From the moment we walked in, they were welcoming, friendly, and super attentive. The pizza was hot, fresh, and delicious – honestly some of the best we've had in a while. And the bottomless drinks? Such a great touch, especially with how quickly they kept them topped up without us even needing to ask. Jason and Kevin really went above and beyond to make our visit enjoyable. We were so happy to have him and his team serving the incredible Vaults Pizzas for our evening food, which was a real treat! Kevin made the planning process seamless and stress-free. During our initial meeting, we discussed every detail—what drinks to have, bar placement, pizza quantities, and topping choices. From that point on, he took care of everything, allowing us to focus on other aspects of our wedding. His professionalism and organisation were a huge relief during what could have been a hectic time. Even when we had to make last-minute changes to the bar’s setup due to weather concerns, Kevin and his team adapted effortlessly. The bar was relocated to our kitchen/dining area and set up flawlessly. Their calm, professional approach gave us complete confidence. On the big day, Kevin and his staff truly exceeded expectations. The tables were beautifully set with glasses, welcome drinks were perfectly presented and served to arriving guests, and the friendly bar staff kept the atmosphere light and inviting. Fantastic Pizzas and Great Service! We were so happy to have The Vaults Cafe provide the pizzas for our gym’s 10th birthday celebration. The pizzas were absolutely delicious and a real hit with everyone who came. They offered a great range of options, including vegan and gluten-free, so all our guests were well catered for. The food is okay... I've visited The Vaults a few times and for me, the menu has a plenty of variety, however the pizzas are too heavy on the passata and cheese, meaning they feel quite oily and heavy on the stomach. I have also noticed the base of the pizzas I've had previously can be slightly undercooked, though this is likely related to the amount of passata and cheese leading to a wet base instead of a crisp base. The atmosphere is nice, but feels a "little" basic with very shallow bench seating and could benefit from a little maintainence here and there, but overall quite a lovely and cosy atmosphere! The service is brilliant. I cannot fault in any way. Very friendly and conscientious staff who are quick to attend your needs while providing a homely atmosphere. Overall, I would say that with improved pizzas and a little maintenance to the overall aesthetics, The Vaults has potential. Should pizzas improve, I would gladly return.

The Vaults’ Pizza Van catered for my wife’s 50th birthday party. A hundred guests, all highly complimentary about the very high standard of food and friendly service. During the planning, Kevin was incredibly supportive, giving great advice to help us shape the evening.

It’s a wonderful place with excellent food. The staff are wonderful and are extremely attentive to food allergies, intolerances and preferences. The best gluten-free bases I have tasted and plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. Great drinks too! I highly recommend a visit!

we highly recommended the vaults for a dine in experience, a casual lunch, a celebration or bottomless brunch with the friends. (takeaway available). impeccable service and delicious fresh food. my partner and i visit regularly since the venue opened a few years ago. i hosted a babyshower last sunday where the team provided us with there outstanding catering service, not only did they deliver the pizzas to us at the time requested, the food was still as fresh as when served in the restaurant and facilitated on a day which the restaurant itself isn’t open ! kevin and his team always go above and beyond to ensure every customer is happy, with years of experience behind them, the attention to detail is second to none. thank you guys ! han and matt.

Finding out that the £25 bottle of red wine, Via Nova Merlot, that we had at the vaults Monday evening can be bought online for £3:15 and a case of 6 bottles can be bought for £18.90 has taken the shine of an enjoyable evening. A 300% to 400% mark up is ok, but 800% mark up leaves a bad taste. As we were the only couple, out of five tables,, drinking wine maybe the locals knew something we did not. The pizza was nice.

Had a bottomless brunch with a large group and had such a great time. The food was delicious and the service fantastic, particularly Jason, who made sure we were completely looked after (and drinks topped up!) the whole time. Really made the experience extra enjoyable. Would recommend to anyone and will certainly be returning!

Would like to comment on Jason and Meg’s working service there as it was great, we had constant service, constant checks if we needed refills when/if we needed it and we had a great time. They were interactive with my son and had a colouring/pencils out ready for him to do after we made a special request for this. I would definitely come back here again for a bottomless brunch. We love going to The Vaults for a meal, the food is always amazing and the staff are always so friendly, so we hired the pizza van and bar for my 30th birthday and it was such a success! As always Kevin and the team were super helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. The pizzas were delicious and went down a treat for all my guests. I couldn’t recommend enough!

One of the best gluten free pizzas I’ve had. Very high quality and nicely made. Staff was very helpful and friendly. We had a group there and the lady serving was very great asking if we needed more drinks or food regularly. Cute inside as it’s a listed building very cosy. One of the nice places to go in evening/ late night.

Lovely little hidden gem 💎 hidden below street level in the heart of Wantage, The Vaults Pizza Café is an intimate, cosy place filled with laughter. Keven our charming server was a delight and welcoming to all who entered their establishment. Well recommended for an enjoyable evening out with family or colleagues.

Decent enough pizza, nothing amazing and it took longer than expected despite the place being relatively quiet. The service and atmosphere however were second to none with a lovely, bubbly explanation of the food and offers. Quick to ask for drinks refills, and quick turnaround of drink orders. A nice place to go with friends and family.

We held my husbands 50th birthday party at The Blue Boar, Wantage and The Vaults mobile pizza van provided us with 80 artisan pizzas in 2 sittings, 40 at 6pm and 40 at 9pm. We weren’t ready to have 40 pizzas at 6pm but this wasn’t a problem for Kev and his team, who happily agreed to move the first sitting to 7pm. The van was parked up close to the pub and the pizzas were all cooked fresh at each sitting. We had 5 different varieties of pizza and they were amazing. We had friends who aren’t local who all told us how delicious these pizzas are. They’re not your bog standard pizzas, they really are something special. Thanks Kev and team. We’ll be coming for bottomless brunch soon.

We hired the VW pizza van for our recent staff away day in Wantage. We were very impressed with Kevin and the team, they were friendly, helpful and flexible. The food was amazing, and many of the staff raved about how good the food was. Everyone was excited to receive their food from the VW too, it just made the day more fun. Kevin catered for a few complicated dietary requirements which was really helpful. The fact they also provided salads, drinks and desserts meant it was very good value for money. There was loads of food and everyone was full and content. Thanks so much to Kevin and the team for making the day so special!

Kev and his team served up the most delicious pizzas at our recent wedding reception, all our guests commented on how great the food was. The food came out fast, fresh and piping hot. The Vaults supplied the most amazing pizzas from their beautiful converted VW camper van for a joint 40th birthday party at our garden in July. The food just kept on coming and everyone commented on how delicious the pizzas were. The van looked amazing all set up and was a real talking point. Kevin and his staff were fantastic throughout. I’d highly recommend The Vaults for any event.

We stopped in Wantage to collect the OxTrail bulls for the Sobell house charity event. This is one of the best pizzas I have had in a while. Many places serve the same old boring ingredient. Not at the Vaults. I had the Boar. Local Oxford blue cheese and boar sausage. Fantastic depth of flavour. Highly recommended.

Do you like pizza and being underground? Of course you do, you're a ninja turtle. The revolution of this place, probably near a decade ago, has been amazing, from a fetid little disco bar to a quirky little restaurant with the best pizza in town. Service is attentive. Beers are excellent craft-ales and value is good. I could lose the folk versions of 2000s hits playlist but it's not a deal breaker.

4 of us tried the bottomless brunch today. It was so good and we had the best time. The atmosphere, food and service are amazing. Definitely coming back very soon.

For our wedding we hire both the VW bar and the pizza trailer! We absolutely loved them, with both myself and partner being VW enthusiasts. The team were amazing, special thanks to Charlotte for helping me clear up, you are a real credit to the team. We received so many compliments for the pizza and the bar, everyone really enjoyed them. We had a couple of guests with allergies and these were catered for with no issues. We can't wait to visit the Vault itself one evening. Thank you again for such an amazing experience and service!

Didn't book but they managed to fit us in. Place was busy for a Tuesday so it took a while to get our food but the craft beer made up for it.

⚠️To all goat's cheese enthutiasts⚠️ Run don't walk to this place and order the goat's cheese pizza. It was heavenly. Yeah, your boyfriend might not like your smell afterwards but it's worth it, I promise.

We booked a cocktail van for our wedding last Saturday, Hannah and Holly were nothing short of outstanding, they worked so hard all evening, the guests absolutely loved the cocktails and myself and my husband even got to have some photos in the VW making our very own cocktails. We had 2 gluten free pizzas and a garlic bread. The bases were really really good, so hard to find and really grateful for some lovely staff too! We are doing the mi g Alfred’s way bike ride and this was a very very welcome stop!

Occasionally order take out pizza from here. Very delicious and authentic ingredients used although in an electric oven I believe. However I do not suggest you order a dessert - the tiramisu portion was tiny and massively overpriced and not sure when it was made. Stick to the pizza :)

Just wanted to say what an absolute gem of a place this is ! I’m not usually a pizza fan but this place has transformed my opinion! I’m well and truly hooked ! The staff are so welcoming , the food is amazing and the service ( even when extra busy ) is second to none ! I requested a Margarita with added jalapeños, olives and it was superb ! Nothing was too much trouble ! Definitely highly recommend ! I also ordered a bottle of prosseco which was chilled and delivered in a cooler and very reasonably priced . This place is well worth a visit ❤️

A gorgeous little atmospheric restaurant with delicious food and exceptional service. I visited recently with some girlfriends and we all left saying what a wonderful evening we had had and how we would be back again soon! The staff are polite, friendly and attentive - nothing seems too much trouble. The menu is great value for money. A lovely, worthwhile visit although I would highly recommend booking as it is often very busy/ fully booked.

Very disappointed with my visit to THE VAULT WANTAGE this evening - To start off staff were swearing when me and my partner walked through the door , took 20 minutes for our food to come - and after we asked for the bill at the end of our meal we waited for another 20 minutes before going up to the bar and being told “If you sit down I’ll bring it in a minute” after this I imagine the staff member realised she was being rude and said we could pay at the bar before passing us the bill and walking off again - A chef then had to process the payment - Very unsatisfactory experience. Also the fact they think it is acceptable to pour half a can of coke into a glass and charge £2.00 for it is ridiculous and quite honestly shocking! What i would like to know is how they have so many positive reviews? I don’t think I would be too far out to say these are coming from fake accounts? Safe to say we will not be returning.

£2 for half a can of coke. Pizza was good but rather go wildwood. Upon arrival staff laughing uncomfortably about the fact the kitchen smelt as one of the members kindly pointed out to us. Noticed they kept staring at me and my partner. I’ve never had a bad experience eating out but today very unhappy

Lovely place tucked away, the Oxford blue cheese Pizzas cannot be beaten! But some great new additions to the menu too (incl chorizo starter and chilli-honey pizza). Always warm service and a relaxed atmosphere.

We visited the Vaults for 40th bday party, there were about 16 of us that had bottomless brunch and everything was amazing! Everyone was so impressed by their pizzas and the service was incredible. We are a thirsty bunch but I don’t think we ever had an empty glass! Thanks again so much and see you again soon.

Absolutely BEST pizza we have ever had in the UK! I mean it even tastes Italian!! We have dined in on few occasions, have had takeaway many times, this place never disappoints!
