Never have I’ve been to such a warm and welcoming cafe ! A great spot to grab a coffee or breakfast and unwind Would highly recommend this place to any visitors or locals in the High Wycombe Town

What an amazing find! Halal menu, tasty food and amazing prices. Their pastries and sweets are always so fresh and tasty!

Best thing is it's Halal, Chicken Tikka Painini with cheese, No flavour of the chicken tikka, plus it arrived Luke warm, very disappointed... Jacket Potato was warm not hot, Extras Very small slices of Haloumi cheese, Only descent thing was warm chips and drinks... I definitely wouldn't go back.

They took absolutely ages to serve the food. Got one of the components of my order wrong and then the second time round just threw the plate on the table and walked away with a really bad attitude. Had to send it back as they got it wrong again. Still I remained polite. I have been here before and the service was good. On this occasion it was really bad. One of the waiters really needs to brush up on his customer service training. I won't be going back again. It's overpriced with bad attitude and service.

My husband was trying to find a place to wait for our son finished his tutoring class and came across Vanilla Pod. He said the coffee was delicious and he’s very fussy about it, and very impressed by dessert table. Our daughter was with him and loved the cakes. I can’t wait to come back next week and try it myself.

Fantastic service and food! I was served by a lovely waitress called MJ Fraser who was efficient and upbeat! She put a smile on everyone’s faces and brought our food quickly - it was delicious! Would definitely recommend and come back!

This litle café is big in theyer service, accommodating to your requirements, and ver good quality food. You should visit here if you want attentive service and good food.

This used to be our go to spot for breakfast in the mornings, visited yesterday after a while with my sister. I ordered an Eggs Royale and Eggs Florentine for her, both arrived fairly quickly. Recipes or chefs seem to have changed as the Hollandaise sauce has was very runny and sadly, my sister going egg shells in her breakfast. We both did try to get the attention of the gentleman serving us numerous times - he didn’t seem to want to come over (or ask us how the breakfast went). This meant I had to take the plate over to the counter to him, to show him the egg shells to which he very defensively said “this happens in 5 star restaurants too”, which is very understandable but not the kind of response that will attract loyal customers. A simple ‘we are very sorry and we hope to see you next time” would have been more appropriate.

Lovely cafe, very welcoming by the staff and a warm atmosphere. Great selection of food and patisseries on offer at a good price ☺️ Will definitely visit again.

Quick pitstop for a coffee with friends before going for dinner. Really great looking place with some small tables outside, great to watch the world go by. Service was good, coffee tasted great. Didn't have cake as we were off for dinner, but the choice was immense and looked really tasty!

We were in Hugh Wycombe to see our daughter, who is a student at BuckinghamShire New University, and had brought her grandparents with her. We went into the cafe when it opened at 9am and were welcomed in. There was relaxing music, books to borrow while you wait and the space was clean, tidy and airy. Our daughter had a light breakfast of pancakes which were made to order - they were lovely and light; my wife had a Turkish mint tea, the rest of us had coffees and mocha and my parents had scones, which they said were also particularly nice. There was a selection of homemade cakes and baklawah, as well as gift sets, so we bought some of that to take away. Would definitely return next time we visit.

This is a delightful Moroccan cafe, with a very friendly host. The food was fresh, and excellently cooked to order. The atmosphere was much calmer & quieter than the nearby pub, where we had expected we might be eating our evening meal. We are glad we came here instead. We can recommend it very highly.

Had a great lunch with really friendly service for a large family group today celebrating my great niece’s dedication. Very impressed with this lovely place and the nice people there.

The vanilla pod has a bright and quaint decor of a British cafe. The drinks and food are delicious and the wait is neither too long or too short., perfect for a nice conversation with friends and family. You can choose what you want and pay at the counter. It is also not so loud so you can have a conversation while enjoying a quiet atmosphere

This is a very pleasant and atmospheric spot (the bookshelf downstairs - ahhh!) with fantastic and kind staff, lovely food within reasonable prices, fantastic cofee and some insane desserts. This place is child friendly with some typical kids' food options like chicken goujons or fish fingers and chips, mac and cheese or mini pizza. Waiters are kind, patient and helpful. The only downsides of this place are - toilets, located on the very top floor which means a long climb, and the temperature in the venue, which was quite low on a very cold day (I was freezing upstairs). Other than that - great. Only £49 for five people (with decent size portions). I would definitely recommend.

What a beautiful place. Service was great, very attentive and friendly staff, nice food. They've got a fair selection of cakes which looked really fresh. They also do halal meat so that's another plus I would highly recommend this cafe.

What a nice warm welcome to this restaurant. A friendly family diner with a wide choice on menu. My wife had fish and chips (large fish) and I had mixed grill which was amazing. We will definitely be returning here on our next visit to High Wycombe. Thank you Cam.

Never open on time. Very disappointing

First time I've been to High Wycombe and this little place caught my eye. The cafe was lovely, with some amazing looking cakes, but I think they must've been short-staffed as the service was very slow and a touch chaotic. Nonetheless, when the food did arrive it was lovely, and the Morrocan mint tea and baklawa was excellent. I'll definitely be going back.

Appalling. Been coming here for years, since before Covid. When Covid hit, I thought, support the small business. Bad mistake. I’ve been bringing me friends here for years, it was our catch up spot. The manager (he has glasses, you’ll know who he is) is awful. Speaks rudely to you even though you’re a PAYING customer. Forgets food, made me wait over an hour then realised he didn’t even put my order through. I’ve been nothing but patient with them, but the way the owner treats people is disgusting. I’ve bought so many people here and all I get is the worst attitude. Rather give your money to big businesses and get a good service than be treated like garbage here. Appalling. Also, they’re always out of jacket potato apparently.

Took ages to be served. Wasn't busy at all, Got wrong order, scrambled eggs was very dry, toast taste like cheapest bread toast from Tesco, guacamole taste like sour mashed peas, food was cold, portion was tiny. First and last time visiting

I love coming here. The staff are super friendly & the drinks/food are reasonably priced & really tasty. My café of choice in High Wycombe.

Very, very slow service. Only ordered a pastry and coffee. Took ages for someone to come and take my order, then ages for it to arrive. The Almond Twist very disappointingly tasted of nothing.

It was my sons birthday yesterday and a few of went there for breakfast. The food was very good quality and pipping hot. The owner overheard that it was his birthday so he played happy birthday on the speakers and added a candle to his slice of cake. It was a lovely gesture from him. We will definitely be coming back to try the lunch and dinner options.

Enjoyed a couple of visits. Went back but unfortunately they had run out of jacket potatoes, having a large number of people that day. The food is good, relatively good price and service good too.

Nice Café. Positives: Great variety of food, offering interesting breakfast concepts like lamb chops in the enhanced full English breakfasts. They serve good tea and coffee and nice selection of pastries. The boss/owner is polite and attentive. Negatives: portion sizes were small for what we paid for in our opinion. Some staff were just really unhelpful borderline annoying and the food itself is just okay. Like it did the job as opposed to somewhere nice to go for food... Probably won't go there again as I've tried it now. But not because it was a bad experience.

Very disappointed with the food. A couple of years ago, it was great. Good portions and was worth the price. Not anymore! I feel like they have cut corners massively especially to the fish and chips. I was served a small fish and 8 chips. Lol, I'm a joke thinking I was going to enjoy my lunch.

Delicious tagine, friendly host and clean cafe

Normally i only review high quality donner, today i have to share this gem. Went there today as advised by a Textile business opposite. We ordered the Fish and Chips and a Ribeye, however they were not available. Under the direction of the Gentleman behind the counter we ended up ordering the Meatball tagine and the Chicken fajita. I was utterly surprised how fresh and tasty my meatballs were which were cooked to perfection. The tomato based sauce was delicious and the ingredients were fresh, i could taste everything, basil, coriander, chili... it came with some toasted bread which worked perfectly to mop up the leftovers. My wife loved the Chicken Fajita, everything (including the side salad) was treated with the utmost respect, the salad was fresh and delicious and it was constructed perfectly The lady who served us was smily, friendly and well mannered, we were offered a complimentary Moroccan tea but we went with a single english tea to go. 10/10 on both service and food. I was really surprised, i will say we went when it was not very busy so maybe when its busier you might not get the same experience.

Went into there, waited for 20 mins, got up to order, was told ‘I haven’t forgotten you’ by the owner, waited another 10 mins without getting my order taken. Walked out. 30 mins of my life I won’t get back. Horrid service.

Had friends over so we all went for a Sunday brunch as our preferred destination did not seem to be open. Every main course other than 1 out off 8 was awful or mediocre at best. The poached egg ensemble was good, the pizza, fish and chips, chops, and steaks were not. I was so embarrased by quality I refused to allow my friends to pay half the bill for them and their kids. Won't be going back.

Could be a lovely place but service was all over the place, enough staff but all walked around looking confused.

The food was nice, but they couldn't get my order right & considering it was only avocado on toast it shouldn't have been too hard. I asked for only one slice of toast not 2 & for the toast to be buttered instead of guacamole as I don't like it. I was sitting close to where the orders were taken so was able to correct them on my request for not guacamole, but the order still came with 2 slices of toast and no butter

Myself and my daughter went to the vanilla pod for the first time today as came shopping to high Wycombe, we both found it to be really lovely, the food was excellent the staff very polite, and spotlessly clean, we would both definitely recommend going there and will be returning when we vist high Wycombe again

Very nice cafe and restaurant area. Icr choice and our sons loved his milkshake. My wife and I had coffee and paninis. Very comfortable and not over crowded. Would definitely go again.

Having seen online reviews I was looking forward to eating here but found it disappointing. We ate here late on Saturday so perhaps it had been a long and busy day but we weren’t overwhelmed. The staff weren’t rude but weren’t they friendly either. The pastries all looked delicious but this was to be our main meal of the day so unfortunately we opted for mushroom omelette and home made fish fingers and chips. The fish fingers were deep fried for a minute or so too long so the breadcrumbs were super crunchy and the fish dry, the chips seemed to be the cheap catering variety deep fried and served with grease, the ketchup was a luminous, gelatinous blob. The peas arrived a few minutes later and were spot on. The omelette was not the least bit light and fluffy and my husbands review was simply ‘ I’ve had better, it’s not as good as yours’. While the food was edible, we wouldn’t bother going back when Wycombe has so many other options.

Was visiting my daughter who attend the local university, and stopped here for breakfast, was halal so brilliant for us, the service was fantastic, food was delicious. Will be visiting again when we come back.

Nice friendly cafe, always good food

The motoccan waiter and thr Egyptian waiter were very nice, however the guy with glasses behind the counter was very rude and had angry face and didn't let me give extra tips for the waiter he said they don't accept tips, I don't think he like Arabs coming around for drinks and food, he made me and my wife feel very uncomfortable and that's why we don't recommend this place at all, and we'll never go back there again 👎🏻

We only popped in for a cheese toastie but the owner was so nice and my daughter said the toastie was the best she's ever had

This has become our favourite place to visit for a coffee or brunch, and quite simply a friendly welcome. All of the staff are friendly and attentive and the owner exceeds all expectations by ensuring he speaks to all of his customers, old and new. Highly recommend this cafe and will be visiting again next weekend

We went for breakfast before our shopping. Kids had pancakes and we had eggs florentine with extra turkey bacon. Absolute delicious and excellent service, a great way to prepare for a shopping at Christmas, I will definitely go back and strongly recommend.

Our breakfast was cold but we were really impressed with the owners attitude. He was very cross with the chef and told us we didn’t have to pay. When it arrived again and was hot it was very tasty. He was very lovely and the cafe was full of what seemed to be regulars. We will be back.

I only gave this 2 star as the coffee is pleasant. The food was reasonable a few years ago when they opened. A very good selection of cakes and lunch time deals . However since some staff moved on Farah and Shaz this service and attention to detail has gone too. Until last year I would still found some of the food ok they were a few occasions the food was not cooked properly and I had to wait for this to be re cooked. But the last visit was enough for me not to return, the food was not tasty at all. I hope they improve this back to how it was as it’s a small business it would be great to see this busy again

Lamb instead of pork focused cooked breakfast, different, I found yummy. Partner not keen on cooked breakfast, but the great cakes solved that one. Highly recommend for wycombe breakfast out bunnies.
