minutes. Well over. One guy on the bar filling. Lasses with ice and making up table orders. Completely ignored me. In fact came to within 5 feet of me repeatedly for glasses and ice. One Lady taking meal payments at the bottom. Completely ignored me. And several very young waitresses sloping around with iPads and no desire to help also completely ignored me. Finally I just walked out After 10-15 minutes. Get a grip and get a system. You never ignore people waiting to order. It’s not only very rude it also looses you business!

Rate this place 110% lovely food and staff. I have a wheat allergy , which usually creates anxiety whilst eating out. They take allergies seriously here and really assure you that everything will be OK.

The Bellflower is well worth a visit! The staff are very efficient and really friendly they were so accommodating and helpful. We will definitely be back as the food was excellent too and we cannot recommend The Bellflower enough. Ruth & Pete

Came at 8.30 on Christmas Eve to *pub* and kitchen, and was told no drinks being served as setting for Christmas Day. 5 of us, £25 a round, three rounds bought in a different pub, £75 out of the door.

Changed hands & now with JW Lees - great brewery & pub looked fantastic. Unfortunately, walking in at 8.45 on Christmas Eve we were told to leave as the pub was no longer serving pints… at 8.45 on a Christmas Eve

Last night was the only night over Xmas for my partner and I to go out together. Checked on website which said food served until 21:30. My partner arrived after work, checked with staff who confirmed food being served. Ordered drink, went to order food shortly after to be told food stopped serving. Same old Bellflower

Lovely place, great atmosphere and lovely food.

Not good as wanted a 90 year old to sit to eat at a bar stool table when there was tables available that was not resvered plenty of spaces 35 minutes wait for food was not a problem

Looks great after it's renovation! Had a tasty burger. I've never seen such clean cutlery whilst eating out 🍴 I could see my face in the knife 😂 Great work!

Our first visit to the refurbished pub, We went on a saturday night early which was lucky as it did get busy, i had the duck breast and my wife had the lamb shank both are highly recommended, the service was good and the new layout is much better. I will recommend anyone to visit here.

Didn't book but got a table on a Wednesday night. Was told at the bar it was table service. Sat down and waited 30 minutes for someone to take our drinks and food order. Drinks didn't take long to arrive but the food was nearly an hour. It was thankfully hot and tasty.

Absolute gem of Pub. Stopping close by in our Campervan so had a walk over for a late afternoon Beer. Very welcoming, Dog friendly with some great Beers. More a food establishment rather than a pub, booked a table for later. So glad we did, Food was exceptional and the Service was 11/10. Will definitely return

The Bellflower has just reopened. It's really lovely inside, very much like a Lees pub, Manchester-style but lovely. The food was nice and the staff were helpful but a little disorganised, probably just because it's all a bit new. Couldn't fault anything about the general service other than it was a little slow and they forgot us and the table next door to us for coffee and dessert. Just teething problems and we'll definitely be back 🙂

Lovely new referb, Been in a couple of times since JW Lees took it over. Not tried the food yet so can't comment on that.

First time visit and I will definitely be back, such a friendly atmosphere the staff couldn't do enough for us and we're so nice and welcoming and the food was truly wonderful. 5 stars definitely have to try it.

Me and my wife went to eat with you I like a good burger 🍔 so this is very disappointed with I ordered the double burger the burger itself had very little taste to it was not worth the money the bun it was in the bottom half of the bun was so wet and uneatable my wife had fish my wife enjoyed her meal at the time my wife is unwell so I would of sead something my food would of been taken away my wife left to eat by herself till my food returned sorry for this review would we return may be not

Loved the new Bellflower! The interior was great, our waitress was really friendly and the food was brilliant. It was the 1st weekend and so you expect teething problems but everything was great. There was even a band playing christmas songs which my little girl loved. Can't wait to go back to try the cheese fondue!

Busy, atmospheric. Nice new decor and layout. Service was attentive, and the menu choice was varied. The food itself was lovely and appeared to have been cooked and presented with consideration. We would happily go back. Note . Their xmas menu is now available, 2 course for £24. Give it a try.

Renovations look nice, staff not so nice. Very unwelcoming now much better atmosphere before the renovations. Changed for the worse unfortunately won't be going back.

The Bellflower has only just opened after an extensive renovation and is now a J W Lees Pub and Restaurant. We visited on the 3rd day after reopening. Great meal, great service and friendly atmosphere. My only reservation was the fact that the whole pub seemed to be dog friendly apart from one area which is tucked away to one side with no comfortable chairs. Please remember that not everyone dogs!

On our first visit since the Bellflower reopened, we each enjoyed an excellent meal of sea bream. Looking forward to our next visit.

Fantastic pub/ restaurant. The host paul was amazing, very friendly and kind. The pub is so child/ dog friendly and lovely atmosphere. I would recommend this place to anyone 😃👌👍

This place has gone down hill. Which shows when us visit it's always quite. The food is all ping meals but worse still it's pre portioned don't order soup you get 3 table spoons if you lucky. There are so many better pubs local to visit.

Went into The Bellflower with some family. Staff were very attentive and helpful. Upon arrival, our food was piping hot and very well presented. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food. Would recommend 10/10.

As weather was poor, birthday plans fell through. So, a family Sunday roast was order of the day. Staff were absolute stars. Helpful, friendly and service was great. Food was really good, great portion size and plenty on kids menu Add to the mix a great hand pulled pint of Wainwright's Bitter, was a good day

Disappointing. It has gone from super dog friendly, with treats, water and throws / cushions etc to NOTHING Specifically called in for dog friendly purposes to find they were no more. Very sad

Went here last night with my Son. The guy behind the bar was very welcoming and we had a friendly chat about different ales (So far so good) We ordered our food two Doner Kababs with fries didn't have to wait too long but when it came the kababs were luke warm to cold and the fries were only warm. After trying to make the best of it I sent my meal back as I can't stand cold food to have it warmed up. When it eventually came back it was still not hot. Shame I had already paid on my card because there is no way I would have paid full price. I couldn't be bothered with moaning at the time so hear is my review (Very poor meal)

Decent all-around place and nice staff

Always good food and service however disappointed today as they have taken the Birra moretti offer off. This has been on for a few weeks now, but does make a difference when the offer is on. Alot of people were walking out when they realised the offer wasn't on. Come on brewery put the offer back on !!

Me and my partner came to the bellflower today we both ordered the fish and chips waw it was the best fish&chips we have had in a long while! Good atmosphere and staff was friendly and polite. We will be visiting regularly

A really friendly place and a great reception from the manager, a great guy! Huge open and light pub with a relaxing atmosphere. Staff are well trained, smart and attentive, food is simple, beige and reasonably priced. Curry was good and plenty of food. Thank you 😊

Called in on spur of the moment, won’t be going back. Ordered fish finger sandwich and hubby accidentally ordered hunters chicken melt. He meant to order the light lunch version. Both sandwiches came with chips which was the best part of the meal. My fish finger sandwich was literally two slices of bread with lettuce and tartare sauce and 2, yes 2, small processed fish fingers, not even decent quality ones. I paid almost £8 for that! Hubbys sandwich was a sub with 2 small chicken fillets, breaded and covered in bbq sauce and cheese, he didn’t eat the bread so that was a waste of another £8! Also should say we waited a while for these sandwiches even though the pub wasn’t really very busy. One person on bar, one person waiting on so presumably one person in the kitchen? Good help them if they get a sudden rush of customers, they would never cope. Definitely will not be returning.

The pub was fairly busy. The staff welcomed us and were very pleasant, helpful and attentive. There were no plates left on tables and the floors, tables and bar were clean and tidy. The food came to us in a timely manner and was hot and delicious. It was a generous size meal.

I have just visited The Bell Flower and my party were greeted warmly by Anthony, the manager of the Bell Flower. My 90 year old mother suffers from back pain, and I asked Anthony if there were any cushions available, he explained there were none within the pub itself, but within a minute he presented my mother with a cushion, which he had gone to his private quarters to get one - brilliant customer service. My order was taken by Ellis, who was also brilliant and very patient as I needed to split the bill. The food was very good and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Anthony came over to see if there was anything else we required and to ensure everything was ok, indeed it was. We eat out regularly and have to say this experience was first class. Such a nice friendly atmosphere and all the staff looked like they were happy in their work. Well done The Bell Flower team, we will be back.

Stumbled across The Bellflower on a trip out from Manchester today .. oh my gosh ! It was so lovely inside where we were met with such friendly kind staff ... plenty of space inside with a wow choice of lovely seating , with the biggest beer garden we've seen 😲 .. fabulous menu 😋 .. we had fish and chips and a mixed grill .. excellent presentation .. decent portions and so so scrumptious !! Thank u all at the Bellflower as we will be returning again

Called as we’ve passed many times .. Nice welcome, but was quiet . Looks like it needs a full decoration makeover . Holes in ceiling and water stained . Food was poor .. nachos to start, for the price £9.50 I was expecting a decent bowl .. poor effort.. steak pie obviously microwaved and not very well . Peas cold and few chips Fish was ok but peas cold .. should of driven past as we have in the past

One of us had a mixed grill we thought the potion sizes were very small and the chips with all the meals could have done with being cooked a bit longer not soft enough and very pale looking.

Another excellent meal here... Last Wednesday . We shall return Thank you ..

Nice big pub with friendly staff. Garden is ok but a bit shabby with broken furniture and black bags of rubbish stuffed in the corners. I was shocked to find that this Marstons pub does not serve bitter and the substitute IPA Neck oil is £6.55 a pint, this has become the most expensive pint of beer I have ever bought. Won’t be going back soon.

We are visiting the area from Norfolk and this is our second visit in 4 days. It’s a lovely pub, with friendly staff and a chilled atmosphere. One of our girls had an allergy and this was dealt with brilliantly. Overall, the food was excellent and the staff were even better.

The food was just atrocious for me. First of all, I'll start with the good stuff. Perfect sizes for adults and tupperware was easy use. But then. The chicken and mushroom pie, the top bit you couldn't even cut. Possibly overcooked. Then the sausage and mash. The mash was more like a bunch of potatoes underneath sausages and it tasted like instant mash. And the sausages, perfect flavour, slightly overcooked. The side is peas. You can have either garden peas or other options. I chose mushy peas and they came out with garden peas. I don't like garden peas. However service and atmosphere was perfect. Dog friendly, friendly staff, kind and reasonable.

Travelling back to Carlisle we stopped for some tea ,met with friendly staff who advised before we even ordered that there was a little wait for food as been busy which was nice to be told in advance , ordered food and drinks and again another member of staff told us about waiting time nice to see honesty in advance , she served drinks lovely smile and good service , then food came up and all 5 of us who had ordered different meals really enjoyed them good quality and portions just what we needed before the final part of the journey north.

Been tonight with friends for tea. Lovely meal,hot and delicious. Friendly waitress who was very obliging. Really enjoyed it. Thank you.

i recently dined at the bellflower and decided to eat the mixed grill. the meats were all juicy and succelent and cooked perfectly as i requested medium rare. will be definently be giving this place another visit.

Ideal place for a small meal and drink during a walk

Hello bellflower came in today for Sunday lunch the staff and Anthoney who I believe is bar manager were most welcoming and attentive To our needs. The food and service were outstanding we look forward to returning on many occasions in the very near future. It seems to be the only public house with in reach of garstang town centre that serves a reasonable and extensive menu. Many thanks look forward to seeing you soon well done 👍

Use to go in on a regular basis with visiting family but stopped as the food and service seriously wend down hill,though we'd give it another try before the in-laws came up to visit! Wow,what an improvement, food was excellent, bar staff and the young lad waiting on were lovely, toilets were clean have no issues bringing the mother in law no! What ever you have changed,please leave it as it is.

Had a fantastic experience today whilst visiting this pub. Anthony greated us on arrival and showed us to our table. He explained the order square thing on the menu. I had jacket potato with veg chilli and cheese and house salad. Came and the amount of chilli was terrible. It was a desert spoon full. The house salad as stated on the menu was nothing like. Missing kale, brown rice, beans, quinoa. I just got some lettuce leaves, some of which were slimy. When staff came to ask how everything was I explained that the amount of chilli was non existent. She said ‘we said that when it came out of the kitchen’. My husband also mentioned the salad. She said ‘she would get some more chilli’. She then came back to say ‘we can’t give you any as the food comes in set portions and if we take chilli from another then that portion will be short’. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. I asked that my complaint be mentioned to the manager. I then realised I had no cheese on it. I went and got a menu to confirm and thought this is enough I want my money back. I went to the bar spoke to a man and said I think I should have a refund as no cheese either. He said we can offer you a free drink or dessert. I was driving and had already paid £3 for a small coke so did not want a drink nor a dessert. He couldn’t help any further. I said I am going finishing what is left of my dry jacket potato I think you all need to discuss the options as I am not happy. He did come over after 10 mins and offered a refund, which I took. Absolutely discussed with the food I received. Was dry, slimy salad and no cheese. How can this be happening. You are failing the standards you set.

Won’t be coming back ever I came with my two dogs was told on ringing their was ok their used to be a dog menu dogs sausage gravy charged £11.00 even dogs didn’t eat Not now Our food wasn’t nice boiled chicken for hunter’s chicken sent it back did eat or stay The lad that served us was really nice but food disgusting I wouldn’t recommend the place or food

Started regularly having lunch in Bellflower last summer , 2022, following a couple of really bad experiences in the Roebuck , where we used to go regularly. Always have a good experience in the Bellflower with great choices of good food from quick lunches to “ proper” main meals . The drinks are just as good from coffee to cocktails . Just been again today . Served by Paul who was professional yet friendly. Knowledgeable on the menu and went out of his way to assist everyone . The caramel apple tart was delicious!

Order wasn't taken correctly,hot drinks were served in cups without saucers,had to ask for these ,starter was served at same time mains arrived ,steak was over cooked ,no one asked how food was ,table was cleared no up selling skill in asking if dessert or more drinks required. Would not return.

The food was dreadful: My partner ordered a mixed grill and the steak was the texture of rubber and inedible. The sausages had been reheated, and also inedible. The chips were stale. I ordered fish and chips, and was told that it hadn't been prepared, so wasn't available. We will not come here again, and won't be recommending this place to anyone.

I had an amazing experience at the Bellflower Pub this weekend. The kitchen was open all day, and with 30% off all main meals, it was a fantastic deal. The food was delicious, the service was top-notch, and the atmosphere was welcoming. Highly recommend!

On my trip up to Scotland, I stopped at the Bellflower Pub for a meal, and it was such a great recommendation. The food was delicious and well-priced. I'll definitely be back on my next journey for another tasty meal!

the food was delicious. lovely & warm to eat. staff service was excellent. explaining on menu and polite. The whole atmosphere was welcoming and so comfortable. my first visit but will be returning soon with family & friends as the play area was great for the children both inside and outside.

Very nice food and staff. Have anaphylaxis allergies to sesame and nuts and staff were very helpful to inform me what I could and couldn’t have. Very clean and spacious with large beer garden and play park outside for kids. Love it here!

Visited the Bellflower today and had a wonderful experience. The staff were warm and welcoming and treat me very well. The pub had a good atmosphere and the meal was piping hot when it arrived at my table. The roast I had was the best I've ever eaten. Would highly recommend a visit to The Bellflower if you are in the area.

Good the people are rlly nice and the food is good one of the best places I've been everyone's really friendly great environment parkings good good walks near if you wanted to go for a little wander or something the canal near is very nice and the beer garden is good verry pretty and the staff are so nice and there's a good betting machine taps always cold and lots of drink options

The bellflower was decorated lovely and the pictures were all lovely to look at it wasn’t to overwhelming and busy and the staff were absolutely brilliant no matter what happened as there was a very rude man and they stayed calm and were still respectful the food was amazing and came in good time and it just felt like a lovely place to be and the beer garden looked great

I just had to write a review after 4 of us visited on Saturday for a meal and drink and was very pleasantly syrrprised how clean and organised the pub is and the staff were so friendly and so pleasant and appeared to be enjoying there job This obviously must be a reflection of the way the management team look after the staff. The food was extremely good you go to so many places today and the food is only just warm but this was served hot and every one had the meal at the same time We will definitely be visiting again and thanks to everyone

Went today with our children and our friends and children all good was excellent and not long wait time all came out hot definitely recommend only took a photo of the cowboy burger but kids meals had plenty and was very good portions,Got 2 sharing nachos 1 for adults and kids and had plenty of crisps and cheese and lots of toppings

Terrible service awful food certainly not up to there usual standards. Has it changed hands. Returned my food steak well overdone as asked for medium rare got well dne dried up steak chips looked like they ad been refried mushrooms dried up . Daughters gammon was like a piece of overcooked bacon never 8oz like it should av been . No sauce with the cow boy burger. All in all very poor

Came for Father's day. Ordered 3 steaks, all medium rare. Only 1 came out that way. Staff had beers on the side of the bar drinking away. If you're going to drink on shift doing it out of customers sight, and no it wasn't alcohol free, I saw it come from the tap! What was worse... vaping inside. Not only is it not allowed, we were right next to them with young children and all of us trying to eat. Definitely gone downhill since the new owners. Won't be returning anytime soon.
