The Vaults in Vale of White Horse

We held my husbands 50th birthday party at The Blue Boar, Wantage and The Vaults mobile pizza van provided us with 80 artisan pizzas in 2 sittings, 40 at 6pm and 40 at 9pm. We weren’t ready to have 40 pizzas at 6pm but this wasn’t a problem for Kev and his team, who happily agreed to move the first sitting to 7pm. The van was parked up close to the pub and the pizzas were all cooked fresh at each sitting. We had 5 different varieties of pizza and they were amazing. We had friends who aren’t local who all told us how delicious these pizzas are. They’re not your bog standard pizzas, they really are something special. Thanks Kev and team. We’ll be coming for bottomless brunch soon.

Love this place. The pizza is top notch, the staff are friendly and it's such good value for money. They also do a bottomless brunch which I hear is lovely! Highly recommend!

We hired the VW pizza van for our recent staff away day in Wantage. We were very impressed with Kevin and the team, they were friendly, helpful and flexible. The food was amazing, and many of the staff raved about how good the food was. Everyone was excited to receive their food from the VW too, it just made the day more fun. Kevin catered for a few complicated dietary requirements which was really helpful. The fact they also provided salads, drinks and desserts meant it was very good value for money. There was loads of food and everyone was full and content. Thanks so much to Kevin and the team for making the day so special!

Kev and his team served up the most delicious pizzas at our recent wedding reception, all our guests commented on how great the food was. The food came out fast, fresh and piping hot. There was also a great selection and they catered to all our guests dietary requirements. Kev was also super helpful with suggestions and planning for the event. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! The Vaults supplied the most amazing pizzas from their beautiful converted VW camper van for a joint 40th birthday party at our garden in July. The food just kept on coming and everyone commented on how delicious the pizzas were. The van looked amazing all set up and was a real talking point. Kevin and his staff were fantastic throughout. I’d highly recommend The Vaults for any event.

We stopped in Wantage to collect the OxTrail bulls for the Sobell house charity event. This is one of the best pizzas I have had in a while. Many places serve the same old boring ingredient. Not at the Vaults. I had the Boar. Local Oxford blue cheese and boar sausage. Fantastic depth of flavour. Highly recommended.

Do you like pizza and being underground? Of course you do, you're a ninja turtle. The revolution of this place, probably near a decade ago, has been amazing, from a fetid little disco bar to a quirky little restaurant with the best pizza in town. Service is attentive. Beers are excellent craft-ales and value is good. I could lose the folk versions of 2000s hits playlist but it's not a deal breaker.

4 of us tried the bottomless brunch today. It was so good and we had the best time. The atmosphere, food and service are amazing. Definitely coming back very soon.

For our wedding we hire both the VW bar and the pizza trailer! We absolutely loved them, with both myself and partner being VW enthusiasts. The team were amazing, special thanks to Charlotte for helping me clear up, you are a real credit to the team. We received so many compliments for the pizza and the bar, everyone really enjoyed them. We had a couple of guests with allergies and these were catered for with no issues. We can't wait to visit the Vault itself one evening. Thank you again for such an amazing experience and service!

Didn't book but they managed to fit us in. Place was busy for a Tuesday so it took a while to get our food but the craft beer made up for it.

⚠️To all goat's cheese enthutiasts⚠️ Run don't walk to this place and order the goat's cheese pizza. It was heavenly. Yeah, your boyfriend might not like your smell afterwards but it's worth it, I promise.

We booked a cocktail van for our wedding last Saturday, Hannah and Holly were nothing short of outstanding, they worked so hard all evening, the guests absolutely loved the cocktails and myself and my husband even got to have some photos in the VW making our very own cocktails. All our guests commented on what a great idea it was. Thank you to Kevin and the team for making our wedding day extra special

We had 2 gluten free pizzas and a garlic bread. The bases were really really good, so hard to find and really grateful for some lovely staff too! We are doing the mi g Alfred’s way bike ride and this was a very very welcome stop!

Occasionally order take out pizza from here. Very delicious and authentic ingredients used although in an electric oven I believe. However I do not suggest you order a dessert - the tiramisu portion was tiny and massively overpriced and not sure when it was made. Stick to the pizza :)

Best pizza in Wantage! Always 10/10. Everything about the Vaults is always great. Clean. Friendly staff. Great drinks too. Children welcome. You can hire out for private functions. We attended a friend's 40th last night it was lovely. Also , we attended a wake here it was also flawless. Great job guys!

Welcoming, friendly and helpful staff. The food and drinks aee delicious. They cater well for food intolerances and allergies, even going to get buffalo mozzarella for a friend who can't eat cows milk. Service that goes above and beyond. Thank you very much. Thoroughly recommend

A great little find to get my head down with work while car was being serviced. A friendly and welcoming environment - conveniently located in the centre of Wantage for a perfect latte and tasty spot of lunch. Amazing value for money. And a bonus - WiFi was very fast - 🙂

The vaults provided bar and pizza oven for charity night. Bar staff were amazing, quick polite and personable., Kevin delivered the most amazing pizza's and kindly donated to the charity. Kevin brought service and the vaults wonderful atmosphere and pizzas to Old Mill Hall Grove. Thank you 😊

Definitely go again, friendly staff and delicious pizza's. We had chorizo and goat and the wild boar with a free garlic bread as it's a Thursday. Would definitely recommend for eating in or takeaway. Very happy 😊

We went on a double date with our friends who don't live in Wantage, and they were so impressed! The food was delicious and there is a good variety to choose from. Our waiter was also really friendly and attentive.

Such a cozy little place, the pizzas are really tasty and big for a good price (£11). Staff is also really friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend coming here for a nice evening out.

Just wanted to say what an absolute gem of a place this is ! I’m not usually a pizza fan but this place has transformed my opinion! I’m well and truly hooked ! The staff are so welcoming , the food is amazing and the service ( even when extra busy ) is second to none ! I requested a Margarita with added jalapeños, olives and it was superb ! Nothing was too much trouble ! Definitely highly recommend ! I also ordered a bottle of prosseco which was chilled and delivered in a cooler and very reasonably priced . This place is well worth a visit ❤️

In a small town overwhelmed by pizzerias, The Vaults stands out as head and shoulders above the rest. The pizzas are great, the staff are so friendly and accommodating, communication about takeaways is clear and helpful. I've also eaten in here and had similarly great service. They do a brilliant vegan pizza, too.

A gorgeous little atmospheric restaurant with delicious food and exceptional service. I visited recently with some girlfriends and we all left saying what a wonderful evening we had had and how we would be back again soon! The staff are polite, friendly and attentive - nothing seems too much trouble. The menu is great value for money. A lovely, worthwhile visit although I would highly recommend booking as it is often very busy/ fully booked.

£2 for half a can of coke. Pizza was good but rather go wildwood. Upon arrival staff laughing uncomfortably about the fact the kitchen smelt as one of the members kindly pointed out to us. Noticed they kept staring at me and my partner. I’ve never had a bad experience eating out but today very unhappy

Very disappointed with my visit to THE VAULT WANTAGE this evening - To start off staff were swearing when me and my partner walked through the door , took 20 minutes for our food to come - and after we asked for the bill at the end of our meal we waited for another 20 minutes before going up to the bar and being told “If you sit down I’ll bring it in a minute” after this I imagine the staff member realised she was being rude and said we could pay at the bar before passing us the bill and walking off again - A chef then had to process the payment - Very unsatisfactory experience. Also the fact they think it is acceptable to pour half a can of coke into a glass and charge £2.00 for it is ridiculous and quite honestly shocking! What i would like to know is how they have so many positive reviews? I don’t think I would be too far out to say these are coming from fake accounts? Safe to say we will not be returning.

Lovely place tucked away, the Oxford blue cheese Pizzas cannot be beaten! But some great new additions to the menu too (incl chorizo starter and chilli-honey pizza). Always warm service and a relaxed atmosphere.

We visited the Vaults for 40th bday party, there were about 16 of us that had bottomless brunch and everything was amazing! Everyone was so impressed by their pizzas and the service was incredible. We are a thirsty bunch but I don’t think we ever had an empty glass! Thanks again so much and see you again soon.

Absolutely BEST pizza we have ever had in the UK! I mean it even tastes Italian!! We have dined in on few occasions, have had takeaway many times, this place never disappoints! Pizzas really are excellent, staff super friendly and knowledgable, we highly recommend. If you are after real authentic Italian pizza this is the place to go! Well done!

Been here 3 times since it first opened and each time beats the previous! The food has always been great for its price and staff are excellent despite it often being busy! Truly a wonderful asset to Wantage’s town centre.

Mediocre mains considering being classed as a pizzeria unfortunately. pepperoni missing that spicy kick and tomato sauce lacking substance. Having to be put aside by takeaway customers as a dine in was also a let down. staff accommodating and friendly and cheesy garlic bread a good recommendation though. Has the potential but could do with some refinement in some areas

The Vaults is down the drain Waited 25 minutes for a starter. Then told the starters are just going in the oven and will be 5 minutes? A further 15 minutes for the mains. Told takeaways took priority as there was a lot of them. Why not prioritise diners in your establishment that will always spend more money? Basic business knowledge? 1 napkin for a table of 3. Common sense? Seated at a table overlooking the toilet with an occasional waft whenever the door opened. I genuinely felt disheartened for the other diners waiting for there food, and there were just 8 diners. Pepperoni from Sainsburys, nothing authentic about it - no spice or meatiness to it. Flabby base, bland tomato sauce. Don’t let a 5 star fool you

THE BEST PIZZA IN (ANY) TOWN!!!! Absolutely my fave pizza place. Great variety of toppings including vegan option. I have tried them all and my go to is the the wild boar. No other can compare, it's just delicious. 5 stars from me and my family.

We visited for the bottomless brunch for a Hen! The service was outstanding and very accommodating. The pizza was also incredible with lots of vegetarian and vegan options. Probably one of the best pizzas I’ve ever eaten!

Took a family of 10 to the vaults for a birthday meal. Excellent food and service. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Very good value as well. Will return and would thoroughly recommend to others.

I waited an hour for a pizza, when they said 25 minutes. Ordered a can of Coke Zero, I got half a can of regular coke, saw the lady filling 2 glasses with the same can lol. The tomato salse on the pizzas is invisible, very watery. I was excited to go there for the reviews but it wasn’t worth it.

Can’t stop thinking about how delicious the Oxfordshire pizza with mushrooms was when we visited on Saturday 26th February. The service was friendly and efficient. The surroundings very comfortable. Can’t wait to visit again !
