The Vanilla Bake Box in Harborough

A very good friend very kindly brought me here and I was blown away. Beautifully decorated. Very friendly staff and delicious food. We had toasties which were very generous and took cakes home! Will definitely be back

Only small in size, but this tearoom certainly packs a visual punch. Pink is very much the theme. Pink walls, pink crockery, pink menu, etc. All very girly but nicely done. The welcome could not be any better. I got the impression that the staff couldn’t do enough for me. Friendly and welcoming doesn’t even begin to describe them. I only popped in for a coffee and a snack but succumbed to one of large crusty baps on show. I went for ham and cheese with mayo, which was delicious. I was issued with a loyalty card on my exit and I hope to be able to use it again soon.

Had another visit to this delightful little home made “cakery” if there is such a word 😂. The Vanilla Bake Box never fails to delight and produces utterly delicious bakes. This time I also took home beautiful gluten free cupcake masterpieces for my coeliac and wheat allergic husband, did not have time, unfortunately to sit and relax, too busy today. Not only are these gorgeous but there is a separate prep area to control the production of cakes for those with allergies and food intolerances. I guarantee you will not know the difference, I am non coeliac and I cannot tell. There are a range of delicious coffees available along with a choice of different teas, plus soft drinks. I have never been here and not seen the owner and her very small “team” working flat out, but always met with such charming professionalism. The work involved to stock this establishment, as it is all home made by the owner is phenomenal, five stars are certainly not enough. We are fortunate that it is not far from my home but even if you are only passing through, treat yourself you will never be disappointed.
